Outdoor playground par excellence. Incredible hiking, beautiful scenery, stunning mountain views. Lots of cultural artefacts, traditional lifeways like transhumance still practiced, excellent food. Steeped in history.

The train ride to the summit was very exciting. The breathtaking views from the mountain top, perhaps had overwhelmed me, as I could not tell if the seawater we saw in remote distance were Bay of Biscay or Mediterranean... the Colourful mountain ranges were so beautiful in Autumn.

Whether you like hiking, skiing or quaint mountain villages, the Spanish Pyrenees are the ideal destination for you. Timbered houses and hearty local food are on offer, while Spanish ski resorts are a great alternative to the busier – and pricier – resorts in the Alps. For the most part, the main crest forms a divide between Spain and France, with the microstate of Andorra sandwiched in between. Historically, the Crown of Aragon and the Kingdom of Navarre extended on both sides of the mountain range The Pyrenees (/ˈpɪrɪniːz/; Spanish: Pirineos [piɾiˈneos]; French: Pyrénées [piʁene] (listen); Catalan: Pirineus [piɾiˈnɛws]; Basque: Pirinioak [piɾini.o.ak]; Occitan: Pirenèus [piɾeˈnɛws]; Aragonese: Pirineus) is a mountain range straddling the border of France and Spain. It extends nearly 500 km (310 mi) from its union with the Cantabrian Mountains to Cap de Creus on the Mediterranean coast. It reaches a maximum altitude of 3,404 metres (11,168 ft) at the peak of Aneto. [1]

Very impressed. It's good to just drive through N260 all the way up. But make sure that you are driving at the day time, because some areas very very difficult. There's places that you can stop and take a picture. But honestly it's better idea to have go pro for all the way. Because most beautiful places you can't stop.
