We visited this restaurant to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday. The staff greeted us warmly and led us to a table in a room that felt like a secret garden. The wine selection was excellent, but unfortunately, the food was deeply disappointing.
Our waiter began the evening in a friendly manner, sharing stories of his experiences in France, which initially gave us confidence in his knowledge. However, the dishes quickly fell short of expectations. The meal started off decently, but each course declined in quality rather than improving. For a bill of over €600 at a Michelin-starred restaurant, one expects a true Geschmackserlebnis (a culinary experience) and this was not it.
When my father politely mentioned that the mushroom dish could have been better, the waiter reacted dismissively, by shrugging his shoulders, collecting the plates without a word and walked quickly away from the table. His attitude was not only unprofessional but left us feeling uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. He even stopped serving our table entirely, passing us off to a colleague.
This behavior really made the experience very uncomfortable for what should have been a special occasion. Between the underwhelming food and the poor handling of constructive criticism, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It has left us hesitant about visiting other Michelin-star establishments in the future. If a fine dining restaurant cannot accept feedback with grace and professionalism, it may be worth reconsidering its approach to hospitality.
