Gandria

"Chef-patron Adriano Peroncini is originally from Puglia, but his years of travelling took him through Italy and far beyond. Since 2016 he has had his own restaurant, here in Zurich's Seefeld district. In this nice, cosy space, where an inviting atmosphere reigns, he introduces diners to his fresh southern Italian-inspired cuisine – good choices from the menu include the octopus or Piedmontese Fassona beef and, of course, the delicious pasta dishes! In addition, there is an exclusively Italian wine list that covers most of the wine-growing regions, as well as "servizio alla maniera italiana" – authentic service that will make you feel at home!" - Michelin Inspector

"Gandria is a hip spot for a more gastronomically adventurous Italian meal. For dinner, you can either select the five-course tasting menu or pick from the extensive, carefully crafted a la carte options. Items riff off of Italian classics with twists, like a starter of Parmigiano-Reggiano-flavored ice cream." - N.A. Mansour

Gandria is a true gem for gluten-free dining in Zurich! The menu is clearly labeled, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, making the whole experience stress-free. I never felt like a "difficult" guest—quite the opposite! Almost everything was an option for me, including gluten-free pasta and naturally gluten-free gnocchi. What I ordered: Warm Burrata by the Spoon – with Piennolo tomatoes from Mount Vesuvius and Colata di Alici. Flourless Gnocchi – with "Bianca di Como," buffalo milk, Guanciale DOP, pepper, and Cacioricotta. Cremino Piemontese 2.0 – so delicious I forgot to take a picture before enjoying it! The atmosphere is small, cozy, and romantic—though it can get a bit loud when the restaurant is full. The service was impeccable, and I felt completely at ease. Highly recommended for anyone looking for outstanding Italian cuisine with excellent gluten-free options!

Food was great - got the "experience" packet with 5x dishes. Unfortunately, the dishes were coming very slow (3.5h for 5 dishes) and we were unlucky to be in a situation with new service personnel and had to ask for everything twice. Also note, no parking available - worse as of summer 2024, due to plenty of construction occupying the streets around. All these made the whole experience not that enjoyable for us.

Modern Italian Cuisine with Creativity I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Gandria, and it was an unforgettable gastronomic experience that beautifully marries innovation with tradition. From the moment we arrived, the attentive and knowledgeable server, Fabian, elevated our evening with his impeccable descriptions of each dish and spot-on recommendations, ensuring that our meal was nothing short of perfect. Our culinary journey began with an Amuse Bouche featuring a beetroot tartlet paired with an eggplant and tomato sorbet. This combination was incredibly refreshing, setting the tone for the inventive courses to follow. An unexpected delight was the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, an off-menu surprise that showcased a remarkable flavor profile and demonstrated the chef's creativity. One standout dish was the Burrata al Cucchiaio, complemented by Piennolo tomatoes sourced from the Vesuvius volcano and anchovies colatura from Cetara. The addition of puffed rice introduced a unique and delightful texture that elevated the dish to new heights. For cheese enthusiasts, the caramelized red onion from Acquaviva paired with Parmigiano Reggiano ice cream is a dream come true. While the combination is exceptionally flavorful, it presents a unique taste that might be an acquired preference for some. The Smoked Risotto riserva 7 years with Morels and Elderflowers was beautifully presented and showcased a subtlety in flavor that, while sophisticated, could benefit from a more pronounced taste punch to fully captivate the palate. However, the ever-popular truffle linguini did not disappoint and remains a must-try for any visitor. The true star of the evening was the Salted Cod in tomato tempura with spicy honey and homemade sea Giardiniera accompanied by crispy Sakura mushrooms. This dish was light yet retained the fresh essence of the cod, and the spicy honey added a game-changing kick that perfectly balanced the flavors. To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the cassata with a modern adaptation, which we highly recommend. This dessert beautifully melded traditional flavors with contemporary techniques, providing a satisfying and memorable end to our dining experience. Overall, Ristorante Gandria excels in delivering innovative cuisine paired with outstanding service. Fabian's expertise and attentiveness made our visit truly special. Whether you're a local or visiting the area, Ristorante Gandria is a culinary destination not to be missed.

I had lunch there a few times and it’s always been excellent: tasty, good atmosphere, decent prices with varied menu options. I haven’t had the chance to try in the evening yet, but can only assume it would be very lovely (their tasting menu looks really good)

Food is well prepared and the ambience and lighting are beautiful and relaxing. Each dish has an array of flavours. I would have loved to meet the chef - always good to see who’s behind the scenes. The disappointing part was the service of the waiter. Inside the restaurant, he appeared to be friendly. The restaurant opens at 18.30. The waiter saw me at 18.15 but refused to open the door for me. He made me stand outside and wait until 18.30. He saw me but walked past me pretending he didn’t see me. Not even polite acknowledgement. It’s amazing the level of ‘customer service’ shown in an upscale restaurant and his facial expression 180 degree changes when you enter the restaurant. Disappointing to say the least. Sometimes food can be great but that experience goes down the drain when the people who are the face of customer service is not on par with the chef’s culinary skills.

What a great experience. It's an upscale restaurant with very tasty food with great care to the presentation of the food. The veal magnum were really surprising: they are shaped like an ice cream but it's made of veal. The place is cozy and not too noisy (thanks to the lack of big tables). The service was very good and friendly but the food was very slow to be prepared (I believe we kind of arrivés slightly later than everyone else and the restaurant was 90% full). Overall our meal lasted 2.5 hours, which is a bit too much to my taste.

5-Course Dinner at @restaurant_gandria in Seefeld. The concept of the surprise menu (5 courses/ 96 CHF) is nice, especially for a group. The courses were well balanced and made for an interesting and definetly filling meal. Unfortunately not all were as good as expected. The burrata and black popcorn pig (picture 1&3) were a 10/10, the pasta with truffle & mushrooms 7/10 (mushrooms had an aftertaste), the parmigiana 4/10 and the tiramisu with pistachio cake (made with with panettone bottom, which reminded me of homemade dessert with leftovers) a 6/10. My friends meat (beef) was not as good as expected from such a restaurant. Hard to say if I can recommend this place, especially because we did not like the service and it was too expensive for what we got (especially a la carte).

Without any doubt a 5 stars review! Really loved the discrete setting, the sincere hospitality, the amazing dishes and the delicious wine. Very high level. One of the better Italian restaurants ever been. The chef Adriano Peroncini also very accessible, honest and open to collaborate. Will definitely go back when there is a special occasion with special people.

Yelp
In the heart of Zurich, Switzerland, La Muna is a fusion restaurant serving Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. With dishes that combine the finest aspects of both cuisines, the restaurant provides a novel and inventive dining experience. Delightful cuisine can be found at La Muna. Flavors that are both complex and explosive adorn the exquisitely presented dishes. Anticuchos de Wagyu, grilled Wagyu beef skewers accompanied by a chimichurri sauce inspired by Peruvian cuisine, and Ceviche Nikkei, a traditional Peruvian ceviche refined with Japanese components, are my favorites. La Muna also provides exceptional service. They are consistently delighted to assist patrons in selecting ideal wine and dish pairings and are courteous and well-informed. The restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance and a refined, sophisticated design. As an establishment of international caliber, La Muna provides an exceptionally singular gastronomic encounter. I would suggest it to individuals searching for an unforgettable evening or a special occasion.

Yelp
HAUTE CUISINE and unusual Italian food, EXCELLENT service. I was in this Neighborhood for four days, and this was the only restaurant that I felt provided excellent food for the prices that they charge in that area. Great service. It was a wonderful experience and a wonderful evening at Gandria. Do yourself a favor, if you're willing to spend the money that this area costs, go to Gandria. It is worth the price.

Yelp
One of the best service experiences ever. Extremely accommodating. Outdoor seating option and nicely decorated indoor eating area. Food was excellent. Had the goat cheese terrine starter which was nicely presented. Main course was a angus beef for too with asparagus risotto. Expertly prepared, remedied and paired nicely with risotto. Portion size very generous given prices. At the end we had the "Kein dessert" which we ordered given that showed quite a sense of humor by the chef. Beautiful presentation and excellent choice. The area and space was comforting and could be your perfect go to for guests or a nice evening out.
