The 35 Best Restaurants in São Paulo, Brazil | Eater

"Cepa made its home in the Tatuapé neighborhood, instantly becoming one of those comforting local restaurants that seems to have been around forever. Chef Lucas Dante serves organic-inflected cuisine while sommelier Gabrielli Flemming pairs everything with a concise, smart wine selection. The menu options are few but satisfying. There’s always fresh fish, along with simple, delicious recipes such as breaded pork loin with potato salad, spaghetti carbonara, and braised mussels on toast with peperonata and pil pil sauce." - Rafael Tonon

Cepa

"If you like the idea of a seasonally inspired dining experience, escape São Paulo’s hectic business district and head for this unassuming restaurant—located in a residential district close to the São Luiz hospital. Here, chef Lucas Dante—who runs Cepa with his sommelier wife—focuses on creativity, ensuring that his cooking is always fun and based on products sourced daily from the market. The tasting menu is available in the evening and is a worthy option." - Michelin Inspector

So glad I was finally able to get in here! This is a very hipster and very vibey small restaurant with one of the most interesting modern menus I’ve seen on this trip to São Paulo. My server was lovely and helped me through the menu-ended up deliberately over ordering a pastel stuffed with Comte, beef tartare on a brioche with anchovies and a tuna ceviche in the most delicious sauce. Star of the show was the fish on rice, packed with flavor in every bite-but pricey but honestly soooo delicious. Definitely splurgy by Brazilian standard but was one of the best meals I had in SP!

Fantastic. The concept of the restaurant is to have everything produced by small producers. Moreover, they produce their own burrata, compote and jams. they cure their own meats. Service is very good. my whiskey sour was fantastic. Wine available is from small producers and biodynamic. My one complaint: my deassert was meant to be with kefir ice cream

Lovely place with it's original menu in which almost everything are made there from scratch like yeast, bread and sausages. I definitely recommend going during the week for lunch and you can get the executive menu that offer excellent quality dishes with affordable prices. Please do not miss the ginger and lemon drink with sparkling water.
