"The Hammersmith & City line rattling overhead, Prairie Fire BBQ is a barbecue joint with a draft house attached. With a wide range of smoked meats available in sandwiches or on platters, it’s tempting to overlook the nachos. To do so would be a mistake — both chicken or pork are strong contenders for the best nachos in London. Perfect as a meal for one, or a shared starter for those heading to town on the meat platters." - Kate Walker

I got the signature burger and it was probably the best burger I’ve ever eaten - juicy, tender, balanced and savoury. The seasoned fries were also terrific; skinny French fries fried super crispy but still fluffy on the inside, kind of like a McDonald’s fry. My friend’s meat sampler was also delicious, but the accompanying coleslaw was pretty awful. Tasted like straight up vinegar and cabbage tossed together, and was left on the plate. We also got tater tots which I normally love, but weren’t fried properly so they were incredibly greasy and soft. It’s more like a bar that happens to have some high tables, rather than a restaurant. The whole place quite honestly smelt of weed - I wasn’t sure if I was imagining things, but it was super strong in the bathroom and I could smell it in the restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly, but other staff members looked like they’d rather not be there. To cap it all off, it’s really expensive for somewhere that’s kind of like a fast food / bar. Restaurant prices, bar styling. That said, the burger really WAS great so would still recommend if you’re in the area.

Nice smoked BBQ with a lot of craft beer. I had sample meat plate, smoked brisket was a bit dry for me, same as jalapeno pork sausage while pulled pork was juicier. BBQ sauce was so tasty. Seasoned fries was a highlight, crips and tasty… so good. Service was fast and attentive.

I popped in for the buffalo wings✨ I would say food was quite good particularly the buffalo wings. Wings were infused with the nicely-balanced buffalo sauce. Sweet potato fries were absolutely splendid. However, the portions were a tad on the smaller side. And it's worth noting that it's slightly overpriced compared to the portions.

Booked for a Friday lunchtime, restaurant was extremely quiet and was there just after midday. Arrived and the owner was in the entrance and gave us a warm welcome and was pleased when I mentioned I'd seen him on television recently, which had made me want to visit following the review. Staff were welcoming and during the meal I noted how upbeat they all were and working well as part of a team. There were two people in my dining group. Ordered the chicken wings to share, a chilli dog and chilli cheeseburger. Food arrived in good time and the owner came to explain the cooking process for the wings, and then to check in with us during the meal, which I felt was a very personal touch. Wings were excellent, food was very good. Would like to try other items on the menu on the next visit. Overall, an enjoyable experience and would visit again.

Hearty and authentic Kansas BBQ, good for sharing as large groups (4+) or satisfying urges for a meaty burger or bbq bun. The headline is: the food is great. The meat is tender, well seasoned and very tasty. There are a number of sharing platters available that suit groups, and include a choice of non-meat sides such as mac'n'cheese / tater tots / onion rings / sweet potato fries that are good filler and accompanied by delicious dipping sauces. I also enjoyed a Cow Town BBQ bun; tender brisket covered with rich cheese and lettuce. This was presented well and filling in its own right, but it tasted great and better than many burger offerings that I can find in London. The drinks choice is also great. There are 16 very varied and interesting craft beers / ciders on tap, and other drinks available on choice. (The Seacider Passion Fruit and Goodness Yes IPA are highly recommended). The decor is simple but well arranged for hosting groups, with the flexibility to move tables to accommodate for size. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing recommendations and advice, and the bartender / owner was a real gem, taking interest in our group and providing us with margheritas on the house to help lubricate our Friday night! I would note, this place isn't cheap. We spend c. £40 per head for sharing platters with sides, loaded fries, one burger for me, and 2 pints each. We were filled and very satisfied, for sure, but it's not somewhere for cheap and easy (FYI - burgers are ~£10 excluding sides or drinks, and 12.5% tip is included to bills as standard).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prairie Fire at The Wood Lane Arches, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant White City near Westfield London. We had to look for this a while but it was so worth it! The burgers were amazing but most importantly the Jalapeño Wontons were incredible! They’re definitely a must try and I’d go back just for this. We also ordered the signature cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger, and seasoned fries. The service time was surprisingly short and we also did not have to wait at all to find a table. The burgers were tasty and juicy. It’s not super cheap - but it’s worth it to go for if you’re fancying a good burger every once in a while!

Prairie Fire was a random restaurant choice, and unfortunately it wasn’t one that paid off. The nachos were pretty good and they had a nice kick to them, but best to avoid if you like nacho offerings with hot cheese. We also ordered tater tots on the side, which were terrible. The coating on it wasn’t agreeable with my stomach, left a bad after taste and may have given me food poisoning. The BBQ wings weren’t very flavourful. The price point was not great either and felt overpriced. The staff were nice, it’s just unfortunate the food wasn’t.
