"At the helm of his own restaurant since 2019 and with a splendid starred experience under his belt, Romain Bonnet crafts a creative surprise menu of Asian inspiration: the ‘omija’ is a Korean berry known to feature the five ‘flavours’ in perfect harmony. Romain is unswerving in his dedication to taste: radish and seaweed gnocchi brilliantly play on acidic notes as shrimp adds a well-judged spicy edge. Flawlessly cooked, gutsy stocks and irresistible big-boned sauces. The produce, mostly organic, is painstakingly sourced (common shrimp from la Cotinière, Oléron Island, line-caught pollack, Vendée squab). An infectiously cosy eatery with unstarched, yet seamless service." - Michelin Inspector
"It’s no surprise that chef Romain Bonnet previously worked under the tutelage of Pierre Gagnaire in Paris; Bonnet’s style is bold and creative, and he’s got a particular gift for teasing out ingredients with a blend of savory, sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy flavors. Hence the name Omija after a Korean berry known for combining those five flavors harmoniously. Expect dishes such as spider crab from Loctudy in amontillado with minty sunchokes and an eclair filled with mandarin cream and Yunnan tea. [$$]" - Lindsey Tramuta
High standard Japanese venue serving delicious and fresh food. Service is as you could expect from a Michelin star restaurant, and the atmosphere has a calm and relaxed japanese feeling. Great experience overall!

My first time eating lunch at Omija , I havehad the full evening experience before . I was so pleased that the over all experience was amazing. Shout out to scallop dish this time around and the great call on the wine from the Som 👌

Highly creative, Romain’s cuisine is trailblazing new horizons combining simplicity, naturalité and intensity.
We took a little promenade in the woods with nettle, French beans, veal and à smoked millefeuille from another world.
Highly recommended!

Romain the chef is rude and a snob. Terrible attitude. We had a request which he responded by stating ‘we can leave his restaurant if we didn’t like his terms”.. There should always be a nicer way to engage with your customers and Romain doesn’t have that decency and curtesy to his customers. The food is good though

A wonderful gustatory experience to remember! It was one of the best and definitely the most original meal I've had in Nantes. We went for the special seasonal menu themed around game meat. Very impressive flavours and pairings (the most memorable for me: the hare à la royale, the pâté en croûte, the little bites at the beginning of the meal such as a kind of frozen beetroot candy, the little tarts with wild herbs and the guimauve with pine needles' infusion at the end of the meal). The wine recommendation went perfectly with the two main plates since they shared the same wild berries notes. The whole meal was a flawless mix of tradition and creativity.

Had lunch on inpulse. Beautiful food. But unfortunately quite under-seasoned and tasteless. Service was good but waiting over 15 minutes to receive the menu is a little long for a quiet lunchtime.
