"Chef Tim Love puts his stamp on Denton at this steakhouse, which specializes in surf and turf. It’s signature is Texas-raised beef, and lots of Love’s signature game dishes are here too, including elk and foie gras sliders, rabbit and rattlesnake sausage, and chicken fried quail. For the late night crowd, it also serves doughnuts in Back Dough starting at 10 p.m." - Courtney E. Smith

Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff Slightly overpriced however the food delivered a pretty good flavor for us. I enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer dish and chicken breast was perfectly cooked.

David made our anniversary so special tonight! We showed up with no booking and we had no idea it was a private night party so the menu was restricted . We did get full service and a wonderful dinner. The steaks were amazing but what really makes this place stand out is the way they look after you. Thank you so much David for making our anniversary dinner special!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and Queenie's did not disappoint! The food was delicious. My husband had steak and I had the salmon. We had the chicken fried quail for our first course which was a great start to the meal. If you like Mac and cheese, they have some of the best as a shareable side. The cannolis for dessert were so yummy! Our waitress was very attentive, informative of anything on the menu and friendly. The ambiance was romantic with music playing in the background with a talented live classic guitar player. I highly recommend them for any special occasion, especially an anniversary.

9/4/24 had dinner around 730pm. This was from start to finish one of the best overall meals/restaurant experiences I've had anywhere in the country in years! Forgive that I don't have names, but from the gentleman who sat me and the service staff their attention to detail and sincerity was fantastic. The food was absolutely ridiculous in the best way! I had the buffalo cauliflower which was perfectly done, slightly crispy and tremendous flavor. Next, the chili that was excellent mix of spice and comfort! Then, the carrots with creme that might as well have been a delicious dessert and the tenderloin with plaid mash and asparagus. The texture was spot on mixed between the veggies and shoestrings. Done perfectly and like candy! Then, the dessert....oh my lord the dessert. The chocolate ancho cake....honestly, this was the best dessert I've had in my life. I would have taken 10 more to go if it wouldn't have been embarrassing. Just insane. You MUST hit this place when in town and drive to it from anywhere. Just AWESOME!

Google
What a fantastic experience! My wife and I dined at Queenie’s for the first time and loved it. From the incredible food (perfectly seasoned!) to the amazing service (thank you Helena!). Our evening started with chicken fried quail legs, butter lettuce wedge salad and tomato basil soup. For the main course, we shared the garlic stuffed tenderloin, glazed Brussels sprouts and crispy potatoes. At this point we weren’t thinking dessert, but we couldn’t say no to their cinnamon coated doughnut holes and coffee. We have dined at some great places, but this was the best dining experience by far. Thank you, Queenie’s!

Google
I can't say enough fabulous things about Queenie's. From the moment we walked in, until we left, we were made to feel very special. We were there to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary for friends. It was just the four of us. The manager stopped by the table no less than four times to make sure everything was perfect for us. Our waitress, Rhea, was also amazing. The food was a culinary delight. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The manager even gave us complimentary donuts with amazing sauces for dessert. Don't hesitate to take your special loved ones to this awesome fine-dining restaurant. Highly recommend!

Google
Amazing anniversary dinner!!! The whole team made our 10th anniversary dinner a treat! The dinner was DELICIOUS 🤤 From paprika shrimp and buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese appetizers to NY strip and bison sirloin, everything was perfect! The steak left my husband speechless - it was that amazing!

Google
The food was delicious and flavorful. I would give 5 stars but I do not like shredded beef in my chili .. however my friends loved it! The service was outstanding! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient with my questions. The atmosphere was cute and quaint which I liked.

Yelp
I was excited to find that Tim Love had a little hidden gem off the square in Denton, so I quickly made reservations for my finance's birthday dinner. From the moment we walked in the door, they made us both feel so welcomed and special. They immediately wished him a happy birthday without prompting which confirmed that they had read my notes in our reservation. We started with a cocktail made to order at the bar until time for our reservation. The bartender did an excellent job of recommending the perfect whiskey. Once we were seated, our server Ryan took excellent care of us. She thoughtfully asked about our wine preferences and made an awesome recommendation. Then, she walked us through the menu and clearly explained how the courses would be timed and prepared. And, the manager David came by several times to check on us but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal. We had the grilled oysters to start, and what a way to kick off the meal. The flavor pairing of lime, serrano and manchego cheese were so good. Then, we shared the butter lettuce salad which the kitchen thoughtfully split. They have really found a way to elevate their version of a wedge with the dressing, lardons and pepitas. Then, we both had the beef tenderloin which had been thoughtful prepared, seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was so tender that we didn't even need our steak knives. Finally, we finished our meal with the whiskey carmel, bacon sundae. Just Wow!!! I am always surprised by the food scene in Denton, but our meal rivaled some of the best dining experiences that we've had anywhere in the world.

Yelp
First plate - rabbit-rattlesnake sausage Second- tomato bisque Third- bison ribeye Last- donut holes Drink of choice - peach old fashion Service, food, ambience, cleanliness - all top notch. A must go to when in Denton. I hope I have the chance to go back again.

Yelp
I have been to Queenie's a number of times while I was temporarily living in Denton. I had the chance to know the bar and wait staff - all wonderful people. One night, I bring in a colleague for dinner. She had closed a sale and it was time to celebrate. I made it clear to the waitress I couldn't see the menu as my eyesight has challenges since birth and I haven't been fitted for glasses since surgery. The wine on the menu was sold by the bottle I had inquired about. Turns out the wine was 60 percent of two full priced entrees and an appetizer of a dinner bill for two. Again, I repeatedly made mention I couldn't read the menus. More than one seasoned restaurant/dining professional has made mention that it was careless at best for the waitress to not point out the price point. I have taken it up with Mike, The GM, to not have my calls returned nor Steve Love's office in Fort Worth. There are other dining choices for clients for to drop 125+ plus for dinner if they don't want to respond to my inquiry. Your food was good - not 60 percent of a bill for an at best, $30 bottle of wine I can get Krogers. Hope the waitress enjoyed my standard 30 percent tip - the staff won't realize it again after repeat attempts to talk to management at the location and corporate office.

Yelp
Holy crap, talk about amazing service! Tory!!! Omg she is so amazing and makes the experience a 10/10! We went to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and they made us feel so special as first time guests! The food is incredible! But the hospitality is what will bring us back!!

Patty S.

Yelp
Last night was our best Queenie's experience. We sometimes try to go back because we want a more upscale dining experience and don't want to drive to Dallas. We were pleasantly surprised. The host was welcoming and wonderful. Our server Kayla, was simply fantastic. She really paid attention to detail and was working hard. We will be sticking to the formula of, foie Gras sliders, Buffalo cauliflower, burger, truffle orzo and dessert. The manager was also lovely. It's not exactly a five star because of the slight lull in getting our food, but honestly, we will go again. It is obvious that the right people are running things and they have hired a fantastic staff. We hope it continues!!!

Sara B.

Yelp
We dined at Queenie's last night after having a poor experience at another nearby restaurant. The staff took care of us right away. We were incredibly pleased with the atmosphere, service and phenomenal food. Our server Tori was exceptional and made our dining experience so fun. The manager came by to check on us and offered the story behind Queenie's which was touching. Excellent manager and staff. Highly recommend the NY Strip and their Truffle Mac- Honestly there wasn't a single dish we ordered that wasn't just absolute perfection. Thanks again, Queenie's! We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our favorites list!

Heidi M.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! The service was excellent, atmosphere was really comfortable and inviting and the food was beyond amazing. Everything we had was phenomenal. Make sure to save room for the bacon Sunday! We went there for our anniversary and will go again! A special thank you to our server Maria, who took great care of us:) I have a serious gluten intolerance and she alerted the kitchen and made sure to make everything safe for me to eat. So good y'all!

Yelp
Queenie's Steakhouse has been around since 2013 and I'm disappointed that I took so long to check it out! This was my first time dining at the steakhouse and it is now one of my favorites. Chef/Owner Tim Love did incredible putting a contemporary take on a classic American steakhouse. If you go, the Whiskey Caramel Sunday is a MUST. Another couple nearby who frequently go here shared that they have tried all the desserts and this one by far is their favorite. I told my server that I could eat a whole plate of the peppered bacon that was in it...I wasn't joking. The service was remarkable. The hostess, Jen, and server, Bet, truly made me feel celebrated and were a great time. If you ever need somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, reserve a table here! The cucumber jalapeño was refreshing and not too spicy. I like sweet wine so the Moscato was perfect. I was hesitant on starting with the Chicken-Fried Quail, but was pleasantly surprised. I don't like the texture of Quail, but the breading was delicious! For the 2nd course, I got the Texas Ted Chilli and it was incredible. It definitely packed a punch and was very hearty, but luckily my server packed it up for me to enjoy later. The main course was super tasty. I really enjoyed the Roasted Garlic Beef Tenderloin. It was tender and packed with flavor. I tasted the salmon and I'd prefer trying the chicken or another steak next. I think the skin was seared with it for flavor, but I personally do not like the skin. My partner really enjoyed it though!

Amanda J.

Yelp
A classic Tim Love experience! Strong, delicious cocktails and appetizers, and I LOVED my burger! The steak was good but not the best we'd ever had. Service was impeccable as always, and the atmosphere was fun and lively.

Me P.

Yelp
Server was helpful explaining the menu choices. After placing our order, we waited over 1 hour for our food to be served. There were only 3 other tables with guest so it wasn't like it was a busy night for them and they were already eating. Waitress did apologize for the wait but they need to figure out this issue because others are complaining about this same problem on the reviews.

Nicholas D.

Yelp
Gotta say, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Denton. Service is impeccable and the food is always delicious.

Michael C.

Yelp
When in my hometown, Denton, TX, this is one my absolute go to restaurant venues. Tim Love's concept, named after his beloved mother, NEVER disappoints! My selection tonight, the "Cast Iron Atlantic Salmon", was way beyond exceptional. The Cast Iron Atlantic Salmon comes with a Purple Cauliflower Puree, Grilled Asparagus, and is surrounded in an artistic fashion by Poblano Cream. It is one of the best Salmon dishes I have ever indulged in...and I've even enjoyed Salmon at some of the finest restaurants on the planet! Much appreciation to General Mgr., Ken Blevins, and Bartender Allison Myers, for a superlative dining experience!

Travis J.

Yelp
Great place with really great steaks! A bit pricey but it's a great treat for us. The service and food was excellent.

Mindi A.

Yelp
We were first here opening weekend (about 10 years ago), and we loved everything, but don't pass through Denton very often. Made a reservation in the morning, and were able to get one for 5:30, which fit our plans perfectly. Everything is still stellar. The elk fois gras sliders were light and delicious. The Buffalo cauliflower was spicy and salty and we fought over the last piece. The garlic stuffed tenderloin was juicy and flavorful. The chili relleno was full of flavor and quite hearty for a veggie meal The NY strip was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious. The crispy potatoes were outstanding also. This is a steakhouse you can bring your vegetarian to and everyone can have a loverly meal. Oh and the best part, I didn't gain 3 pounds like I usually do when we dine out.

Holly R.

Yelp
We had a great experience last night! The chicken fried quail was delicious! I had the 8 oz. Tenderloin and we got the Mac and cheese, glazed Brussels sprouts, and crispy potatoes to share. We will definitely be back!

Denise A.

Yelp
Set Menu for Mothers Day at $75.pp. First course, my daughter and I selected toast. One slice had blueberry jam, one with crab spread and the third with avocado spread. Not even real avocado just a pre made spread. The bread was not even good. Not good. Second course, we selected tomato bisque. It was served cold. I waved the waitress down and she confirmed it was supposed to be warmed. About 10 minutes later the manager came out and served us new cups. Saying the pot was off the stove. Lol. They were definitely just microwaving. Finally course was tenderloin. Again, served cold! I didn't even bother saying anything. We waited at least 30 mins between course and they obviously were just pre-plated. We will never go back 0 out of 10.

Reginald G.

Yelp
I would like to say we had a great experience. The mood, the live music all was great. The food was good as well besides the fried fish that we had but they took care of it for us so our experience was great. The server, the manager, the host everyone was great. We definitely will be back. I have been trying to find a good steak and I have had many this one by far has been better than most of the steak joints in the greater Dallas metroplex including Legacy West. I am hoping next time I go I will be blown away by their wagu steak option.

Kristina C.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED this intimate steakhouse!!! The entire restaurant only hosts maybe 20 tables so if you want to visit, try to make a reservation. The interior is rustic and chic. The staff was phenomenal; every worker made us feel welcomed from the hostess, to the waitress, to the Manager (I think his name was Ken). The menu has three courses but you can order in any fashion you prefer; eating one, two, or three courses. We chose to have course one and course three. My favorite thing on the menu was the Chicken Fried Quail but to be completely honest, EVERYTHING on the menu was amazing. Also tasty... the lemon drop martini made with vanilla vodka. It was a little sweeter than a traditional lemon drop martini but was divine none the less. We also enjoyed the live music that was playing during our dining experience. There was not one thing about this establishment that we did not like. Easily five stars!!!

Chris P.

Yelp
Best fine dining in Denton. We ordered the wagyu tomahawk steak, and it was amazing. Nice wine list. The service was excellent.

Garnie B.

Yelp
Been the queenies twice, and both times really enjoyed the experience. The wait staff pays attention, the management team stays on top of things, the food was amazing, and the wine was good. We had reservations at 8:00 but arrived early, so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of scotches as our table was being prepared. Barkeep and the management team were amazing had great conversations and we laughed a lot. When our table was ready our waitress was amazing, she made sure that everything was covered and we understood the menu and offerings. We did have one snag, we did order one fillet that needed to returned be cooked as we requested. We had to return the steak back three times to get it right. But once it was done correctly, it was an amazing. Yeah it was a little frustrating to have to send the food back several times but once it was done right it was a great cut of beef. As for dessert well we got the donut holes and I highly recommend that dessert. It is hard to explain but All I can say it was an amazing dessert just get it. Even though we had a little snag with returning their food a few times, we still will go back. Still a great team still great management and the food was amazing. Definitely will be going back and we'll make another reservation soon.

Dagmar Sigrid D.

Yelp
I would rather eat cardboard. We had the Thanksgiving dinner. It was supposed to be Urban Western. We don't know who thought of the recipes, but spices definitely did not go together. The service was alright. What were they thinking? For a $$$$ restaurant (3 people are for $308.00 not including tax or tip.) pumpkin spice Quail, "Glazed" Brussels Sprouts- glazed with pork grease, some kind of veg salad, some kind of salad with cranberries, fall soup that was cold cranberries pumpkin spice water, don't get us started with the rest. Too Nuevo for us. Sorry Queenie!

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Hands down favorite date night spot. The food is phenomenal, drinks are never a let down and the whole vibe is just right. The staff is always so friendly and helpful and their location is perfect!

Cathy L.

Yelp
Queenie's is very good but over the top expensive in silly ways. People go to special restaurants like Queenie's as couples. So serving 3 shrimp in an appetizer and asking if you want to add one for your table is a ploy. That 4th shrimp costs $6.33. Really? Then you order a standard drink, a gin and tonic in this case. The sweet waitress who has already asked if you wanted to add a 4th shrimp, asks if you'd like lime in your Gin and Tonic and of course you say yes. That's part of a standard gin and tonic. You proceed to have 3 of those before and during dinner. Now you get the bill from the very sweet and very efficient waitress to find that the 4th shrimp costs you $6.33 and each slice of lime costs you $.50 cents extra. Seriously? Silly and over the top! It's a shame because Denton needs to have more upscale restaurants that do not take advantage of their customers like this. Bye bye, Queenie's.

Yelp
This place is delicious. We were headed to a friend's house in the area and decided we had to try another one of Tim Loves restaurants. We live in Fort worth and had eaten at the Lonesome Dove which we loved so we were excited to eat here, and we were not disappointed. We had the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage and the elk and foie gras sliders to share which were all delicious. I then had the buffalo ribeye which was cooked medium rare and melted in my mouth, perfect! For dessert we split the butterscotch budino which was light, fluufy and sweet. Our service was great and our prosecciabdn cocktails were being filled regularly. A great place that we will recommend to others and hopefully visit again!

Trisha M.

Yelp
The service at this place was impeccable from the start. Our hostess was super friendly and took our temps and had us sign in in case the need for contact tracing. I know this can cause some angst with some diners, but I applaud their safety measures in ensuring their guests are safe, even after they have left the restaurant. I wish more restaurants contacted customers in the case there was a positive case when they were at the restaurant. We started off with some wine. We did glasses as I wanted to try some different ones but our server was so prompt and made sure I didn't have an empty glass that refilled with the same wine. No complaints tho at the service and not having an empty glass! Food wise, we went out of our comfort zone and tried the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage and elk slider with jam. Both were pretty good and worth a try if you want to venture out a little. Entree wise we did the bone in pork chop with a side of cauliflower and burnt carrots. Portions were beyond what we thought! We were stuffed by the end of it (and had to take home some things) that we couldn't try the desserts. However I did get a night call port which was delicious.. I'm so glad we got a chance to visit this place while in Denton. I would definitely recommend coming here. Your stomach and taste buds will thank you!

Scootir L.

Yelp
Service was slow and food was pretty awful. Had their cast iron salmon which was a tiny portion (less than 4 oz) that was overcooked and flavorless, served on a little purple blob of cauliflower puree with 2 asparagus spears for $40.00. Other plates at our table were so over salted or over seasoned that we couldn't enjoy them. Add in their high prices ($100/person without drinks for our table) and this place was a joke. Would never go back.

alex m.

Yelp
one of the best food experiences i've had in a long time! we all got the garlic stuffed tenderloin with brussel sprouts and crispy potatoes. everything was so flavorful, tender, cooked to perfection, and downright delicious. one of the best steakhouses i've been to! special shout-out to our waitress, Tori. she was so incredibly sweet, accommodating, and attentive. we were all in love with her! definitely pay a visit when you can. incredible!!!

Yelp
We made the mistake of trying to dine at Queenie's on January 28th, 2023 with a 5:15 reservation. We frequently dine throughout the DFW area and are hard press to name an upscale dining spot we have yet to go to. We are fans of Lonesome Dove in Fort Worth, so were excited to try Queenie's. Things started well, the hostess was very friendly, and Rebecca, the waitress, was superb. Since I'm a wine enthusiast, we worked through some options, and she was knowledgeable and helpful. Note: my first and second choices were both out of stock. The salads came out quickly and were delicious, and the wine choice was excellent. We put our food order in. After about 45 minutes with no food, the manager came over and apologized and said the wine was on him. We told him we had a show to go to and had to be out by 7:00 (remember, it was a 5:15 reservation). An hour and ten minutes had passed, and we still had no food. I was doing a lot of watching. The table next to us had to return their food several times before it was right. Then, a table across from us with five people that had come in at least 30 minutes after us received all of their food. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. The manager came over and apologized again, and we told him about the table that received their food. Unbelievably, he said they only had 5 oz steaks (ours was 9). I told him that was a pathetic excuse that made no sense. He said he wasn't making an excuse. My wife and I got up and left without ever getting our meal. Hard to rate food that you never had. On the way out several staff members shared with us that management was a real problem and had turned over 3 times recently, and that they had lost their head chef. Bottom line: After many years of dining around the globe, this had to be the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. First time I have ever walked out of a restaurant. Perhaps if the owner/chef spent less time working on his celebrity status and entertainment career and started to focus on flawless execution (at his hometown restaurant no less), this place might not have so many poor reviews. A quick scan over history of reviews across several sites, shows an approximately 60% positive and 40% negative review history. Also notable is the total lack of owner or restaurant response to reviewers....ever! Pretty pathetic for a supposidly upscale restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Lots of awesome dining experiences to be had elsewhere in the Metroplex.

Yelp
Honestly surprised at how overrated this restaurant is. Made a Saturday dinner reservation for my birthday with family. Started with 2x oysters that tasted ...off. Ordered a bottle of Opolo that was fresh out, so the waiter recommended Ely. He served a different table wine first and took awhile bringing ours, but did apologize. We were still charged for Opolo ($2 more, whatever) I think he may have been the only waiter on our side of the mirror. Dr. Ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk medium rare, had to clarify that I want a "true medium rare" since the waiter explained Tim Love's definition of cooking a steak tends to be on the rare side. The steak was done PERFECTLY, as was the prawns and orzo on the side. We also ordered the Bone in Pork chop, which was ok and the Colorado Trout. Way over salted, and the salad wasn't even edible it was so salty. Poured our bottle of wine to ourselves, which is fine I guess. Asked for a desert menu, BTW was not offered a birthday dessert even after a $300+ tab, but it's ok, I didn't want one, the dessert menu was unimpressive anyways. Donuts, ice cream or chili chocolate cake? Expected a little more from Tim love. 3.5 stars for service 3 stars for food Don't get the hype. Lonesome Dove is his only decent restaurant. Would not return or recommend.

Sable T.

Yelp
Completely disappointed! My husband and I went tonight for dinner. The food was far below what you would expect from a steakhouse. (We are regulars at other steakhouses across DFW & have never been so disappointed) The saving grace from the entire evening was the wonderful bartenders. Extremely personable and amazing customer service. We started with the rabbit-rattlesnake sausage. It was good and the best part of the meal. For dinner I got the NY strip, medium. It was way too charred on the outside and very tough. My husband got the bison ribeye, medium rare. It was extremely chewy. Neither steak was good by any means and outback could make a better steak. The cuts they had were just extremely poor when you break it down. We got the mashed potato as a side. It was decent but nothing to rave about. We also got the glazed carrots with local honey(per menu). When they were brought out to us it was introduced as "burnt carrots" and boy were they not wrong. I do not recommend. I find it extremely ridiculous they can call themselves a "steakhouse" when they only offered NY strip & Ribeye tonight. Lastly, the manager never came over to check on us. He made eye contact with my husband several times and never made the effort. The restaurant was slow and we sat at the bar. It would have taken no extra time to Stop by. At the end of the day I am surprised they have the reviews they do & wish we would have had a better experience. The only reason I would give 2 stars is for the lovely bartenders who had wonderful customer service.

Yelp
Hard not to compare to Lonesome Dove since menu was nearly identical. I ordered the foie gras sliders that should have been out of this world, but I swear I was missing the foie gras as well as the blueberry jam. All I tasted was the slider. That was good, but not noteworthy. The quail, however, was outstanding. We agree the bison ribeye that was perfectly prepared and accompanied with carrots and goat cheese. That was yummy. Topped it off with the dessert tray. That was a highlight.

Becky P.

Yelp
Celebrated our 35th anniversary at Queenie's Feb. 18, 2023. Professional staff! It had a very European feel...not rushed, knowledgeable about the menu, and they had a sense of being exceptional. We had the sliders with foix gras and elk, rattlesnake and rabbit meatballs, a salad, tenderloin and vegetables and to top it off we had chocolate cake. Perfect timing between courses...we actually stayed 2 1/2 hours. The food looked and tasted wonderful. Our wait staff were perfect and just attentive enough. Thank you, guys!

Shane V.

Yelp
This hands down one of the best steak houses around. We drove from fort worth to try it and the steaks were absolutely fantastic. Just say yes and go.

Gary L.

Yelp
Made a reservation on Open Table for 3. There was no indication that they were serving a 4 course dinner. I wouldn't of brought my 12 year daughter if that was mentioning on the reservation. Had a stuffed filet. Very disappointing, almost no seasoning, bland sauce, and wasn't stuffed at all. 1st course: The Oyster Rockefeller was the worst I've ever eaten. It was not baked, like the recipe should be. It had some type of herb spinach poured on top. Not good at all, and I've eaten oysters Rockefeller across the globe. This was the worst I've had. 2nd course: Broccoli and cauliflower soup. They ran out of Broccoli. My soup was mashed cauliflower, with no other flavor. Gross 4th course: Got my cherries jubilee to go. They put it all together in the same to go. It was a melted mess when I got home. I threw it in the trash. $400 for 3 people. One of the most disappointing meals I've ever eaten. Never saw a manager. Probably a good thing, because I would of been brutally honest. Don't charge 5 star prices, when you serve 3 star food.

Yelp
Was celebrating an anniversary and officially moving out of Denton - I've lived here for the past 8 years. I've always wanted to go to this Denton staple. It was so delicious. Obviously pricey but we figured in for a penny out for a pound and we did it all. LOVED the tomato soup and the steak. Honestly thought it was a tad overdone (I ordered medium rare and it was medium) but tasted delicious none the less.

Joel M.

Yelp
I'm an over the road truck driver. I was laid over here in Denton for a couple days. I wanted 2 things. A great steak and some TexMex. So I google this place Queenie's had 4.5 stars. Should have been 5 plus. The GM took my call. Invited me in. Was very personable and really seemed to know what he was doing. Al was my bartender and server. She was so funny and sweet. The food was the star tho! I had a bison ribeye and it was the most tender and delicious cut of meat I've ever had. The potatoes were rich and creamy. The salad was amazing. They call it butter salad. It has fried pork belly and jalapeños in it. Listen, if you're in Denton treat yourself to the best meal you'll ever have. I guarantee it! Joel Miller - Charleston, SC

Yelp
We chose Queenie's tonight for our pre Thanksgiving dinner, and the service and food didn't disappoint! Grace did an amazing job serving our table, with order accuracy, great conversation, and making our dining experience unforgettable. You won't be disappointed if you are seated at one of Grace's tables! We had soup/salad for starters, steak all the way around the table (can't say enough good stuff about their tenderloin!), and crispy potatoes, brussel sprouts, and mushroom orza as our sides. No regrets at all on those choices! That was all topped off with an exceptional caramel vanilla bacon sundae for dessert, as well as some excellent beverage choices from the bar! We had a wonderful evening and will for sure be returning to Queenie's!!

Yelp
Atmosphere Drinks Service Food?! AMAZING!!!! They accommodated our last minute add to our reservation which was much appreciated. We are visitors to Denton and we were celebrating our sons graduation and the staff rose to the occasion. I ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked just as requested...juicy and amazing flavor!!! I also recommend the Mac n cheese and these TO DIE FOR Rosemary potato's!!! Queenie's defines exceeded our expectations and took our celebration to the next level. If I lived in Texas I would definitely be a regular!

Yelp
Holy shitake!!! I've been here before but this visit... I've never closed my eyes to truly savor the moment as many times as I did today. Treat yo self Friday indeed... We started with a bottle of bubbly, so many tiny bubbles dancing on the tongue. Did I mention that Friday lunch is 1/2 price wines?!! We ordered the 32 oz tomahawk wagyu ribeye, I'd recommend medium rare. Split between 3 people. It came beautifully floating on top of a pile of super mushroomy Manchego cheese risotto. Langostino lobsters split resting against the beef baby and a bunch of charred asparagus. We didn't need to order the potato puree or Brussels but... Jake was helping us, and this sommelier knows his business! After the bubbles we had an incredible cab, on his recommendation. So do yourself a favor, let him help you!! He's wonderful! He carved the steak off the bone, we got some tongs and went to work. It was all so rich, distinctive and incredibly flavorful. We could not finish it... I'm hoarding these leftovers Mad Max style and am already trying to figure out when I can eat it all again! Really well done, great experience with everyone around. Thank you, there's all the Love...

Yelp
Just left Queenie's after celebrating my friends birthday and can I just say WOW! Grace was our server and was so knowledgeable about everything from the wine list to the history of the restaurant. The manager Ken really took the best care of us and even set up dessert platters to share for a group of 10. Thank you!! We felt so taken care of and y'all made my friends birthday super special highly recommend this place, food of course was amazing itself but the service made it top tier!!

Yelp
Not sure why I've put off trying this place. Everything was spectacular, from the very tasty food, amazing drinks and top notch service. Very cool, laid back vibe in a slightly upscale environment.

Yelp
An excellent choice for a steak, nice atmosphere, and all around fine dining experience. We came up from Ft Worth after eating at one of this restaurants "sister ships" Gemelli (also quite nice). Grace was our server, she is excellent. No, better than excellent. Honestly speaking. her help with the menu, pleasant demeanor, and disarming smile had a significantly positive impact on our overall experience. Just the right amount of helpful. We ordered the tenderloin and a NY Strip. I would say the tenderloin was the better of the two.... Hard not to close the eyes with each bite. But that's a matter of taste. They were both delicious. Well worth the bill. We'll be back for another special occasion. And most definitely sharing this experience with friends.

Yelp
We have lived in Denton for a few years and finally got around to trying Queenie's for my wife's birthday. The food was amazing as you would expect from a Chef Tim Love establishment. What made it 5 star was the service. Our server, Cameron was personable, knowledgeable, and just wonderful to talk to. She suggested the Bison Ribeye for my wife and it was perfection. The manger in duty ( did not get name ) was also on point. Lots of places in the area have great food.... But great food and wonderful service, as well as a really unique venue are a recipe for success. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Our Texas friends celebrated a birthday last night and I was impressed by the wonderful meal. We began with well made cocktails to accompany the popular quail legs, oysters and more quail legs. The steaks are tender and perfectly grilled and the huge wagu bone-in ribeye freaking awesome. The well chosen wine list offers great variety from around the world and mostly well priced. Next time this LA boy is in Denton TX I'll be there.

Yelp
The mac & cheese is orzo instead of macaroni. The potato hash is actually redipped, very salty, shoestring potato sticks. The basil in the queens crown drink is a syrup instead of fresh basil. The tomato basil soup is likely the base they use for Texas chili based on the flavor. It makes sense to recycle as much as possible... you just wouldn't expect it to be obvious. Main course was amazing except for the shoestring potatoes & the managers attitude when pointing out this is something that really belongs here. He said he's been there about a month, inadvertently implying he's not responsible for upholding the establishment to pre-Covid quality. This is apparently a change during 2020 to cut corners & save time. Understandable, but not what you would expect here. We didn't get the customary 10-15 min check in after the food arrived - Karsyn came back at the end of the meal. The service was very good until the food came out though, then dwindled. Though we sat inside, our clothes still smelled like their fire pit. This just isn't what you would expect in a place like this when you look at the prices. The menu isn't accurate for all you receive. If it's their "take" that's when you give a description or call it fusion. Had we ordered garlic potatoes, would they have surprised us with tator tots? Basil isn't Basil syrup. A few menu tweaks would prevent this inaccuracy.

Yelp
Very good service. Steak was well prepared. Our waitress did a very nice job! The dining room was a nice setting and the bar was very popular though we went right to our table
