Ravintola Nolla

I was visiting Helsinki for a friend’s 40th birthday. We enjoyed a six course dining experience with wine pairing, and it was a real treat. Each dish was small but it was beautifully presented. Every course brought something different The wine pairing was also fantastic. It’s definitely on the pricier side but for the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the overall experience, it felt worth it. A great option for a special occasion.

If you are looking for a great gastronomic option in Helsinki, you simply must visit Restaurant Nolla. We opted for the long tasting menu with wine pairing, and I have to say everything was spectacular; every dish was a surprise, and the wines were perfectly matched. I loved knowing that they work with local products sourced within 100km, which adds incredible value to every bite. However, what truly made the evening perfect was the wonderful service from the staff and Albert. They make you feel right at home while you enjoy top-tier cuisine. A place I would return to a thousand times!

Nolla was one of the best meals we had in Finland! The staff (including Nina) were really friendly and helpful, and gave good drink recommendations to pair with our dishes. The deer tartare went brilliantly with the waffle drizzled with deer bone marrow. The sourdough pasta wasn’t really to our taste. For mains, the pike perch and roasted deer were cooked to perfection as well - the deer didn’t have an overly gamey or grassy taste unlike some other places we tried. Definitely recommend a stop here.

The restaurant features an amazing atmosphere, great stuff and attention to detail upong every moment of your arrival. We dined as 2, and choose the 4 course menu (1 vegetarian/ 1 standard) Starters looked great, we found it a bit like "tried to much" , the sourness and jalapeno didn't go too well in our thoughts, overall very ambitious but somehow lost a few marks as it didn't generate the best experience for us, also maybe just wasn't as what we really like (both no big jalapeno fan) . 3/5 Pasta dish was a bit unfortunate the noodles came almost frozen cold in the inside for one person the other ones were also not really hot. They fixed it and gave us another portion - great staff, overall we were split , the pasta dough was a bit too mushy , presentation was ok only. 3/5 Mains were great from presentation perspective, taste wise the vegan one blew us off and was amazing, the fish was very well cooked but somehow missed some peaks in flavours. 4/5 Desserts were a ice cream with black garlic mousse and mushroom cookie, not bad but the hearty garlic flavour for us didn't do the dessert thing, it was sweet. Garlicy and crunchy. Not bad but had better desserts before 3/5 Overall still a nice place , great food concept but we found it a bit pricey and maybe a little bit too ambitious, which made it less great.

We booked the chef’s table without knowing it’s actually a front row table in the kitchen next to the chef and staff. It was such an incredible evening with lots of good food, service and chats with the kitchen crew. Loved getting to see how everything is prepped and getting to know the staff. We highly recommend booking a table and checking out the tasting menu, everything was delicious from start to finish.

I had the most fantastic experience I have ever had. We were there with a big group of 9 people. The food was stunning and blew me away with explosions of different tastes in my mouth. I had no idea about the restaurant, but the amazing server explained their zero-waste policy and how they find innovative ways to reuse broken or usually thrown-away things. Felt like a VIP experience, thanks to the server. They were very mindful of our personal requests and prepared beautiful and tasty alcohol-free drinks for one of the eaters. We were in a cabin, which gave a unique view to the kitchen and was more quiet than the rest of the tables. It felt relaxed and magical at the same time. I highly recommend! 🤩

What a lovely place!! I ventured into Helsinki for a wander and a meal during a 9.5hrs layover in the airport. The restaurant accommodated me with a late email reservation (and they were so responsive too). I had the 6 course set menu which was lovely. I especially liked the tartare with waffles and the pasta dish. When I explained that I found the goose slightly too salty (it was still good), they very quickly turned up with an extra ice cream that served as a palate cleanser. That ginger ice cream just exploded in my mouth. Altogether a lovely experience. Thank you Nolla.
