Amazing tacos!!! Must try, I’ve had so many tacos for the past few years because I love Mexican food, I must say this is has just thrown my whole list away. Rich, savory, smoky, spicy and tangy - all the flavours you’re looking for 😍😍😍. The people/owners are so sweet and welcoming, atmosphere is so lively as we came on Saturday which they have mariachi band from 2-3PM!! Portion size is great for the price, it’s so filling! I need the birria consume recipe it’s amazing. I recommend Quesabirrias, birria and chicken tinga tacos.

Best tacos I’ve had in London! Super tasty meat, great choice and very generous portions. The tortillas are made with gluten free blue corn, freshly made for your order. Perfection! Pozole was also excellent and a meal in itself. The service was so nice and friendly! Can’t wait to come back

We’re sitting here right now and in the middle of eating we have to leave a review!!!! The staff were soooo lovely and warm! So much kind energy coming from the kitchen and the way they interacted with us explaining the different ingredients. We’re Muslim and they have halal options too 😭😭😭😭 can’t rave enough about how good the food and atmosphere is here and are already planning on coming back soon!!!

Best tacos in London. I try to come here at least once every 2-3 months. Small taqueria with an expanded menu, food plucked straight out of Mexico. Staff are always incredible despite how busy they are. Operating in a small, crowded spot they always make the experience personal and are passionate in sharing their food and culture. Simply brilliant

I believe that the food here cured me! it made me sooo happy. fresh ingredients, great flavours, and amazing service. Loved Juan & Liz’s hospitality so much. the dishes were amazing and the portion sizes were good. the food is so good that here i am thinking about it a day later and missing it. i’m going back soon and taking others with me for more.

Absolutely incredible. The food was truly sensational and about as close to eating in Mexico as you can get in London. Every dish had its own vivid personality and depth of flavour. I actually started taking photos of everything, but after the third dish I put my phone away and just enjoyed the moment. The team’s warmth made the experience even better; Jose and Juan were especially friendly and incredibly helpful with recommendations. I ended up eating and drinking for nearly two hours, completely losing track of time. It felt like being on holiday rather than a regular Thursday afternoon. I’ve been wanting to try Proper Tacos for ages, and now that I finally have, it’s absolutely going to become one of my regular spots.

Delicious tacos in Nags Head market - we came here for their Taco Tuesday deal (12pm-8pm) for £3 a taco, a steal! Our favourites were the spicy pork and chicken tinga, flavourful and juicy. The beef suadero was ok but a bit dry. Lovely service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic, authentic and high quality food. (Pun) Proper Mexican cuisine ! Everyone is very friendly. I asked for a 3 tacos platter “con todo” with everything and also mentioned I like PICANTE. And so it was delivered. The salsa macha was also delicious. I love Mexican cuisine but unfortunately you cannot find good spots in London or south of England. From a fellow Latin American: Gracias por todo!
