I have never once given a restaurant a negative review because I understand what that can do to a small business, but my experience tonight was the single worst dining experience I've ever had.
An overly drunk customer, over served to the point where he fell out of and broke his chair, hit on my MINOR sister no less than 4 times, even after she had immediately informed him she was a minor. The other person with the drunk customer also simulated oral sex while looking at my sister, all while the two of them were trying to antagonize me because I told them to leave her alone. The drunk one said "just enjoy your toaster strudel" which should give you an indication of how drunk (and/or stupid) he was. We informed our server who informed the manager, who did absolutely nothing. The drunk customer and his friend stayed for an additional 45 minutes, and upon leaving on their own time, the manager shook their hands, gave them hugs, and said thanks for coming after they handed him cash which he pocketed. We had about 15 minutes of "peace" where we got to sit, irate and uncomfortable, and eat before getting the check.
When we got our check, there were no deductions for anything. It was the full check. I've never expected a discount or comp for bad service, but a minor being sexually harassed warrants something. After expressing how disappointed we were with how this was handled, and ensuring that the manager understood everything that transpired, and explicitly stating the sexual harassment of a minor, we received 20% off which felt subpar at best.
We asked our server if they had told these customers that they were not welcome back, and were told that nothing of the sort was communicated to them. In fact, he's a regular.
I understand that a restaurant can't control their customers' actions, but over serving a customer to that level, and then not even remotely addressing sexual harassment toward a minor is completely unacceptable. So I paid nearly $200 (after the discount) for my sister to be sexual harassed for the duration of our meal.
We have given this restaurant thousands of dollars in the past, and will absolutely never be returning since they clearly allow these acts to happen right in front of them if they're paid enough.
Our server was wonderful and I gave her a tip separate from the bill.
The food was fine.
