The Best Restaurants In Dumbo & Brooklyn Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"Red Coffee Stand is predictably all-red and, less predictably, serves soup. It’s wedged beneath the stairs of an otherwise very gray building on Front Street. You won’t see it from the street, but you will see a small, all-red sign that says, “Red Coffee Stand” in masking tape. The soup sometimes sells out, so go on the earlier side. If you don’t make it for soup time, don’t despair. The chocolate alfajores at the counter are rich and gooey, and the fridge is usually stocked with something fun to eat later, like roasted scape meatballs." - willa moore, bryan kim, sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick, carina finn koeppicus, hannah albertine

Red Coffee Stand - Review - DUMBO - New York - The Infatuation

"Red Coffee Stand is predictably all red and wedged beneath the stairs of an otherwise very gray building on Front Street. You won’t see it from the street, but you will see a small sign that says, “Red Coffee Stand” in masking tape. Less predictably, they also sell soup. Though that detail starts to make more sense when you consider that this is a collaboration between Hot Soup and Ants Coffee. The soups taste like something you could make at home if you knew your way around a perfect chicken stock, which you might not, and that’s alright. Sometimes these sell out, so go on the earlier side. If you don’t make it, don’t despair. The chocolate alfajores at the counter are rich and gooey, and the fridge is usually stocked with something fun to eat later. Last time we went, we got roasted scape meatballs with chicken and pork. Had we had more space in our bag, though, we may have also invested in some “DAMN GOOD ROASTED YAMS” with five exclamation points. photo credit: Willa Moore" - Willa Moore

fabulous and much needed addition to dumbo! tiny little nook on front street offers a growing assortment of great sweet and savory items (many gluten free too) — in addition to homemade soup and flavorful coffee. baked goods from sixteen mill are fine quality, gluten free and insanely delicious. alfajore from a small production biz in williamsburg are perfect — not over the top sweet, and enrobed in either dark or white chocolate. soup menu is diverse and unique, everyone house made by owner and chef russell. red lentil is smooth and filling, chicken matzo is better than your mothers. mushroom congee is unique and tasty. you’ll want to get there early, they often sell out. oh yea — great coffee too. legit americano has me coming back for my midday fix. hope they continue to work the magic and expand morning hours as they settle in — summer is around the corner and dog walks in BB park need ☕️

came for the soup. ate it on the subway. what's fun is it doubles as a weapon, if you need to deter a tweaker, this is HOT SOUP! on a cold, bone chilling day, a nice bowl of HOT SOUP hits different you know? really loved the colors, the guy who poured me my soup was a really friendly guy. 10/10 would recommend & would reconsider renaming to "red coffee stand & subway soup!" in the winter time.

This new dining spot is a game changer in the neighborhood and in New York. A much needed addition to Dumbo, the tastiest delights served with warmth from the team that runs it (shout to Russell and Nia). Unique soup options with deep flavours that are reminiscent of how your Grandmother would cook - it hits the spot in so many ways.

I saw they use Rocky’s matcha so I was so excited to try except for it was such a let down. They don’t use enough matcha it tasted like maybe barely 1tsp for my cup so it was not drinkable. The flat white was good.

I found this place looking for a coffee shop near the dumbo. The matcha late was not only beautiful but also really good and I really liked the donut. The staff was very friendly :) I‘ll be back for sure

Legitimately the best soup I’ve ever had. Russell (soup guy) knows something that I don’t. Really easy, quick meal, in a great shop with other vendors. His lentil soup ➕➕➕➕
