The Best Bars in Portland, Oregon | Bon Appétit

"A newly opened bar dedicated to India’s beverage culture, its interior sports Bollywood posters and a Hindi “no phones” sign, and the menu centers on house infusions and washes—ghee‑washed rum, jasmine‑washed gin, and multiple lassi riffs—served with spiced lotus nuts as a drinking snack. Food offerings include chura vada pav, pani puri, and a Goan chicken curry omelet; standout drinks include the nonalcoholic Baarish (pineapple, tonic, sandalwood syrup) and creative cocktails like a guava Bloody Mary or a coconut‑washed scotch concoction with masala syrup, date purée, cream, and Amaro Ramazzotti, plus selections from Indian microbreweries and single‑malt distilleries." - ByJordan Michelman

Significant Portland, Oregon, Restaurant Openings for January 2025 | Eater Portland

"A newly soft-opened cocktail bar in Concordia bills itself as the only Indian cocktail bar in the U.S.; its drink menu is sorted into categories of “adventure level” and includes a Bloody Mary made with guava juice instead of tomato juice as well as a cocktail featuring coconut fat-washed Scotch, kalonji masala syrup, tamarind-date puree, cream, and Amaro." - Harry Cheadle

Lovely new addition to the neighborhood! Such tasty food and really cool take on Indian snacks I’ve never had before in Portland. Gorgeous drinks and super cute spot! Get the Mumbai sammy the chura vada pav! So good.

We stumbled on Pleasure Mountain and unexpectedly had one of the best meals we have had in recent years. The cocktails are unique and inventive and the food was just incredible -- better than most other Indian places we have tried in Portland. Give Pleasure Mountain a shot and you won't be disappointed!

Just had an incredible experience here, the newest Indian restaurant in town, and wow—this place is a game changer! From being greeted immediately by Ariel and Jim to the decor and vibe...it's all a winner in my book! The food? Authentic, bold, and delicious! Every bite was packed with deep, vibrant flavors that made me want to try everything on the menu (we nearly ordered everything). And let’s talk about the cocktails—next level! Each one was expertly crafted, flavorful, and just as impressive as the food. If you're looking for a spot that delivers on taste, atmosphere, and top-notch drinks, Pleasure Mountain is it. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu that will change every 3 months!

We have been excited to visit this place ever since it opened but life got in the way. We finally made it here for our anniversary. The cocktails were quite novel yet very delicious! The ambiance was way cool. And don’t get me started on the Indian street food—absolutely delicious. The pani puri is the best I’ve ever had in Portland. The cauliflower fritters were also on point. We look forward to returning.

Tucked away in Northeast Portland at 5513 NE 30th St, **Pleasure Mountain**—officially subtitled *Indian Cocktail Point Cum Bites Centre*—offers an adventurous and refreshingly original take on Indian-inspired mixology. While the food menu draws from the rich culinary traditions of the "four corners" of India, we came specifically to explore the bar program—and were not disappointed. Each cocktail was bold, inventive, and deeply rooted in South Asian flavor profiles. Highlights included the *Chhota Sangam*, a delicate blend of house Kashmiri-spiced aquavit, fino sherry, and Cocchi Americano; the *1919*, a boozy nod to the classics with Old Monk Rum, Rittenhouse Rye, Punt e Mes, Benedictine, and masala bitters; and the *PM Martini*, made with Ford’s Gin and house marigold vermouth, artfully garnished with betel leaf. Bartender Ariel was not only skilled but also incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, adding a personal touch to an already memorable experience. We’ll definitely be returning—next time with an appetite for the food as well.

Stumbled on this place while out for a walk in the neighborhood. What a great surprise to see Indian inspired cocktails! The nimbu paani inspired drink is perfection. Also loved the outdoor sitting area and the wonderful service provided by Natalie.

Went with friends, we loved this place! All the food and cocktails were delicious. Really unique flavor profiles in the drinks, fusing gin and IPA was actually amazing. Adventurous side of the menu is worth trying! Also, so glad they had Pani Puri - my favorite food from travels in India, and the food pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend this spot, Hope they have much success in business

Yelp
Unlike any other cocktail bar I've been to. First of all, the space is gorgeous inside. Love the art and decor, with the nod to traditional Indian culture. There are also two tables out front and a few picnic tables out back (both areas are dog-friendly) if you prefer to sit outside. Second, the flavors are on point. I can certainly appreciate a classic cocktail, but for those with an adventurous palette, this is the place to come to. A lot of consideration went into the cocktail menu and there are even three levels, depending on whether you want something more classic, want to full-send it into spice, or somewhere in between. And don't forget their food menu. It's small but mighty - great for apps and sharing a bit of everything. I had the cauliflower fritters and it's honestly the best fried cauliflower I've ever had. The batter was light and crispy and it was seasoned super well. Great happy hour specials, too! Nothing to not like here - I'll be back!

Yelp
The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the servers were SO SLOW. It took a very long time for someone to come take our order and check in on us. The food and drinks came out pretty fast but then it also took forever to get our checks! Other than that this would have been 5/5. They have super unique cocktails and Indian street food. Honestly everything we had was good so go try something new! I think my favorite was the cauliflower fritters and the sandwich.
