Delicious meal! We were assigned to sit downstairs but the experience was actually great. All workers paid attention to details for clearing out the table each course. All the food selections we picked were excellent.

We had a great experience here. We sat downstairs in the wine cellar. I read the other reviews in regard to lighting and I wasn’t bothered with it, I loved it. The acoustic is basement acoustics, there was a loud table a meter from hours and it felt as if they filled the space entirely. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The carbonara specifically was the best I’ve ever had. By the time we got the meat and potatoes we were already full, but just couldn’t stop eating. Service was very attentive. Pace was on spot, we didn’t feel rushed or delayed in any way. Bottom line, next time we’re in Rome I’m definitely going back here.

We were so surprised to find such a bright and crisp interior hiding at the end of a dark and musty ally. Our table was in the center of the restaurant next to a window that had books on the sill. Each of us ordered two things so we could try a little bit of everything. Our favorite for the night was a small appetizer the reminded me of a crispy flower with a sumptuous filling. I could have ordered four. So good. Great service and ambiance.

Best Carbonara hands down I have ever experienced. The wine options were also on point. Thoroughly enjoyed the fish and pork mains. Worthy of an amazing dinner in Rome with loved ones. Unfortunately would have been the best rated experience however the basement sitting area was quite hot and not comfortable.

Five stars and more for the carbonara. Elegant ambience, great service, and wide list of wine. The rest of the menu is not at the level of carbonara, yet. When it will become, the restaurant will get some Michelin stars.

We loved this place so much we had to go back! The atmosphere was great. Well-lit and decorated. The service was the best we had for our entire trip. The food was phenomenal. They had these little lamb fille phyllo dough puffs that were AMAZING. We also had ravioli, cod fillet, and sausage linguini. If I find myself back in Rome, I will 100% be back.

Poldo e Gianna is a can’t-miss culinary delight. I had one of the best meals of my 2-week vacation here. All of the pasta was homemade and the sauces were perfectly flavored. We had the Amatriciana, Cacio e Pepe, and the Veal Ragu. For an appetizer, we had the smoked burrata with tomato confit. The service was fantastic. Reservations are a must. Don’t miss this delicious restaurant!!

This is our last meal of the 2 week Italy trip. We were ready to try something that's a little different and decided to follow the Michelin guide recommendation. Overall, the restaurant is very elegant and beautiful (5/5), service is friendly and attentive(5/5), and food is good overall but living up to the Michelin guide expectation (4/5) Appetizer: Lamb ragu pastry 5/5 This is definitely the best dish of the night, and probably top 3 dish of everything we've tried in Italy. It looked like a big fried siumai. The pasty was so light and crunchy and the lamb ragu was soft and juicy inside. The flavor, texture and creativeness was the next level from all the other dishes we ordered that night. We could easily had 2 more orders of these. Very highly recommended. Appetizer: Cod tempura 3/5 Worst dish of the meal. The cod was fresh but the batter ruined it. It was dry, not crunchy, and sticked to my teeth. I think they mixed some sort of rice flour to the batter. Anyways it didn't taste or look like tempura at all. The basil mayo was basic and couldn't help with the dryness of the dish either. The presentation was like some generic fish fillet you could get at a fast food restaurant. Main course: Pasta in tomato sauce and pork cheek 4.5/5 Everything is delicious about this dish. Main course: Slow cooked pork neck 3.5/5 Nice presentation but a disappointment. The pork tasted very much like a pork tenderloin than pork neck. A pork neck is usually a little fattier but the pieces we got were very lean, bland in flavor and almost dry. The pickled carrot and onion along with the pork were delicious though. The wine menu is extensive and the barolo we had was beautiful. I do appreciate the friendly of the owner/manager. We walked up to the restaurant the night before to make a last minute reservation, he was very friendly and even showed us the last table available (a small table next to the kitchen door) to make sure we were okay with it before booking it.
