Where to Eat Right Now in Murfreesboro | Eater Nashville

"Chef Jason Matheson’s place in Murfreesboro is well-received by the community and checks the boxes in terms of filling out the city with more chef-driven, non-chain eateries. Chow down on deep-fried deviled eggs with lobster filling, cornbread panzanella, and Duroc pork chop with Amish apple butter at this Murfreesboro essential." - Eater Staff

This is some of the best food I have had in a while. I didn’t have reservations and they sat me right away, great diverse menu. I ordered an amazing peach salad, cobbler and calamari.

We celebrated our Anniversary recently at Primrose Table! It was an excellent choice for our evening! We are thankful to have nice options in our community! We love to be able to support local too! Our server was amazing! He was very attentive & kind. He explained their specials & allowed us to stretch our evening out some. Primrose has a variety of menu choices without being overwhelming. We tried an appetizer special. Delicious! Each of us ordered a side salad to start our dinner. Fresh greens & veggies with house made dressing was perfect! I tried the salmon entree. My husband ordered the beef filet. Both came with their special side dishes. Both were yummy! We enjoyed them very much! We paused a little bit before trying dessert. My oh my it was superb! Chocolate & more chocolate! Amazing! Primrose offer a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our years together! We will visit again!

Came in especially for the creme brulee, it did not disappoint! The salmon was delicious, as was the brown sugar espresso martini. Service & environment were great!

Let me start off by saying that this place is an unsung hero among the many restaurants we have in the Murfreesboro area. Our experience started off a bit shaky with the hostess not wanting to seat us because we were 10 minutes early for our reservation, but then Hank stepped in and saved the day with his award winning personality!! Then came the vittles…we began with the calamari and French onion soup. The calamari had hot cherry peppers added to it for some unbelievable tastiness! By the way, the calamari was perfectly cooked. Next, the French onion soup had so much flavor we wanted to bathe in it! And it wasn’t bogged down with bread like most other places. On to the main courses…my husband had the wood fired steak tips and the butternut squash risotto with charred broccolini-he said it was to die for! I enjoyed the ribeye with herb roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus…I recommend a med rare cook to bring out the flavor. What I love most about Primrose Table is that the husband (The Chef) and wife have made it their passion and are there serving people the tastes they love so much. I highly suggest this establishment. 5⭐️’s

Me and my wife ate here for our anniversary, and Hank made the experience very enjoyable. He was extremely personable, and he answered questions we didn’t even know we had. He explained the menu in great detail, to make sure we made informed decisions. He was VERY attentive, and kind! Then the food, was absolutely amazing! Compliments to the Chef, who is also the owner. Our food was cooked to perfection. We will be coming back.

Absolutely phenomenal. The new zealand lamb dish at Primrose Table in Murfreesboro, TN, is nothing short of a culinary triumph. From the first bite, it’s clear that this is not your average lamb entrée — it’s a masterclass in balance, flavor, and refinement. I’ve eaten at several Michelin restaurants around the world and the lamb comes in second which is impressive. The lamb was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, incredibly tender and rich with a depth of flavor that speaks to the quality of both the meat and the chef’s technique. But what truly elevated the entire dish was the mint sauce — easily the best I’ve ever.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible dining experience at Primrose Table. The atmosphere was perfect—cozy with a modern, rustic charm that made it feel both casual and special at the same time. We started with the Korean potato skins as an appetizer, and they were amazing! The flavors were bold and unique, a great twist on a classic. For our main courses, my husband had the pork chops, which were tender and cooked to perfection, while I had the chicken schnitzel—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. The drink menu is also top-notch. I had the In Full Bloom, and my husband tried the Uncle Nearest Sidecar—both drinks were expertly crafted and paired perfectly with our meals. The service was fantastic, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Primrose Table is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fresh, flavorful, and memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Had dinner at Primrose with my wife for our anniversary. Our waiter Hank was excellent, very attentive, knew the food and made the experience very enjoyable. The Korean BBQ potato skins were delicious although to my understanding there wasn't much Korean about them. My 1800 something steak was the perfect kind of rare, seared on the outside, nice and red inside without my plate being covered in blood. My wife's Mahe was a melt in your mouth kind of great! The one drawback is that the restaurant itself is nice however, in my opinion the quality of food they served, I would expect a more refined atmosphere. All and all a really great place and we will be back!
