I had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Qusqo Bistro. The authenticity of the dishes truly transported me to the heart of Peru. The yucca fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully tender on the inside. They were a wonderful introduction to the flavors that awaited. The kicking shrimp dish was a knockout! The perfect blend of spices and the freshness of the shrimp created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It was an unforgettable dish that I'll be dreaming about for days. Let's talk about that green sauce! It was nothing short of magical. I couldn't get enough of it! It elevated every dish to a whole new level of deliciousness. And the drinks! Oh, the drinks. The chicha juice was a burst of fruity goodness that left me feeling revitalized. The Peruvian herbal tea was a soothing finale to the meal, leaving me feeling refreshed and light. The attention to detail and commitment to authentic Peruvian cuisine truly shines at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of the culinary treasures this gem has to offer. If you're in LA and haven't been to Qusqo Bistro, you need to go and stop missing out on one of the city's hidden gems. Every dish takes you via Llama straight to the heart of Peru, with the Arroz con Pollo standing out as my absolute favorite. The flavors almost have vibrant colors, making it easy to say that the food is soooooo good. Beyond the delectable meals, the ambiance captures the spirit of the Peruvian and chill culture beautifully. The vibe is effortlessly cool and warm, making it a perfect spot for both intimate dinners and group outings. And if all this wasn't enough, the service is friendly and exelent. Every visit, the staff ensures a memorable and warm experience. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I stopped by after a busy work day! For my first time I had the, fish ceviche for my appetizer and the lomo saltado for my main entree! The flavor was on point and I was very pleased with chef Lucy’s take on these dishes. The atmosphere was peaceful and artistic. I definitely enjoyed and wanted to let some friends know about this hidden gem! Five stars forsure!

This restaurant is really disgusting 🤢 a very bad atmosphere with tables full of flies 🪰 the sofa smells bad. It takes more than an hour to give you your food and the girl who serves you is all disoriented. Very high prices that are not worth the little food they serve you. If the atmosphere says it all, how will the kitchen area be 😵‍💫

Super authentic Peruvian restaurant! Sangria is a MUST TRY! The ambiance is amazing, food is great and drinks are delicious. The Lomo Saltado is definitely a must but honestly everything on the menu is delicious. This time I got the green rice with cauliflower for a vegan option and it did not disappoint!

Wow the flavors, nice to get our fave lomo saltado but with great appetizers of veggies and seafood. The server was nice enough to have kitchen split our lomo saltado as we wanted to share plates, and no rice to avoid getting full fast. The stuffed avocado with shrimp was nice surprise. The papa ala huancaina and warm rice pudding reminding me of our family's meals in Lima, Peru. Def hope they stay and survive these times of pandemic.

This is the first place I’ve ever tried Peruvian food and it did not disappoint. I came here with my mother a couple of months ago and I loved it! I ordered the steak tacos and they are DELICIOUS! Good portions. Perfect if you’re hungry but not super hungry. The restaurant itself pretty neat too. Always fun Latin music is playing, so it keeps an upbeat mood.

Delicious - everything we had! - and I went with a discerning friend! The best sangria I’ve ever had, amazing avawaca, scrumptious ceviche, delicious vegan “hot wings,” yummy yucca fries, a veggie noodle dish to die for, arroz con leche that was mouth-watering… ample servings for leftovers, charming indoor & outdoor seating… HUGE BONUS to support a local, Peruvian, female-owned business. I’ll be back :-) Next time for the *pitcher* of sangrias!

I love Lucy and her staff, they are always so warm and inviting. The best Peruvian food around so healthy and delicious!!! I had the stuffed avocado, sooo yummy. I can't wait to go back for one of her special paint nights.

Came here with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. The food looked good, and I ordered the tallarin verde pasta with chicken. My friend ordered the arroz con pollo and her husband ordered the shrimp saltado. Since the menu said "family style eating" it led us to believe that the amount of food we would receive would be enough for the three of us to share our three dishes. The food took forever to come out, and were very small so we didn't end up sharing more than a taste. Below is the review from each dish: Arroz con pollo - this dish was very tasty. My friend is from central America, so she wasn't fond of it since she is not a newbie to this dish and said that it was was just okay. Since I'm a newbie, I liked it when I tasted it, but my friend said it definitely was not authentic. Tallarin Verde pasta - This was good, although at first it lacked a little flavor. My friend suggested asking for more sauce because it looked like it was a bit dry, so I did. They happily accommodated and gave me a small condiment size dish with more sauce, however, it was very cold. I poured it on my pasta anyway, and it definitely helped with the flavor and I enjoyed my meal, although now my pasta was on the cold side due to the added sauce. I was just happy I finally had my food as it took forever. Shrimp Saltado - I didn't eat this, but my friend and her husband said it was okay. Not authentic but just okay. Unfortunately, once my friend and I finished eating, we were not really full and wished we had at least a few more bites. My meal was $17 so I should not need to eat a snack when I got home because the dinner wasn't enough. My friends husband, however, had to order two meals because it wasn't enough for him. He's tall, but very skinny and never needed to order a second meal before. The second meal was a hamburger and side salad. The hamburger was very small, about the size you'd serve a child. Since we were there for my birthday, we asked if they did birthday deserts. The waiter said he'd see what he could do. They gave us the dessert with a candle and we all sang which was nice. But when the bill came, they charged us $7 for it. They never said we would be charged for it. I felt bad because I didn't want a dessert, we just did it for the singing and fun of it. They gave us rice pudding, which was actually really good. Small, but we shared and each had a few bites. The kicker is that once we got the bill, it was discovered that the price they were charging us for some of the items was different than the prices on the menu. For example, the menu said $2 for soda, but the bill showed $3. Other items were $1 more as well. When we brought it up they said the menus must be old. Ok, but that's not our fault. They took off some of the charges to even it out. I read some of the previous reviews, and saw that in 2022, someone else said they were charged a higher price than the menu stated. Sounds like a scam to me for those who don't look at their bill closely. Shout out to our waiter though, he was new, but did a great job. He was tipped 20% as we know none of this was his fault. He was very attentive and helpful. He's the reason I gave it two stars instead of 1.

I don't like leaving low star reviews especially for small businesses but we did not have a great experience at this place. We sat outside and ordered from both their happy hour and regular menu. We ordered the yucca fries, plantains and choclo con queso. The fried and plantains tasted great, though I wasn't a huge fan of the last one. We ordered these dishes off the happy hour menu and they were definitely quite small in size. We ordered the saltado with shrimp to share. The portion is pretty big for one person but not really big enough to share. It was extremely salty and mostly tasted like they used a bunch of soy sauce. Much different from saltados that I've had at other Peruvian places. Our friends also ordered a rice dish and said theirs was also extremely salty. It took an extremely long amount of time for our food to come out. There was only one other couple who had already finished their food when we got there so we weren't sure why it took so long for our entrees to come out. Street parking only in the surrounding neighborhoods. The outdoor patio is dog friendly.

Food was ok. Not great. We ordered: 1. lomo saltado - tastes good but be careful, rice is extra cost that's not explicitly displayed on the menu. They just dropped it off at our table with no mention of the cost and we didn't ask for the rice either. 2. Picante pasta - not the best but also not bad. It really just tasted like normal flat noodle pasta that was a little bit spicy. Low on flavor. Also over charged. Menu pricing was $15, they charged $16 when the bill came out. Caution: I recommend double checking the menu pricing before paying. Suggestion to management: just update your menu so you don't overcharge and make additions clear. Probably won't ever come again.

This is a long overdue review but it needed to be done just by the surprising lack of professionalism, scam tactics, and it doesn't help the food sucks either. I brought my friend here for her birthday dinner since we were in the area and craving Peruvian food. We noticed the bad reviews and should have avoided this place but it seemed like there wasn't another Peruvian spot nearby or on our way home so we decided to go in. The food is terrible. The arroz con pollo I got was definitely not anything I had ever tasted before, and just ended up picking at it. The servings were small and my husband had to order a cheeseburger just to get full since his meal was tiny. I asked if the owner if they could do anything for my friend since it was her birthday and she said they could bring out an arroz con leche. Never mentioned an additional charge. We received the bill and realized not only did they charge for the tiny dessert, but the charges did not match their menu prices. The owner seemed to have an attitude about this as if we were bothering her for mentioning it. They made a big deal about it and at that point, my husband was tired of explaining why this is a problem. The only reason I am adding one star is because we left an item behind and she did keep it until I could return to get it.

This is located in a rather sad block of Santa Monica Blvd in West Los Angeles, home to a few other restaurants. We had returned from a trip to South America recently and were curious about how food in the US measured up. Qusqo styles itself as a Peruvian restaurant but I must admit that the resemblance ends there. Though a Friday night, we were the only customers, with a forlorn couple checking out the menu and leaving and one lone soul entering the restaurant merely to use the facilities, later scarfing down a bottle of beer on the patio before leaving. We soon found out why it was so deserted. For one, the server did not seem to be too familiar with the menu, claiming that the causas had fresh tuna when indeed they had tuna salad (as stated on the menu, and actually not too bad). The chicha looked and tasted like cheap sangria rather than the hearty semi-fermented thick, cloudy, corn beer that we had experienced while visiting the Sacred Valley, In general, the food was a pretty sad facsimile for Peruvian cuisine, with added concerns about the shabby, worn, and dare I say it dirty-appearing tableware and utensils.

Make sure you stop by when you're in the area! Beautiful art inside and outside and authentic dishes that'll change ya life. I'm hyped every time I have Peruvian food and this spot ain't gonna disappoint ya like your last relationship may have. Stay eatin' bruh!

Very disappointed. Not our first time eating vegan Peruvian Food. Their website oversold their vegan options. The portions were very small and had minimal vegetables. The noodles dish had 2 thin strips of bell peppers, and some purple onion pieces. The same with the fried rice, mainly rice with soy sauce. Their bowl option was very basic beans and some vegetables. So sad because traditional Peruvian diet is very plant strong. This made us appreciate our local Peruvian restaurant, Inka Mamma, so much more.

I very much enjoyed this restaurant! First time here. Server was decently friendly, ambiance was lively and a bit eclectic, and the food was tasty--and there was a live group performing, and added, unexpected bonus for my party. Only star taken away because the bathroom could have used a bit of attention. Otherwise, a great visit!

The decor on the interior of this restaurant is so cute. I loved the eclectic assortment of pillows and twinkly lights. The service and food, however, left me disappointed. Our waitress was unbelievably slow. It took forever to get her attention even though there were only two other parties in the restaurant. We also had to remind her more than once for basic things like water, the bread basket, and hot sauce. The food was alright. The ceviche was so sour. The fish was cooked well but it was a little difficult to eat because of the tartness. I loved the chicha drink. I'd recommend! It's very sweet, almost nectar-like. I got the parilla plate with steak. The meat was so overdone. It took me an hour to chew each bite. The rice and beans were not impressive. The plantains were GREAT. I also tried the saltado de pollo. The chicken was cooked better than my steak was. And the sauce was pretty delicious. But the French fries were soggy and flavorless. If I were to come back I would stick with a saltado just for the flavor of the sauce.

Like many mom and pop, whole-in-the-walls, hidden gems, etc...Qusqo Bistro is one for the history book titled Best of Los Angeles Eateries. With completely vegan options and meals for our carnivores, the flavors can't help but to explode in every mouth with every bite. Ambience is everything...and like many staples of LA culture, there's room to improve upon greatness. Check in for the rolling community events every now and again. Get out of your home into the Qusqo's. You won't regret it.

Just DRIVE ON BY. One star is too generous. Nothing served to the table looked or tasted fresh. Some of it smelled too old to be reheated and served. Tables, glasses, plates and cutlery were all stained... The poor quality of the food was only eclipsed by the bad attitude of the staff. NOT WORTH THE WAIT OR MONEY. Ceviche was old with hardened exterior - it was cooked or steamed fish refrigerated served up covered with lemon water lacking any flavor of salt, pepper, parsley, rocotto or limón. Served up in water stained, sad margarita glass on a similarly stained plate with a few onion slices and kernels of stale toasted corn around the stem. Very unappetizing and the taste was in line with the presentation... it was sent back... Lomo saltado was minuscule in portion and left a weird aftertaste, whatever spice was used was not cumin. Sent salmon bowl back - salmon had been deep fried more than once - looked and smelled off - I couldn't get a fork through it. The staff argued that salmon is like that and there was nothing wrong with it ... Peruvians/Cusqueñas I was with were embarrassed and angry.... If you are looking for Peruvian food this is NOT the place - there are better choices than this. The bill at the end had different and higher prices than the menu for drinks.... Seems like an issue for the city.... the pandemic was offered as the reason for everything...

Went back to my favorite Peruvian spot Food was great. My faves: Ceviche, lomo saltado and causa Fave drinks: sangria and chicha Service was friendly as always. Ambiance is so cute. It feels like Peruvian Valentine's Day and the art changes with different artists. Always a fan.

THIS IS NOT REAL PERUVIAN FOOD!!! We are authentic Peruvians and for starters the food was a joke. Ceviche was cooked in WATER with some lemon and fish was hard and old. We found hairs in our food. Mariscos were hard and had Mexican NOT Peruvian chilies. We waited over one hour to receive our food and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant when we got there. Dishes were dirty. Table was filthy. Very disappointing.

I am Sooooo Happy Qusqo Bistro is OPEN!!! I didn't realize how much I needed Peruvian Food in my life! It may be Take-Out for now, but the Amazing Flavors & Warm Hospitality was Definitely still there! Welcome Back!

Saw that this place had 3 stars but it's hard to get Peruvian food wrong so i gave it a chancre. It is definitely worth those 3 stars. There's a lack of flavor in every dish. Ceviche needs a lot more flavor, it tasted very watery and I don't know what fish was used but it didn't taste right. Lomo Saltado was really cold, and also lacked flavor. Tuna causa was decent, i'll give it that.

I paid $21 dollars for the lomo saltado special that comes with a salad and plantains and a drink. Did not receive the salad or plantains. Their lomo saltado with out salad and plantains cost $13. I was charged $21 plus doordash fees plus tip to ultimately receive the $13 plate ridiculous! Not ordering from this place again. Also, the steak was super tough and hard to chew..PLEASE CHECK orders properly before you send them out! NOT FAIR to pay customers

They have the BEST authentic Peruvian cuisine. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of amazing Peruvian dishes. I ordered the Peruvian shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries. Their cucumber mint sangria is also to dieee for. The meal was DELICIOUS and I'm already planning my next trips backs so that I can try everything on the menu! This place is perfect for groups, casual date nights, or even a solo date. 10/10 would recommend!

It was the worst thing we had ever eaten. My boyfriend and I ordered the lomo saltado and ceviche. No flavor what so ever. The meat from the lomo was dry and tasteless so was the rice and potatoes. With the lomo saltado came with a bag of salsa. The restaurant really needs to invest in some containers because a bag with one tablespoon of sauce was embarrassing. The ceviche was cut into huge chunks and I honestly think $12 for the amount of ceviche I got was such a rip off. When I received my plate I asked if it came with chips or tostadas and the waitress said no so my boyfriend and I went across the street and bought some from a taco vendor and let me tell you those tortilla chips were the only thing with flavor we ate that night.

Place is super cute! I actually came here for a Paint Nite and not the food, so I guess that is something to be aware about if you are coming here just for the food. Paint Nite here was nice, the instructor was super fun and good and would definitely recommend.

Lovely hidden gem in Santa Monica st in LA! I love it my new favorite Peruvian food the food is amazing the menu is lovely they have a lot to choose from. My favorite was the steak with papas & arroz con leche just hits different. The arroz con leche it was my favorite dessert it hit home. It's the best I've had. The drinks were so good & refreshing. If your around the area stop by it's a Latina owned business. The owner is super sweet. Stop by if you love exploring food & Peruvian food.

Arrived right at opening time, server/ owner? Was very genuine and answered all our dumb questions fully. Delicious tasty offerings. We all had different orders; I'd love to go again and try different types of food and drinks. Our friends we time challenged so we needed to leave instead of enjoying the music and dessert.

Just had dinner there with my 3 year old daughter. The food was so delicious. My little picky eater loved the chicken bites and arroz con pollo! And we topped it off with the alfajor cookie and ice cream! Delicious with wonderful service. The cute decor kept my daughter entertained too.

I used to think this place was a great place to get a somewhat healthy meal if you're in the mood for Peruvian cuisine, but now after having been to several other Peruvian spots I think it is pretty average. The food is not the reason for my lower star rating; it's the service. It has always been unbelievably slow every time I come, even the drinks take forever to come out if you come for paint or plant nite. The most recent time I came will probably be my last because of the issues. I ordered yucca fries and the rustic salad with shrimp for some protein. The yucca fries were a disappointment - they were very small pieces of what seemed like stale yucca; very hard to chew which was surprising for the size of the fries and the portion was so small you couldn't even consider it an appetizer for one. Right when we were brought them we ordered another one because it was so small, but we're never brought any more! Honestly, that ended up being fine because they weren't good. My salad came out like an hour after ordering and had fried and fresh corn all over it; the menu did not list that was on it and I avoid corn so I had to send it back. For the addition of shrimp, they brought like two chopped up pieces of shrimp - what was the point of adding protein? After a while they brought my salad out again and it still had fresh corn in it! It looked like the same exact salad I sent back with pieces picked out! Obviously, I returned that as well. They offered for me to order something else from the menu instead of actually fixing the salad; I was fed up at that point and didn't want to wait another hour for a mediocre dish so I left without eating. After all that, I'm not planning to return.

The place is cute, with the rustic decor and the outdoor seating. I only wish the food matched. We ordered the shrimp and chicken tacos, and the beef skewers. The tacos had no flavor, the skewers were better. The happy hour drinks were good, the Mango Mamba was tasty. I wish the food had more of the grill taste and more seasoning. They were so bland. I have not tried anything else but going by that, I would just come for drinks. The lighting on the art pieces could be better, it was kinda dark and you could not really see them on the gallery side.

Any native Peruvian can taste the difference between authentic cuisine and American replicas. Thank God the owner, Lucy, is a TRUE Peruvian woman and infuses the right Aji sauces, spices, flavors, and textures into every meal. Its a cozy and colorful restaurant on the corner of Santa Monica blvd and Barry Ave. Perfect for first dates, blind dates, date night, food novices, families, tourists, locals, artists, and humans in general. I highly suggest the Sangria pitcher and Palta Rellena con shrimp ( Avocado stuffed with shrimp ). P.S. The portion sizes aren't small, they're just compact. Plenty of food to go around.

People that have never traveled to Peru and are not peruvian don't know that their food is at most mediocre and far from the actual Peruvian dishes. As a Peruvian and foodie, I'm embarrassed that this restaurant sells food labeled as Peruvian. Time and time again is a disappointment. Tasteless, sloppy presentation and the plates are far from what the actual Peruvian dishes are. There are actual peruvian restaurants out there.

I came with a group for a late night dinner since it was open. We opted to sit outdoors because, frankly, the inside smelled so, so bad. We probably should have left at that point. The arroz in the arroz con pollo was bland, undercooked and the whole dish was very underwhelming. I added some hot green sauce to give this dish flavor which it was lacking. The chicken was also rubbery. I wondered if I was going to get food poisoning, which is the last thing you want to be thinking at a restaurant. I am confident I could make it better at home even though I've never made it before. My friend ordered the arroz chaufa which was so salty. People seemed to enjoy the shrimp dish, though. The sangria was good but the rest of the experience does not warrant a return visit.

Awesome food with some great options. Vegetarian friendly with lots of options. Service staff exceptionally friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable. Definitely an addition to my regular dining location list.

I came here with my friend because it was a part of the off the menu program! I tried the Lomo Saltado Tacos and they were so good!! The meat itself was very chewy and we could tell the people took time to grill the steak! The lady serving us was very kind, and the overall atmosphere of the place was very nice!!

This is a great Peruvian place in the westside and I'm not sure why it's only three stars here on yelp. I had Lomo Saltado and a daily lentil soup and both were fresh and appetizing. The takeout service was great too. This is a nice place on the side of santa monica blvd and I wish I could dine in there given the cozy interiors.

This isn't somewhere I would normally choose to eat so I was excited when my friend decided to have their birthday dinner here! First off, parking is limited to metered parking and side streets so come prepared to search. Unlike other reviewers, we did not have any trouble with the waitstaff. Our waiter was very prompt and attentive even when dealing with our group of 12! That being said it was a little later in the evening and the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered the Lomo Saltados and was a little disappointed because the meat was very tough and overcooked. The flavor was good, nothing too exceptional. My friends who had had peruvian food before got a variety of dishes from the Arroz Chaufa, Tallarin, ceviche, etc. all felt similarly about their dishes. Good, but not amazing. The restaurant is decorated very cute and cozy. The experience was fun, however I do not feel the need to return.

Absolutely one of the most disgusting, and most awful restaurants I have ever eaten at in my entire life! Just HORRIBLE! If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. None of the dishes had any kick whatsoever. Food was served very cold, and tasted as though it was reheated from left overs that they had from the night before. To make things worse, the sparkling water that I had ordered was totally flat as well. Definitely was expired, but what do they care. Finally, the atmosphere totally SUCKS! It was very depressing, dark, gloomy, and cold. Would NOT recommend to anyone!

There are many Peruvian spots on the west side, but very few are trendy, spicy, flavorful, and personable. I love this cozy spot because the owner goes out of her way to make fresh ChiCha Morada, zesty ceviche, and hearty soup. It's impressive that this place has been around for so long. I highly recommend the Palta Reina, Chaufa Vegetariano, and Lomo saltado.

WARNING MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD NOT PERUVIAN FOOD. I am a Peruvian and this restaurant should never claim the name Peruvian . This is a disgrace to my country, family, heritage and reputation of the top tier cuisine, service, hospitality, hygiene , and presentation that Peruvians strive to with their cuisine and work ethic. Simply, the food is not Peruvian. Secondly, the service was horrendous. We waited for over and hour to get our meal with major complications in between. We asked the waiter about the food and she answered "I don't know I only work here". Then, once the food came there was clumps of hair in the meal, presentation was sloppy and the fish tasted old. Unfortunately, my Peruvian father was sick after the meal and I felt awful that he had to succumb to this while visiting me. Next, the table was filthy upon arrival. This should not be happening ever especially during Covid. We had sanitizing wipes and did one swipe on the table and the cloth was coated in dirt...this is a HUGE health hazard. The cup that was given to my mother had grease stains all over it and didn't drink it, we compared it to the clean cup and as you can see this cup was never washed! Lastly, on the door it says they accept master cards and visa. My dad paid with master card and the waiter returned and said "we do not accept master " even though it was on the door. My father had to go withdraw cash and venture out into an area he has never been to before. Apx. 15 min after my dad left , which she knew the situation, she came back and said we actually do accept master cards. So my dad withdrew and ventured out for NOTHING!!! This is shockingly unprofessional! All in all this is the worst service I have EVER received , IT IS NOT a representation of Peruvian food or culture, and most importantly this is a HUGE health hazard.

I love this spot! Whenever I'm missing Perú, I come here for some nostalgia-satisfying comfort food. I particularly love the ceviche, soups and Arroz Chaufa, which take me right back to the staff meals we got in the hotel/restaurant I worked at while living in Máncora. I worry about this place a lot, given the pandemic, and hope it makes it through. It's so hard to find true Peruvian food here, this place and it's owner are neighborhood gems and should be protected at all costs!

Like many people say, the service is incredibly slow. The waitstaff takes forever to come to your table, and you have to wait a long time for the food to come out. That being said, I like a lot of the food here. If you want lomo saltado, they do it well. They have a lot of great appetizers to share with your table. The fried plantains and yucca are my favorites. I'm not sure if they have sangria pitchers - sometimes they say they do but sometimes they say they don't do it anymore (it's on their menu). The restaurant itself is easy to find and is very cute. They have art from local artists for sale and bright decor. It's a great place to meet up with friends and share some appetizers and a pitcher of sangria. Maybe not a great place if you're in a rush.

This place is seriously amazing I moved to LA from nyc and I miss my Dominican food! I was surprised to find this gem! I got experience new flavor and some items reminded me of home ! The yucca Fries and friend chicken Yumm! They've also got this traditional Peruvian drink called Chicha !!! It's amazing and full of nutrients (I'll deff try to make it at home) ! Also the service was amazing Lucy, I'll be back

From other reviews I wasn't expecting too much but being close and a fun cuisine I still wanted to try it. Boy am I glad I did! The food was really good. Happy hour I suggest beer over the sangria. The sangria is tasty but I think the beer is a bit of a better deal. We were there when they were changing the artwork. So we got to see two different set ups which was fun!

I'm conflicted about this place. I really, really want to love it but every time I go there something is just off. Usually it's the service, which is almost always slow and inattentive, often requiring me to go up to the kitchen/bar area to get the server's attention. This is especially frustrating when the food doesn't come out correct, because it can easily take 10 minutes from that point just to get someone to do anything about it. That's happened several times. The food comes out pretty slow too, considering the fact that I've been the only customer in the dining room one more than one occasion. The yucca fries are usually good, but it seems the portion has gotten way smaller in the past few months. Expect like 6-8 1-inch pieces, maybe enough for an amuse-bouche for one, but certainly not as a real starter for two (or even one). I usually get the Lomo Saltado, and the taste is always on point but the steak itself is pretty tough about half the time. Overall, if the place improved the service and was more consistent it'd easily be 4 stars. In its current form though, I'd head elsewhere for Peruvian on the Westside.

If you're looking for an intimate Peruvian corner to swoon your lover on a Friday night, Qusqo is the place. Check out this West L.A. local spot to quench your thirst for chica morada or to satisfy that craving for your mom's Aji de Gallina. Great place for cozy conversation, artsy atmosphere, and spicy music.

To be honest, I must have driven by this place (located on the Corner of Santa Monica Blvd & Barry Ave) over a million times! It always looked closed. And it was......Well, Only during the Day! What I discovered was it was Only Open for Dinner! I finally got the opportunity to go by and I was pleasantly surprised. Although it isn't perfect Peuruvian Cuisine, it was Very Tasty and a Pleasant Experience. The Seafood Dishes I ordered were both cooked perfectly, not overly, not salty. And Yes...Very Fresh! What I truly appreciated was the opportunity to eat in peace. No long lines (try driving down Sawtelle Ave.) The server was right on point. She did not keep asking "Are you OK?" or "Did you need anything?", "Can I get you something else?" Well, you get the point! I eat out a lot and can only compare my experience to the overpriced & pretentious restaurants in the West LA area. Many of them are good, but have become very pushy. They want you "in & out" ASAP! My Qusqo Bistro experience was like eating dinner at someone's home. The Manager was pleasant and gracious. If you want to chill, eat great food and want a different experience, give Qusqo try. I always recommend ordering a couple of different dishes. One of their specialties and the dish you gravitate to on the menu. You won't be disappointed!

Horrible service, the food tasted old and dry, Like it was reheated from a few days before. They take forever to serve you. Wouldn't recommend.

Very authentic. It taste like a home cooked meal your abuelita or tia would make in Peru.
