Local brewery featuring guided tours of the 60-barrel facility, plus a taproom pouring craft beers.
"The closing of Rev Brewing was one of the notable closures in Chicago's dining scene in 2024." - Ashok Selvam
"Climb the stairs to Revolution Brewing’s taproom, a taproom that doesn’t hide the fact that they do, indeed, make beer. The large bar is inviting, and the American flag in the back has become an Instagram-friendly spot. The tappings are unique — you won’t easily find the beer selection they offer at another bar." - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman
"Revolution’s taproom, 3340 N. Kedzie Avenue, won’t be impacted. It opened in 2012 and was one of the first bars in the city to able to serve beer made on premises. The taproom is going strong. They just secured a city permit to put in solar panels to the building and hope to invest more in the venue." - Ashok Selvam
"Revolution is a massive taproom with some of our favorite beer in Chicago. It’s a great place to hunker down for hours during the winter, but since they don’t serve any food, it’s important to plan ahead for sustenance. Luckily, the brewery is a five-minute walk from Honey Butter Fried Chicken, which means you can improve on one of the world’s best combinations (fried chicken and beer) by adding honey and butter to the mix." - josh barnett
"Revolution is the state’s largest independent craft brewer, and it recently purchased a new Avondale brewery with a cavernous taproom up a short flight of stairs. The space is ideal for large gatherings and the bar usually has a special draft offering — say a variant of Deth’s Tar, the brewery’s barrel-aged stout. There’s the occasional pop-up, but delivery is the best bet for food." - Ashok Selvam
