Where Naomi Osaka Eats When She’s In Tokyo - Tokyo - The Infatuation

"Arguably the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s normally my meal whenever I’m in Tokyo. My go tos are the Bismarck and the Diavola." - brennan carley

Where To Eat When You’re Visiting Tokyo - Tokyo - The Infatuation

"If you go to Tokyo, you have to eat Neapolitan pizza. Over the past two decades, Japan has honed its pizza craft, earning a reputation as one of the best places to eat it in the world. The best spot in Tokyo is Pizza Studio Tamaki, which has been open since 2017, serving a mix of locals and visitors alike. With pies like five formaggi with fresh smoked mozzarella and mascarpone to innovative ones with spiced butter chicken, PST’s approach to pizza is uniquely Tokyo. Take their wood-burning oven, for example. It burns a blend of Japanese wood made of oak, cherry blossom, and beech, infusing a subtle taste to the brown bubbly crusts and gooey cheese. You’ll definitely need a reservation, but you can also get pies to go." - kiera wright ruiz

The 15 Best New Restaurants in Tokyo | Eater

"Tokyo’s pizzaiolos approach their work with the same intensity and precision as one would expect from a sushi master — none more so than Tsubasa Tamaki. He trained at the much-lauded Savoy but has developed his own distinctive style and oven technique that make his pies among the best in town. PST also has a substantial menu of appetizers and pastas, often incorporating spices and other subtropical ingredients from his native Okinawa." - Robbie Swinnerton

Google
Pizza was really easy to eat, just the right texture - light and not too doughy. Could easily eat a half size pizza by myself on a really hungry day. Mozerella was really fresh and creamy and would recommend adding some cold cuts to pair. Some pizza was a miss for me but it’s just my personal preference of the flavour that was not meant for me. Would go back and try other flavours. Get their recommended pizzas- I reckon that would never go wrong. My favourite was the first pic 👍🏻 My tip to avoid queuing - recommend to calling straight to the restaurant to make a reservation.

Google
I finally understand the reason why I kept seeing a long line of queue in front of PST every single night. Their pizzas are so good! I personally loved the 5 formaggi the most. Simple mixture of cheeses, drizzled with honey, and crusty thin pizza dough. Oh the flavor burst in your mouth was so heavenly good. A must try! Do prepare some time to wait if you have no reservation.

Google
Still one of the best pizzas in Tokyo. I’ve tried quite a few pizza places in the city, including the vaunted Pizza on 38th, and I still have to say that PST is pretty solid. Neapolitan style pizza with a Tokyo twist. The crust was a little darker than most places but I prefer this. It allows more cook time so the middle part of the pie isn’t soggy.

Google
Crust is crusty. Dough is perfectly cooked with some burnt edges. Tomato sauce is sweet and mild. Perfectly made pizza! Would I say it's worth the price and hype? Yup! As an occasional treat. 2 pizzas and 2 beers running $100 even in fancy western Italian joints is already on the high side. Still worth a visit but you also would be fine missing out if you're visiting japan.

Google
Yummy authentic pizza but a few knocks that bring it down a star. Every pizza that came out had what seemed like intentionally burned dough bubbles that were bitter and annoying to pick off. Drinks are also required so we ended up having to order a 600 yen water bottle. Pizza is also a bit pricey, definitely not a place to go for value. Sat in front of the woodfire oven though and it was cool to see them make and bake the pizzas in front of us. Also note the long wait for walk ins as we waited for previous guests to finish up and clear out the tables. We were lucky to make the cutoff as the last party and hour and a half before closing (the people behind us weren't so lucky), so reservations are recommended.

Google
Arrived about an hour before opening and was first in line. The queue began to form around 30 minutes before the doors opened. Most guests didn’t have reservations and were still able to get in, so walking in early is a good option. I was seated at the counter with a full view of the kitchen, which added to the experience. Service was excellent, staff were attentive, offered to hang our jackets, and made thoughtful recommendations despite the language barrier. All pizzas were made fresh to order, and even with a full house, the wait time was minimal. The pizza itself was up to expectations, crispy and with a nicely developed crust. The dough leaned on the saltier side, which may come down to personal preference, but overall it was satisfying and flavorful.

Google
Insanely delicious pizza Was here on American thanksgiving with some friends and everyone was RAVING. They’re famous for the “salty crust” which takes all the flavors to the next level and makes the pies all the more delectable. I’m allergic to dairy and the staff were super attentive about it, asking if they needed to make sure there was no cross contamination or if that was okay. I tried two of the marinara pies (the original and one with toppings I chose) and they were so phenomenal I’m still dreaming about them. If you can get a reservation this is a great place to go!

Google
Amazing pizza! I’m a big fan of pizza and have been to many pizza restaurants around the world but this is in my personal top 5. Service is great and the atmosphere as well. They offer smaller size pizzas alongside the normal sized ones so you can try out different toppings. Simply an amazing restaurant and my go to pizza restaurant in Tokyo.

Yelp
Food 4.5/5.0 Service 3.5/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 3.5/5.0 Overall 3.5/5.0 Fantastic pizza. The special of the month was a spicy sausage pie that was half white and half red sauce based. Totally good, was a bit better than another fancy neapolitan chain that I tried the last time I was in town. Want to go back.

Yelp
Wow, even pizza in Japan tastes really good! If you're ever interested in eating pizza in Japan, don't knock it til you try! The Japanese have definitely crafted their pizza making skills and have even won prestigious awards for their pizza making! :P But would I pay ¥9,300 for all of this? Hmm... heck yeah lol. Despite it being a pricey meal (compared to the living standards in Japan), it is located in Roppongi after all, so it's expected to be a pretty penny establishment. Just a note: It does require a reservation, but we got lucky with a walk in! After we got situated, three other couples were whisked away and asked to make a reservation for another day. All patrons need to order a drink, so don't just come with an empty belly! Come with a parched mouth too. I got a nice cup of apple juice which I think is from Aomori? I could be wrong but it was delicious, wherever it was sourced. Not too sweet and had a lovely apple aroma and tart taste. The prosciutto and burrata were *chefs kiss* beautiful! Made me miss shopping at Eataly and reminded me that simple dishes are sometimes the best way to enjoy a meal. There was a nice helping of olive oil dressing and a beautiful arrangement of prosciutto with a tiny, dollop of burratta that paired lovely together. The showstopper of the night was the Margherita pizza though. If there's any pizza one should try at any pizza establishment to see if it's legit or not, it's gonna be the margherita. A simple pizza pie, but easy to mess up. However, at PST, the pizza crust was nice and thin, but gave a lovely chew at the end. The charring brought forth a nice smokey taste that accompanied the gooey cheese and sweet homemade tomato sauce. I would love to relive indulging in this pizza, but it would be a pricy meal. Maybe just for special occasions, lol. As far as the service, we didn't get bothered and food came quick! I just didn't like how the tables were close to one another. It made removing plates a bit difficult. Additionally, we had some curious table mates that kept looking over our table and even at our check. Yes, I'm calling you out girl. I think you should mind what you order and not what we ordered!! Aside from that minor inconvenience, food was lovely and we had a quick but amazing meal at PST. It was hard to enjoy everything slowly--just look at the food! Lol, okay that's the end of my review.

Yelp
This place is so. freakin. GOOD. Last time we were in Japan, we tried their other location (near Tokyo Tower) for the first time and loved it. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting in line, because there will be one. Our favorites are the Diavola pizza which adds the perfect kick, and the Cacciatore pizza which is incredibly flavorful despite not coming with the traditional tomato pizza sauce. The crust is really what distinguishes this establishment from other pizza joints--so airy, fluffy, and perfectly balanced between chewy and crispy! This place will absolutely be in our itineraries every time we visit Japan from now on(;

Yelp
Got here at noon on a Sunday. No wait for counter seating. 1. Octopus with lemon and celery appetizer: not bad but octopus was a little but chewy 2. Tamaki pizza: simple but flavorful. Would get again 3. Bismarck: nothing special. Kinda bland.

Yelp
To start- get a reservation- we didn't have one and I was so scared we wouldn't get in because it was such a well-respected pizza place. We were able to get in but had to surrender the table after an hour. Ok! Our pizzas were a delight- light and chewy crust and fresh ingredients. We each got a small and ate every bit of it! We also got the burrata and prosciutto pictured. SO fresh!! The servers were very nice and fast. I'm letting everyone I know going to Japan that this is the place to go for pizza!

Yelp
I was in Tokyo on holiday with my family and we were craving pizza. Good authentic pizza. So, after a bit of research we found PST only a few blocks from our hotel in Roppongi. We tried their "lazagna" appetizer which despite the spelling was fantastic. Very traditionally Bolognese and we could taste the tiny bit of nutmeg in the béchamel. Delicious. We also got a tomato based pizza and added some cheese. It had great flavor and the slightly charred bubbles were savory and crunchy. We liked PST so much we went back on the last night of our trip and enjoyed the broccoli with garlic and a salad in addition to another pizza. This time with sausage and prosciutto because we were very hungry! Friendly service and excellent food. Definitely a sure thing when there are countless choices. Thanks!

Yelp
Twoof the best pizzas I have ever had. Make a reservation by calling. This place gets packed and only has 48 seats. The atmosphere is cool and has a nostalgic bar vibe. The service was great and the pizza was so good. I wish I had a bigger appetite. I would have got one of each. Be sure to get in early. They can run out of dough.

Yelp
The Best Pizza I've Ever Had--And It's in Japan I'm not even exaggerating when I say PST Pizza in Tokyo completely rewired my brain. I went once, thinking it'd be a fun break from Japanese cuisine while traveling--and ended up going back two more times before leaving the country. That's how good it was. The dough alone is worth flying back for. It's got that perfect balance: light but chewy, crisp on the bottom with just enough char from the wood-fired oven, and somehow still airy inside. It's the kind of dough that tastes like it's been studied, tested, and perfected by someone completely obsessed with getting it right. And whoever made it? Mission accomplished. I tried a few different pizzas, and every single one blew me away. You can tell they care about ingredients--from the tangy tomato sauce to the creamy mozzarella--but the dough is what kept me dreaming about it after every bite. Now that I'm back in the States, PST is all I can think about. I've had pizza here since, but nothing compares. Honestly, it might've ruined pizza for me forever... unless I'm in Tokyo.

Yelp
Amazing authentic pizza comes piping hot out of the wood fired oven. Great vibe and delicious pizza! Lots of varieties. Wait staff were friendly and fast.

Yelp
It was a bit pricy but good thin crust pizza. I went there Sunday night and it was not crowded at all but had a hard time getting their attention to add more orders.

Yelp
It's a hand made pizza restaurant in Tokyo near by National Art Center. Very nice place and good taste of food. Monthly pizza with the first innovate sauce of ice shake of tomato, you must try!

Yelp
Atmosphere was super hip and upbeat. Food was very very good. The appetizers were amazing, blood orange OJ was tasty, and the pizza was thin crust and had a good amount of toppings on it. Their one popular pizza that has sausage on it was a bit spicy but tasty nonetheless. Service was very attentive and responsive. Overall a very awesome place but they do get busy quite fast.
