"I came across it unofficially pitched as “a vegan version of McDonald’s,” even serving a “Big Zac” burger on its 100 percent plant-based menu. Working under the corporate motto of “changing the world, one burger at a time,” Plant Power Fast Food launched in 2016 and operates eight Southern California outposts; its first locations outside California have been confirmed for Las Vegas. The first to arrive will be an under-construction drive-thru near the intersection of Craig Road and the 95, across the parking lot from Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, housed in a 4,039-square-foot purpose-built structure it will share with Bonanno’s NY Pizzeria; the brand is currently hiring but an estimated debut date has not been announced. Later in the year the brand will open a 3,000-square-foot restaurant in Enterprise near the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Richmar Avenue—also equipped with a drive-thru and sharing the building with a 4,154-square-foot expansion for The Broken Yolk Café. The menu is a vegan mimic of a familiar burger chain, offering a full range of burgers (including the “Big Zac”), buffalo wings, “chicken” tenders, fries, salads, wraps, shakes, kombucha floats, breakfast dishes, and desserts." - Bradley Martin
