We booked the grand tasting for our wedding anniversary. We had an amazing experience and even joined the wine club. Danielle provided amazing attentive service. I would def come back for another visit. The small charcuterie was more than enough. This experience was very fairly priced.

This was my first time at this establishment. Absolutely stunning and amazing atmosphere especially with it being Black owned. I love the employees and how we were seated quickly. Our server Mikela was amazing and so happy to serve us. She was so sweet and gave her personal review on top of everything, loced how the owners were married and had a picture up! Try out this place!!’

Came for a friend’s birthday after seeing great reviews. When we arrived, we were the only group there. The space is cute, and we found parking easily. The host was friendly and even took a few photos for us, which we appreciated. Prior to the visit, we received an email outlining what the tasting would include, but the actual experience didn’t quite deliver. The host brought out the food and wine, gave a quick explanation of the wine type and its brunch pairing—which was nice, but very surface-level. The presentation lasted about seven minutes. There was no mention of the wine’s origin, how it was made, the vineyard, or the story behind the brand. Aside from the initial intro and one water refill, there was little to no interaction during the tasting. No one checked in to see what we thought of the wines or pairings, and we weren’t offered the chance to purchase bottles at the end, which felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming, though the space and concept have great potential. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but I left feeling like I didn’t learn anything or walk away with a better understanding of the wines or brand.

My Hubby has been grieving the loss of his father, so I decided to treat him to a Wine Tasting at Pur Noire located in Downtown Houston🍷✨️. Danielle and Nikki (GM) were our servers. They explained the history behind the Pur Noire brand as well as the origin of each wine. I'm so glad I purchased the Charcuterie board as part of the wine tasting because it definitely made a difference with the food and wine pairings. Here's a list of the wines we tasted: - Pur Euphoria Tempranillo Rosé - Pur Elevation Pinot Gris - State of Zin Old Vine Zinfandel - Pur Epiphany Proprietary Red Blend - Limited Selection Napa Valley Merlot - Ambrasé Semi-Sweet Red Blend Overall, I'll give it an 8/10 rating⭐️ ONLY because Danielle was on double duty, which caused a longer than expected delay. She had to switch between serving us as well as a large group of at least 5-6 ladies. This is where Nikki filled in when she realized the time was lagging between the last 3 wine tastings we had. However, Danielle was apologetic and both ladies delivered satisfactory customer service. We enjoyed ourselves as a 1st time experience and we look forward to our next visit. Beautiful ambiance and great variety of delicious wine. Perfect pricing and lovely place for a date or girls day out. Shelby was an amazing wine sommelier who taught us so much about the wines and history of the business.

Today i did a wine tasting with my cousin and auntie and enjoyed tasting six different wines.very fun and enjoyable! The wine associate we had was Ari and she was amazing! She made my experience 10/10! Th wines are great and she knew everything about the wines! My personal favorite was the Erin rose! A must try

I always love my time at Pur Noire. This weekend, I had a chance to visit again. They have incredible wine, a welcoming staff, and it's in a great location. What more could you ask for. I highly recommend their Epiphany red wine.

First time my wife and I visited here. We heard so many awesome reviews about this venue. We were definitely impressed with the service and the intimate ambiance it had. Our server Shelby was very knowledgeable and courteous throughout our time there. The wines were good as well. I highly recommend this place. Definitely will be coming back here.

What a great experience! The variety of wine and creativity behind the naming and brand is extremely impressive. I enjoyed the membership option they had available. The service was genuine and personable. I felt at home. The ambiance was very comforting and welcoming. I plan on hosting a girls night here!

I can keep coming here just for their noire night cap port style wine! It is really good! I love the ambience and decor. They always playing good music. The staff are awesome! What I would like to see more of is in the food selections. They have very slim options. The charcuterie board is good, but that's it. You used to be able to order off a lite bites menu from common bond and get it delivered there, but now that common bond has closed that location, there are no options. So do not come hungry.

Reservations are highly recommended. We lucked out when we arrived and sat at the bar area. Pur Noire is the first black-owned winery and tasting room in Houston. Our enthusiastic sommelier was very knowledgeable about the wines he presented us. I loved hearing about the history of the business and its owners. We were able to sample a flight of wine. We sampled their premium wines crafted from Napa Valley. Pur Euphoria was my favorite. I was pleased to find out that you can order their wines online to be delivered since we were visiting Houston. I absolutely recommend this establishment. It is modern, the hospitality is top tier, the decor is eye catching and the wine is great.

Some friends and I went to Pur Noire, the first Black-owned city winery in Houston, for Trivia Night being hosted by Houston Symphony. The ambience is warm, welcoming and well-lit. The music playing in the background was not disruptive to tableside conversation. While my Broadway knowledge was extremely limited, our group of 3 were highly entertained by our Wine Expert host, Suheil. He was engaging and informative, telling us the different notes associated with each wine and having us guess beforehand based on initial taste. We had the Grand Flight which included six tastings. When asked which would be most on-brand for a Harry Potter fan, Suheil recommended the Reserve Merlot (the wine option with the highest ABV) because it'll give you the Gryffindor-like courage (and Buckbeack-like wings), LOL! I love it! We didn't order any food. The overall experience lasted about an hour. Pur Noire also offers a Wine Club membership with discounted bottle prices and access to a small, private area of the urban winery. Suheil also shared that sometimes Sunday Brunch (buffet-style) is held. I look forward to returning for future events, especially after 6pm when street parking is ample and Happy Hour is being held.

Loved!!!! Hubby and I went for a wine tasting and it did not disappoint. You're able to try 6 different wines starting with whites then on to reds. My favorite wine was the Red Zin and the Queen Euphoria. Their port was really good as well! We didn't order any food because we ate before hand, but we did notice some people ordering their charcuterie board. It looked good! The place is downtown so parking is either on the street or there is a parking garage with the entrance on Louisiana St. If you become a member you are able to enjoy discounted bottles of wine. Overall we had a great experience and will be coming back. Tip- If you sign up for emails you'll be able to enjoy a complimentary pour

I came to this wine bar for the first time a week or so ago and became a member the same day. I went with a friend for the wine tasting and they have an incredible and unique selection (I loved the Merlot). The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive and just a good time to be around. The wine tasting consists of 6 wines and they also offer charcuterie (for purchase) for snacking during your tasting. They have live music on the weekends which is a great complement to the group tasting that they do at 7pm. My only complaints are they do not sell wine by the glass to non-members. After the tasting, I would have loved to grab a glass of my favorite and they are missing out on quite a bit of money. There is limited parking in the area and the bar in small with limited seating so I would make sure to have a reservation.

Came to support during Black Restaurant Weeks! I was able to book a same day reservations for a tasting in the afternoon so that was convenient. Ambiance - great for date night, girls night, or to come and chill. However space is limited if you are not a member of the winery so if it's something you're interested in, sign up. The tasting was very informative and the wines were pretty good. Will definitely be back

Pur Noire Urban Wineries was such a relaxing experience. The staff and service was so welcoming. When we sat down we placed our purses on the table a gentleman came around asking if we wanted purse hangers and this added touch unexpected but such perfect timing. The wine tasting was great! We did the Pur Noire Grand flight this provided us with 6 tastings. The staff was well educated and explained each wine with such poise. The saxophone player keep the vibes while walking around and playing covers for all the guest to enjoy. This outing is a perfect for date night, girls night out, or just enjoying some wine to wine down after a long day. I'm glad I had the chance to experience this!

Was in Houston for a long weekend with friends and one found out about this place so we booked a tasting! It's the only wine bar in downtown Houston and it's black owned. Street parking is available and there may be a garage in the area. The tasting went great, I ended up buying a bottle to take home with me. The gentleman who hosted our tasting provided great service and was very knowledgeable on the history of the wine bar and the tasting selections. The vibe is so nice and relaxing, love the decor and there even a gentleman playing his sax that night which really added to the ambiance. We did decide to order a bottle for the table and enjoyed a charcuterie board. Definitely check out this spot if you're in the Houston area or visiting!

Pur Noire is a delightful escape in Downtown Houston. I contacted them last minute for a private event and they were able to accommodate my needs for a wine tasting for 10 people with no issue! The manager hosted the tasting and took his time with all of our questions. They have an extensive selection of various wines. Only downside is the inside is a little small. Ambiance and customer service were excellent! I wish there were more food options but I was told they have a good weekend brunch. I'll be back to check that out!

Beautiful place to try with friends or partner! Taste the wines they have. I personally am not a wine girl so I didn't like it but my friends enjoyed it tremendously. But I did like the desert wine, it was so good!

The tasting room is cute and small. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable about the wines at Pur Noire. They will validate free parking for 2 hours! Overall, I would return again

We had the best time. Staff is amazing. We didn't have a reservation but since we were out of town the manager let us do a tasting at the bar. Conversation was amazing, live music was great. We will be coming back when we are houston.

We didn't have any food. We did the wine tasting, which includes six options. The guy who assisted (I hate that I can't remember his name but I believe he was from South Africa) us was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. The ambience is nice, and the room is dimly lit. However, it can't get a bit loud when they have multiple tastings in motion. The wine options were good. We especially like the Pinot Gris.

A unique experience. Put Noire is a small, unique winery in downtown Houston. As a new Houston resident, I have a list of local businesses that I want to try. Put Noire made this list because I really enjoy wine and I was happy to support a black owned business. As soon as you step inside, you will see that it's not the "traditional" winery setting. There is bar seating, tables for 2 and also tables to accommodate larger groups. There is also a private area for "members only", They offer several different tasting experiences that you reserve online. The matinée tasting is a good way to try them out for a reduced price. Your tasting experience is guided by a very knowledgeable staff member that gives you background on each wine that you try. The atmosphere is very chill & relaxed and they play great music. I did a solo tasting and never once did I feel out of place. Although most of the wines I sampled were a bit dry for my personal tastes, I still enjoyed sampling outside of my box. I was not familiar with the area so I took an Uber to the location. I'm sure there is street and/or garage parking nearby, but I would definitely confirm that prior to going.

Super & small cute Black owned winery!Romantic interior. Came on a Friday night for the $40 wine tasting & live music (recommend making a reservation, there's a 7pm or 830pm tasting). The jazz band was sultry and wonderful as entertainment. Knowledgeable staff on the wine selection and made it an interactive wine tasting experience. I signed up for the membership afterwards, so I'll give an update in a few months! A lovely experience all around. Great for date night or a small girls night

I really enjoyed this experience at this Black owed winery! First and foremost much appreciate for accommodating our party of nine with no reservations. There are multiple sampling options. We paid at the front & were seated in an intimate sampling area. This area featured a faux topiary wall, wine gift boxes for purchase as well as separate bottles. The host was very knowledgeable about the background of the brand, and compared some samples to more familiar brands to help you place your pallet.I absolutely would go again!

The ambiance was nice. The area where we sat was cozy. The brunch was catered in; the food we received, was as shown in the pictures but was not warm but tasted ok. The flights of wines were very good. The servers were friendly. I'm not sure if I would go back.

I enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere, but I would probably not recommend or return in the future. I did appreciate the staff's knowledge about the different wines and Pur Noire's history, but everything was a bit chaotic and unorganized. Maybe my expectations were a little too high based on my previous experiences at other wineries.. Great ambiance though!

We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday here with a wine tasting party. I must say the experience was amazing! The place is quint and in the heart of downtown Houston. Loved the decor and our sommelier was not only very knowledgeable but fun and hilarious. He's pictured. We purchased individual charcuterie boards for our party guest and everyone loved it. Highly recommend this place for your wine tasting event or just stop by for a glass of wine. You won't be disappointed.

The ambiance is very nice. However, I am a former member. My girlfriend and I came in to pick up my last membership bottle. We sat at the bar. The manager greeted us, served us water and the bar attendant, Suheil, poured our wine. We sat there for 3 hours...noone poured our wine, not one person, Carter, Suheil, Nikki, ans anorher lady without a name tag, asked us if we needed a refill on our water or if we wanted another bottle of wine. Absolutely nothing! I literally had to ask, Carter, for water. And the place was not busy at all. I'm highly disappointed. Oh, and the manager, Nikki, was very present...physically.

We had a wonderful time doing a wine tasting for our friends!! Cater was great!! He made our wine tasting experience amazing! He is so knowledgeable and we learned so much! Definitely will be back this pace was amazing!!

A few friends and I had reservations. Very nice wine selection, music and staff. They have wine for novice and connoisseurs. The only down side is that they don't serve food unless you're a member and even then the food is ordered from a partner of theirs. They offer charcuterie which is not made to share and isn't that great. Overall, I'd recommend for an intimate date night or girls night out.

Great service but did not meet my expectations of my idea of a winery. However the bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine is decent . The ambiance was nice but it's so small wouldn't recommend going with a large party.

I was in town for a work event and this winery was highly recommended from a fellow wine lover. The customer service was amazing. We did the full wine tasting. The flavors were different but delicious.

Jessie was an amazing guide. Provided us with a lot of knowledge and was very open to questions and helped us out a lot. Highly recommend.

First time here and I will definitely be back! I came with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and we enjoyed our experience so much! India was very knowledgeable about the history of Pur Noire, each wine and the perfect pairings for each wine. India and the manager that was present that night were very attentive. They both made sure that we had everything we needed, available for any questions and never had to wait for our next tasting. Love it!!! Came in about 9:00 and the manager kind of ruff around the edges. She first asked if were we, members. We said no and she said the only way we can get in was if we bought flights!!! I wanted to try that anyway so we said ok!! We were finally able to get in. But our waiter Brett or something like that. When he found out it was our first time and my family was here from ATL. He made our experience an experience of a lifetime. I learned so much about wine within an hour!! We love it!! And the wine was really good. The kitchen was closed so we had the charcuterie cup. I probably won't be back. But the experience was pretty good.

It was my 1st visit here and I was looking forward to it since it was black-owned. My husband and I came to celebrate my birthday weekend and the experience was nice. I've been to wineries/tastings before, however this was my husband's first experience and this was not my best experience but it was nice décor and ambiance. The inside was small and seemed crowded, however, the manager was knowledgeable and explained each wine and the perfect pairing to us from the Pur Noire light flight tasting. Even though we reserved it was a busy day and it seemed to be understaffed. We were immediately seated upon our arrival, however, we were placed at the bar instead of the table setting. The manager still accommodated us and was attentive as well. We did not try any of the foods/snacks because we had just had brunch. Thank you for your service and will return again for another try if I'm in Houston.

I enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere was really nice - but there were two things I would suggest is that you Uber or Lyft because the parking can be hit or miss the other thing is the charcuterie board is a no for me - they need other options for those that are vegetarian or pescatarian etc. but overall I enjoyed myself and would go back. I did purchase a bottle of their Zin delicious.

Always happy to support black owned businesses! I loved the vibe of this winery located in downtown Houston. We made a reservation for 2 with the 4 wine flight and definitely enjoyed our experience. Jessie assisted us in exploring our favorite wines and had excellent explanations on the different wines! Definitely bringing more friends next time I visit Houston :)

Very low key, great wine tasting, i believe they now have food from common bond. All stuff was super nice and well verse in their wines.

My favorite was the port as you could tell since i got 2 bottles. Thank you for your professionalism. Loved that the saxophonist played happy birthday to me too. Thank you so much. Found this gem the last day of my trip so I booked a solo tasting b4 my flight. The space is nice & intimate. Staff is knowledgeable & friendly. Though is was the only patron at the time, it allowed me to ask more questions without feeling rushed or fighting for attention from my tasting expert. I was also able to get the tea on other places to try while visiting Houston. I'll define back with a group of friends my next trip to Houston

My new fav wine bar in Houston for sure! Great wine selections. Highly recommend the tasting menus! I celebrated my birthday here with friends and everyone had a great time! The waiter was so knowledgeable and down to earth and the owner was very helpful and sweet. There were charcuterie trays available for purchase for my party which were fresh and paired well with our wines.

The place gets a 5 decor. The service was too slow and the waitress spoke too low. I couldn't make or anything she was saying during the wine tasting. It's allot of money to not hear a word.

As a California native near the wine country of Temecula, this winery is a great change of pace in the heart of the city. I definitely recommend this place for small/medium groups. Great casual vibe, great wine selection, and priced pretty fair. Great for dates, friends, or business. * Must be a member to place food orders.

My friend and I came in and had a great wine tasting with Jesse! The wines were smooth and delicious. We had a weird interaction with a guy who worked there though (Black guy with a mini Afro). He wasn't even our waiter and he kept coming up to us interrupting our convo making weird (and colorist) comments. Didn't like him at all

I always enjoy visiting Pur Noire. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great tasting, quality wines. Many of their wines have been awarded gold medals in international wine competitions. The cabinernet sauvignon earned a highly coveted 92 ranking in one of the competitions. As a club member, I'm able purchase wines at a discount and attend events for free.
