"Picture, for a moment, an elegant bar from the 1940s: marble countertops, stained glass panels, stools under a U-shaped counter. Queen’s, from the Found Oyster team, is the place you’re imagining. While there are certainly other charming raw bars like it around LA, this is our favorite version in Eagle Rock. All of the action happens at the counter, where Kumamotos chill on ice and servers never let a glass of beaujolais go empty. You’ll always find a bunch of daily oyster specials on a chalkboard. If you’re feeling fancy with a date, order two topped with caviar." - sylvio martins, nikko duren
"A seafood-focused establishment led by chef Ari Kolender that was formerly known as Queen Street and is associated with Kolender’s broader cookbooks-and-collaborations activity." - Rebecca Roland
"This Southern-leaning seafood restaurant from the Found Oyster people is where 30-somethings in vintage demin go on dates. We like to sit at the horseshoe-shaped bar overlooking the kitchen and slurp down oysters dotted with caviar and eat Low Country dishes like she-crab soup and shrimp and grits with chili oil. It's all a bit pricier than the average neighborhood spot in Eagle Rock, so come here when you're ready to have a nice dinner that mostly consists of marine life." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"You had two weeks to book a date night spot, and now you’ve only got two hours. Don’t flip out. Just head to Queen Street, an excellent seafood spot in Eagle Rock that saves all of its bar seats for walk-ins. As oysters chill on ice along the smooth horseshoe bar, you’ll be swirling gamay and pretending like you planned this all along. Swing by on the early side (before 6pm) for Charleston-style dishes like chargrilled oysters, fried flounder, and smothered pork chops. You might have to wait for a bar seat on a busy night, but at least you can people-watch on the patio while a friendly server pours you a glass of orange wine." - nikko duren, sylvio martins, brant cox
"I noted that Queen St. opened in Highland Park in June 2023 and, like other Last Word restaurants, adds a 20 percent service charge; its staff are included among employees who could be affected by the lawsuit alleging the company retained portions of service fees rather than distributing them in full as gratuities." - Matthew Kang
