"This tiny pizza parlor makes pan-style pies in their peak form, with buttery, inch-high crusts, and a spongy, focaccia-like interior that absorbs the flavors of the toppings. Opt for pepperoni and whatever the rotating Sicilian Corners special is, then follow up your pizza with nostalgia-rich desserts like slab cakes and pies. Even though Quarter Sheets does a swift takeout business, we recommend sitting in the dining room for the full experience. The retro, brick-walled space feels like a cross between a quirky natural wine bar and a '90s-era pizza joint you might’ve gone to after a soccer game. After years of being walk-in only, Quarter Sheets now takes reservations. The bad news: those reservations disappear in minutes. Tables are released two weeks in advance at 9am, and they do still take some walk-ins (but prepare to wait at least an hour)." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"Korean BBQ in Koreatown is like sex and pizza: even when it's mediocre, it's still pretty good. Quarters appears to be something of a stepsister to it's neighboring KBBQ joints in the Chapman Plaza shopping center, a major hub for Koreatown nightlife. Although it flaunts a glossy chain-style restaurant, don't be fooled into thinking their BBQ is run of the mill. Expertly grilled Kobe paired with a solid selection of beers on tap, well that's artistry you can only find in excess in this neighborhood. Quarters is an ideal pick if the wait's too nuts at Kang Ho-Dong Baekjong or Toe Bang and you've got a hankering for mouth-watering pork belly, cooked tableside." - The HR Dept
"Aaron Lindell and Hannah Ziskin's Quarter Sheets Pizza has nailed that haute hipster vibe with its casual styling and vinyl and cassette collection. The word is out on this Echo Park spot, so expect a wait, but one bite of their inch-thick, pan-style pizzas makes it all worth your while. Baked to order, they're prepared with flavorful sauce and quality ingredients. Pepperoni is a classic choice, or opt for the pimento grove, a vodka sauced pizza topped with olives, 'nduja and cheese. And, while you might not expect to get serious pastries at a pizza shop, don't leave without trying at least one of Hannah Ziskin's pastries. There are a few offerings that rotate often but the signature Princess cake is a staple that's worth every bite." - Michelin Inspector
"Born as a pandemic pop-up on the porch of Aaron Lindell and Hannah Ziskin’s Glendale home, Quarter Sheets opened in the former Trencher space in 2022 and has gained a cult-like following for its crispy, well-sauced, pan-style pizzas. Getting a table here is still very difficult, but luckily, the take-out line is easier than ever. Mosey up to the front on any open day and put in an order for thick slices of Sicilian pizza and princess cake. If there’s enough time to plan ahead, Quarter Sheets offers full pie pre-orders." - Rebecca Roland
"There's been a serious proliferation of Detroit-style pizza shops in LA since 2020. But as places continue to open, it’s becoming more difficult to know which ones are doing the style justice and which ones are just cashing in on the trend. Quarter Sheets falls into the first camp. The former pop-up now resides in a small space in Echo Park with a rabid follower base (us included). Their crispy, focaccia-like crust has inch-high edges that crackle and snap under each bite, while the pillowy interior soaks up the sweet red sauce that’s striped across the top. Be sure to get whatever the dessert is that day, too. After years of being walk-in only, Quarter Sheets now takes reservations. The bad news: those reservations disappear in minutes. Tables are released two weeks in advance at 9am, and they do still take some walk-ins (but prepare to wait at least an hour)." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park
