"Located inside the eco-friendly “greenest hotel in America,” Print Works is the best of the city’s legacy fine dining options. The lavish, high-ceilinged space with flowing white curtains manages to avoid feeling stuffy, making it a favorite for anniversary dinners and graduation celebrations. The seasonal menu offers dishes like a seared scallop risotto with mushrooms, leeks, and goat cheese, but a more straightforward brunch menu is also worth the trip, especially on Print Works’ open-air patio." - Eric Ginsburg

Beautiful restaurant and incredible food. I didn’t try anything here I did not really enjoy. We started with the charcuterie board which had generous portions, and unique items compared to other boards I’ve tried in the past. Cocktails came out quick, and were excellent and well crafted. As for my main I ordered the salmon. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. In terms of service I was a little disappointed. We weren’t offered drink refills and were rarely checked on. Our server seemed annoyed and at one point we saw him discussing with another staff member frequently looking back and forth at us. We felt a little uncomfortable after that and it really soured our experience here. Come here for the drinks and food, but maybe not expecting great service.

I've lived in the Triad since 2011 and I'm upset at myself that today was the first time I've eaten at Print Works. We made reservations, so there was no wait for us. So much attention to details in the quality of the food. Our server was great. The atmosphere was very comfortable. The restaurant was pretty crowded and the music was at a comfortable level. My wife and I get stimuli overloaded so often in busy restaurants with loud music that we can't wait to just get out. That wasn't the case today, we both felt very comfortable.

As an out-of-state visitor I was looking for a nice place to sit down and enjoy a solo meal. I originally made reservations a couple days before my trip but after a long day of travel I ended up canceling. However, I decided to head that way anyway and see if they took walk ins and I am so glad they did. My server, Meghan, was incredible & the food was so tasty. The atmosphere was great and if I move here it’s definitely somewhere I’d take visitors to show off! My leftovers are sitting in my fridge taunting me right now.

Google
Nice atmosphere, lovely interiors and really good food. I was in town for work and grabbed a really late lunch so it was quiet. My meal was delicious, salmon salad and side of Brussels. It's 3 '$' signs on google, but I thought the prices were really reasonable for the quality. It would be a great place for a lunch date with girlfriends or date night with your partner.

My boss and I were in town for work and wanted to enjoy a nice meal. This place was recommended so we went. Our server was Ashland. She was very sweet, kind, and friendly. Our food was incredible! I didn’t get pics of everything (too busy eating it) but I ordered the artichoke appetizer (amazing!), chicken schnitzel that was paired with a salad. They did say they can modify any dish to be vegetarian if preferred. They also have a beautiful list of craft cocktails and a very substantial wine list. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Greensboro and prefer something besides the downtown Pub scene.

Printworks Bistro is a lovely place to go with family friends for special occasions. This was my birthday dinner which I celebrated with friends and my server brought profiteroles with a little candle for my dessert. The food is good and well presented. I was surprised, however, to get salad with no bread. They did bring the bread out about ten minutes later. The wine list is extensive if somewhat confusing. It would be helpful to get a list of wines by the glass rather than trying to figure out what is available and what is not. I gave the food 4 stars because about a fourth of my salad plate was wilted and looked old, The mashed potatoes on the steak au poivre chef's plate looked like they'd been under the warmer too long, and the steak had a huge chunk of fat. I would rather have had a smaller piece of steak and the fat trimmed before it was cooked. I had a cappuccino which was very good.Their coffee is excellent. Over all this was a good experience. It's a lovely venue and there were many tables of families and friends there. The staff is very professional and accommodating, and the service is great.

Christmas dinner. Kayleigh was our very attentive and wonderful host. The French onion soups and croquettes were delicious. Our guests and the schnitzel and beer - empty plates were sent back. Everything was Delicious. We will be back.

Google
What a great little gem in the Greensboro area! I was visiting a collage friend that what in the area, and we chose to meet there. This was my first visit, and I will definitely go back. We were there for breakfast, and the cinnamon roll will literally melt in your mouth. I had the avocado toast, he had the duck confit hash, and both were perfect! The staff is attentive and helpful, and the decor is stunning. Hands down one of the best restaurants in the area!

Yelp
Went out of town for a quick business trip, grabbed lunch after checking into the Proximity Hotel. I opted for the Spring Vegetable Napoleon and the creme filled beignets. The Napoleon was hands down one of the best dishes I have had in a while. The balsamic added the right amount of acid to cut the creaminess. I was tempted to lick the plate when finished. The beignets were very good. You could have chocolate or honey on them, or both. I opted for both, but ended up only taking the honey in my to-go box. The chocolate to me was too heavy. Would recommend them as either a starter or dessert. Great atmosphere and beautiful setting. The servers were all very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
We went to print works on a Friday afternoon and had no wait. We started with the asparagus and leek flatbread, overall recommend, the middle was flighty soggy thought with little support to it so VERY flat flatbread. For entrees we ordered the avocado toast from the breakfast menu and the smoked duck sandwich from the lunch menu. The avocado toast was good, the toast was a bit too thick of a cut for our preference. It came with a bowl of fruit which was a nice addition. The smoked duck sandwich was good, I wish the duck jus was a bit more salted to counter the sweetness of the caramelized onion. The sandwich was a little small for the price but came with a mountain of fries. Our waiter was very nice and attentive so overall 4/5

Yelp
First, ambiance. This place is absolutely lovely as you first walk in. 5 stars. Service was impressive. Again, attentive and thoughtful service, 5 stars Food- my food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salmon which was fantastic. All the sides were yummy. Appetizer dishes also quite good. 5 stars. We will be back!

Yelp
Still delicious!!! We stopped in on our date day/night and per usual, the service and the food were excellent. I really love the ambiance here and the aesthetic of it all makes you feel very special when you're here! I have ordered almost everything on the menu (which changes with the seasons) but on this visit, we ordered ALL of the appetizers and they were delectable. I am such a fan of the Brussels sprouts and o also really enjoy the truffle fries with the saffron dipping sauce. This restaurant is always a win!

Daniel J.

Yelp
Very elegant restaurant. I came for the brunch and it did not disappoint. Staff was very respectful and it was a great dining experience. Food was great and top notch dishes being cooked. I haven't come for the dinners, but I'm excited to try it out. If you have behaved kids, you won't feel out-of-place and there's something for them to eat from the "a la carte" menu. This was a daddy daughter brunch. She's 9 and did fine. Overall, a great experience.

Yelp
This place is great! The vibe, the interiors, it's all on point. I find it funny that their drinks menu is much longer than their food menu, but still, their menu is great. I ordered the French toast, while my friends ordered the avocado toast and a dish with lentils. The French toasts were soft and nicely seasoned. I liked that they didn't taste egg-y. I really enjoyed it. Even my friends both loved their respective dishes. This was my second time here, and I've enjoyed both times. It's a really nice spot for brunches.

Yelp
Nestled on the back of the Proximity Hotel, this employee-owned restaurant prioritizes high quality, locally sourced ingredients and has a wonderfully charming atmosphere. The outdoor seating looks very cute, although it was unfortunately raining the night I went and I didn't get to enjoy it. Inside seating is ample, comfortable, and with a nice upscale feel using dim lighting and minimalist decor. We made reservations online a few days in advance (very easy) and were seated promptly on arrival. All of the staff we interacted with were professional, friendly, and seemed passionate about their craft. One of them told us he had been there for 17 years, and I'm convinced that man knew every single line of the very extensive wine list. We ordered a few cocktails, and they were all handsomely presented and tasted great. I indulged in the French onion soup and honestly could have just made a meal out of bowl after bowl of that! It was fantastic. The bread they served before the meal was warm, soft, and delicious. That said, the garlic-tasting spread they included wasn't my favorite but butter is always fair game. Entrees were the Beef Bourguignon (a hefty serving and fantastic taste!) and the braised duck breast. Food was all around fantastic! As for desserts, the cake was decent but dry and not my favorite. The Profiteroles were delicious and I would order those again. Overall, a bit pricey for a meal, but I went here expecting that and desiring an upscale date night. We got exactly what we expected, with great ambiance, great food, and great service!

Yelp
Dine in | Brunch $10-20 This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! Service was excellent along with the food served. We visited for Sunday brunch and they were very busy! I highly recommend setting reservations. The grilled salmon was phenomenal in my opinion, seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was severed over mashed potatoes that were so delicious. For the appetizers we ordered the truffle fries and cinnamon buns-- yum, yum, yum. Those appetizers were huge and reasonably priced, truthfully the entire menu. My expectations were exceeded and I cannot wait to visit during the warmer days for outside dinning. Food: 5| Service: 5| Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Housemade Cinnamon Buns, Truffle Fries Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking: Located behind the Proximity Hotel.

Yelp
I've been here so many times it's hard to count but this place is an absolute gem in Greensboro! The food is delicious, the flavors are well thought out and crafted perfectly. I love their brunch and usually would go for their avocado toast or their French toast but decided to go for lunch this time. I substituted the shrimp risotto for salmon risotto and it was awesome. The curry butter they added on the side was so good, and added a lot of extra flavor to the dish. I also really enjoyed this flaky thin crust short rib flatbread that was an awesome starter. My friend got the burger which she really enjoyed but that saffron sauce they added with the fries was repulsive (they should have gone with a garlic aioli. The service is good, the ambiance is classy and nice, print works is a class act!

Chris T.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service. The risotto I ordered had a great underlying lemon taste. And the chocolate cake was surprisingly gluten free, which was delicious. Still one of our favorite places in Greensboro!

Yelp
I love April. It's Spring, not too hot, birds are twitterpated, it's my birthday month but best of all...new menu at the BEST restaurant in the Triad. What is not to love? We made reservations for an early seating as we didn't want to freeze or get wet, but wanted to eat outside...like you should do at a French Bistro! I was the first there so I got a glass of wine at the bar. I didn't get the bartenders name, wish I had, because he was marvelous. He had a fantastic set of moustaches to be proud of and was friendly but not overly so. My dinner guest finally got to the restaurant and so we were seated. We were graced to be in Lauren's area. A SUPER friendly server who made some choice suggestions. I had been looking forward to the Spring vegetable Napoleon so I got that and onion soup while my mom got the beef bourguignon and onion soup. Turns out, I ordered correctly! The soup was extra cheesy and not too salty. The main event though was the Napoleon. Oh. My. Gawd. They need to keep this on the menu all the time and I would happily eat here every other day (I say every other because it's a big dish and enough for two dinners). Seriously. This may be the very best menu item they have ever had. My taste buds were having a very happy moment. My mom obviously told them it was my special day because Lauren came out with vanilla ice cream profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce. I had been replete with my dinner but made room for one of the sweets. Sigh. There is nothing that can't be made better with chocolate! I wish I were a wealthy person as I would live at the hotel so I could eat here every day. A girl can dream right?

Ashlee J.

Yelp
I had an absolutely wonderful brunch at Print Works Bistro. Karin is an absolute gem and we wanted for nothing the entire time we were there, wonderful service! I started with an iced coffee and ordered the crème filled beignets. All I needed was that warm chocolate sauce to dip them in, everything was fresh and decadent. The food came and everything looked and tasted wonderful. The blue crab omelet was cheesy, buttery and cooked just right. The green onions didn't add much dimension and may have done better in the omelet instead of a topping. The bistro potatoes were the perfect side to this breakfast. The Main Squeeze cocktail was a great addition to my brunch, it was very balanced, which can be hard to do with tequila. If I had not been so full and happy, I would've ordered another! I look forward to returning to try another brunch or dinner dish.

Garrison F.

Yelp
Delicious tomato Basil soup and Sauvignon Blanc. The server was nice. Beautiful ambiance. There is a garden on the terrace so I'd like to sit there next time. My friends got the creme brulee for dessert and said that it was phenomenal but there was only one left. We came late in the evening. This is a nice spot for a later dinner.

Yelp
Our go to restaurant for date nights! Where do I start? It's elegant and very beautiful, to start with! We always make it a point to make reservations to be on the safe side, especially for dinner. On this particular night, my husband, me and 2 of our married couple friends came in for dinner. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we entered. The hostess lead us to our table where our friends were already seated and waiting for us. I ordered and had 2 glasses of Chardonnay. The complimentary bread's so delicious! It came with soft spreadable butter and roasted garlic. We ended up eating 3 orders! Lol I had chicken schnitzel. We previously lived in Germany so I regard myself as a schnitzel snob! Lol Their schnitzel's delish! The breading's flavorful and crispy, just the way I like it. Everyone's full and satisfied with their meals. But, hey, there's always room for dessert. We had 2 orders of profiteroles to share. An icing on the cake!! So, to sum it all up.... Great ambiance, awesome service and delicious food! What more can you ask for? 5 stars always! Can't wait to go there again!

Yelp
My husband and I made reservations for Sunday bruch here at Print Works, although per my 19 year old daughter, since we went at 9:00 it qualified as "breakfast" and not brunch! Regardless, we were excited about going! It was a very rainy gloomy day, and there weren't many people there when we arrived. All I know is this: their Sunday brunch is pretty popular, so I would recommend reservations. People started rolling in as we were finishing up, so I would also guess that my daughter is right....most people don't have brunch at 9! This restaurant is a part of the Proximity Hotel. Both the hotel and the restaurant are just absolutely gorgeous. It's a very classy atmosphere. Some people are dressed nicer than others, but I wore nice jeans and a sweater and didn't feel out of place. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area that would be really nice any time other than winter. We ordered coffee and the Tuna Tartare for starters. The coffee was hot and had a really good taste. I think I had 4 cups! The Tuna Tartare is one of our favorites here, and it did not disappoint. It is served with crostinis and sweet potato chips; both were very good textural elements with the tuna. For our entrees, I had the smoked salmon benedict and my husband had the Lorraine omelet. Both were phenomenal. Every now and then I will order an eggs benedict and have to send it back due to the eggs being overdone. These were perfectly poached and that delicious yolk poured out when I cut into it. It was the first time either of us had tried the Lorraine omelet there, and the hubs reported that it was super good and he would order it again. The only thing he wasn't a fan of was whatever herb/seasoning was used on the bistro potatoes that came with his omelet. He felt like it was overpowering. Niya was our server and she did a really good job of checking in with us without being overbearing. All of the staff that we encountered (from the host stand to our server) were extremely professional. Overall our experience was very good. Print Works is just a great place to have any meal (this was not our first rodeo) and makes an excellent special occasion destination as well. I highly recommend.

Maryann C.

Yelp
This review is almost a year late, but better late than never! My boyfriend surprised me with reservation for my birthday, and Print Works had been on my list after recently moving to GSO. The starter bread with roasted garlic spread was SOO good ... I have to figure out how to make this for myself one day. I was excited to have seconds! We also order the duck confit flatbread, which was just as good. For our entrees, we got the steak burgingeon as well as the shrimp and scallop risotto. I'm not sure if these are still on the menu or if they've switched them out, but both were also super tasty although if I could change one thing it'd be fewer peas in the steak burgingeon dish. By the time we were heading out, there was also live music playing and I wish we stayed a bit longer to enjoy it! No complaints about the service. Overall, a great place to celebrate an occasion - no wonder it's highly recommended by everyone!

Abrianna R.

Yelp
Came here on a weeknight for dinner and it was so much fun! The restaurant is located adjacent to a hotel, so don't be confused when you first drive in. The restaurant has a ton of very cute outdoor seating, however because it was chilly that night we opted to sit inside. I do want to come back in the summer though so I can enjoy that patio!! The service was great, and we ended up ordering the steak frites and filet mignon which we both enjoyed. Paired with a glass of wine, and more excitingly, live music! There were a decent amount of people dancing on the other half of the restaurant near the bar while some musicians played beautiful version of cover songs which was so pleasant and enjoyable while we were eating our meal. Can't wait to come back!

Brandon C.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! One of our favorite spots, menu changed since the last time we were here, but couldn't be more satisfied. Kid had burgers which they both (2&6) at all of. Which for my 6 year old is saying alot I got the short ribs and they were amazing. The mashed potato cake was the highlight, I didn't get to eat alot because my two year old was obsessed. We will deff be back

Yelp
Ah, the chicken schnitzel at Printworks, a dish that ventured boldly into the realm of gastronomic dismay amidst the veneer of elegance. One anticipated a culinary journey akin to a refined sonnet, yet alas, it unfolded as a discordant stanza of disappointment. The breaded cutlet, ostensibly a homage to tender indulgence, arrived bereft of succulence and flavor--a mere shadow of its promised delight. Its golden exterior, ostensibly a testament to crisp perfection, crumbled under the weight of overcooking, leaving a taste reminiscent of culinary neglect rather than careful craftsmanship. Accompaniments, touted as harmonious partners in this culinary symphony, faltered in their supporting roles. The side of greens, wilted and uninspired, languished alongside a mound of lackluster mashed potatoes that whispered of days spent under a heat lamp. In the annals of epicurean critique, this rendition of chicken schnitzel at Printworks stands as a testament to the unfortunate marriage of pretense and mediocrity. For those who seek a culinary experience that transcends mere sustenance, one would be wise to seek nourishment elsewhere, lest they too find themselves pondering the melancholy of a dish that failed to soar beyond the mundane.

Noelle M.

Yelp
One of the nicer restaurants in Greensboro with an excellent wine selection, seasonal menu, and shaded outdoor patio. Recommend a reservation as it's always very busy. I've never had a bad meal here - ranging from pretty good to excellent. They have an affordable lunch and brunch menu with smaller portions, and a more expensive dinner menu. Also one of the few locally owned restaurants open on Sundays for dinner!

Tricia B.

Yelp
STILL my favorite restaurant in Greensboro. My friend treated me to an early birthday dinner today. Their daily special on Sundays is a turkey dinner. It was outstanding. The turkey was delectable, and I've never had green beans so tasty and tender (except when I make them at home). The mashed potatoes were a little on the salty side but I didn't care really. The dressing was interesting in that the pieces of bread were really chunky. A nice difference. The flavor was on point. I loved all of it, and I was so grateful for the attentive service by Jake. He is so handsome and warm and welcoming. When he delivered my surprise birthday dessert (profiteroles), I said to him "get out of here!" He responded by saying "my shift's not over yet" (LOL) I love this restaurant.

Kelsey R.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous date night here & I have also joined a few girlfriends for a birthday dinner here as well and both times were amazing! Print Works is quite the drive for us but so worth it. The steaks were perfect that we got. My filet was perfectly medium rare. When visiting with my girlfriends, I got the shaved brussel sprouts salad which was so interesting and delicious. However the desserts were what were the most memorable for me! The beignets were to die for!! I could go there and just get three dishes of those. The ambiance and service here are definitely high end. I dressed nicely for both occasions and loved the classier feel of the restaurant. The service both times were exemplary. Can't wait to go again for another special occasion!

Janis A.

Yelp
Where do two friends go to celebrate a birthday?? Without a doubt Print Works Bistro! This restaurant makes any occasion feel special. It was a beautiful day so we ate out on their beautiful patio. Somehow you feel you are transported to France. The wait staff is tremendous and bend over backwards to make you facilitate your every need. Today we treated our selves to Lobster Louie! Scrumptious lobster claw on Bibb lettuce with hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, crispy shallots and avocado in a lemon dill vinaigrette! Holy smokes! It was divine. We had great food, even better conversation and then celebrated even further with Print Works Bistro's famous profiteroles! Yowers! So great! Just perfect!

Melanie W.

Yelp
Ah perfection! We had a reservation for our anniversary. We arrived on time and were promptly seated at a cozy table. This place just is so beautiful and romantic. Such a great place for a special occasion! We ordered some of their seasonal drinks. The Harvest Mule was delightful! We ordered the seasonal, shrimp dip appetizer. It was a generous, rich portion of dip with crostini and sweet potato chips. Very flavorful dip. I actually would have loved it as a hearty chowder with a side salad. Sign me up if that ever happens! I ordered the beef stroganoff and my hubby ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto. Our entrees arrived perfectly timed. I dug into mine and it was on the cold side. Our amazing server quickly handled the situation and I had a fresh plate out in seconds. I am a former server so I never get ruffled or irate when things like this happens because it does happen. How it is handled is what matters and it was handled perfectly. Kudos to our server and Caleb, the manager, for doing just that. Both our entrees were delicious and so dang good. We sampled each others and really couldn't pick a favorite. We had complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was the end to a perfect meal and a surprise! That end of dinner coffee was good too. Thank you for making our night so special! We will be back!

Bria R.

Yelp
Yummmy! I enjoyed this restaurant! The place is beautiful, the service was fast and helpful, and as you can see the food and drinks were as good as they looked.

Ana H.

Yelp
Just had the most incredible dining experience at Print Works Bistro! From the mouthwatering appetizers to the delectable entrees, every bite was pure culinary bliss. The service was top-notch too! And don't get me started on the stunning ambiance, it's like stepping into a whole new world. Highly recommend What we had? - Calamari - Ground Duck Meat Balls - Shrimp Risotto - Piperade Omelet - Cheeseburger P.S. If the weather is nice, like it was in our case, sit outside, it's beautiful

Jenny M.

Yelp
We made reservations for a Friday night for a date night. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were happy to wait until our reservation time but were seated early. For an appetizer, we opted for the duck meatballs. The dish sounded interesting! It comes with a chili glaze. I checked with the waitress about the spice level and she let me know it wasn't too spicy. I would agree-I'm not a spice fan but it was perfect. I ordered the steak frites for my entree. The fries are the best! They are thin cut, cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The steak had an herb butter which was great. The steak was also cooked to a beautiful medium rare. It was a delicious meal. My husband ordered the Friday special--beef stroganoff. Normally beef stroganoff can be heavy but this was really well balanced--rich and savory but also herby. The beef was cooked perfectly and was very tender. This is the perfect location for a nice dinner out!

Beel K.

Yelp
We stayed at Proximity which was amazing and had brunch here the next day. It's such a pretty hotel and the bistro is also aesthetically pleasing. We were greeted and sat quickly but our food did take a little longer to get to us than it should have. The crispy brussel sprouts were great! The quiche was also amazing (add hot sauce if you want to take it up a notch). The salmon benedict was good but the English muffin was a little hard and the French toast was a little on the dry side. Overall a pretty spot and worth a go!

Jason J.

Yelp
i was here for work, staying at the Proximity hotel. touched down, set my room and needed some food for the evening. while it's the only dinner option on the property, it did not disappoint. great selection of NC breweries and regional dishes. Sierra was a great server as vast in the bar area enjoying my food and drink.

Melanie S.

Yelp
I dined at Print Works Bistro the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. My local colleague picked this place and made our reservations. She RAVES about this establishment, also the hotel/property as well. I had the Quiche, two Elder Wand cocktails and we shared the Brown Sugar Cheesecake. I selected this cocktail because the St Germaine and it was a nice mix. My entire meal was delicious and I wish I had taken photos of the food/plating. Such a gorgeous view in their patio with fantastic service and a great meal to accompany us. I'd definitely recommend!

Renee S.

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would! The food was simply phenomenal....every.single.bite. I ordered the grilled salmon which was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were mouthwateringly AWESOME! My 2 friends each ordered grilled trout and Amberjack. Both of them said they were delicious. I rarely order dessert but I decided to get beignets and they were luscious served with sides of chocolate sauce and honey. My friend ordered profiteroles and loved them. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the service was top notch. It is a little noisy as the tables are close together. All in all it was a superb experience and I cannot wait to go back.

Andrew J.

Yelp
This fine dining restaurant is located within a hotel and the vibe is very fancy. Dress code is recommended to be smart casual. TLDR: get the truffle fries for appetizer, venison chops for main entree, and enjoy the amazing free bread. Avoid the amberjack unless you like sour vegetables with slightly overcooked fish. Started off Free bread with butter and roasted garlic which was amazing. Definitely a highlight of the meal. We got the following: Truffle Fries: strongly recommend! The fries were a tad salty and the truffle oil was not well distributed but the saffron mayo was excellent! All the right stuff, just needs a bit more care in terms of seasoning. Mussels appetizer: meh? The mussels were ok except for one that did not open (and later found out was empty). It's some white wine and mussels so it's a bit too sweet and sour for me but if that's your thing, go for it! Wish it had some garlic in the sauce. The toasted bread was probably the best part of this dish. The fries were a soggy mess by the time it got to our table which makes sense since they sit the fries in the mussel juice Chef selection Amberjack: pretty terrible all things considered. The fish was bland and slightly overcooked. This was in contrast with the excessively sour "grilled" vegetables as I think they just dumped a bunch of vinaigrette on top of the vegetables... would not get again... maybe the chef really likes sour food? Venison chops: this was another highlight! Venison was cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a soft bite. Ratatouille was nice and soft with a wonderful mix of flavors with the variety of vegetables. The mashed potato was nice and creamy with no notable chunks. Definitely would recommmend trying. Crème filled warm "beignets": I did not put those quotes for this dessert, the menu has them and I should have paid attention! I imagined a lovely fluffy donut with a light cream that I could dip in the honey/chocolate they offer as dips... I was wrong... it is more of a doughy donut with pudding jammed inside and drowned in confectioners sugar. The chocolate and honey dips were nice though. While I understand the point of not adding a crazy long description... this one could have been more specific about what "beignet" means. All in all: definitely had a few highlights but also had some major misses at least for us. Usually is ok at most restaurants, but at the moderately hefty price tags they are offering associated with a fine dining experience, the misses are just a tad more devastating.

Wanda M.

Yelp
Made reservations through open table for 1:00 pm lunch, good thing as it was packed! Also, was pleasantly surprised that they serve Brunch food everyday! My husband had the Shrimp and Grits and I had the French toast, both done perfectly! Was given 3 pieces of bacon, which were so crispy! The atmosphere looks pretty formal, but you really could wear anything! And prices are really comparable to any other small restaurant/bar for lunch! Server was very attentive as well! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I go here often for brunch. The last time I went, it was a little cooler weather, but I was dining alone with a book and wanted to be outside. Even though I was the only one on the patio, I was never forgotten, several staff members checked on me and ensured I was comfy and taken care of!

Yelp
What can I say about this beautiful, elegant place that hasn't been said? The restaurant is nothing like you'd expect to be attached to a hotel. It's gorgeously decorated and has an intimate feel. My dining companion has been here a lot though it was my first time. She had so many recommendations of the menu items it was hard to pick, but I went with the salmon and it was delicious. The bread they bring you with roasted garlic and salted butter is every bread lovers dream. Our server was lovely and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Print Works was straight FIRE. The restaurant itself was tucked away behind a cute hotel, and it was a total vibe. I loved the feel of the restaurant- it had a southern elegance to it, like a place you want to get high tea. The servers fit the ambiance- they were chill but super nice and attentive. I got the French toast and it was dellliciouss! It was soo soft on the inside and literally melted in my mouth. The bacon and eggs were solid but the french toast stole the show. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
We made reservations for dinner last night, and we had a phenomenal experience. The service was top notch and she was very attentive. I had the soup of the day, one of the specials (mahi for my entree) and he had the chicken. We also had a bottle of white wine, and the ambiance was perfect for our evening together. The caramel crème brûlée was beyond delicious! We will be back

Yelp
10/10! The service, food and ambiance are A1! I came for my birthday brunch and had a great time with my family. My smoked salmon Benedict was delicious and my birthday treat was nice as well. The only thing missing was salt hence the four stars. This was my first time here but certainly not my last.

Yelp
I had other plans for dinner in Greensboro, but those didn't work out. Disappointed as I was, I then realized the circumstances gave me cause to visit Print Works Bistro for dinner. Finally I'd get to see if other meals are as good as brunch. I've related the comfortable nature of this venue before. I can't think of another place in the region where I'd feel equally welcome in either formal wear or an untucked button-up and shorts. This come-as-you-are comfort still exists after sundown, I am pleased to report. I was shocked, however, to find that seating was available immediately. Maybe weekend brunch is their busiest period! The professionalism of the staff also remains a consistently strong aspect of a PWB visit. I feel appreciated as a customer, never rushed, and always served with a smile and a genuine interest in my content. And the food is still delicious. Tuna tartare made for a lively, fresh-tasting way to begin my meal. My lamb chops were cooked just as I requested, and the accompanying potatoes au gratin were a particular highlight. You need not wait for brunch to get a good meal at Print Works, it seems. The quality of the experience extends throughout the day. Five stars yet again.

Yelp
More formal style atmosphere, with spacious accomodations, including a beautiful outside garden area. Breakfast/Brunch & Dinner. Large bar & dining areas for singles, couples or groups. Bottle beers, mixed & soft drinks, plus large wine selections. For dinner, I had the scollop & shrimp risotto & my wife had the grilled salmon with french style green beans. A bottle of Pinot Grigio added to the delicious food. We shared the Orange Creme Timbale with two black coffees. Attentive & Friendly Staff. Casual or more formal attire. On a nice weather day, the outside garden area is special. For dinner or prime times, I recommend you make a reservation. Entrance & parking are located on the back side of the Proximity Hotel. For Breakfast/Brunch, I recommend either the Benedict or Avocado Toast. Enjoy! Mustang USMC Retired

Yelp
The food and service here is always exceptional. While the price may make people hesitant the food will keep you coming back time and time again. Everything from the bread service to the desserts are top notch. This has become our staple special occasion dining experience. Not once have we had anything less than sublime. You can tell the standards set for the food and service are consistent and always expected at the highest level. One of the best filets I've ever had. I could not recommend this restaurant any more highly. The best restaurant in this area. 10/10

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night while visiting family in Greensboro, NC. We were seated promptly. We were not informed that our server was in training but that became obvious quickly. The senior server promptly stepped in and we had no further issues. We ordered the calamari for our appetizer and it would have been helpful to have a little more description on the menu (not just "lemon rouille, cocktail sauce"), as it is not like most calamari appetizers - about 6 strips instead of the usual rings/tentacles on a bed greens. They are not crispy. The sauce was good though. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly as requested (medium rare), tender and delicious. The salmon was likewise cooked perfectly as requested (medium). We had no issues substituting sides and I appreciated it. Price is reasonable. Ambiance - fine dining - elegant/sophisticated atmosphere; Nice decor; background music not too loud; a bit dim and slightly difficult to read the menu despite the candle on the table. It was packed despite being a Monday night - Definitely need to make reservations. Located in the Proximity Hotel - Lots of parking.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, extraordinary service, great food. Had both dinner and breakfast there, all grub doggie dog. I would go back here in an instant if I lived here. I am not one to give out 5 stars, so, you know this place is the bomb. Ya feel me?

Yelp
Stayed at the Proximity for a quick Valentine's Staycation ! Lucky enough to do dinner and breakfast at Print-works! We had Shrimp and Scallops Risotto and my partner had the Filet! Everything was so well prepared. Our waitress was phenomenal. The lighting was perfect for a romantic dinner date! This morning we had Cinnamon Rolls, French Toast and the Bacon Omelet! Once again everything was delicious and the bar service was wonderful as well! I cannot wait to return for dinner and couldn't recommend it more.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic dinner at Print Works Bistro. The food, the service, the ambiance is top notch. This is the perfect place to bring your business meeting to, or just have a romantic dinner with your love ones or just come over and hang out with friends. Greensboro, we are happy to call you home

Yelp
Recently met some friends here for brunch. The garden seating was gorgeous and comfortable, even on a sweltering hot summer day. I ordered an appetizer for the table while waiting for my friends to arrive - the oven roasted brussel sprouts were so delicious and enough for the 3 of us to enjoy. On my friend's recommendation, I ordered the Avocado Toast with poached egg, yogurt and fruit. The egg was cooked perfectly but I didn't care for the avocado spread - it was too tart - either underripe and over-lemoned and I did not feel it went well with the challah toast. I wished I had ordered the quiche - next time! The yogurt with fresh fruit and honey was heavenly! Our waiter brought us a finale of profiteroles as he recognized we were celebrating 2 birthdays in our group- so considerate! Overall, it was a lovely experience and morning! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've dined at Print Works for many years now and am impressed that I have had a good dining experience more than the majority of times I've come here. Very nice ambiance, connected to Proximity hotel (which is pretty nice itself). The food is great for the most part and has dinner, breakfast/brunch, and lunch menus. Extensive cocktails as well. I appreciate the seasonal menus they have that coincide with seasons/occasions that are readily available. I will say their breakfast/brunch had been much better than their dinners (dinners are still good but some things I didn't like). I almost always get their Eggs Benedict and the poached eggs have been cooked perfectly 100% of the times. Indoor and plenty of outdoor seating available. Great for date nights. Service has always been great many accommodating. Recommend.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice in the past 5 days. Once for breakfast/brunch. We sat at the bar, ordered a great cocktail. I had French onion soup and a cinnamon roll. (Weird combo, right?) I can't pass up French onion soup. The soup was delicious, the roll was just ok. Presentation was amazing. It looked so decadent and delicious. It was yummy, but dense, and thick for a cinnamon roll. Tonight we had dinner. My husband had lamb chops, and I had shrimp and scallop risotto. We enjoyed both meals, and the portions were large. Saved the best for last. The dessert menu was so hard to choose just one. Profiteroles! Affogato!! Chocolate mint crème brûlée! We tried all of them. Perfect ending- sweet dreams, literally!!

Yelp
I have always loved this restaurant in Greensboro NC except for one thing. They don't have beer on draft. I have learned to deal with that so it doesn't keep me from enjoying the wonderful food. A week or two ago I went with 6 other women for lunch. Several of us were glad to see breakfast items on the menu. I decided to get breakfast - so no beer. I ordered a Mimosa. I was extremely disappointed when I was brought an empty glass. A small carafe of orange juice and a can of bubbly wine. The can wasn't even open. For the price point and up scale atmosphere of Printworks, I thought this was a poor presentation. This will not keep me from eating at Printworks, but I sure won't order a Mimosa there again.

Yelp
I recently attended a holiday leadership outing at Print Works Bistro, and it was an outstanding experience. The delicious food, coupled with the beautiful and intimate ambiance, made it a memorable evening. Our server was attentive, was very helpful in accommodating dietary restrictions, and ensured we enjoyed a leisurely meal without feeling rushed. I can't wait to return for a date night with my husband. Highly recommend!
