"Pop-up incubator Punk Foodie closed its Ponce City Market stall after six months in business. Founder Sam Flemming announced the decision on Rough Draft Atlanta. He wrote, “... it’s been a blast over the last 6 months or so with well over 50 chefs popping up to serve up an almost an equal number of cuisines. With that being said, we at Punk Foodie have decided to end the stall experiment and put our focus on other formats to achieve our mission.”" - Erin Perkins

"This new stall at Ponce City Market features a rotating roster of four pop-up chefs every month. There's also a themed dinner every Monday night (like their Chicago-style one). Punk Foodie's goal is to help elevate up-and-coming chefs in the Atlanta area. Meanwhile we’ll be elevating the food from the plate to our mouths. " - nina reeder, juli horsford

"Punk Foodie will open a food stall in Ponce City Market this fall, serving as an incubator for new chefs and possible restaurants with residences in its food hall space. The stall will be a venue for chefs to try out their cuisine, featuring one- or two-month residencies, weekend brunch, and collaborative dinners on Mondays." - Erin Perkins

I am convinced that Atlanta is not the place to come for good food. I ordered the curried chicken and veggie plate. My chicken and rice were the only things that were hot. The chicken plate was extremely salty. I mean it was like licking salt. It was supposed to be spicy. I must have been asked if I wanted it mild or salty because there wasn’t a hint of spicy heat just salt on top of salt. The vegetarian plate may have been a hit if it were hot. Like how do you serve cold food that’s supposed to be hot? The gentleman who took my order was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. Seating is open to all vendors. If you follow my reviews you know I hate wasting money. I spent $33 for food that was merely OK. Atlanta, geesh, yall need to step up your game. This isn’t it at all! Where do you all go for delicious food???

Moving to Atlanta - I was amazed at the many different delicious foods. This place highlights the great pop up chefs (a concept I didn’t even know about before moving here) of Atlanta. We came when Krupana was serving Bosnian food and IT.WAS.AMAZING. My Bosnian friend said it’s just like he remembers it. My friends and I are going to make it a tradition to eat a Punk Foodie at least once a month to discover great food. Truly an awesome idea for a restaurant. The owner was even making his way around the tables when we were there. So nice!

Chef Carla Fears was the pop up when we visited and she hit it out of the park! We really appreciated the customer service and the kindness from the two girls working the counter. We also loved hearing from Carla and her staff about how the food was prepared. It was absolutely delicious! Best tater tots I have ever had!

The food here was delicious and very filling 😋 I got the pork dumplings and some pork bao that was amazing! 😍 The staff was nice plus the wait time was very short. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming through the area as it seems the menu changes from time to time. 👀

Punk Foodie is really for the Foodies! They offer unique menu items with their fusion theme and a rotating menu of specials. You can see the chefs cook your food fresh to order and the staff is always respectful. I highly recommend this corner cutaway to any of ATL foodies!

The Tequila keylime donut was AMAZING!. The best desert spot at Ponce, a place with more food options than you can count. The chef's are cool, the treats are sweet and its a cool corner to relax in after an even of exploring the market!

I was not fond of the noodles, because of the fixture and taste. I did try something else on the menu that was pretty delicious. I’m definitely going here again when I visit Atlanta.

Yelp
I've followed Punk Foodie on Instagram for a while now, and I love the concept of bringing rotating pop-up chefs to a booth in Ponce City Market! I feel like this is great for the chefs too since it makes their food more accessible and gives greater exposure to a wider audience. I visited for the Ganji (Korean Mexican fusion) residency and had literally the best wings of my life! If you ever get the chance, you need to try their yuzu pepper wings with snow sauce! A fun Korean spin on a lemon pepper wet wing, the flavor is simply incredible. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. The decor is fun and fitting with wallpaper of different punk rock posters around the booth. There are a few tables around the booth. I actually quite like this secluded corner of the food hall on the first floor next to Vietvana and Umbrella bar since it is usually way less chaotic than the main food hall and always has tables open. You can check the Punk Foodie at Ponce Instagram to see the monthly pop-up schedule. I can't wait to try more amazing pop-up chefs in a convenient centralized location that I don't have to drive all over town for!

Yelp
So good! I ordered the ox tail patty melt, and as you can see, I started to eat it before I remembered to take a picture. The bread was crispy and buttery and accented the flavor of the meat and sauces PERFECTLY. My husband ordered the jerk chicken patty melt, and he had nothing but great things to say about it. In addition to the food, the service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We will be back.

Yelp
Punk Foodie features pop up restaurants that rotate in and out of the space and I got to say I am in LOVE with this concept! I've been here two days straight and both pop ups I've tried here have been absolutely amazing, the service was nice, the owner was going around and talking to everyone and explaining the whole scheme, and the food has been IMPECCABLE!! I come to ponce incredibly often and honestly it's been getting quite boring and I think this was exactly the breath of fresh air it needed. The idea of having new food rotating in and out every week is exciting and fun and i want to try ALL of it! So far I've been able to try the pork sandwich from Gangi and the rice balls and custard toast from Mighty Hans and all of the dishes have been 10/10! Great way to highlight up and coming Atlanta food. Would highly recommend checking this place out next time you're at Ponce!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem in the back courtyard of the market (by the garage) and man oh man am I happy I did! The food was incredible! It was pretty busy the day of my visit, but it didn't take too long to get my food, as everything is made fresh to order. I was super hungry this day, so I got three different options. I chose the Shrimp Katsu Sandwich, the Sweet Potato Veggie Hash, and the Asian style fries (I can't remember the correct name). The sandwich was super crispy and flavorful, and absolutely delicious! Everything on the sandwich paired so well with the crispy shrimp. The fries look like a lot, meaning a meal in itself with all the extra toppings. However, it paired perfectly with the sandwich. Definitely a phenomenal option for a cheat meal, lol! The Sweet Potato Tostada was really tasty, with the sweetness of the potato and the creaminess of the guacamole, not to mention the crunch from the tortilla made the perfect light snack. It was very, very good. A great idea for a breakfast on the go in the mornings. I also had a chance to try the Birria Ramen, which comes with a birria taco on the side, and that too was really good. I'm so impressed with the quality of the food from this place. I definitely can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Hidden gem. It's in one of the outskirts books of Ponce Market. Birria tacos best I have ever had. Ridiculously good. Crispy, fresh ingredients, perfect mix of spice and robust flavor. Little bit of crisp. Exceptional broth. Crazy good.

Yelp
Went on a Monday only to wait in line 10 minutes to be told only one dish is left and it's a 45 minute wait. My friends that waited said it wasn't worth it. Yeah great place lol.

Yelp
Korean greatness at its finest. You must try the cacio e pepe tteukbokki and the shrimp catsu sandwich. i was in heaven. I went back to eat here two times in one day. I also like that it's in a quieter part of PCM. I'll be sure to visit each time I come to shop.
