Happened upon this place on a Sunday afternoon and thought we'd give it a try. My son and I were greeted on entering, handed a menu, and told to use the kiosk for a To Go order (pleasant, but not personable). I got the birria quesadilla, my son got the Juicy taco plate, and I got my husband the 7-layer chicken burrito. With the Fried Avocado starter and churros to finish, our total was $71! Never paid that much for Mexican food in my life... Jumping ahead in the story, we ate at home, and the food was outstanding! The consomme was saltier than I'd prefer, but it is what it is. The portions were very generous (none of us could finish our plates), so I'd say what ended up to be 4 meals and 3 cases of The Itis for that price was fair.
Where they lost stars for me was the music in the restaurant. If it was a Friday or Saturday night and the club scene was popping, it would be more understandable, but for a lazy, Sunday afternoon with no other customers in the joint, the music was excessively raunchy. Vulgar, really. I was put off by it alone, but to be there with my child was worse! I would never expect to hear about a woman's private parts and sexual escapades while sitting in a restaurant! And the F- and N-words were flowing like water. IMO, it was extremely inappropriate for a public-facing business.
I'd order from there again, but only pickup.
