"A popular spot for Chinese comfort food, especially known for its soup dumplings and hand-pulled noodles, set among the neon lights of the Theater District." - The MICHELIN Guide

Kung Fu Little Steamed Buns Ramen

"Watch out Hell's Kitchen; watch out Flushing—with its lineup of traditional Chinese comfort food, including the best soup dumplings in town, this steamy joint kicks its competitors to the curb. Set among the neon lights of the Theater District, the ever-packed gem may showcase a noodle house-like vibe, but the staff is friendly and the cooking on-point at all times. Hand-pulled and hand-cut noodles are stir-fried with mouthwatering accompaniments, while the dumpling variety is so great it’s almost impossible to pick. Herb-spiked pork and shrimp wonton soup is well worth the 20-minute wait, allowing diners plenty of time to devour pan-fried Peking duck bundles, scallion pancakes stuffed with sliced beef or even steamed buns full of mushroom." - Michelin Inspector

The Best Chinese Dumplings in NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"The dumplings at Kung Fu Little Steamed Buns Ramen have a cult following, for good reason. The crab and pork xiao long bao have super thin skins, and are significantly more flavorful than ones you’ll find at touristy spots like Joe’s Shanghai. You can also get pork dumplings sans soup in both steamed and pan-fried versions. The space is large, with lots of seating and some fun wall murals, so it works just as well for a casual date night or low-cost group dinner as it does for a quick solo meal. " - Carina Finn Koeppicus

The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, Fall 2018 - Eater NY

"One of my favorite things to do on a Saturday afternoon is stroll around Hell’s Kitchen and check out new, affordable places to eat. So it goes that this weekend I finally got around to trying Peter Song’s Northern Chinese spot, Real Kung Fu. I ordered a plate of crab xiao long bao, and they were pretty good, packing a sweet, concentrated maritime tang ($10)." - Eater Staff

This place is off the charts. If you are in NYC this is a must visit. The dumplings are exquisite an absolute flavour explosion. The hand cut noodles in the ramen are perfect and the broth has that beautiful depth of flavour. Scallion pancakes are delicious. We have gone twice in three days. We waited ten minutes the first time then straight in the second time.

This is one of our go to places for a quick meal in the last 10 years, especially on our way to Lincoln center, Central Park and Empire state building as the location is so convenient. The quality of meals are consistent and seldom got disappointed. The Hell’s Kitchen area is so competitive that I am glad to see this tiny store survived over years even the COVID period. I especially enjoyed their steamed soup dumplings, noodle and wonton. The service is super fast even though the wait time is usually long in the peak hours due to its good reputation and popularity. Definitely recommend a try if you are in the area and need a quick casual meal.

My friend and I walked into this place on a random afternoon when everywhere else around the area was quite busy and we enjoyed the food we had here, especially because some of the dishes they served were catered towards people from my region in China. Since my friend and I were from the same city originally, we both had a pretty good experience. The fact that they had marinated slice beef, tea eggs, and crispy fried dough, some of the items that I regularly had for breakfast when I was young in China, brought back a lot of nostalgia. The tea egg tasted pretty good and was infused with sufficient tea flavor. The crispy fried dough, or you tiao, as we call it in China, was a bit dry and hard. The marinated slice beef had good flavor and had an abundant amount. The egg & chive boxes didn't have enough chives or eggs in there, but had good flavor overall. Both the ramen and the stir-fried ramen were tasty and I don't know how else to describe them other than that they tasted good. Anyway, the highlight for me was that some of the dishes I used to have at home existed here. Their flavors weren't the best but were still good! I also think that the decor inside the restaurant is pretty cool, with a big piece of artwork by Pengpeng Du displayed on the wall. With so many good restaurants in the area, I am not sure about the likelihood of one coming across this one, but I do recommend it to those that want to give it a try.

Google
A solid, no-frills spot in this part of Manhattan where there are plenty of restaurants, but most are a little one-note. We didn't get the noodles, so my experience could have been different. The pan-fried pork buns were definitely the best thing we ordered, but definitely not the best in NYC. Head to Flushing or Chinatown for that, but if you're seeing a show or are willing to walk down from Carnegie Hall, this place will be perfect. I will advise to skip the scallion pancakes with beef - heavy and greasy. It's a small spot, so you may even have to wait. Please note that it's cash only.

Enter Kungfu Dim Sum, a cafe that packs a punch in every bite. Pork Dumplings with Chives – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The thin, delicate skin encases a burst of savory pork and fresh chives, each bite a delightful explosion of umami. Surprise hit – the Crispy Onion Pancake with Sliced Beef. Think Peking Duck vibes but with tender beef slices wrapped in a crispy, flaky pancake and drizzled with a BBQ-style sauce. The sweet, smoky flavor paired with the crunch of the pancake is an absolute winner. If you’re looking for a spot to satisfy both lunch and dinner cravings, Kungfu Dim Sum delivers a knockout dining experience. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Without a doubt!! 😊

Google
The roast duck ramen was simple, but every element was delicious. Handmade egg noodles, buttery bok choy, roast duck that falls off the bone, and stems of fresh cilantro. The bun was excellent too, better than I expected. I’d recommend coming here outside of the dinner rush hours, as the lines can get pretty long (especially on a weekend). However, the prices are very reasonable for what you get so it’s worth the wait, in my humble opinion.

Google
Absolutely delicious! Our second time here and again, it didn't disappoint. We got stir-fried hand cut noodles and vegetable soup. As well as various vegetarian dumplings. So friggin good!!! The service is outstanding and it's a cute mom-and-pop's place. Everything is so flavorful and fresh! Will definitely come back again and again!

Google
Food is amazing no doubt. The menu isnt too big (good sign of high quality food). The service is very minimal but that is what you would expect from the Chinese restaurants with the best food.

Yelp
This is a classic dive spot that's in the theater district and I admit I had no expectations but the food was great. It is literally a hole in the wall with no less than three different names on the front of the place, on the menu and in Yelp, but they all lead the same place. The menu is focused on some of the great classic. We loved the fried noodles dishes and the beef and broccoli was great. Overall not too salty and super tasty. The buns were great as well. It's not a fancy place but it's clean. The tables are New York close Amd the tables are classic plastic but you are here for the food. Net, net we don't have many complaints. It was fast an delicious and takeaway works great as well! Make sure to bring some cash in case their Venmo fails. They don't take credit cards as I recall.

Yelp
Good, convenient dumpling spot around broadway/midtown/HK. Staff was friendly and accommodating, especially since we came with a larger group of 6. All the food was pretty good, especially for a casual walk-in dinner. Everyone left full and happy. - XLB (steamed pork buns) with and without crab meat. - Steamed Vegetable Dumpling - Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef - Stir fried hand cut noodles - Hand cut noodle with soup

Yelp
I recently visited this cozy ramen spot in NYC, and it was a delightful experience overall! The roasted duck handmade noodle was a highlight it was flavorful and rich, though a bit on the salty side. The house special ramen was equally impressive, with a perfectly balanced broth and fresh toppings. We also tried the stir fry, which was satisfying and well-prepared. For dessert, we couldn't resist the classic red bean bun, and it did not disappoint, soft, warm, and delicious. We went on a Wednesday evening and were seated right away, which was a plus. The food came out quickly, keeping the experience smooth and efficient. The service was okay waiters weren't rude, but they weren't particularly friendly either. All in all, the food made up for the slightly impersonal service. Definitely worth a visit for the quality dishes.

Yelp
Everything I tried here was really good! The duck buns were amazing and the noodle dishes I really liked. The taro puffs were super tasty. Classic spot and will become a frequent visit for me!

Yelp
Oh man, what a letdown. I ordered shrimp and pork wonton soup and steamed pork dumplings and both were so gross. They were the quality of what you'd expect from a super cheap Chinese restaurant and definitely not worth the price or calories.

Yelp
Originally I was skeptical because this place was relatively close to Time Square, but they delivered! No frills dumplings or noodle soup that is affordable and comes with decent portions. I forgot to get photos of the dumplings but got some of the noodle soup! :( It's a small seating area so it can get pretty busy during meal times so if you're able to come at a little bit off schedule then you'll have a better chance of getting seats. Service was friendly and nice!

Yelp
Pork XLB was fine. Wrapper was a little gummy, meat filling was flavorful. Wonton soup was ok, dumplings and broth were a bit bland and not much to write home about. Steamed dumplings with mushroom and bok choy were just okay. Definitely ask for chili oil and dip everything in there. Best thing was the scallion pancake which was crispy and the meat inside was great and the accompanying sauce was good. Place is pretty small and cramped. They kept having to move our chairs for them to wheel in frozen boxes labeled with "soup dumplings" and various other menu items. Made me feel like they didn't make the dumplings fresh there but were bringing them in from elsewhere. Service was fine. Overall, I'm not sure what the hype is about this place. I know they're on the Michelin guide but I was not at all impressed. FYI they include 15% gratuity in the bill already.

Yelp
A solid option in the area. The stir fried noodles were my favorite! The portion was huge and came with a lot of shrimp. We also shared scallion pancakes and steamed buns, which were both tasty. That day, it was cash only but I think they accept cards normally. The inside was nice and they had a projector playing some cooking footage. Just a note - I had visited another location in midtown East called "Kung fu little steamed buns ramen" but realize this place in Hell's Kitchen has "Real" in the name. I still can't fully tell if it's the same restaurant since they have different websites and menu.

Yelp
We stumped across this as we walking and glad we did! We ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Xiao Long Bao. Just the two dishes was plenty to share between two people. I would have loved to have tried a few more things because the flavors were great. The Spicy Beef Soup reminded me of a mix between ramen and pho due to the type of noodles and broth used. Pretty cool they've been Michelin Star recognized, which makes sense since it was so good

Yelp
My fave go to rite nearby the office service is quick & attentive, food is ridiculously delish & the proce is rite. Can't go wrong with any food choices here. Space is a bit snug but go anyway, it's totally worth it.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The chicken soup dumplings were so flavorful and tasted like nothing I've had before. The hand cut noodles were thick and I enjoyed those probably even more. I'm a sucker for some good noodles and those were an 10/10. Wish I could've ordered more but it was just me. The service was ehh. Not the friendliest bunch, but you don't come for that. Just need to stop telling customer cash only when their site and Yelp says otherwise. When I went up to pay the man said card or cash. They aren't on the same page. The restaurant was small and they sat me next to a table with people already there eating. Made me a bit uncomfortable, but I was so hungry from walking all day that I put that to the side. They need a better system. I'm not trying to eat with strangers.

Yelp
The service was very quick, and it felt like we didn't even wait 10 minutes for our order to come out. There was also conveniently a restroom. This isn't the largest restaurant, but there was a good flow of customers. C-pop and K-pop played in the background, but it wasn't too loud. The Beef Spicy Beef Sliced Noodle Soup had the perfect amount of spice but beware! Don't drink a spoonful of pepper like I did and get the spice up your nose. They didn't skimp out on the beef slices, which I appreciated! I also had the Beef Stir Fried Hand Cut Noodles, and the flavor was so addictive I basically shoved noodles into my mouth. The noodles were so good, I just wanted more noodles, but I kept getting pinches of bean sprouts. For both noodle dishes, I just wished that the noodles were longer. The noodles were thick and chewy, and I wanted more! The Ho Ho Fruity was very refreshing with a generous about of lychee jelly.

Yelp
I came with a friend on a weeknight for dinner but they were so busy (30 minute wait), so we ended up doing takeout. I wanted to try the Duck Buns, but they were sold out, so I ended up getting the Scallion Pancake w Beef and the Steamed Buns w/ Mushroom and Bok Choy (both recommended on the Michelin Guide). It ended up being a 25 minute wait, so might as well have waited to eat in haha. The Scallion Pancake w/ Beef was tasty! Not super crispy but might be a result of sitting in the subway for 15 min. The beef is nice and tender, and the sauce is sweet. The Steamed Buns were fluffy and had well seasoned mix of veggies! I felt it was a bit pricey for the amount of food (~$20 pre-tip/tax). I think combined with the wait it wasn't really worth it for me. I would maybe give this place another shot and come to eat in person one day, especially to try their Duck Buns!

Yelp
Date: Sunday, May 5th, 2024 Time: around 1:15pm Party of: 4 which turned into 5 Meal: Lunch Note: Cash only *Crab Meat Soup Dumplings ($13.95) *Pan Fried Peking Duck Buns ($9.95) *Marinated Pig Ears ($14.95) *House Special Ramen with Soup ($16.50) *House Special Hand Cut Soup Noodles ($17.50) *Spicy Beef Ramen with Soup ($15.50) *Chili Oil Fatty Beef Hand Cut ($16.50) *Steam Bun Mushroom Bok Choy ($8.95) *Pork Soup Dumplings ($11.95) *Roast Duck Hand Cut Noodles ($19.95) *Coke ($2.50) The hubby and I were looking for an easy spot for lunch and decided on Real Kung Fu. Extended the invite to the boys who ended up joining. The 4 of us stopped by around 1:15pm. Only waited a few minutes before we were seated. About 15+ mins in, another friends said he was going to swing by. Luckily, the table of two next to us was finishing up their meal, so we added their table to our 4 top. Their hand cut noodles are delish! I ordered the ramen for variety, which left something to be desired. The hand cut noodles the hubby got were sooo good. Right amount of texture and chew. Found myself wishing I got handcut noodles as well. The apps were pretty good. The XLBs were juicy and soupy. Make sure to ask for hot chili oil since everything is better with a kick. Well, at least to me that is. Only downside is they are cash only. Tho they do have CC signs on the door and I think they are on meal delivery apps. We did have enough cash on us, but I wish they accepted credit cards. Would make everything easier. REVIEW #3407

Yelp
Casual looking place but one of the better dumplings in town. I've ordered for takeaway a few times and it's consistent and on point.

Yelp
Came here around 11:45 for lunch on a Thursday with a group of 3. Service was quick and easy. We ordered some pork soup dumplings to share and I got vegetable knife cut stir fry noodles. It unexpectedly had tomatoes which I didn't like. Additionally, my coworkers got beef and it wasn't the beef you'd expect as it had some tendony parts and pork which was bbq pork not just pork pieces which they liked. The stir fry knife cut noodles were fine. I'd give it a second chance and get the soup noodles next time. The soup dumplings were juicy and thin skinned which was my favorite part of the meal. I also previously went here for takeout and got Peking duck buns. They were pretty good but a little thick. Note that you need to spend a minimum of $15 to pay by card. Also automatic service charge if 15% is added to bills when eating in.

Yelp
I was this restaurant while walking across the street and I wanted to check it out because by the name I wanted to see if they had steamed buns, but when I went in I saw someone eating wonton soup so I changed my mind and wanted that instead. I was surprised that this soup was on the Michelin guide, so I def wanted to try. This wonton soup was one of the best I've had in the city! The wontons were so flavorful and juicy and the broth wasn't too salty. I also liked there were pieces of bok choy and other green veggies. I saw someone order pepper steak and that looked and smelled really good, so I'll be back for that! The restaurant is very small inside, only a few tables, but full and service was okay. I'll be back soon!
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
These are the best steamed buns I've ever had! Food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the scallion and beef pancakes!
google avatar

Emi B.

Yelp
Not the most delicate soup dumpling but still does the job! Probably frozen/bought though coz it looks way too consistent. Chive Pocket, Peking Duck Bun, Stir Fry Pepper Beef - all fine, not wow, but fix the craving.
google avatar

Luis R.

Yelp
This place is worth it. I don't care for Asian food, but this place, this is the only place I go for noodles.
google avatar

Kathryn J.

Yelp
I had a really delicious dim sum meal here! We arrived around 5 and didn't have to wait, although by the time we left at 6:15 there was a wait out the door. The tables are very tight and you will sit next to a stranger, which I don't love but it's NYC. We ordered a few different dishes. The highlights were the beautiful scallion pancakes- light, crispy, and flavorful- and of course the soup dumplings. The only miss for us was the bok choy buns. The buns were delicious, but the filling tasted a lot like grass. This would be a great place for a delicious meal! The noodles and ramen also looked fantastic.
google avatar

Cory N.

Yelp
Get here early, because there will be a line, especially before Broadway shows start. The location is small, you will be shoulder to shoulder with other guests and the whole place is one big fire hazard. That being said, it is all so worth it. The food is fantastic. We had Soup Buns, Xiao Long Bao, Spicy tofu, Wonton soup, Oolong tea with honey and a matcha. Every dish was better than the last. They just bring out dishes when they are ready, so don't expect pacing or appetizers vs entrees. They want to feed you and turn around the table. For your xia long bao, I suggest using the vinegar, not the dumpling sauce. The vinegar is a bit sweeter than I am used to, but it was a good pairing with the soup dumplings. I suggest the pork. Service was quick and getting their attention isn't always easy. Order everything you can while you have their focus. I will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Tim T.

Yelp
Truly amazeballs soup dumplings and beef rolls. The beef rolls are even featured in the Michelin guide (along with three other menu items, the wonton soup, duck buns and steamed buns). Their noodles are also good (it's Chinese ramen before imported to Japan circa 19th Century). Desserts like the taro balls are also great. Service prompt and attentive; interior decor is cool and cozy and you can also watch a Chinese TV show with chef Peter Song broadcast on displays. Definitely recommended if you are near Times Square!
google avatar

Lan T.

Yelp
We came here before a Broadway show based my friend's recommendation. We got there before 6 and got the last table (yay) It's only my daughter and I so we couldn't order everything we wanted to try; we just ordered the soup bun with crab and pork, pan-fried duck bun, and sliced noodles. They are all very delicious and reasonably priced. The place is small but clean. The service was fast. If you go after 5:30, I'd suggest to use the "wait list" on Yelp.
google avatar

Charlotte G.

Yelp
A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that left us wanting more! Don't let the small interior fool you. The service is quick and personable whether you're a usual goer or a newcomer. THE GOOD: + The wait is hit or miss because the interior is so small... but our party of 3 only waited for ~10 minutes during a busy dinner rush hour. + Not a tourist spot... since not many people know about it. This spot is even a "Michelin Guide Recommended" in 2017 and 2018. + This is good or bad depending on how you look at it. Our party didn't mind that we shared our table with another party. They try to SAFELY cram as many people as possible inside of the restaurant. People come and go, though. I saw many solo diners. + The tea shop next door is partnered with the restaurant so you get both dining experiences into one! My mom got the "First Love" and I got the "Honey Ruby Black." Both drinks were very refreshing! Boba can also be included to all the drinks with an additional charge. THE FOOD: 10/10 -- Scallion Pancakes with Sliced Beef: OH MY GOSH. THIS WAS THE BEST DISH ON MY ENTIRE NYC TRIP! Sweet, savory, and filling all in one combo!! WOW! *Michelin Guide Recommended* 10/10 -- Pan-Fried Peking Duck Buns: I want an entire plate of these buns!!!! They only come out in a pair, but it's now my new favorite snack. DOUBLE WOW! I should've bought to-go, because it was soooo compact and delicious! The breading alone already has my mouth watering as I write this review. *Michelin Guide Recommended* 10/10 -- Hand-cut Beef Noodle Soup: This dish a should be served alone without all the appetizers because it's VERY filling! The hand-cut noodles elevate this dish to top-tier ramen level. I felt like I was back in Japan whenever I slurped the JUICY broth! 6/10 -- Chicken Xiao Long Bao: It was okay. Nothing to write a review on. Not bad but also not good. The broth wasn't as flavorful as the noodle soup... which was a bit disappointing since it's a soup dumpling and the main reason why we stopped by. 8/10 -- Pork Xiao Long Bao: This was more flavorful than its chicken counterpart... but I'm bias with pork xlb. It's not Din Tai Fung standard level, but it's good on its own without comparison. 10/10 -- Classic Red Bean Bun: CAN I GET A LIFETIME ORDER OF THIS?! Ugh. I don't live in NYC, but I would be here everyday for this red bean bun alone. I can eat this for breakfast, lunch, hobbit second breakfast, snack, and dinner. It is super round and fluffy! The red bean paste is such a delightful delicacy to put my tastebuds on. OVERALL, I rate my experience 5 out of 5 stars. I hope more people find out about this place, because it sure was such an underrated restaurant with delicious cuisine. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in NYC again!

Yelp
It's no surprise this restaurant was so packed and the line was so incredibly long. My daughter and I ordered the xiao long bao, pork and shrimp wonton soup, and scallion pancakes. The best compliment I can give a restaurant is "it tastes like home." The pork and shrimp wonton soup tasted like the soup my mom used to make. With just one bite, it brought me back to my childhood. My mom was an incredible cook, so this is a huge compliment to the chef who replicated her signature dish! The xiao long bao and scallion pancakes were also delicious. My daughter and I left the restaurant incredibly satisfied. This restaurant earned its Michelin star back in 2018, and I'm surprised it has not maintained this status. It's a Michelin star restaurant in my books! The servers were very friendly and attentive. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in New York!

Yelp
This place has been on my list for ages as I've heard rumors of their bao and soup dumplings. My friend and I walked in at 12 pm and were able to get a table within 10 minutes - it seems the line ebbs and flows and when you wait, everyone waits but when the line moves a big section is able to be seated. The service was speedy but we weren't bothered by that as we had somewhere to go after. I really wanted to try the ramen, but honestly I wish my friend and I had just shared small plates. The soup in the tendon ramen that I got was delicious, creamy, and thick, but the tendon was kind of tough and the flavor of the dish wasn't super special. Next time I definitely want to try to soup dumplings or normal ones. The veggie bao was good, though I personally found the dough to be a bit thick. The beef scallion pancakes were delicious. Overall, I think this place may be the tiniest bit overhyped but a solid one to go to if you want authentic, tasty Chinese food.

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese food I've eaten in years... IN YEARS! This is a very special spot. I could not believe how flavorful and well-crafted everything was. I tried the chicken soup dumplings, the beef scallion pancake, and the duck ramen. I was surprised by how much I loved each dish -- I'm a pain in the ass and not easily impressed. This is one of those restaurants where once you try one dish, you want everything on the menu. One of those restaurants where after a couple of bites start thinking about specific people you want to take there. Amazing!

Yelp
I was recently on a tour through the city and I saw this place and knew I wanted to go back after the tour. It was small but cute. Some of the tables had you seated with other people but honestly I forgot about it once I got my food. We got a few different things and shared and each thing I tried was so yummy. I guess I had never really had really dumplings before until now. The chopsticks had little instructions on how to eat them properly, ha. So good. 10/10 was the best find during my trip!

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled across this place on a walk back to where we were staying, not realizing it was so popular and in the Michelin guide. The tables inside are set up in an odd way, where you're sitting right next to different parties without separation between tables. This isn't a big deal, just a tight fit and you have to be careful with your movements. We ordered five dishes, which ended up being around $80 (tip is included in the check) with there being enough for leftovers. Each dish comes out when they're ready and the service was very quick. Sauteed Bok Choy: Necessary to balance out all the other carb and meat dishes. The garlic was soft and the bok choy still had a crunch. Pan Fried Pork Dumplings: This may be the best thing we ordered. Pan-frying gives it a crispy bottom, which contrasts the soup dumpling-like filling. It's well-seasoned and the soup inside was surprising in a good way! Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef: This is also a great pick and I would recommend this over the regular scallion pancakes. The meat makes it more filling and the scallion pancakes are light and crispy on the outside. Pan Fried Peking Duck Bun: I would highly recommend ordering this one as well! I'm biased though because I will always order something with duck if I can. The dough-to-filling proportion is basically perfect where every bite was balanced. Sticky Rice Shao Mai: My friend ordered this thinking it was shu mai, so we were surprised (and slightly disappointed) when this came out. I wouldn't order this again because it was heavy and was essentially just a ball of sticky rice.

Yelp
There was a line at the door but once seated the food came pretty fast. It was the "soupest" soup dumplings we had ever had....so yummy! I would come back when we visit NYC again.

Yelp
Food: 4.5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Experience: 4.5/5 I had gone to this little noodle shop for the past year, and recently, it does not quite meet my high expectations anymore. On any given evening, it is likely you will need to wait in line, but the wait is not too long (no reservations). I waited around 20 minutes for a party of 2. I ordered the scallion pancake with sliced beef, and the beef tendon hand pulled noodles. The pancake was good; the exterior was crispy and interior had hoisin sauce and beef layered in. The noodles were well cooked, but I had expected more beef tendon and some more bok choy. The tendon itself was quite chewy and not quite as tender as I had previously had here. There was also not that much of it either. The soup was also quite salty and lacked a certain depth of flavor I expected. Overall, this is a good cheap noodle place near Times Square that has become quite popular. Also, bring cash for a slight discount!

Yelp
I risked it all for the dumplings recently LMAO. I had to leave my Time Sq hotel for a work trip by 12:05pm but was over zealous in making my way to pick up my to go order to the point that I almost literally missed the bus. Ultimately I have learned the time guesstimator AND walking instructions are a bit screwy on yelp (google maps?) but ultimately I power-walked/RAN just in time to run in, grab my bag and leave. I It was so worth it!!! I love the individually packed packages of soupy goodness (sorry, yes I just ordered the pork soup dumplings to try) previous notes mentioned they aren't as "delicate" perhaps the thickness at the pinch-point is the only possible thing I could see maybe being lighter; I personally thought they were 9.5/10 for flavor and dough thickness. I also don't typically prefer vinegar but the one it came with was the perfect balance for the savory nature of the dumpling. I WILL 100% try again and looking forward to trying more when I have time. 谢谢!

Yelp
Went here on a late Sunday afternoon around 5pm? My party of 3 got in immediately, which was great because a line started to build outside right after. I didn't realize this place was so popular, OR located right by Times Square (I just be bookmarking Yelp recommendations without looking at actual locations sometimes). This is not a big place, and it's kind of communal seating, as all the tables are jammed together, but I didn't find it claustrophobic and kind of forgot about the diners adjacent to us. Also, they have one, very easily accessible bathroom! I got the pork and crab soup dumplings, my mom got the hand-pulled noodle chicken soup, and her man got the vegetarian ramen. I expected a lot out of these dumplings and noodles, and while shooting stars didn't occur when I tasted it, they were pretty good (although kind of pricey at like $15). HOWEVER...I happened to see they had fresh brewed tea on their drink menu, and yesterday was a CHILLY day for June. So I opted for the Ruby Black tea with honey and WOW. THAT, I was impressed by. Deliciousl ridiculously underrated menu item that you should get. I almost wanted to get a second cup to go. 4 stars because the tea was shockingly better than the average food, service was great, and we didn't feel like sardines in the small space and cozy ambience despite it's location.

Yelp
My son and I were staying across the street at our hotel and we were exhausted from just flying in for our trip and didn't feel like getting ready to go out to eat but we're starving and were craving comfort food. To keep it simple and quick, I looked across the way from our hotel and saw this place and looked on Yelp and with high reviews I decided to try. I met the delivery guy in our hotel lobby and we got the chicken steamed buns and these were the best I have ever had!!! I wish we had this back home. I can't wait to go back when in the city! You have to get these, you will be on cloud 9! Yum!

Yelp
Very tasty with fast service. Popped in for a small bite while waiting for a friend. I only had the crab and pork soup dumplings and a tea egg. But just from that I will come back to get a taste of more of the menu! No pics. After I took a bite I didn't stop. **Also gratuity was included on my bill so pay attention for that. Crab and pork soup dumplings + tea egg = 20$

Yelp
Small and unassuming spot near Times Square with a great tea menu (hot and iced & bubble options too). The service was mediocre, not the friendliest and quite slow but the food was great. I strongly recommend the scallion pancakes with beef and as many dumplings as possible (soup and duck are a must). I also ordered the Michelin star rated wonton soup, tbh didn't think it was anything special but obviously others did. Wish I could have had the noodles but was too stuffed from all the dumplings. Also, the stuff all comes out piping hot so make sure to let things cool off before taking a bite and ruining your tongue/taste buds.

Yelp
Quick service. DELICIOUS dumplings! A very large variety of options for those who DO NOT eat pork. Clean bathroom.

Yelp
So good -- and with lots to offer to please most anyone, from dim sum to noodles to soups. Thankfully, the menu highlights some customer and Michelin favorites, if you want some guidance! Highlights for us were the must-try Peking duck buns; the hand-pulled noodles; and the scallion pancake with beef.

Yelp
I love their service and the Ramen Soups also the appetizers. But every time I order the Shrimp & Pork dumpling Soup they put a cup of hot sauce that ends up like this every time , even when I tell them I don't want the hot sauce.

Yelp
Everything we ordered off the menu was pretty good. The spicy beef ramen was decent, not the best but still edible. The steamed pork dumplings were top notch. And the sticky rice shu-mai was tasty too. Be wary though - the place is super small and cramped. My girlfriend and I were sitting right next to another couple with no barrier which made it a bit awkward since it felt like we were sitting as a group as our tables were only inches apart.

Yelp
This restaurant has always been a favourite of mine when i lived in the area. So when i happened to be in the area again i had to eat here! My favourite seafood ramen was taken off the menu so that was a bit disappointing but overall our meal was nice. I ordered a dish with duck, which was nice but on the salter side and the meat was very boney. The best item that we ordered was the duck bao buns! I would go back for those. The service was good and it didn't take too long to receive our food. This restaurant is more of a fast-paste place and quick turnover that i wouldn't recommend if you want to sit and talk for a while. You will feel the wait staff hovering because they need the table.

Yelp
Thursday Dinner @ 6:00 pm - pork steamed dumplings, shanghai pan-fried pork buns, beef, and tripe chili oil, cucumber salad, pan-fried Peking duck bun Service: attentive and friendly Ambiance: casual and relaxed Price: reasonable Food quality: very fresh and high quality Remarks: Very small and packed dining room. Very great food, especially the pork steamed dumplings, hot, full of yummy juicy broth. They have vinegar and soy sauce on every table, but no additional sliced ginger paired with the dumplings.

Yelp
Kind of surprised to see this on the Michelin Guide as it doesn't have the vibe of a restaurant that is usually on the list. I feel like even for extremely affordable restaurants on the Michelin Guide, they all have a very distinct vibe - even if it's considered as the dirty vibe. Either way was happy to walk in without much of a line. - Pork Soup Dumplings - I know this is what they are known for, but I thought the dumplings were average tasting. The dumpling skin stuck onto the bamboo steamer basket so all the soup leaked out of it before I got to drink any of it which is kind of sad. - Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef - Eat this while it's hot. I absolutely loved the crispy scallion pancake wrapped around the tender beef with the sweet sauce. I appreciate that they also had sauce on the side in case you wanted to dip more into it. - House Special Noodle Soup / Ramen - One of my pet peeves is when Chinese noodle soup places call their soups "ramen", as it really is not a ramen. Either way, this noodle soup was pretty good as the broth was very clean and full of beef flavor and I really appreciate the tea egg. Pro tip: Mix the egg yolk into the broth for a milky and fuller flavor. Definitely my favorite item out of the 3. Overall, not a bad place for food especially in Midtown where everything is extremely expensive. Definitely will be one of my go-to comfort food places especially if I'm in Midtown.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday at 6pm. There was a line out the door and we waited probably about 20 minutes for a table for two. The restaurant is small and you may end up sharing a long table with another group, like we did. Pan fried Peking duck buns- they came out piping hot! The flavor was good and the bread was very soft, but there was definitely not enough filling/duck Pork soup dumplings- the wrap is a tiny bit too thick, but it was filled nicely with soup and the filling was very tender inside Pork & shrimp wonton soup (+$4 with noodles) - the wontons were very good sized and filled, the noodles + soup were pretty standard I would like to come back and try the ramen soup Also, check the bill- they don't tell you, but they already have a 15% gratuity added to the bill

Yelp
So delicious! Steam buns are the best. You can't go wrong with pork, although the pork and crab were tasty. This may be my new go to pre-theater spot.

Yelp
The soup dumplings are amazing, the ramen noodles are delicious, and you can never go wrong here. It's a little overpriced but delicious. The restaurant is small and crowded all the time.

Yelp
I recently visited real kung fu little steam buns, Ramen in NYC, and tried their beef noodle soup, and I have to say, it was pretty impressive. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a depth of taste that was a nice change of pace from the typical beef noodle soups that I've had in the past. The beef was also incredibly tender and well, seasoned, complementing the broth perfectly. The noodles had the perfect texture, not too soft and not too hard. Overall, I would give real kung fu little steamed buns, Ramen, 4-stars for their beef noodle soup. If you're in the mood for a hearty and satisfying bowl of soup, this is the spot worth checking out. Follow me on Yelp, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook as I travel the world in search of the perfect bowl of noodle soup. Insta @noodlesoupr
