Don't choose between sushi and ramen at Ramen Nori—get both - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Lazy lunches that happen to involve Japanese food don’t get much better than Ramen Nori. This oak-covered spot specializes in both sushi and ramen, and their showing is so good that it’s hard to decide between the two—even though the mechanical noodle bowl at the entrance makes a good case for tonkotsu. Pesto swirls and parmesan melt together to elevate a bowl of creamy tonkotsu broth. Crackly pan-seared gyoza don’t even need a sauce dunk. And nigiri is sculpted with precision, wasabi dollop and all. Bellevue has no shortage of casual meals, but this is one to prioritize. Food Rundown Pesto Ramen Basil adds this bright vegetal quality to our old pal ramen, and the result is terrific. Clumps of parmesan cling to noodles, the broth has a welcome burst of freshness, and to top it off, the super soft, caramelized chashu is some of the best we’ve chomped. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Black Sesame Ramen Set aside the fact that this bowl of squid ink-infiltrated ramen looks like a Halloween prank. Black sesame and the aforementioned ink don’t influence its flavor more so than its color, but it’s still a delightful bowl of soup. We just prefer the pesto. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Agedashi Tofu There’s a nice panko crunch surrounding dashi-soaked tofu spears, and it’s a pleasant fried app. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Gyoza These craggy-crisp dumplings are extraordinary, with a filling so savory you can even skip the soy-based dip. (But don’t—it’s very good.) An abundance of coarsely chopped scallions adds an onion-y burst of sharpness, too. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Nigiri Excellent cuts of fish, an appropriate amount of slightly warm sushi rice, and a little dab of wasabi to mean business. We’re fans of the seared salmon and otoro. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Temaki You get your money’s worth with these handrolls—they’re practically overflowing with tasty toppings. The creamy scallop has a mustard-like zing, and the salmon avocado has a surplus of both. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Spicy Tuna Roll Spicy tuna rolls get lost in the shuffle sometimes. That’s not happening here. There’s a lot of stuffing in the mix, and it has a good kick. Get it. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo" - Aimee Rizzo

The 8 Best Gyoza In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Despite the tasty nigiri and pesto-swirled ramen that's coming out of the kitchen at Ramen Nori, we'd pop in simply for a platter of their pork gyoza. At first glance, everything looks predictable, with a craggy-crisp exterior, a little puddle of soy-based dip, and some lettuce frills for presentation's sake. But these dumplings are extraordinary, with a filling so savory you can even skip the dip. An abundance of coarsely chopped scallion add a nice onion-y burst of sharpness, too." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

good times

Google
Waited an hour. I came at happy hour, that’s the reason for the wait. It was also Friday night. The food was great, nice portions and flavorful. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was well laid out for dining. Plenty of parking easy to get to off of 520 will definitely come again .

First of all, I absolutely love the décor of this restaurant—cozy, comfortable, and quietly charming, making it perfect for family meals or catching up with friends! Secondly, their Crispy Roll is a must-try—crunchy texture with rich, layered flavors. The fresh sushi rolls are made with premium ingredients that simply melt in your mouth. The ramen noodles have the perfect chew, and variety of flavors that you can enjoy, and the broth is deeply savory with a balanced sweet-salty richness—highly recommend the Shrimp Ramen! This spot also children friendly, many types of dishes you can choose to your kids. The sake is also smooth and aromatic. Overall, this is a spot worth revisiting again and again—definitely a keeper!

Came at Saturday noon. Wait time is around 30 mins which is acceptable to me. The decoration and service is great. Waiters are polite and helpful. The food is ready fast given it is in busy hours. The food is 4/5. The sashimi on the Chirashi bowl is good but as the picture shows it is a bit hard to eat as you can only eat the fish first to be able to discover the rice. The pesto ramen is not recommended if you are looking for ramen. The soup tastes like some kind of creamy pasta. The noodle is also a bit undercooked. Curry katsu and fried calamari is good.

Google
I loved Ramen Nori in Bellevue! The black sesame ramen was rich and unique with amazing flavor, and the seared salmon bowl was fresh and perfectly cooked. We came on a Sunday at 7:30 pm and there was no line or wait so we got seated right away. Service was fast and we got multiple refills on water without having to ask. Great service and generous portions. Highly recommend!

Google
They have a variety of choices. Whatever you are with friends, kids or even just yourself, you can find the right food here. Our kids really enjoyed Curry Katsu, Crunchy roll and ramen. The ramen broth is super rich with tasty chashu, shrimp and wagyu. If you are sushi lover, you need to try Omakase, Chirashi Bowl and special rolls. Sushi is freshly made and delicious. The portion is large. Also, love their friendly and nice staff. Definitely come back for more food.

Google
Great food. Waited for more than 30mins. Black sesame ramen was special and delicious. Like the fried oysters too. Seared salmon bowl is good but pricy. We would like the sushi rice to be colder and stickier. Fried rolls is a bit too spicy for us. Overall we had a great dinner!

Google
Outstanding ramen and a truly authentic experience! The food here is absolutely great – a must-visit if you're a ramen lover. Beyond the delicious menu choices, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere genuinely feels like you've stepped into Japan. Highly recommend!

Google
Tonkotsu ramen was so good. Creamy, non-greasy broth that is delicious by itself and dances around on your tongue while the perfectly cooked al dente noodles provide the perfect chew and slurp. The firecracker roll was nicely done drizzled with just the right amount of sauce and roe with green onions providing contrast for the eyes and taste buds. The omakase was fresh and nicely presented. Will definitely come back again!

Yelp
We're in town for vacation and was looking for a ramen place for dinner for our last night here. Hands down best ramen we've ever had. Checking was easy and wait time was quick. Pretty chill spot. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food, great focus on service. We were seated quickly and the staff checked on us very frequently, also refilled our beverages without us asking. Good quality sushi, reasonable pricing. Also enjoyed the jazz music playing in the background.

Khloe C.

Yelp
The ramen tasted good and takoyaki was well done! Our server was nice and checked before placing our order. She also checked how we were doing after a while. The place was not bad, a little tight but we were able to fit our food on the table. Some things like tea were extra charge, other than that, i enjoyed my visit to Ramen Nori!

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for National Girlfriend Day! We came in and were seated within 5 minutes of placing our names on their online waitlist system near the entrance. Quality of seafood, meat, and broth was beyond our expectations. We ordered the seared salmon bowl, wagyu bowl, and wagyu ramen. The restaurant was busy, but surprisingly we were able to get seated quick, served at a reasonable time, and had an overall good experience. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place and (surprisingly) it was definitely worth the hype! They currently only take reservations for parties of 5+ but wait times on a Friday for party of 3 was about 20-30 minutes. Everything was super fresh and I definitely felt the quality and quantity fit the price point. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
10/10 Located in a plaza where there's plenty of parking. (Use Yelp to join the waitlist) Depending on the time you go, there can be a line outside. I came with my husband on a Sunday night around seven and we waited about 30 min for a table. 100% worth the wait. Use that time to view the menu. We had the Original Tonkatsu Ramen and the Black Sesame Ramen with several hand rolls and Nigiri . The Ramen broth was rich, savory and had the right amount of umami. The Nigiri was so fresh & buttery, every bite melted in your mouth. If you're into Sake..try the honey sake it was delicious ! I definitely will be coming back and recommend this spot for sushi and ramen lovers!!

Yelp
Food- *wagyu bowl was delicious, tender, fatty meat and fresh tender fish! Recommend! *salmon carpaccio good- but fell shy- I would have liked more ponzu and less Siracha. Fish was not as tender that day. * sesame ramen- soup broth was creamy and flavorful, and sesame flavor soft or hidden. The pork was too think and a bit chewy. Service- straight forward. We got there at 11:30am, on a Monday and restaurant was 1/2 full already- to me, testament of a good place, people come early! Ambiance- casual relaxed. Great place to meet a friend, causal date, or with family (did not see table larger than 6). Parking- plenty in a lot, but felt limited with all the other businesses around. Recommend- YES.

Yelp
No wait on a Thursday afternoon. Great interior! Come check out yourself, they have both ramen and sushi! The spicy ramen was not too spicy and just right for a good amount of flavor.

Yelp
Came here for lunch when it opened because we wanted to secure seats. This spot gets busy! I had the chirashi bowl and everything was very fresh and tasty. The presentation was great! Wish there was more fish and rice, omg the sushi rice was really tasty. My mom got the ramen and said it was solid Overall, a great spot to check out once in awhile. It's on the pricey side but everything was really good.

Yelp
The place was super cute and had such comfortable seatings. It was quite busy for a good reason so definitely put your name in early. The service was fast and helpful when you need them. They were super nice about putting a last minute order before they close. The food was amazing! I especially love how pretty and fresh they are too! I highly recommend the Spicy tuna chips and chirashi bowl. I would definitely go again

Yelp
Super cute restaurant. Booth seating is very nice. Ample parking out front! Servers are attentive. There is an ipad for the waitlist, but at 5:20pm on a Sunday there was no wait for 2 people. Ordered the salmon carpaccio and spicy red ramen. The spicy ramen was yummy and rich. The noodles had a good texture. I would pass on the salmon carpaccio next time. Would come again! :)

Yelp
Food was pretty good here and fair priced. Me and my friend both got a ramen and shared the nigiri lunch set. I got the black sesame ramen and it was good but honestly I think the regular ramen would have tasted better. The flavors were a bit too muted for my liking. However the lunch set was delicious. Nice thick cuts of fish and it tasted super fresh. No fishy taste at all.
google avatar

Cassandra H.

Yelp
The food came out really fast and the portions were quite large. I also feel like the fish to rice ratio was pretty good. I think the sushi deluxe dinner is quite worth it for its price. I think the texture of the seared salmon with the raw salmon in the seared salmon bowl was so nice and buttery and melted in your mouth; i think the flavor of the sear was slightly too smoky in a charcoal-y way but otherwise was really good. I really liked the eel and soft shell crab temakis; the scallop one was still good but didn't stand out as much to me. The interior of the restaurant is really nice!

Yelp
We tried both takeout and dine in and both were amazing. Great quality sushi and ramen. There is a queue to be waitlisted but goes quickly. Spacious bright and clean. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Overall the food was great, I was especially impressed by the honeycombs since it was my first time. Maybe a few improvements but Whew! It blew my mind.

Yelp
Came here during lunch on a Friday around 1pm, was seated right away after battling for a parking spot. The lot layout is a bit chaotic when it's busy in the plaza. The service wasn't over the top or anything special from this visit, we didn't really get checked in on till we were ready for check and it took me a bit to flag down someone for some things. It was overall a quick in and out lunch date. We tried: - Black Sesame Ramen 3/5 The broth was creamy and light, didn't really taste much black sesame and it wasn't very hot for ramen, felt just slightly above lukewarm. I think if it was hotter and had more umami to the broth it would be better, the chashu though was very tasty. Fat was melty and flavors were good. Noodles were okay overall. - Spicy Tuna Chips 4/5 For 5 pieces it was loaded with spicy tuna and the nori chips were nice and crunchy. Not bad for an appetizer for 2 people, would order again. - Classic Temaki / Hand Rolls 4/5 I got 2: Creamy Scallop with Tobiko & the Salmon Avocado The freshness was great and overall probably my fave from this whole meal bc it was what I wanted to come here for. Overall the experience was okay, we got the ramen first before appetizer and then the Temaki took the longest to come out, we had finished everything and waited on the Temaki to come. Since this was my first visit, I would def come back to try the chirashi bowls or premium Temaki/hand rolls - the menu is large, so it's hard to gauge from just one visit and a small order of things. There was a couple other unique ramen options that looked interesting and different from traditional ramen places that I would be down to try again with others and see if it's a better experience than this visit.

Yelp
I've made two visits to Ramen Nori on the Eastside. The first visit was a little chaotic with the long wait. More than a month later, it looks like the frenzy to try this new spot has died down. I got there 10 min before opening and was the first in line. I've mainly had sushi and the hand rolls. I really enjoyed the Salmon Dinner, which has 5 pc nigiri, 3 sashimi and a Salmon & Avocado Roll. I love salmon, so this really hit the spot. The handrolls are delicious too. They post at each table directions on how to remove the plastic cover from the nori. Service is friendly and welcoming. Food comes out relatively fast. Big bonus that it is in the same complex as the Mercury Coffee Bakery for those looking for coffee or something sweet post dinner.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised! This place has great portion sizes and the price was very reasonable! They are pretty good with kids and the general feel is very welcoming. The spicy ramen has a nice kick and the broth was not over powering. The black sesame was very surprising and had a good complex flavor. The service was really good and responsive. No pushing food items or rushing you out. Definitely would come again.
google avatar

Lilian X.

Yelp
There was a line waiting at the door before it opened. We got there right when it opened and was quickly seated. The black sesame had a thick tonkatsu broth, I didn't really taste the black sesame as much. The noodle was cooked well, had a bouncy texture but the pork was tough. The egg tastes like its mirin marinated rather soy marinade so it did lack in flavor (in my opinion). The spicy ramen was more of a numbing spice. Service was great! I have to come back to try their sushi.

Yelp
I probably saw only about 60-70% on what the hype and all the long lines for this place were about, to be honest. I got here with a friend at around 5:45pm on a Friday and didn't have to wait for a seat despite it being nearly a full house inside with a group or two waiting at the front for a seat; there's plenty of 2-person tables and some bar seating near where servers make your food. Also be wary of plaza parking during peak hours like on the Friday I went; it was very full nearby and it took me a bit to snag a parking spot. My friend and I decided to go all-out on the ramen and get their wagyu shoyu ramen and a shrimp tempura avocado temaki roll with cucumber. Ramen broth was delicious; I drank most of it after quickly finishing the noodles and the three pieces of wagyu beef. They do provide all the works like egg, wooden ears and bamboo shoots, but for $25 per bowl I'm not sure if it was worth it along with the temaki roll for $6 for one piece. I wasn't too full after eating, though that can be a good thing since I could order dessert from here or elsewhere if I wanted. I just felt like there could have been more from both my dishes. Environment is pretty noisy inside, and there were a ton of groups waiting to eat inside when my friend and I paid for our food about 45 minutes later. I would expect a long wait if you're going in a group of 3 or more since I saw at least two more 2-person tables available even when my friend and I sat down. I've seen others get and THEN recommend their wagyu seafood bowl, black sesame ramen and the chirashi salmon bowl, along with their sushi and other things. I probably missed out with my current order so I'm down to come back for the aforementioned dishes at another time.

Yelp
Had the samurai roll, chirashi bowl, edamame, chicken karaage. Fish was very fresh, super fast service! 10/10 would come again. The ramen looked enticing! Will try that next time !!

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice. The food is well seasoned and well presented! Really enjoyed it will def be coming back!

Yelp
Food was awesome. Service was pretty good though it was incredibly busy. Wish the venue was a bigger space bc it was so tight and we had a tiny table for the 5 of us. We ordered so much food: Spicy tuna chips (so good); Fried oyster; Agedashi tofu; Original ramen; Chicken katsu (prolly skip next time too tough); Grilled hamachi; Salmon dinner; Salmon nigiri; Eel avocado hand roll; and Matcha tiramisu Spicy tuna chips were so tasty that we repeated at the end. It was a good find and worth the wait.

Yelp
Ramen is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Waited 50 minutes to get seated on a Friday night for a party of 2. They use the Yelp waitlist system, so it was easy to track where you are in the line. Ordered the following: * Salmon avocado hand roll: Very good for the price! Loaded with salmon. I should've ordered a second one * Wagyu shoyu ramen: Very average and unimpressive. I did like the noodle texture * Seared salmon bowl: Solid for a casual eatery * Uni nigiri: Not worth it. Creamy texture, but lacked uni flavor...like creamy water? Overall, food was okay-solid for a casual everyday eatery. It's also not worth any wait more than 10 minutes

Yelp
Hit up this new spot Fri night. Place was packed and the line was long, so we had to wait 30 min. Since we had time, we reviewed menu while waiting. My son and I decided to go for the Wagyu chirashi bowl. Expensive ($48), but looked delicious. My wife had a huge lunch earlier, so only order a dragon roll. Once seated, we also ordered 2 softshell crab hand rolls for the table. Later on we ordered another social crab hand roll and a creamy scallop hand roll. For taste and presentation they get five stars. Everything was delicious and it looked so beautiful! However, they are very expensive for what you get. The wagyu chirashi bowl does have Uni and Toro plus two thin slices of wagyu. However, for the salmon they use Atlantic salmon, not local, which is weird for such an expensive dish. In the end it's not worth $48. The soft shell crab hand rolls were also very delicious. But again they use fake crab. For the price, they should use real crab lump meat (hint: you can buy large containers of it at Costco). My wife's dragon roll also was full of fake crab which at their prices, she was expecting real crab. So minus one star for overall value. Service was also mediocre. They seem to have enough people just not well organized. The annoying part was that they never came back to take the dirty plates away during the meal. So minus one star for service. In spite of the deliciousness of their food, we will not be back and it's simply too expensive for what you get.

Yelp
Soup was rich, but pork is a bit too fatty. Will come back to try something else another time.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
We had a party of 3 and needed to wait about 15 minutes at the prime dinner time in the weekend. The servers are very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is clean and quick to turnaround tables. We order a red, original and Toro. All were spot on. The noodles textures are just right mixed with the accompanying sides are perfectly crunchy. The only item to call out was that the toro was not consistent with the two pieces but app else great! Will return.
google avatar

Ariella N.

Yelp
I had the black sesame ramen and pesto ramen on separate occassions and loved both! The broth is rich and not too salty. This is our favorite ramen spot in Seattle so far. Their handrolls are very fresh and tasty as well. Personally love the soft shell crab handroll.

Yelp
Ramen Nori is the newest Japanese restaurant in Bellevue, taking over the space of where Kiku Sushi used to be after Kiku's owners retired this past year. Ramen Nori is the sister restaurant of Sushi Nori in Eastlake, Seattle. While both locations serve sushi and ramen, Ramen Nori has a larger selection of rolls whereas Sushi Nori has a larger selection of hand rolls (temaki). Both locations also serve Instaworthy chirashi bowls which I enjoyed during my last visit at Sushi Nori! Since taking over Kiku, the owners of Ramen Nori have updated the interior of the restaurant but kept the overall same layout as the original tenants. My mom and I grabbed lunch on a weekday at around noon, and we were seated right away. The restaurant was fairly busy, but not overpacked. After looking through the double-sided menu, my mom ordered the Lunch Special SUSHI & SASHIMI BENTO BOX ($20) and I ordered the Lunch Special SASHIMI PLUS ROLL ($21). Both dishes came with miso soup. The SUSHI & SASHIMI BENTO BOX came with rice, four pieces of California Roll, tempura shrimp and vegetables, two pieces of tuna nigiri, and two pieces of salmon nigiri. The tempura was crunchy lightly fried and was drizzled with tempura sauce. The fish was smooth and the rice was soft. The SASHIMI PLUS ROLL came with eight pieces of salmon avocado roll (or you could get California roll) and six pieces of Chef Choice sashimi which was tuna and salmon. The fish was fresh and this was more than enough food for lunch. The rice was also just right and the avocado in the salmon roll was perfectly ripe. Service was good, considering they were in the soft opening stage still. Our waiter was kind and we got our food quickly within 15 minutes after ordering. However, it did take a while for someone to bring us the check when we were done. I also wished they provided complimentary hot tea. Overall: 5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere TIPS: - Between 11:30am-2pm on weekdays (excluding holidays), they have lunch specials which include Nigiri or Sashimi plus Roll ($20-$21), Salmon Teriyaki or Sushi & Sashimi Bento Box ($20), and Ramen Combo (ramen + appetizer + soda) ($22). These all come with miso soup. - They also have Happy Hour from 5-6pm Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays) where you can get discounted appetizers, sushi rolls, nigiri, and drinks. - They are in soft opening mode still. They have a sign to please be patient as they figure out out the best operations and service. If you leave a review, they will give you a free soft drink (Calpico), which I hope to redeem next time I'm there!

Yelp
Overall, a decent place for a sushi binge. We ordered the salmon nigiri combo for $30, and nigiri combo for $28. Decent. You'll get full from the rice all around the rolls. Not too expensive, but definitely not cheap. Would want to come again and try the other rolls and see if those would be more enticing. Ramen's were decent for a "non-specialized" ramen establishment. But very small and pricey too because of that same reason. The Wagyu ramen broth was pretty bland, but my kids liked it. The three small pieces of Wagyu inside the ramen were really good tho, but not sure it's $25 good. Overall, I'm pretty content with this availability/choice opening up in the neighborhood. A good addition for a selection of not TOO expensive sushi. Service was really fast after you put in your order. Don't forget to get yourself on the waitlist during peak dinner hours as it can stack up quickly.

Yelp
On a Friday night there was about a 15 minute with a yelp waitlist. It is bright and a wood theme inside. Tons of parking in the plaza. The original broth was solid in flavor, creamy and rich without being too heavy. The noodles were the straight thin kind (personally prefer thick wave noodles). The char siu was thick and a bit too salty. Overall, decent ramen. The black sesame was good for the initial few bites, however got tiring quickly. The Karaage arrived after I finish my ramen which was not ideal. The breading and flavoring was closer to a Taiwanese fried chicken with five spice flavor. Some pieces were a bit stringy and dry. You can ask the server for chili oil and spices.

Yelp
New restaurant in town! Located in Bellevue, northup way, same complex as mercury coffee. Parking: plenty free shared retail parking Restroom: 2 individual gender neutral restroom Service: fast and friendly If you do review on yelp or Google, you'll receive a complimentary bottle of ramune. You can wait listed in yelp. We got there on Friday around 6:30pm. Saw a bunch of ppl. We only waited for 15min, pretty fast. We ordered: Wagyu seafood bowl - 2 pc sliced wagyu beef and sashimi pieces, over rice. Comes with a bowl of miso soup Spicy tuna chips - good amount of tuna on top of fried nori Black sesame ramen - thick broth, came with 2 pc of char siu Overall food is decent. Please do not compare this to kaizeki omakase sushi ok. If you plan to share, I don't recommend to sit on bar. Very narrow bar and no place to hang your purse or jacket. I kept dropping my purse on the floor. They were pretty busy, we waited for a while to get their attention for to go box and check. Restaurant is nice and clean. More for smaller group of ppl.

Yelp
Didn't have any expectations coming in but I was amazed by the pesto ramen! It was so good and flavorful, I will definitely be back to have it again. The service was also great and the vibe of the restaurant felt very calm and clean.

Yelp
The Wagyu bowl was beautiful and delicious! But for almost $50, I think it was definitely not the best value in Seattle. Ordered fried oysters and vegetable tempura as appetizers and it came after the entrees... and the tempura was cold coming out. For the katsu curry, the katsu itself was dry and the curry tasted like box curry. Overall, this restaurant is too expensive for the quality of food and the service while decent was very slow.

Yelp
Ramen Nori in Bellevue, WA, presents a compelling lunch experience. My recent visit highlighted its value, particularly the diverse offerings designed for a satisfying midday meal. I found the nigiri and roll combos to be an excellent choice for a lighter lunch at only $20! These selections offered fresh, skillfully prepared sushi, providing a taste of quality seafood with generous portions. Plus a miso soup. Service was very fast and attentive. And the environment is bright and spacious. Can't wait to try more next time!

Yelp
The ramen was ok to good. We also ordered the sushi, hand rolls and a hamachi collar. The sushi ingredients were fresh but not amazing. We ordered the king salmon roll, the spider and Cali. The collar was large and had lots of meat. The wait on Friday evening was about 40 minutes. Not sure if it was worth it.

Yelp
Decent fish, sushi rice was ok, unagi sauce on one of the rolls was a little much (we actually ordered a different roll but got this instead so double whammy). Fast service and nice happy hour deals. Good staple in & out meal but rating seems inflated. A solid 3.5 star not 4.5 star restaurant.

Yelp
- new sushi and ramen spot in Bellevue - We came here slightly before noon on Sat, and we were the first one here. Shortly two other groups came and we all went in at noon. The store kept most of the setup from kuro sushi, but I think they upgraded the lighting as it seems brighter(?). Room temperature water without ice were served quickly, and we ordered the original tonkatsu ramen for $16 and hubby got the red spicy ramen for $17. We also ordered a tempura mix appetizer for $11 as well. Hubby asked for firm noodles and I asked for less sodium soup. While they don't show it on the menu, it seems that they are able to modify them for us. I'm guessing they didn't want to put it on the menu to make things more complicated as they are actually more of a sushi place. Our ramen came right out after 5-7 min, and they were small but mighty. Mine came with woodwar mushroom, green onion, half soft-boiled egg, and two pieces of char-siu. I tried hubby's soup and it's way too spicy for me with a strong aftertaste kick, so I won't recommend it if you ain't a fan of spicy food. The tempura comes with 2 pieces of shrimp, a piece of yam, asparagus, broccoli, onion, and pumpkin. They were all delicious. Since I also left a review, they let me choose any soft drinks. I chose hot tea, and they got me a big pot of genmaicha that I couldn't finish with my husband xD. The price is on par with other ramen places in Bellevue, and the portion is similar as well. I do think their noodle portion is slightly bigger though. The char-siu was slightly thicker and more flavorful and fatty. When we left, the store was almost full. It looks like they have a good business these days. PS. Lunch specials are only available Monday to Friday! It looks like a lot of people want to order this on the weekend but they couldn't.

Yelp
Do I get to brag and tell you that I was the first ever customer at Ramen Nori? We happened to pass by and noticed the soft opening sign on the door and decided to check it out. Turns out, we're their first ever customers! That's probably as exciting as my life gets. The staff were so enthusiastic about their menu and explained to us all their options, including their favorites. We opted for the black sesame ramen and the pesto ramen, which are two unique flavors I have never seen in ramen before. So fun! They were so unique and delicious; we finished them both. There's lots of free parking in the lot and the space is clean and modern. Can't wait for their grand opening and wishing them the best on their new restaurant! Congratulations again.

Yelp
Ramen Nori is the new-ish Eastside cousin of Sushi Nori in Eastlake/Seattle. This location is in a strip mall area with plenty of parking, though not always in front. The restaurant seems to be authentic adjacent. The sushi staff are Mexican (not complaining, just stating the facts). The waitstaff is Chinese. Some folks are picky about such things, so fyi for those who cares. In general, the ingredients are legit; the preparations of one category could be different. The waitstaff is friendly, taking our orders and refilling our water. The interior is clean, bright, with that modern cleanliness Japanese vibe. The Food: Black Sesame (with Squid Ink) Ramen, $17 - 4 Stars A photo of this ramen is what lured me here. Both hubby and I ordered one. The broth seems to have a slightly sweet savory profile that I wasn't expecting (savory dominant, hints of sweet). Not complaining, it tasted good. The noodles have a pretty good chew, though we have had better noodles elsewhere in terms of freshness. (Side note: They have a pesto ramen also. That was too "adjacent" for this first visit.) Temaki (hand rolls) - 3.5 Stars These are big and well stuffed - good - but also made them rather difficult and messy to eat with pieces of fish falling off. My biggest complaint about them is that they aren't fully "dressed", which made them bland without adding soy sauce. Trying to lightly drizzle soy sauce using the normal soy sauce bottle is a challenge. They are visually please, so I am disappointed that they are not a homerun. I didn't hate them, but I didn't love the execution. Minus 0.5 stars. I probably won't order these again unless they change how they present these. My ask: Dress (i.e. season) the seafood please! The traditional cone shaped hand rolls are fully dressed. Crabmeat & Avocado, $7 - The krab has sodium since it is a processed seafood. In this case, it helped the temaki. Salmon & Avocado, $6 Toro & Pickled Radish, $17 (from the premium section) Creamy Scallops & Tobiko, $7 Seared Salmon, $8, Otoro, $17, nigiri - 4 Stars Both nigiri sets have good cuts of fish with the rice. Salmon Avocado Roll, $9 - 4 Stars Good seafood to rice ratio in this roll yielding a satisfying bite with each piece. Side note: They are offering a free soft drink when you write a review. See photo.

Yelp
Brand new ramen and sushi spot just opened in Bellevue! Located behind Mercury coffee off NE 20th St. We came on the second day of opening. We were greeted and seated instantly. Its clean, simplistic decor reminds me of Japan, only thing missing were the little baskets for your bags. The menu has quite a few offerings, from ramen to sushi and items in between. Although ramen is the namesake, we decided on the sushi and sashimi items. We ordered the Hamachi Kama, Salmon dinner and Wagyu Seafoood bowl. The dishes came out promptly. The Hamachi Kama was huge!!! A great option for an appetizer, it was lightly salted and broiled, and served with lemon slices and ponzu sauce. I had the Salmon dinner, which comes with 3 pcs of Salmon sashimi, 5 pcs of Salmon nigiri and a choice of Salmon avocado roll or Seattle roll, I opted for the latter. I was surprised at the portions! I struggled to finish it! The hubby ordered the Wagyu Seafood bowl, totally Instagram worthy! It has seared Wagyu beef, toro, scallop, uni, salmon, ikura, and egg yolk over sushi rice. The hubby devoured that dish! We enjoyed our time here and plan to return to try the ramen!!!

Yelp
Good food and a reasonable price in a clean and modern environment. This has been on my hit list for some time now, so glad to try out this small establishment. Only part of my experience that I did not care for was that we came around 1:45pm, they close between 2:30pm-5pm for a mid-day break. They mentioned that we could not order anything after our initial order, which made sense. But almost immediately after the food came, the server asked me to settle the bill. That was a bit off-putting for my experience. If you're going to take a mid-day break, at least give your customers the full experience if they arrived within your operating hours.

Yelp
parking was a bit tough. waited around 20 mins during dinner time. seated at the bar. food: - black sesame ramen: no black sesame flavor, ok - spicy tuna chips: gave you big portions, seaweed chips were a bit oily - waygu seafood bowl: server said to eat immediately as the wagyu gets cold fast, variety of seafood in bowl which was nice

Yelp
We came in 15 minutes after opening and the place is already packed. The food here is all pretty amazing and reasonably priced. The miso is very good, too!

Yelp
Went here for lunch due to the social media hype! I'd say their wagyu seafood bowl lived up to its hype! Their sesame ramen was also pretty good, not too sweet or salty. I wouldn't classify this place as an authentic high end sushi place, but more like a convenient place to get sushi for lunch or dinner. The workers all spoke Mandarin so it's not owned by Japanese. They also gave us the Chinese style one time use disposable chopsticks so I was a little thrown off by that bc the price and interior looks like a middle to high end restaurant but the chopsticks makes it look like a teriyaki joint.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious!! There are so many options that are each deliciously unique. The service is great, employees very friendly. The restaurant is very cute and specifically I love the moving ramen up front and the sign that says " Sad me +Ramen= happy me!" I would like to mention that we called in advance to the wait time and were pleasantly surprised with a quick 15 min. When we arrived an employee saved us a table! Overall an amazing place and would definitely recommend recommend,

Yelp
this place is cozy and casual, i ordered the seared salmon chirashi bowl and it came with miso soup which was yummy. the salmon is perfectly seared and of generous portion of each slice of salmon. the rice is also flavored on the sweet side, it was delicious even on its own. it's beautifully presented with a side of ginger and wasabi, and really filling. the sweet shrimp, however, i thought had a bit of a glutinous texture, but allowing it to soak in soy sauce made it bearable. overall the service and food was good.

Yelp
This place just opened recently, sometime April 2025. I am glad to have eaten here because the game is over for very good food. Our family is kinda picky with our choices of sushi places particularly chirashi. Ramen Nori did not disappoint at all. It was very good, very fresh, very good quality fish used. The chirashi is a whopping $45 a bowl - but you come out full, satisfied and very happy. We tried tempura, cucumber and avocado roll, $6. It was good. I want to try the other options they have on the menu. We did not try the ramen but will soon. Employees are very nice and pleasant, They are so welcoming. Great customer service. It is a small restaurant. It fills ups quickly but people order, eat and then leave. There are 2 top, 4 top tables. There is a counter in front of the sushi bar. I heard this restaurant has a sister, Sushi Nori by Eastlake. They do serve the same food. Love this place, will always be on my list to go for Japanese food.
