Pleasure Mountain

Genuinely the most interesting and delicious (because sometimes interesting is not necessarily a positive descriptor) cocktails I have tried, maybe in my entire life. The focus on aromatic flavors complementing each other had me fascinated from the first to last sip. I will absolutely be back, if for nothing else, to try some of the other cocktails that look amazing on this menu. Food was also awesome; very authentic flavor, and it just felt right. Highly recommend the Pina Colaba if you want a drink that smells like it'll be a little savory, but then it's actually sweet and punchy; and then the Dhoop is also fantastic. Get wild with it. So awesome.

Lovely new addition to the neighborhood! Such tasty food and really cool take on Indian snacks I’ve never had before in Portland. Gorgeous drinks and super cute spot! Get the Mumbai sammy the chura vada pav! So good.

Just had an incredible experience here, the newest Indian restaurant in town, and wow—this place is a game changer! From being greeted immediately by Ariel and Jim to the decor and vibe...it's all a winner in my book! The food? Authentic, bold, and delicious! Every bite was packed with deep, vibrant flavors that made me want to try everything on the menu (we nearly ordered everything). And let’s talk about the cocktails—next level! Each one was expertly crafted, flavorful, and just as impressive as the food. If you're looking for a spot that delivers on taste, atmosphere, and top-notch drinks, Pleasure Mountain is it. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu that will change every 3 months!

We stumbled on Pleasure Mountain and unexpectedly had one of the best meals we have had in recent years. The cocktails are unique and inventive and the food was just incredible -- better than most other Indian places we have tried in Portland. Give Pleasure Mountain a shot and you won't be disappointed!

Went with friends, we loved this place! All the food and cocktails were delicious. Really unique flavor profiles in the drinks, fusing gin and IPA was actually amazing. Adventurous side of the menu is worth trying! Also, so glad they had Pani Puri - my favorite food from travels in India, and the food pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommend this spot, Hope they have much success in business

Super super great place to eat!! Essentially it literally only loses points based on not listing out ingredients (you can't really ask for no cilantro if you don't expect it, etc). The drinks were really really great and really creative, the vibe was good, and the price was not *amazing* but I definitely felt like I got my money's worth out of the experience. Every adventure level of drink seems really worth trying, it seems like more of a rating of friendliness to new drinkers or people who prefer not to taste the alcohol or have heavy flavors as much. Great place, would definitely go again. Please guys, list the cilantro: it tastes more like tin foil than soap to me, it's not a flavor that you can get over super easy if you have the thing. Other than that, y'all rock and you're an amazing meal

Stumbled on this place while out for a walk in the neighborhood. What a great surprise to see Indian inspired cocktails! The nimbu paani inspired drink is perfection. Also loved the outdoor sitting area and the wonderful service provided by Natalie.

Super unique spot. Very creative drinks - split into adventure levels from prudent to intrepid. Great vibe. Haven’t tried the eats yet (definitely coming back to try) - but sampled some tasty bar snacks - puffed, spiced lotus pods. Awesome find.

The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the servers were SO SLOW. It took a very long time for someone to come take our order and check in on us. The food and drinks came out pretty fast but then it also took forever to get our checks! Other than that this would have been 5/5. They have super unique cocktails and Indian street food. Honestly everything we had was good so go try something new! I think my favorite was the cauliflower fritters and the sandwich.

We were so curious about what was going to go into this little spot off of 31st and boy do we feel lucky! Wicked unique experience, flavors, and libations. The owner is super sweet and very passionate. We have been several times and always bring friends. This spot is off the street so easy to miss but don't sleep on it. A neighborhood gem that we hope endures for a long time!

Unlike any other cocktail bar I've been to. First of all, the space is gorgeous inside. Love the art and decor, with the nod to traditional Indian culture. There are also two tables out front and a few picnic tables out back (both areas are dog-friendly) if you prefer to sit outside. Second, the flavors are on point. I can certainly appreciate a classic cocktail, but for those with an adventurous palette, this is the place to come to. A lot of consideration went into the cocktail menu and there are even three levels, depending on whether you want something more classic, want to full-send it into spice, or somewhere in between. And don't forget their food menu. It's small but mighty - great for apps and sharing a bit of everything. I had the cauliflower fritters and it's honestly the best fried cauliflower I've ever had. The batter was light and crispy and it was seasoned super well. Great happy hour specials, too! Nothing to not like here - I'll be back!

More of a cocktail bar w/ a few small plates/bites than a food destination for me. The food is a fancier take on classic Indian street foods, better fare than the usual cocktail bar bites. I enjoyed the Ros omelette w/ chicken curry & I liked they came w/ a couple buttery buns to mop up all the curry goodness. A bit expensive and small portions. But they have an extensive list of some very creative cocktails, if you're into that I'd check them out.

Great food great service fun and interesting cocktail menu! There is nothing like this in Portland and I'm so glad it's right in my neighborhood.
