Legit salads and place. Super glad we ran in for a quick lunch! Hummus bowl is great and kale green salad is nice - might need a little less dressing tho

Lovely and bright cafe serving hearty staples. Egg sandwiches are perfect, french toast to die for, grilled cheese, oatmeal with nuts and burnt banana, porridge stacked with nutrition, fresh salads, killer juices. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan.

Wow, amazing food. Super healthy. I’m stuffing my face with a beet hummus salad with soft boiled eggs, and it’s one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Great coffee too. A lot of the food is grown locally too. The owner Mary is a sweetheart. Overall very local and homey.

Nice place with very friendly staff and delicious drinks and food, at fairly average prices. one of the most pleasant places in red hook!

Rita does it right! I’m still in the process of crossing things off the menu and it never seizes to blow my mind! Also best coffee #9thstreetespresso

Possesses the coolness of the neighborhood it calls home. At first you notice the refined taste through subtle design choices like their colors, cups or fonts. What makes Rita so memorable though is the incredible food behind it. Mary Ellen, the creator and Head Chef of Rita, brings creativity and playfulness to every menu item. Everything is super approachable and so damn good! Rita has quickly made it onto my list of regular stops.

Seems odd to review a place in Red Hook, considering you're probably going here anyway if you're in the area. That being said, I wish more new cafes took after Rita. Good understanding of atmosphere, simple & healthy menu (Egg Sandwich is well worth the $9), and, most importantly, friendly service all the time. If you're like me and have lost faith in my generation's ability to put together a respectable place, renew your faith at Rita. My only qualm? Point blank strip of mirror at the wall bench. No one should see themselves that closely at 8:30 in the morning. Maybe some painted-on detail to break up the clarity?

Very cute spot with an adorable backyard garden. I had the Oat Milk Matcha which was smooth and milky and the Grilled Cheese which had the perfect balance of tangy, salty/savory and topped of with pickled peppers. Great experience!!!
