Went here yesterday night - delicious! Service was fast & friendly, and food came quickly. Delicious, great portions & awesome neighborhood pub vibes. Would come again!

Their pizza used to be good. Today I ordered a chicken lady and my friend ordered a Mediterranean. Both tasted gross. They loaded too much low quality cheese and not much flavor. The ginger salad we got last time was delicious though.

The smokehouse burger and the blueberry lemon daquri were pretty good and filling. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

Bottomless mimosas for $15 was my favorite of course, but the food was great too! I got the chicken and waffles & will definitely go back for them again soon. The dish has fried chicken thigh in between huge pieces of cheddar bacon waffles, all covered in sausage gravy. So good! Definitely recommend going for brunch, awesome atmosphere as well.

We were really excited to try this spot and it was a bit of a disappointment. The waiter was effecient but he was not friendly at all. The French onion soup was cold, the brussel spouts were deep fried but also arrived cold. The sandwiches and breakfast burgers were good. Excellent bloody Mary and decent wine prices. Just wish the waiter would smile.

Excellent service. Comfortable outdoor seating. The quality of the dishes varied quite a bit in our party - some were quite good, and some were mediocre. The dishes that were freshly cooked, like steak, were a bit more appetizing than the ones that were pre-prepared, such as roast chicken. Certainly will go back.

Amazing all around! Our server was lovely, her name escaped me, but she was so friendly. The cheese curds are a must!

Found this place by chance through Google maps. I believe our server was Jazzi - who did a great job! Very friendly and the food came very quickly.

Such a great place for quality food and great specials. I can't wait for their mole chicken and mole pizza to come back - they are special features over cinco de mayo.

We came for Sunday brunch. I was worried it would be loud, but I was happy that while there are several TV's on the noise level wasn't bad. We started with mimosa, which are served in large glasses for $7. A total surprise which we loved. We had the omelette of the week, the large biscuit, the potato pancakes and the huevos rancheros. The service was super good and we were amazed the food came out so quickly. The portion sizes are monstrous. OMG. The omelette easily ad 3 maybe 4 eggs. It wa fluffy and folded into it was bratwurst slices and diced peppers and onions with a cheese sauce and crumbled bacon and more bratwurst slices. The potato cakes were wonderful and there were two large cakes. The flavors were wonderful with the giardinere really made it special. Nice and crispy. The huevos was on two tortillas each covered with refried beans, guacamole, nice fried egg and pico di gallo. The biscuit was huge as well. We'll definitely be back.

Awesome burger! Definitely one of the best I've had in recent memory. The price is a little steep, but you won't be hungry afterwards. Each burger is thick, comes with generous toppings, and pairs well with fries. Orders seem to come quickly, too. There's also a good beer selection here for those who enjoy alcohol with their burger. If the weather is nice, it's a great feeling to have a beer out in the patio.

This is my first time coming to this part of Rogers Park in a long time. I was surprised to see the local shops have blocked off Jarvis street and created a really nice outdoor patio. I came here for happy hour cause I needed something quick to eat. I ordered a house red wine and the Happy Hour burger. The burger came out super quick. The service was great, and the music was awesome. I plan to go back to try their other menu items.

Let me start by saying it is not easy to impress me with burgers. Everyone does them and you really have to be extraordinary to be worth the price of dine in burgers. This place doesn't do anything to impress. Granted I just had the standard burger but there was no lettuce and tomato and nothing to really distinguish this burger from any other. And I don't really *love* burgers. So why did I order it? Because nothing else on the menu seemed worth the price either. The tots were just tots but way too salty. They had a nice setup for valentines day with some specials that seemed a bit better of a deal only I don't drink alcohol and it included wine. Just seems like the kind of place trying to be hip, and maybe they are but I'm never impressed by hip, I'm impressed by quality food or exceptional service which I didn't necessarily find here, unfortunately. This may seem negative or scathing but it's not. It was decent enough, just not enough where I'd personally come back. Others may disagree.

Great local place with positive ambiance and vibe. Knowledgeable staff with great food and beer selection. Overall one of the best bars in Rogers Park that you need to visit. Ziveli!!!

New menu items at R Public house! You have to get the spicy chicken sandwich. The flavors just dance on your tastebuds! It's sweet, salty, spicy and a delicious mess! Fish and chips are tasty and the breading to fish ratio is perfect and not soggy. The service was great, the staff is super kind here and the music makes it all a good time!

Cool little neighborhood bar and grill located by the Jarvis station with good drinks and food. It's a place that can get crowded, but has a nice patio. R Public House is one of the places to go as soon as you get off at this CTA station. A lot of common bar food and some not as much. There's a good amount of healthy options. After doing a few things around here, we came in for drinks and also ended up getting food. It's about $12 or more for one of the better cocktails, so prices are the only complaint about here. The most interesting one was the Cinnamon Mule. It sounded good and it was certainly. This was made with Cock N Bull ginger beer, Dashfire cinnamon bitters, and whiskey. It had a bite. The food sounded too good to pass up. Each of us got the vegan friendly option, the Impossible Burger. It's $17, which was the only thing I didn't like. This was a pretty big burger, so it made up for it mostly. For those traveling by the CTA trains, get off at Jarvis. It's just across the street. The parking sucks, making it a good idea using the public transportation.

Love that they have a huge section of vegetarian options and bottomless mimosas. They also have a nice big patio area. Service was friendly and laidback. They were out of the vegetarian chicken and waffles which was a bummer but a reason to return. Definitely ate too many starters. The biscuit with honey butter was delicious as was the giardiniera pancake.

Sun Jul 28: really bad scary male sports drunks overtook the bar. it felt threatening to be there. if you go, don't dine inside - really terrible experience. my partner told me: "don't look at them, they may react and come after us" The drunks were literally screaming at each other. It was a very unpleasant environment. One of the screamers pretended to be an employee, asking us what we wanted. As gay white males, we did not feel comfortable or safe. we will not be back. food was fine. Server was excellent. Many other dining options close by that don't allow this kind of threatening ambiance.

Friendly neighborhood pub, lots of special events. Always enjoy the outdoor dining. Food can be uneven, but I keep returning. The owner is nice.

This place is pretty much our "go to" spot on the weekends. The staff is great and the food is great too. You see the same faces so that should tell you something.

Hidden gem in Roger Park area. Great spot for drinks & food. YES, they do have happy hour special everyday. I ordered the caramelized bacon- goat cheese burger, kimchi fries and fried mac & cheese (YUMMM)! Ask for the new drink, still haven't posted in the menu. Based on Rye whisky- apple flavor & French martini.

This is another long standing establishment for Rogers Parkers. The place is inviting in and around it. Come thru have a meal or and drinks. Staff is super nice

I visited R Public House last week and has an absolutely fantastic experience! They have a lovely outdoor patio but we opted to sit inside - they have a lot of bar space and some nice tables. We started with their fried pickles with their Chicago dog aioli ... no words to describe how amazing that aioli is!!!!!!!! I ordered more for my main course which was the mushroom and Swiss Impossible burger. The toppings were plentiful and the burger was perfectly cooked. I tried the coleslaw which was delicious. The service was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I loved their bloody Mary's and dessert cocktail options! We will definitely be back to try more of their menu including their pizzas which look amazing!

This place really surprised me from the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was exceptional. Literally can't think of one complaint. We tried the bacon wrapped dates, kimchi fries, smokehouse burger, and the fish and chip sammie. The drinks were also so good and strong. We tried quite a few cocktails. Overall, don't skip this place if you're in the area.

We love going to R Public House. Great for after work dinner and drinks. It's in such a cute quiet part of Rogers Park. The food and drinks are so yummy. They always have interesting seasonal cocktails. A burger or the fish and chips are always my go to here. The staff there is incredible and so friendly. Great service.

Outdoor seating on closed-off Jarvis St. was very nice. On Friday Sep. 1 at 8pm, no wait for a table. Our server was nice, knowledgeable, and prompt. Food was OK. Both the steak sauce and the salad dressing were too sweet. I wish that the menu had a larger choice of vegetables. The NY strip steak was cooked rare, as requested; it was a bit tough and lacked flavor - typical of most 21st century American beef. Fries were good. My vegan partner liked their "Impossible" burger with mushrooms and onions. I wish that the menu had a larger choice of NON-craft beers; the single one was Miller Lite, which I do not like. I've never had a craft beer that I liked as well as my favorite, which is factory-brewed Dos Equis, with Stella and Beck's close behind.

This is our new local bar since we have moved to Rogers park. Their food is phenomenal and it's just a great place to go to meet your neighbors. They have several events and their patio is convenient if you have a dog. They even have a dog menu. The service is great from the greeting process to getting your food. Everyone is so welcoming and it's just a nice vibe. The burgers, shareables and the pizza are all so amazing. If you're ever in Jarvis square area of Rogers park you have to check out this spot.

R Public has gone downhill and it's a shame. I hadn't been in awhile and was happy to see that Jarvis is now blocked to traffic and the businesses have been able to extend their outdoor seating. I was not impressed with the food. They only serve brunch until 2:00 so I couldn't order the burger I wanted. I got a brunch burger instead. If they can cook that I'm not sure why I can't just get a regular burger. Anyway, I can live with that. What bothered me was that the $18 brunch burger was a very small patty. For $18 I definitely expect a thick burger. I asked for it to be rare and it was medium well. The potatoes which come with it are not good. So sadly I think this will be my last time coming here.

I don't want to eat my food and listen to a football game and when I asked why I have to listen to the game the bartender just shrugged her shoulders! Just because some regular at the bar wants to listen to it !! And the food was mediocre, used to be really good but definitely has gone down.. won't be back

Always a solid neighborhood spot!! Been going here since I was a teenager, the pizzas are always great and brunch is solid - great bottomless mimosa deal!

We came here for brunch. I got the cheesy potato skillet which was tasty. Dining companion got the huevos rancheros which she enjoyed. Food came out quickly, service was decent too. Overall, good and I would go back but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

High energy atmosphere and great food. We got the pretzel bites and cheese curds for appetizers. Then my sons both had burgers and my wife and I shared a pizza - all of it was fantastic.

Solid local place with good food, great patio, and excellent service. If they're full, you can order walk-over delivery to the Tavern two doors down, which has common ownership and equally great service.

Nice outdoor seating to enjoy the food and drink on a nice day in Rogers Park. We had the pizza and it was delicious. The staff are young and energetic and they are well trained

The food is bar food but good bar food. I had the bacon wrapped dates and my spouse had the French onion soup. We shared and both was good. We ordered the house cheese burger and pan fryer New York strip. Both was quite tasty. The server was very attentive. It was a bar what can I say.

Good food & dog friendly. Nice beer selection, both bottle & draft. Jerk chicken was good & spicy. There is plenty of outside seating. Waitstaff is attentive.

Great spot for brunch with outdoor seating area that spills into closed off street. Food was amazing and the portions are big enough to share. There is a nice selection of drinks. Will be back outside of brunch hours to try out items from the regular menu.

Had a wonderful brunch on this lovely Chicago Sunday morning! We were a party of six dining outside and everyone ordered something different and each enjoyed their selections. I had the shrimp and grits with eggs - delicious! I sampled from the sausage gravy and a skillet, which were both also good. We were well taken care of by our server, and they easily accommodated dividing up the bill at the end. Great spot and we loved being able to dine Al fresco!

This place is fantastic. We ended up in this part of Jarvis Square after a dance class. Thanks Turn it up!!! They were swamped but the cook got the food out pretty quick. I would give this a 4.5 stars since consistency in meal size was off. One of the girls ordered spicy chicken biscuit, however they gave her only a few potatoes. When I say a few, I mean like 5. She was really bummed. My meals was fantastic. I got the BLT breakfast. I also got to taste the biscuit since my friend since she was doing low carb. I would go back just for the biscuit. Drinks here were good. I had the pomegranate paloma and the Pinot Grigio. Others got the bloody mary and they were happy.

Good burgers, quick service, very pleasant ambiance with a nice and low key vibe. Really good fries actually now that I think about it.

Visited this restaurant awhile back. The gluten free bread seems a overpriced, but my group was thankful to have the GF option. I had a special request on my burger that was missed, but overall tasty spot for a burger.

Normally, I'd have no reason carousing the side streets of east Rogers Park, but because my sister recently moved in this neighborhood, naturally I wanted to scope out the people's hot spots. A block down from her condo is a small stretch of Jarvis Ave off the Jarvis Avenue called 'Jarvis Square' with this bar and grill, a winery, a tavern, a cafe, as well as a great fast food joint across the street. Public House popped out with the sit in bar and grill persona that also had outdoor seating, so I've checked it out a couple times already; once for lunch and once for brunch. While the prices are a little more steep than I'd like em to be, the quality of the food couldn't be more right. Menu is fairly standard, but they have a decent range of dishes that works well with all parties: salads, burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. I got myself a buffalo chicken wrap because I have an infatuation with buffalo anything. Loved that it comes with fries/tots. Also it came with a spinach wrap which I especially loved more so since I didn't ask for one but I'm a huge fan of that. The healthier the better in my eyes. For brunch they had a lot of decent options, but I just went for a classic two eggs bacon potato and muffin combo. One thing I loved is that they provided a packet of Pedialyte in every condiment basket for all the folks trying to brunch it up after a long night. Ingenious! The food might have been nothing especially special, but the vibe of the place really resonated with me. It seems like one of those places that everyone seems to know each other, a place for love and togetherness. This is why I have a major love of neighborhood spots. These are places comfortable enough where you can just leave your worries and just chill out. Big fan of places like Public House, and I do intend on being one of those regulars for sure.

This spot is pretty lovely. I went for a Taylor Swift event and they really brought it. Turning this neighborhood pub into a immersive experience for the swifties. I would personally like to thank Grace, the wonderful bartender, for making beautiful and consistent cocktails all night. I believe the whole event was as her brain child and we are thankful. I didn't eat the food but everyone around me had finished nearly everything on their plates so I'm guessing it's pretty good. We are certainly going back on a non tay tay night. Thank you Grace!

Great neighborhood place in Jarvis Square. Service and food are outstanding . We stopped in for brunch and I had a awesome bloody and a chicken n waffles stack. My daughters had pancakes and an omelette and both loved their meal .

Ok Friday night is fish and chips night. Real flakey fish. Great batter. Unlike other places where it's hard to find the fish. Enjoy!!!

I was having a real bastard of a day yesterday and the absolutely wonderful staff got me through it. Tequila IS good for grief, and so is everything else on the menu for that matter. Previous trips have included several happy hour burgers, fried pickles, and frequent specials to rival anything that you could hope to find at a super expensive place downtown, and you'll be left thinking about whatever you had for days. For real, if you're having a good day, go. if you're having one of the worst days of your life, you should still go, because it will be made better by literally anything you find there. Thanks ladies,i'll be back again.

Amazing service from a tall guy, hand tattoo, beard. He said it was his first day, killed it. It was after 9;00, and one of the bartenders (woman) sat down in the middle of the bar to eat and have a drink.. the bartender (male) was looking for something, and expressed difficulty in finding it. The woman, got up... was clearly frustrated.. and slapped Him across the face so hard that I could HEAR it.. he was clearly shaken, but didn't do or say anything.. But I think that is absolutely disgusting behavior, and should be a fireable offense.

Food was delicious. This was a super random spot but the service sand ambiance was nice. There were people smoking at the tables outside.

Nice folks, good food, pleasant outdoor seating and football (REAL football like USWNT, Arsenal, Angel City). Gods all bless, what's not to like??? Oh, another plus is that they offer healthy meals for dogs too! Heaven! Way to go and keep up the wonderful work!!!

I ordered the Coq au Vin at R Public House yesterday just because I didn't want to order the usual hamburger, wings, or bar foods (which are very good here). I wasn't sure what I would get at a pub, but the coq au vin was outstanding. The sauce was dark and intense, with carrots, onions and meaty chicken. How could you go wrong when the Chef is a former chef at Kiki's Bistro?

This place is wonderful to have in the neighborhood. They show all soccer matches with sound! I have been here twice to watch soccer and they always have a good crowd. I have had the brunch quiche which they offer 2 types always and also have had the chicken sandwich. They have a wide selection of beer and cider. I want to come back and try different things off the menu. I was excited to see that they have a juicy lucy on the menu...stuffed burger with cheese. They have a cute outdoor area as well in the front so it is dog friendly!
