Craft cocktails and charcuterie in a subterranean speakeasy
"Fully embracing the secrecy theme, Redacted’s entrance (labeled only with a small sticker in typewriter font) is on the side of a brick building in Summerhill. Descend underground to the windowless lair, which houses a bar and a wall of green, semi-circle booths that look like they could be in a Cold War espionage film. You can’t smoke inside the bar, but it feels like the kind of hangout where there should be ashtrays on every table and dossiers hidden in between cushions. photo credit: Tabia Lisenbee-Parker video credit: Tabia S. For something fun, get the absinthe colada that blends absinthe’s licorice flavor with pineapple. It’s good. Or play it straight with a classic like their strong Old Fashioned with rye. It doesn’t disappoint. There’s no food except for a generic charcuterie board, so pair a visit here with a stop for dinner at one of the restaurants in the Summerhill strip." - Juli Horsford

"A subterranean, conspiracy-themed cocktail bar accessed via a side door at 63 Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, created by Judy Ho and Jake Karmin after six years of planning and necessary waterproofing. The hidden, speakeasy-like spot serves inventive cocktails including a Downstairs Old Fashioned, a Froot Loop Milk Punch made with Fruit Loop cereal milk, bergamot liqueur, Earl Grey simple syrup and lemon, plus drinks like a Sloe Gin Fizz and an Absinthe Colada." - Henna Bakshi

"I noted Redacted Basement Drink Parlor, a Summerhill conspiracy theory-themed bar, finally plans to open along Georgia Avenue after multiple delays." - Beth McKibben

"Slated to open next year on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, I note a conspiracy theory–driven spot called Redacted Basement Drink Parlor that was mentioned as another mystery-theme destination coming to Atlanta." - Beth McKibben

"Slated to open next year on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, this 1,500-square-foot, conspiracy-driven basement bar will pay homage to conspiratorial lore through rotating monthly themes — from aliens, crop circles, and a fictional 'President’s book of secrets' to tongue-in-cheek concepts like 'Elvis is alive' or Harry Potter nights. The drinks program emphasizes mostly classic cocktails, with a small selection of wines and a few rare, sought-after beers, and is run by owners Judy Ho and Jake Karmin, formerly of a shuttered Virginia-Highland pub." - Beth McKibben
