I hesitate to write a review for fear of a gem being overrun by Americans, but for foodies here we go.
Opened just a couple of months ago by 3 skilled friends, this restaurant, while unassuming and friendly, competes with serious Michelin restaurants with resource and charges far beyond what this threesome has to work with. But rarely have I seen such a love of food and local products shine so brightly.
They serve a fixed menu with no other choices for now- but who cares. Their attention to detail and sensibility for combining the best local Swedish product with a hint of Asian influence is so appreciated.
With each bite I shook my head in wonder. I mean I really loved everything about this experience. From the fact that much of their working environment was sourced second hand, to their sharing all chores in running the space, to their humble presentation of the food- this is a restaurant that just frankly surprises.
I truly hold them in the same regard as Agrikultur and Marv & Ben in Sweden. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Please remember they are 3 men running a restaurant with heart. They aren't a pretentious elevated experience. They have eclectic tastes in music, wear jeans and white T-shirt's to serve, and run back and forth carrying the load of every job in the restaurant.
It just doesn't matter. If I lived here I would eat here every week. Please don't pollute the reviews with unrealistic expectations that negate the commitment to the food.
I am in love. Thanks for the experience.
