Google
What a cute spot. Stopped in for a cold drink and to use the bathroom in the middle of a hellishly long wait selling clothes in a cramped crossroads, what a relief to find this spot. I look forward to coming back. I like the pineapple hops cider the server recommended.

Google
Redfield is such a dreamy place to spend some time drinking the most well curated selection of ciders (and beer & wine!) anywhere we've been in the U.S. The owners, Mike & Liv, are so knowledgable on the products and generous with their time. We've visited several times and the staff is always incredible. Chill vibes, a great place for a little day drinking or pre/post dinner sips. Fantastic bottle selection of ciders from all over the U.S. and other parts of the world. 10/10 the absolute best!

Google
Great spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome selection of beers, coders, and wines. The “Sunset Rubdown” by Humboldt Cider was fantastic. Everyone here was super nice, and being in close proximity to so many things (like BART) was great.

Marissa Marsh LoVullo

Google
Great cider tasting room. There is a variety of cider on tap and excellent flights available. The store also offers natural wines. Bar, indoor tables, and outdoor tables are available for seating. Highly recommend checking it out!

Google
They have an expansive selection of ciders from all over the world. Thanks to the pandemic, they do have outdoor seatimg, but it is limited and on a first come first served basis. Inside, at least for now, seating is limited to the two front tables on either side of the entrance. I highly recommend getting the smaller sizes to do a tasting to see what you would like to take home!

Google
Friendly staff and great ciders! Cool comfy vibe-- I could have hung out here for hours. Great outdoor space too.

Google
They have a nice variety of ciders with different characteristics, and some other drinks. It was a good experience.

Google
Wonderful space for an afternoon session. Staff are welcoming and super knowledgeable! There is a great cider selection on tap and in bottle backed up by a nice selection of wine and beer. Food was delicious and they’re positioned close to a BART station for easy access!

Yelp
After being at the park with my daughter I wanted to go somewhere for mama, this place has been on my list to try and I was really glad it's a kid friendly space. I ordered one of the cider flights, I really enjoyed all 3 of them. The gentleman was really knowledgeable about the products. So I grabbed a couple to go bottles, in total it was $30 and well worth the stop. I learned I need to drink more ciders!

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
The place is cute and fills the void of getting a drink somewhere that isn't a restaurant or dive bar. They do beer, natural wine and ciders and a few small bites. I don't recall music - so either it was very background or none at all. I didn't love my $15 natural wine, I tried both the rose and the malbec, and would have loved to see a Berkeley one like Broc featured. My friend went with the cider flight and liked 3 of the 4. Service was fine. Not necessarily super attentive, but nice. Overall, solid spot if you truly do love cider or natural wine.

Yelp
This is a lovely spot in Rockridge with delicious and interesting cider flavors. I had a flight with a cherry, kiwi and passion fruit cider. Each was good and not too sweet. I also shared the goat cheese and crackers which had a honey drizzle over it. The goat cheese was rich and the honey cut it well.

Yelp
Love the environment and feel of this place! The only reason I didn't rank five stars is because there aren't a ton of n/a options, but also the whole point of this place is to be like a bar so that makes sense. Love stopping here with friends in Rockridge!

Yelp
When I moved to the US from the UK just over a decade ago, the lack of good quality alcoholic cider was one of my biggest pain points (that, and the inadequate public transportation). It's been wonderful to see that changing over the last few years - from Brooks cider (one of my favourites!) being readily available in every Trader Joe's to spots like Redfield opening up! We walked past during COVID and grabbled a bottle but I finally managed to come back and sit at the bar this past week with a friend. Fantastic menu that has a good selection of CA sourced ciders and more widely sourced ciders - not just apple too, you'll find everything from strawberry to pear cider as well here. I enjoyed the California tasting flight - the pours were generous and I wouldn't recommend going on an empty stomach! Can't wait to come back with my wife for a future date night tipple!

Yelp
We are all happy in these parts when we can celebrate an anniversary among all these store closures. Today was Redfield's 5th anniversary and they were pouring a special pink apple cider, had a musician and a special hot dog on the menu. When we arrived all the seating was already taken so we stood at the parklet railing. The server brought our drinks to us after ordering at the bar. We also had a dog with us and they are not allowed inside. We eventually got a coveted outdoor table - there are only 3, and shared it among 6 of us friends. The line to order grew as time went on, but surprisingly there was no line for the single unisex restroom in the back when I went. There are paper menus and a menu on the board. The staff is happy to help you select. They also have beer and wine and a few small snacks. I have been a few times over the 5 years but it's not as convenient for our group as I travel with a lot of friends and dogs. If you can get the parklet spots on a nice day it is ideal! Inside there are a few seats at the bar and tables. Very easy walk from Rockridge bart, paid street parking or free residential parking. They have hot cider alcoholic and non for cold months, but unfortunately for me it is too sweet.

Yelp
Wow. Just happened to stumble upon this place while we were picking up some pizza next door. Who knew natural wine could taste so delicious. Love that they have flights so we were able to try a handful since we are pretty new to natural wine. We loved all of them so much. The inside is perfect for hanging out or catching up. Such beautiful decor and vibe. Some people even came here to study and do work which I loved! Will definitely be back if ever in the area!

Lawrence W.

Yelp
Had a really good experience here. Really good menu with high quality ciders, natural wines, and even beer. They also have bottles of cider like a wine shop/bar would have. Reasonable prices that make me rather come get an interesting cider here than a meh beer somewhere else.

Kirstin W.

Yelp
Nice variety of ciders and beers. Outdoor seating is great. Inside is also nice for hanging out with friends. Super friendly staff!

Yelp
Such an awesome spot to explore a variety of local ciders! Met up with a friend here about a month or so ago and we really enjoyed ourselves. Redfield Cider Bar is located right in heart of Rockridge off of bustling College Avenue and specializes in local ciders, wines, and beer. I've been getting more into beer lately but realized that I haven't dabbled too much in the cider game. We met up on a late Saturday afternoon and the weather was perfect outside. They have a cute patio parklet with heat lamps. Since it was a gorgeous day out, we decided to sit outside on their parklet to soak up the sun. You order at the bar and they'll deliver everything to your table. Since it was our first time there, we both decided to grab cider flights. They offer a nice variety of ciders as well and wines and beer on tap. Normally I'd be all over the wine since I'm a huge wino, but is was super excited to try out some different ciders. Flights are either pre-set or customizable. We both decided to customize our flights based on the descriptions of each cider. I love that they offer vivid descriptors of the taste of the ciders as well as labels. I went with the Humboldt Peach, Hemly Mandarin Pear, & DuPont Bouché Brut de Normandie. All of the ciders were tasty but my favorite was the Hemly Mandarin Pear. At first I thought that I would like the Hemly the least because of the mandarin, but it had these lovely tropical notes and it wasn't too sweet. My flight of 3 heavily poured ciders costed less than $15! Price-wise, the flights are ridiculously reasonable! Especially when you realize that one glass of wine would usually cost this much and would be the same size as one of those cider pours. Granted it's cider and not wine, but still; the deal is REAL ladies and gents! They also offer some light bites but will allow outside food. My friend ordered an empanada which she mentioned was very tasty (I brought in a chicken salad from Bakesale Betty down the street). Although this isn't a full service establishment, the staff is super friendly and helpful when it comes to cider suggestions. They also sell many different bottles of cider, wine, and beer, for purchase. This was such a nice little find in the neighborhood and I'm excited to come back again.

Yelp
This is one of my recent favorite shops, both to purchase beverages as well as to stop in for some drinks and a bite to eat. I am a recent convert to natural/biodynamic wine and have been on the search to figure out what I really like. My first time here I was recommended an amazing chilled red by one of the staff. I've also stopped in for their cider flights (the nectarine wine is delicious!) as well as a glass of the natural wine they have on their menu. To be honest I think their by the glass selection of wine is just okay, and I would recommend just purchasing a bottle and drinking it there with a friend. The food options are pretty solid, I've had the empanadas as well as the honey baked brie and while they're both a bit pricey, pair well with the beverages and are delicious. Super cute spot to come but it does get quite crowded past 7 even on a weeknight so I like to come a little earlier in the evening. You won't be disappointed if you like cider and natural wine!!

Yelp
Came here with a friend for an afternoon tasting session. We sat at a corner table in the parklet out front, which was perfect since the sun was out and the weather was unusually warm. Flight of 3 Ciders 'Build Your Own Flight' * Ross - England * Ethic - Sonoma County, CA (Petaluma) * Dupont - France ** Champiñones Empanada: Mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions, spices Place your order and pay inside, a server will bring your beverages to you but this isn't a full service joint. If you need to make a change you will have to go inside. Still, the staff are very friendly and drinks are served fairly quick. I was surprised at how filling that single Empanada was. It arrived hot, with a crust akin to a fresh baked Marie Calendars pot pie. If you know, you know. The pepper jack cheese provided a subtle spiced flavor that complimented the caramelized onions. It was cheesy and delicious. I would order again. My palette must have changed within the last 2-3 years because beer just doesn't have the same pizazz for me. Cider has been a refreshing alternative. Hands down the Dupont came in first place, duh it's from France. Have you been to Normandy or Brittany, France? It isn't known as the largest producer of cider in the world for no reason. Earthy, full-bodied and strong. Surprisingly, coming in at a solid 2nd place was the Sonoma County, Ethic. Crisp, fruity and fresh. This would be perfect on a hot, humid day or paired with a citrus salad. My least favorite was the Ross, similar to it's color it tasted like water mixed with some other substance I just couldn't place. It was not terrible, it just had zero flavor. Their menu offers a wide selection of California, US, and international ciders. Purchase inside or order from their online store. Since we sat outside, I didn't spend much time inside but would love to return for another tasting and purchase a few bottles for home.

Yelp
This has become a go-to for me and my partner when we want to celebrate (we live nearby). The ciders and nat wines are eclectic and tasty - I keep getting the draft non-alc cider, it's awesome - and they rotate their food options and hook you up (gluten-free cracker substitutions available for the cheese/meat board? heck yeah!) Servers are super nice and attentive. Places like this make me wonder what's going on when I go somewhere and have a bad time. Y'all have the magic. Thank you and we'll be back!

Viviana M.

Yelp
Sometimes you need a mid day cider, or beer, or wine... you know where I'm going with this. Came in on a Thursday afternoon for some me time, and was shocked at myself for never seeing this place. Redfield will now definitely be a staple. The shop itself is super cute with relaxing music - you know to make work just a bit more bearable. The selection of cider is amazing - and having that hot cider on a chilly day is a must do this fall! I recommend the Mission Trail Cherries - It's the perfect amount of sweet and boozy, and the color is beautiful! It was described to me as kind of like a port but in cider form and being aged in a barrel (I can't remember what kind of barrel) - so just the right thing for me. Over all 10/10! Great drinks, friendly staff, and you can even buy some bottles for to go! Do yourself a favor - get a drink this weekend and if you're cold - get a hot cider.

Yelp
Cider heaven! I love cider, why haven't I actively been searching for cider bars?! In addition to cider, they specialize in natural wine and beer. They have cider flights available and you can also build your own flight or order 4 oz pours of cider on tap! What a treat to be able to try so many ciders. When I went, they had the Panama cider on the Juice Box Flight. It was delicious!!!! Super fruity and yummy - read the description, there are like 8 fruits involved somehow in the making of one magical cider! For the fruity alcohol lover, you won't be disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a choice to sit indoors or out. Cute seating either way. You can even take growlers or buy a bottle/4 pack to go!! Overall I just loved their wide cider selection - they had stuff from all over internationally and domestically - and the lovely cider wall is organized by geographic origin. Please pay them a visit! I need to come back and fill my growler lol.

Josephine M.

Yelp
Redfield is a cider bar with a fantastic selection of ciders that you can try, with many more available for purchase by the can or bottle. If you're unsure of what to order, they have tasting flights available or you can choose your own flight of 4 oz pours to try a few yourself. You just order at the counter and they bring it to your table. There's both indoor and outdoor seating on their parklet. Everything I've tried here has been delicious! The menu changes pretty frequently, so it's hard to recommend favorites since it'll likely change by the time you visit, but one of my favorite canned ciders to take with me is "you guava be kidding me" - it delicious, fruity and sweet. I would say if you're unsure of what to order the staff is super helpful and can recommend some bestsellers of their favorites, and the menu is super accurate as well - it's not like wine tasting where the flavors are super subtle, they're usually very obvious! One cider I tried said it had sage in it, and it had a beautiful, strong sage scent - so definitely read the tasting notes. They even serve small snacks and food here if you're hungry, like empanadas.

Jocelyn T.

Yelp
Great ambience, loved the wonderfully curated natural wine list. Service was quick and friendly. Food looked tasty but will need to try next time.

Katie Y.

Yelp
Came by last week to have a cider flight. I enjoyed the outside table, ciders, and service. You can order a pre-set one or customize one (there's no savings either way so might as well customize). There are ~10 options for cider, and flight pour is between $4-5.5. Some are sweet, some are crisp, and some are kind of funky - options for everyone! They also have beer on tap, wine, and snacks, but I didn't try any of those. They have 3 tables outside, and a few tables inside, first come first serve

Paul H.

Yelp
Had a great time at Redfield trying two different flights of ciders. You have to order at the counter first and can open a tab if you like. We were told the menu of cider options subject to change so the current menu was slightly different than what was available in prior posts. Decided to try the Flavored Faves (Blindwood, Shacksbury Rose, Dwinell) and Build your own flight (Son Of Man, Far West, Mission Trail). The server mistakenly gave us the Dwinell but we decided to just roll with it. The ginger based Blindwood and fruity guava based Far West were our favorites of the bunch. Also ordered a side of crackers and hummus which was a nice addition. We came in mid afternoon in a Sunday and wanted to sit outside in the sun but all of the tables were taken so we were able to grab seating inside. Overall this is a low key spot to meet a friend or date and have a chill time.

Kenneth R.

Yelp
Redfield had been on my radar for quite a while. I got a chance to visit when an old friend who lives in Rockridge suggested that we get together at the end of the afternoon. I was the first of our group of five to arrive at the shop. After discussing the menu with the Redfield folk, I ordered a glass of the Mission Trail Farmhouse Perry, a pear-based cider from Bradley, CA. The perry was delicious! I liked the feel of Redfield and was delighted to find that one of the outdoor tables was opening up just as the rest of our group arrived. We spent a happy 45 minutes outdoors discussing life and (of course) cider. I wondered when I arrived whether Redfield had a restroom; indeed it does, and in fact the restroom is clean, spacious and apparently very well maintained. There's also WiFi in case you want to upload cider video to TikTok, or whatever. The network password is cider-appropriate.

Mark M.

Yelp
Friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and most importantly a wide selection of amazingly good cider.

Stella Y.

Yelp
I'm in love with this cute little cidery! They have a small indoor but a patio outdoor with heat lamps which I appreciated. You can get a flight which we opted for. The notable favs were the Christian Drouin which was a pear cider and fairly sweet and Mission Trail which tasted like a fruit punch with a mix of pear, grapes, guava, pineapple, cherry, blood orange and kiwi. We like the Mission Trail so much, we pretty much tapped them out! Protip: you can bring a growler home for whatever you like. I'll definitely be coming back to hang out!

Hannah L.

Yelp
Incredible atmosphere and selection of cider and wine! And kind service in top of that too.

Karen B.

Yelp
Wish this spot was closer to home! Staff is always friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Good for a solo beverage or catching up with friends. Perfect for cider lovers to try a custom flight.

Gerald R.

Yelp
I DON'T DRINK UNLESS I HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT Last December I went to a pub in Berkeley that specializes in sour beer. I didn't know what to expect. At the end I wasn't a fan of sour beer as it reminded me of kombucha tea I had growing up. About a month ago I went to this cider bar after watching "Hamilton" in San Francisco. I didn't know what to expect when I went a cider bar. I had to admit I assumed cider would be those alcoholic ciders you buy at grocery stores. As I looked at menu one item that intrigued me was Gurutzeta, a cider from the Basque Region in Spain. I've heard that cider is one of the specialties in the Basque Region so I ordered that particular cider. In addition I ordered prusciotto sandwich. My approach to drinking is very European as I need something eat with my drink - whether I was in London having an ale with Shepard's pie, or in Rome sipping wine with pasta, or in Munich drinking wheat bear while munching on a crispy pork knuckle. My first initial reaction when I sipped the Basque cider it had the bitter taste that reminded me of the kombucha tea. However when I had the prusciotto sandwhich it helped elieviate the taste of the cider. In fact I enjoyed my cider more with my prosciutto sandwich. My only knock is with a variety of selection of ciders I wish there were more food items that would compliment the ciders. The food doesn't have to be heavy but something that enjoyable to drink with cider. If you want to have introduce yourself to cider drinking. This is a good place to start.

Jessica M.

Yelp
A cute store with an assortment of cider offerings! Being a cider fan as opposed to a beer fan is hard. There are so many breweries, but the only cider options are Angry Orchard at most places. So glad places like this exist. They have an extensive menu of cider options, with beer and wine offerings too. I like my alcohol sweet, and so the bartender recommended the Big Flavor Flight. I quite enjoyed it. I wanted to try their Guava cider, but they had just run out. I appreciate that they do smaller pours, so you're able to try different flavors. The store is pretty hipster and modern. They have bottles of the ciders too if you want to take some home. A few of the ciders had sold out the day I visited, and they said that they'll be replaced with new ones. Definitely give this place a try if you're into ciders!

Kevin L.

Yelp
I love Redfield and it's a shame we can't enjoy cider flights there right now. On our last visit, we lounged by the front window with two flights, just vibing, admiring the bottle displays, and flipping through the many books on apples & ciders. They were also serving wine and beer, and I believe they had small snacks for sale. We've ordered two boxes of the Fresh & Fruity collection as gifts in the last few months, and they've been big hits, particularly Far West's You Guava Be Kidding Me and Finnriver's Black Currant. Delivery was easy and we just had to show a 21+ ID on the porch.

Madison O.

Yelp
cozy spot. good cider options and the food was good too. nice people who will give you good recommendations too.

Leah V.

Yelp
Love this Cider spot. I'm not a beer drinker, and get excited whenever I find a spot that specializes in cider! Redfield has an incredibly expansive collection of ciders. Floral infusions, pear, cherry, and watermelon juice ciders, wine/cider hybrids.... Redfield has it all. Back before covid, I loved getting flights to sample the wide variety. Their shop is open for to-go and pickup orders during covid. I stopped by a few weeks ago to try their hot cider with French pommeau. It was a cozy spiced bit of loveliness in a cup. Check out their cute spot on College Ave and support a small, local business during covid!

Sahra K.

Yelp
Stopped by Redfield for the first time for a little date night. We each did a cider tasting and then shared some small bites. The cider was amazing! The food was good, a bit pricey for the small portions, but I'd go back!

Danielle K.

Yelp
We got to Redfield around 3pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. There was no seating at the time and there was a line to order but by the time we placed our orders a few tables opened up. Perfect timing! We didn't have to go back to the bar to grab our drinks, they were brought to us which was nice. The place is clean and modern, definitely a nice little spot to try out. We had both the "This Must Be The Place" flight and the "Big Flavor Flight". I loved that each flight was totally different, the first being more funky, tart ciders, while the Big Flavor having sweeter, fruity ciders. I also tried the Finnriver Black Currant Cider and WOW!! Definitely tasted like a rich, sweet jam.. I loved it. I hope they rotate their draft ciders often because I am excited to try more!

Lori C.

Yelp
nice establishment. however surprisingly unsafe location. car rental window was broken at 5:00 and belongings stolen in broad daylight just down the block while we spent 40 minutes here before our daughter's commencement from Berkeley.

Justin S.

Yelp
I arrived Friday evening for some post-work beverages. Upon entry, I noticed the tasteful interior decor- part industrial chic (you know, what every cafe and tap room looks like these days) and part home vineyard with the rack and ceramic backing. Additionally, the space, despite its cozy size, did not seem at all cluttered. The cider selection - 10 ciders on tap with additional bottles available - seems reminiscent of a small beer tasting room or tap house. The various ciders I sampled seemed immaculately flavorful. For example, the Cherry Springfield I ordered tasted extra tart, yet the cherry did not impart a harsh astringency or acidity to the aftertaste. The palate remained crisp throughout. For cider aficionados, this venue will not disappoint.

Ellie R.

Yelp
really cozy cute space, especially if you get a window seat with your date! The lovely staff is so so nice helpful and accommodating. Oh and the wine is divine :)

Hannah L.

Yelp
Came here with some friends and it was so nice! We sat in the inside area and even though it was cold, there were nice heaters that warmed us up. We got the juice flight and had fun trying all the different drinks. Not a cider expert here, but it was super cozy vibes, drinks were good, and staff was friendly! Def want to come again (-:

Jackson D.

Yelp
Wonderful selection of excellent ciders (and some wine and beer), complimented by helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Megha T.

Yelp
Low-key and friendly place to come for drinks with folks! A great alternative to an overpriced cocktail bar or grungy dive bars. The vibe here is very welcoming, calm, and clean, which I appreciated! Seating was limited on a Sunday at 5ish (went around to Zachary's to put our name down for a table and came here during the wait) since it's definitely a small shop. Lots of ciders for purchase (cans and bottles) and drinks on tap! You have to order at the bar, but there are small tables for sitting. Folks next to me were reading books and magazines and enjoying some of their small bites - definitely a move for next time! I ordered the Eden & Ginger Peppercorn ciders ($8-$10) each and both were great! Bartenders were knowledgeable about the ciders and offered great recommendations when I asked them for certain types. They were also patient when I asked for tastes of different kinds, which I appreciated. I'd highly recommend the Eden if you're looking for something strong and sweet. My boyfriend got the cherry cider from their dessert ciders, and it was delicious - kind of like a spiced port! The dessert ciders tended to be more expensive ($15ish), stronger, and smaller portions since a lot of them are imported. Overall ambience was great, and I'm happy to see a cool addition like this to the neighborhood.

Sarah S.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places in Oakland. Awesome selection of ciders and beers, really nice staff and a cozy environment. We recommend it to all of our friends and frequent it often!

Mariana D.

Yelp
Cider house so glad you're here! I kind of dislike this 1st wave / 2nd wave/ square root (whatever) beer fad going on in the Bay Area. But it makes these unique gems even more apparent and appreciated. Redfield is a relatively new business and had a grand opening around January 2019. The bar is small , very intimate if you'd like to bring a loved one or catch up work some friends. Can I also say it's spotless and they play the best alt r&b and all around great music ??!! Sit back and listen to Anderson.Paak and enjoy a !$20ish cider flight (my Personal fave was the dessert flight ! Higher alcohol content ~ 14%) Loved: - size options. If 8 or 6 oz is too much Than size down your order to a 4oz pour - premade Flights , in fact you can craft a flight based on most of Their options -personal fave ciders : COLD HAND DANICA ICE CIDER (14%) & EDEN - yes- they have like 10 types of beer options - food !! Loved the kuku and salad (kuku is basically a stuffed frittata) - the yogurt dips are amazing Avoid: - I kinda disliked the CHRISTIAN DROUIN cider. Staff told me it was funny (much appreciated!) And now I now FUNKY cider ain't my thing. It left a foul taste on my tongue yuck ! - umm I mean I guess $10-$12 is ok but the $20 dessert cider flight was pricey given the pour was 1oz each - is prefer a combo charcuterie board (meat + cheese) instead of having to purchase each separately

Yelp
Redfield CIder Bar & Bottle Shop is a re-soled upgrade of a nameless shoe store. it's nearby a Barney's burger spot. husband and wife team of Oliva and Mike have street creeds in the cider and draft beers biz. not just 1st time entrepreneurs sole to speak. decided to buy a few bottles to drink in the safety of my domicile when a sudden (rain) downpour casted doubts on my driving visibility if i drank and tried to drive home. (didn't regret decision. found great taco place slow driving later also!) -offerings: cider & beers on draft, cider in bottles off-sale (to go) -tanuki cider (9, 8.5%, 12.6 oz) "after all" santa cruz dry, quick buzz, definitely lst drink to get buzz.., apple by "5 mile orchard" -shacksbury, dry craft cider (3, 5.5%, 12 oz.) fresh vermont apples, get high with bernie, not with these apples. -ethic ciders montage, petaluma(19, 7.6%, 750ml): organic apples, wild cranberries, wild pears. (contains sulfites) nice smoothness. on draught: -not disappointed by recommedations. went more upscale than suggested. glad Mike wasn't trying to upsell. lst time in cider bar. definitely not last. cider buzz quicker than craft beers. -picked tanuki off their "draft" offerings. shows Redfield know their pours/brews. would follow their recommedations. -would definitely repeat if i found parking. Mike seemed surprised when i told him i found one. (not in Trader Joe's either).

Yelp
I stumbled across this place today by accident, and what a find. I'm so happy. They have about 10 ciders on draft as well as beers. They also taste some ciders that are in bottles. Everything I tried was really tasty. You can get 3 cider sampler or just buy them individually. My favorite was the ginger and peppercorn cider. They have a huge variety of apples and other fruits as well as still and sparkling cider. Plus it's just two doors down from Zachary's Pizza so you can come have some cider while you're waiting for your pizza to be ready.

Yelp
Only been here once but had a great experience. A little $$$ but typical for the area. Not the biggest beer, wine and cider selection, but there's sure enough something on the menu to suit your platter. The highlight was the cheese and meat boards. Along with our wine, we had a tasty board of cheese and meats including pate, cornichons and mustard. Real friendly staff and very accommodating!

Yelp
So excited for this place to finally open. I've been keeping up with construction since I first heard the news of their opening, and was so glad to get to visit during their official grand opening weekend. I love finding a huge variety of interesting ciders, especially the drier and funkier varietals from England and Spain. I had the Oliver's cider, which I had heard great things about but couldn't track down until finding it at Redfield. They also have plenty of local ciders -- I'll definitely try one of their samplers next time I visit. They have a kitchen (I sampled a great octopus dish), which also means that they are kid-friendly -- I brought my five year old. There is a small cabinet with some fun games, and a couple non-alcoholic ciders for children. A great addition to Rockridge!

Yelp
Really great little bar and bottle shop. Incredibly thoughtful and well-curated cider collection with a dozens of rare bottles and glasses to try and buy. For people that love ordinaire and punchdown, this is your new little cider bar. They also have a small selection of wine and beer, as well as snacks. The service was exceptional and the owners were obviously dedicating a lot of time working there. Definitely a new local spot to check out and relax after work and on the weekends.

Yelp
Thank you for taking the time to walk me through the options. Everything I bought was tremendous. Loved the chance to shop local as well. Made this Seattleite happy to make the stop.

Yelp
Half a year later and this is still our go-to spot to impress visitors or just when we're craving some cider. Also since my last review we've joined their cider club! It's never more than $40 for 3-4 bottles and there's usually a bottle that's limited edition so you know you're getting something special. When you go to pick up your bottles (every first Monday of the month), you get to try them out which helps with figuring out which ones will be saved for special occasions at home and which ones will make great last-minute gifts for parties.

Yelp
Been on a cider kick lately. Obviously, this requires going to every bar that specializes in cider. There aren't very many, but Redfield is a great one. This cute establishment is a newcomer to the East Bay. It isn't very large, but it's perfect during off hours when it isn't crowded - you can get a table and pull up extra chairs. They offer a limited but yummy food menu, mostly little plates. The ambience is sweet and cozy, clean and modern. It doubles as a bottle shop, so features rows of upscale cider options along the wall. Best bet is to try a flight or two, which offers three glasses of different types of cider, so you can really get the lay of the land. We split two different types of flights - the sweet and fruity, and the traditional and earthy. Both flights were delicious, and cost was reasonable. Lack of parking is a downside, as is the lack of table space, but this place is pretty freakin great.

Yelp
So I'm gluten free and there goes most beer. Wine has been done plenty but cider, considering I can really only do hard ciders and now seltzer's, which is another review all together, this was a place to try while out of town. I dig it. Good atmosphere, everybody was chill and I got a flight for some varieties to sample. It's not to sweet and I was presently surprised by the overall experience. The staff was interactive and down to Earth. Patrons were friendly and strikes a conversation. Wanna come back next trip.

Yelp
We were strolling on College and found ourselves curious about this inviting cider bar. I'm not a beer drinker so I'm glad to see something other than a taproom. We sat at the bar and ordered a few 4 ounce samplers to try out. Most ciders on tap come in a 10 ounce full pour and all of them are available individually-priced at the perfect 4 ounce taster size. I've had ciders before and have not enjoyed them until now. It could be because my palatte has changed over the years or perhaps, it's because Redfield did a fantastic job curating its cider menu with such tasty options.
