"If you want to annoy your fellow commuters as much as possible, The Grand Central dining concourse sells a variety of things you can eat on your train ride home. But if you have time to sit down for something quick, Prova Pizzabar is worth knowing about. In addition to a takeout pizza counter, it also has a little table-service area off to the side where you can eat a massive $14 square pie in peace. It’s not the best pizza you’ll ever eat, but it is the best pizza you’ll ever eat while sitting in a semi-private space in Grand Central. There’s also a bar where people drift in every 10 minutes or so asking for triple whiskeys." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren

This place was phenomenal!! The dough was thick and fluffy but also crunchy & perfect. Ordered a meatball pizza and it was tremendous! We were only in New York for a few days, but ate at this place twice as it was so good. Pricing was pretty good, I ordered a “personal” which was 4 slices of the same pizza which ended up being a lot cheaper than buying 4 slices individually. Also had the garlic balls and they too were fantastic.

Great pizza! Super busy here! You can get take out beers here too. There was cool lights on the ceiling it was a neat atmosphere for the type of place that it is ! Pretty clean, also interesting that this place is owned by a celebrity chef.

Delicious pizza! Ordered Prova Pizzabar for lunch for the office, and I really enjoyed the white pie. Cheesy, melty goodness with a crispy crust. One slice is enough to fill you up! Will definitely be ordering from them again! 😋

My office got this pizza for lunch today and it was amazing! It’s all Sicilian - each pie has 8 squares with a thick, buttery crust. Here were my favorites: Margherita! Cheese, sauce, and basil. Simple but so good. Pepperoni! Not your traditional pepperoni, but thick, juicy slices of meat. Rustica! It had sausage, onions, and peppers. Probably my favorite of the bunch. White! Super garlicky with globs of ricotta. I don’t normally like white pies but this was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Decent NYC pizza . Pretty aesthetic . Nothing too crazy prices range 4.50 per slice . Has restrooms and right off 34th street if you’re in the area and need a quick bite !

if you’re around this area or you can’t find a place to go on a date I definitely recommend this pizzeria! They have really cute heart shaped pizzas, and taste was a 10 out of 10! Looking forward on going back. The environment and the aesthetics made the place even better.

When we got here it was empty... and we soon discovered why. $3.25 for a plain slice that tasted like and I would vacate the premise as well. The service was nice and kind but the food made me feel like I was chewing on tasteless material and swallowing. Great for after drinking if you need it and can't tell the difference 😉 but not good for an actual pizza craving.

Until today I was unaware of Prova Pizzabar, but have to say that they really raised the PIZZA BAR. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the cheese melted in my mouth. While I'm sure it's great any day of the week, I fully endorse kicking off your week with a Slice like this!
