The Best Coffee Shops in Denver | Eater Denver

"This community-driven Clayton shop (with a second location in Curtis Park) does everything in-house, from roasting to baking to syrup-making. While it takes its coffee seriously, it also takes fun seriously — which means the crew here is as happy to pour its guests peppermint mochas or chile-spiked hot chocolate with marshmallows as it is cortados to go with the loaded breakfast fries or a peanut butter–banana muffin." - Ruth Tobias

10 Best Coffee Shops in Denver | Condé Nast Traveler

"River and Roads in Clayton is a neighborhood coffee shop par excellence . A roomy, umbrella-shaded front patio opens to a simply decorated but light-filled space dotted with patrons plugging away at their laptops in peace and quiet; to one side, the staff works diligently in the kitchen in back while keeping their eyes peeled for customers at the counter. Owners Michael and Desiree Keen roast their own small-lot beans in house. They and their crew also make all their own syrups, in flavors like lavender and sage, for both java and Italian soda. They do butter coffees, affogatos, French presses, and two different types of hot chocolate as well as the standard drinks. They supplement a large selection of loose-leaf teas with house-made chai. Oh, and they also whip up custom smoothies. They’d probably make their own water if they could." - Ruth Tobias

Google
We aren't in Denver often, but since we heard so many great things about this place we had to stop in for a visit while we were in town. Very friendly service, great coffee and treats, nice atmosphere, and cute decor/merch. I enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Bread, which was very soft & moist. My husband had the coffee cake? And I think it was the Bananas Foster Latte, he really enjoyed both.

Google
Rivers and Roads Coffee in Denver has delicious sandwiches and well-made drinks. The staff is super friendly and the outdoor seating is perfect on a sunny day. Only downside: they don’t have almond milk, just coconut and oat. Still, definitely worth a visit!

Google
was in Denver for a business trip and wanted to check out local coffee spots. SO glad I checked out rivers and roads. My coworker has celiac and the conference area of hotels just didn't have anything quick she could eat. Stopping into R&R not only got me delicious coffee served by the nicest folks, but devious snacks and a breakfast sandwich she could eat! the coffee was delicious and the food tasty!!!

Google
One of my favorite Denver coffee shops. Food is fantastic - try the breakfast sandwich! Coffee is great too. Love the design and all the plants

Google
Fancy coffeehouse food! I enjoyed my Avocado toast with eggs added. Their patio is dog friendly. The inside of the shop has tables to sit at with your computer. I would go back!

Google
I got the breakfast Sammie - cheddar biscuit with cheesy eggs, sausage patty, avocado, aioli, and Sirracha ketchup. It was delicious! We also had a hash brown patty on the side. I’m so bummed there isn’t one in DC - would totally be a regular.

Dan Oltersdorf

Google
Best breakfast sandwich around. Seriously. I wish I could comment on the rest of the menu but sometimes, something is so good you just don’t go to anything else. The staff are next level friendly and welcoming, and the space is really nice, with a really nice outdoor (dog friendly) patio and plenty of indoor seating. The coffee drinks are also wonderful. Great place to stop for a quick visit or to hang out. Highly recommend.

Linda Hilliker

Google
I love this place! So many gluten free options. The breakfast sandwich is so good I sometimes fantasize having one when I don’t have time to drive over there. But no worries! They have frozen ones you can keep in your freezer if you don’t live nearby. Tasty GF baked goods. Great coffee drinks. Really, you can’t go wrong.

Yelp
Rivers and roads is a great coffee shop with delicious coffee, tea, and other drinks plus a bunch of baked goods, snacks, and lunch items. I've personally had the golden milk latte and the Matcha for morning drinks as well as the turkey sandwich with avocado and the pastrami Panini for lunch. The staff always greets you warmly and checks in with you to see how you're doing. Drinks are delivered with a smile, and you always feel like you're welcome to hang out to get some work done or enjoy your coffee or meal. Choose from indoor or outdoor seating - there's plenty of both! Outside has umbrellas for sunny days. Inside has plenty of outlets to plug in your devices and boot up for a day of productive work.

Yelp
Rivers and Roads is a great spot to enjoy: - A nice, trendy coffee shop setting. - WiFi to work from inside. - The outside 'good' dog-friendly patio for fresh air & hopefully some sunshine. We ordered some gluten free lemon donut holes and an oat milk matcha latte with simple syrup. Both items were tasty and quenched the cravings! Left our tummies very happy! The menu has a range of food items to try and they do also provide doggy treats for your furry family members! A nice touch!

Yelp
Great place for any coffee type and atmosphere is very friendly. You'll want to become a return customer.

Yelp
Cute little spot in Denver. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well as some cozy seating inside. I'm not sure if it's Denver or this exact spot, but it was kind of pricey. I wish my avocado toast was more filling... It was very small and didn't have enough avocado on it. The sweet potato fries were delicious, however, and so was the quiche! The quiche looks like a whole meal by itself! Unfortunately, if you're a Matcha lover, I wouldn't recommend ordering your Matcha here. My Matcha latte was mostly ice and milk. it still tasted good. However, I prefer way less milk. Overall, the staff was really friendly and the food was good.

Yelp
Can't get enough of this amazing cafe! Always welcoming, delicious grub and tasty drinks! I got the turkey Sammy and the special donut holes with a golden milk latte- made my day!!

Yelp
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Best coffee shop in Colorado (IMO). I'm gluten-free, but the rest of my family is not and we're always trying to find something that fits our needs and this is EXACTLY that. We were visiting the area and this was on the top of our list to try. We ordered, admittedly, more than we could consume, but everything just looked so great and we wanted to try it all! The breakfast fries and Sausage sandwich were my favorite savory items. My wife found the biscuit to be a little dry, but I didn't mind with the sausage and cheese. Our daughters loved the granola and fresh fruit parfait! Every sweet/pastry item was yummy, but the donut holes were heaven. It was really hot the day we went, so we stuck with iced drinks. We tried the seasonal flavors + the chai and they were all wonderful. Naturally sweet without that too-sweet taste. The perfect balance so you could actually taste the intended flavors. Lastly, the setting is so good. A little parking lot, but it's nestled in an inviting neighborhood with ample street parking (be sure to check out the sunflower garden a few streets over at Columbine & 35th!). There's plenty of inside seating, but the show is the outdoor space that is both kid and dog-friendly! The whole vibe complimented perfectly with a co-joined glass-blowing studio that you can watch as you enjoy your meal. I follow their insta now and I can't say that I'm not tempted to make the 9-hr-drive for a quick weekend visit... mostly for those donut holes! Oh! And I almost forgot! Cherry on top moment was when I went back up to get some drinks to go and the guy taking orders remembered my name... on a busy Saturday morning, he said, "What can I get you, Brett?".... Wow!

Yelp
My cappuccino was not bitter enough, but otherwise was good. I got the vegetable quiche which was well constructed, but not heated throughout. Can't find any flaws in the breakfast sandwich with sausage. The biscuit outer layer had a nice cheddar cheese flavor. The egg and sausage made for great balance. Over all, a solid way to begin the day.
google avatar

Yelp
Always our favorite shop. Incredible coffee (especially caramel) and the rotating seasonal flavors are always tasty. Best donut holes and BISCUITS!!! Everything we've eaten there is amazing! Kindest staff and best vibes in there. Try both locations!!!!

Yelp
Stopped at Rivers and Roads Coffee while in Denver & had a great breakfast! Everything on the menu looked super tasty but I ended up ordering the veggie breakfast sandwich on my friend's recommendation. The sandwich was delicious- eggs, pesto and cheese served on a cheesy biscuit. My husband had the breakfast hash which he said was good. R&R offer baked goods and pastries as well which most or all are gluten free! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which is great because it can get very busy on the weekends.

Yelp
Stop number three on our self-made cafe crawl. This was yet another coffee house that you won't simply stumble upon while walking downtown. But its inviting seating area outside and the catchy name that will have you singing the song all day, brought us to this little neighborhood cafe. We opted for an odd mix that was well worth it. How can you turn down French fries with a dusting of ranch seasoning? You shouldn't. And for a drink, their Italian sodas called out- not able to decide between blueberry and vanilla, we went with both. Perfectly flavored and mixed, the pairing with French fries was unbeatable.

Yelp
In a relatively unassuming location north of City Park lies a cute conglomerate of businesses, one of which being Rivers & Roads. On nice days, it's exceptionally setup for indoor/outdoor space. But even on cold days, it's nice to cozy up with a cup of coffee and soak in the sun flooding the space through the south-facing glass garage doors. The coffee is great! I got my usual cortado, which was served in a small paper cup and featured no "latte art", which was unfortunate. But that's where the disappointment ended, as the flavors were excellent and it was well-balanced between milk and espresso. The space itself is quite spacious even inside, with plenty of plants and unique lighting fixtures. There's ample cafe-style seating. It's a great place to stay and work awhile or meet friends for conversations. Music isn't overpowering, and WiFi is half decent. Not exceptional speeds but 25 up/down is adequate for many basic things. Plenty for me to finish the series finale of "See" in 4K while sipping my cortado! The staff are always pleasant and I would say more attentive than average, making you feel welcomed immediately. It's not exactly in my neighborhood, but it's still a regular spot for me. Seasonal drinks are good and most syrups are made in-house. Food is great. Outdoor patio is spacious and dog-friendly. There's simply not many downsides, if any. Aside from there not being an actual river.

Yelp
Best coffee shop in Denver hands down. Eating out with a celiac diagnosis can be challenging and it's places like this one that make one thing a little easier. The GF food is incredible and some of the best we have ever had. Coffee is delicious as well. Service is super quick! We are now regulars

Yelp
Small but cute spot, with good coffee and service--good for getting coffee and taking it to go/on a walk

Yelp
It's always fun to stumble upon something unexpected when you are least expecting, right? As I've mentioned an umpteen times in some of my reviews on Yelp, I'm always on the lookout for a cute/quaint coffee shop. Today was one of those days because I discovered this great coffee shop in the neighborhood between North Park Hill and Five Points. Hence, I'm being compelled to write a review for it. This isn't just a coffee place with pastries. It's a great place to grab something savory for breakfast or lunch. Not only that, it's very much family and dog friendly, too! In front the store, there is an outdoor area with pebbles with a few benches so you can hang out with your furry friend. Since the temperature was so pleasantly warm on the day of my visit (Dec 4, 2022 to be exact), many were there with kids and dogs to enjoy the weather. We can't miss an opportunity to get vitamin D especially during the cold winter months, right?? The guy at the ordering counter was so friendly and personable. He took my name for my order but after that, he addresses me by name by asking how my day was going etc. I pay attention to this kind of detail each time I go to a store (I mean ANY store) so he was above and beyond )he truly took the time to het to know me!) I got my usual (doppio) and one of the pastries (Donut Stuffed Apple Pie Cookie). It took time before my doppio came out (the lady after me got her drink before me.) I was able to tell that the barista was still working on my drink by observing him from the bench I was sitting (I knew he didn't forget about me.) Once it was ready, he called my name and apologized for the wait. He had to remake my doppio at least one because it didn't come out right the first time (he thus remade it to ensure the quality.) Wow, this barista should receive the barista of the year award!! My doppio was as stout as it could be like Guinness beer (except it was hot). The Donut Stuffed Apple Pie Cookie was exactly as the name says its ingredients. They really achieved the perfection to make this pastry. This place is absolutely amazing; the service to the quality, I mean every aspect of a business should be is all there. I'm impressed!!

Yelp
One of the best iced vanilla lattes I've had in a long time. Cute space with indoor and outdoor seating, and the barista was super friendly. I'd go out of my way to have this coffee again.

Yelp
Upon entering, you notice the cute atmosphere and decor. I ordered the avocado toast and asked if I could add a fried egg to which the response was "we can do sous vide or scrambled". I had looked at multiple pictures and sous vide almost looked like a poached egg so I went with that one. Upon getting my food, the eggs were served in plastic containers. The whites were extremely clear and runny and the yolks were jammy. I ended up scooping out just the yolks. There was a good amount of avocado that I appreciated and the pickled onions were the only thing bringing flavor as the eggs and avo didn't have any seasoning. Although the pickled onions were a great touch, they were tossed in a Mayo like sauce which clashes with the creaminess of the avocado. I was disappointed in the majority of the meal but was impressed with the "gluten free toast". As someone who has consumed copious amounts of gluten free breads, this one was edible and enjoyable. The microgreens were a nice touch. Lastly, the americano was room temperature upon serving which was also a disappointment. Paid nearly $40 for a meal that didn't hold up.

Larson W.

Yelp
The coffee selection is phenomenal. They make great espresso. I can't speak for the whole menu but i've had the avocado toast and the veggie breakfast sandwich and both seemed inedible and were extremely expensive ($16.00 for a SMALL piece of avocado toast with an unripened avocado on it) If I were you, i'd stop in to grab a coffee and head out. There are also only three tables in there with three additional bar seats.

Yelp
Decent coffee place on right on the park Pluses: #1 location, this is my go to when I want to walk my dog to the park. Its gorgeous. #2 the food. I believe its all gluten free, which isn't something im ever looking for, but I do have to respect when a place can turn out great treats with that kind of restriction. The coffee itself, not my favorite, but ok. I swear they dont know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte, which is fine, and Im not a coffee snob, but they always seem more milk heavy than they should be. Also, dont bother ordering online, I thought it would save time. Nope. Maybe at Starbucks it does, but here it puts you at the back of the line. Which honestly I respect because it sucks to be standing in line and watching people come in and get served while you wait. And Ive never waited long just ordering at the counter. That being said, if Im coming here I focus on the teas not the coffees. The teas selection is much more artisanal and probably deeper than anything else you can get in the area without going to a teahouse.

Yelp
Atmosphere - Very Good. The store is a little small. However, it was bright and clean in appearance. There are a handful of tables inside and out. It seems like a significant part of their business is takeout as there are a handful of chairs along the wall for use by people waiting for their order. Service - Very good. But then it is basic counter service. Food - Very Good the Blueberry Crumble bar was a decent size and and tasted very good. The hot chocolate was just OK. Overall Value - Very Good. Prices are reasonable given the quality

Yelp
The first time I walked in here, it was my birthday, which of course they didn't know, but they still treated me like it was my birthday because every single person within eyesight of the front door greeted me. Amazing! Rivers and Roads became an immediate staple for me. The coffee is delicious, food rocks, and the set-up is excellent whether you want to work or catch up with friends. When it's warm, they open the garage doors so everyone can enjoy the weather! Get the vanilla syrup with your coffee, it's divine. The baked goods are a little hit or miss, but such is the nature of gluten free baking. The bowls and sammies are delicious. Their prices are pretty decent. Overall, everyone here is so nice, the food and drinks are good, and it's a great vibe. Long live Rivers and Roads!
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
// Summary Decent coffee with a great vibe to catch up with some friends or do some work. // Experience I ordered an americano, and it tasted alright. Nothing particular special about it. // Service The barista was nice and friendly. My americano came out soon after ordering. // Ambiance Seems to be a great place to do some work or catch up with a couple of friends. They did have some outdoor seating available as well that could be a great spot to hang if the weather's nice. Their big garage doors with windows take advantage of the Colorado sun pretty well. // Convenience They have a small parking lot with a couple of spots available for patrons, but there also seems to be plenty of street parking around. Bathroom was clean. Didn't get a chance to test out the Wifi or look at the power situation.

Yelp
Twice in one week - that's how good this spot is. Okay so actually we've been to both locations to see what's up and both are absolutely amazing. This location is much bigger, more seating, and very pup friendly. The staff was super kind and offered great customer service. Music was awesome, I will always be happy with any spot playing Fleetwood Mac. The food and coffee came out super fast and was super delish. This is becoming one of my absolute faves in Denver!
google avatar

Tammie W.

Yelp
I don't want to knock River & Roads too hard, so I'll be polite and give them a 4-star review with some disclaimers. It's a cute shop, ample street parking, patio seating and space indoors. The donut holes are delicious and loaded with sprinkles and the food going out looked very good. From a coffee standpoint, offering cow's milk or oat as the only alternative is frustrating. Give the consumer more than one plant based choice; especially if you're charging $1 extra for a 2-oz pour in my cortado. Ridiculous. Oat milk is loaded with carbs and makes the coffee overly creamy and masks the taste of espresso. Due to this, my husband skipped a latte and just got a drip. I opted for a cortado instead of a larger drink. We then drove down south and grabbed a latte at Corvus, who offered almond milk.

Yelp
We were chilled to the bone after a trip to the zoo on a rainy day and found this place on the way back to our BnB. There is outside seating and a menu you can peruse before you go in to place your order. We had settled on hot chocolate before we even arrived and they accommodated us. We also had a blueberry, peach pastry. The hot chocolate was barely warm, which was a bummer as we were cold. It was tasty, but certainly not hot. The pastry was very good. This is a cute little coffee shop which also serves some food items.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! Being a gluten sensitive person, it is heaven on earth. I've tried multiple food options & think that their donuts take too prize in my opinion!
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
This place is my go to when i'm looking for a meeting spot/halfway point between Far NE and downtown. The last two trips in have been amazing, with delicious coffee. This last trip in i had a speciality latte w orange and cinnamon, which was a little overwhelming at first but settled in. I knocked down 1 star mainly because my lemon poppyseed muffin was on the rubbery side, even after being warmed up....a bummer because i LOVE lemon poppyseed!
google avatar

Charissa G.

Yelp
Best coffee shop in Denver. Kind and thoughtful staff. Took my Gluten Free kids and they loved their hot doughnut holes and fries. I drank an amazing decaf latte! This is a must visit.

Yelp
I drive by Rivers and Roads all the time and finally had a chance to visit. It's SUPER cute, and I can't wait until the weather gets warmer so I can bring my dogs and hang out on the patio. There's usually a bit of a line, which was perfect because there's so many options and I needed time to decide what to order. I chose butter coffee and smoked salmon toast with avocado. I picked a seat in the corner because I love nooks and got some work done. Hooray for outlets and WiFi. The coffee was great, and there's lovely music and cozy ambiance overall. Honestly I wasn't a fan of the gluten-free toast but enjoyed the toppings. I recognize that it's a tasty, well-made, aesthetic menu item, though. I'll try something different next time. Definitely coming here more often, whether for coffee, breakfast, or lunch... yes coffee is a meal. Awesome that they serve both breakfast and lunch all day. If you can't make it over to dine in, then use their nifty online ordering tool. Oh and they're gluten-free friendly (hinted by my description of the toast) so check out those options too, especially the pastries!
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I went here for coffee and breakfast two days in a row because we loved it so much. The breakfast hash was awesome, and I can't say enough about the breakfast sandwich. I had an iced oat-milk matcha latte and it was delightful. The milk and matcha were blended well (no chalk-like consistency) and I would gladly order this again. Filling without making me feel too full, and this was perfect before heading to the mountains for a hike. The service was quick but I never felt rushed. Will return!
google avatar

Natalie A.

Yelp
On a cold, -2 degree day, we stumbled into Rivers and Roads. The ambiance is bright and clean, with plenty of sunlight through the large windows to warm you up. The coffee selection is huge, and the matcha latte was great with the barista's suggestion of honey and cinnamon. The veggie biscuit breakfast sandwich was AMAZING! It seemed like the thing to get, nearly everyone was getting a biscuit sandwich. Overall, a terrific remote work spot!
google avatar

Hillary D.

Yelp
Super friendly employees and great coffee with fun specials (I got the vanilla rose latte that was incredible). The almond creme cookie was also amazing.
google avatar

Shizar H.

Yelp
10/10 best hot chocolate in the city. Love the look of this place, love the service, super clean, and they even have an outdoor space where dogs aren't allowed. That alone gives this place a perfect rating. Run fast, go check this place out today

Yelp
Finally, I have found my Holy Grail breakfast sandwich in Denver! Everything I have tried at River and Roads is absolutely delectable... and it's all Gluten Free! Now, I am not of the GF varietal, but my fiancé is- so we've made it a priority to search out all of the best GF options around Denver and this is our new favorite by far. The Breakfast Sausage sandwich comes piping hot on a fresh cheddar biscuit- the texture is perfectly pillowy, with a bit of crumble action and tasty bits of toasted cheese around the edges. The eggs are soft scrambled to perfection and the breakfast sausage is delicious as well and a nice size! This beats any GF breakfast I've had, and may I say, stands neck and neck with the non-GF options I've tried! This sandwich is decadent and filling, and I can't stop thinking about it! The staff is always super friendly as well, and the environment is bright and clean with some lovely plants to add some greenery. Please give it a try!

Yelp
I LOVE little local cafes, and this was no different. We were looking for something light to grab for lunch, and this was the perfect spot. The aesthetic is so clean, white tile, hanging plants, lots of windows. So comforting, I want to style my home just like it. I ended up getting the curry sandwich, and it was to die for. It was stuffed FULL of chicken salad with the most delicious curry flavor, sauces, veggies, and micro greens. It was absolutely perfect. Service was pretty quick, food was phenomenal. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite breakfast place in Denver . Love all the Gluten-free items that I can't get in Boston. I go every time I'm in Denver.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Cool cafe! The coffee is great and comes in a large size. I went on a pretty busy Saturday morning, but they keep it moving and I got my breakfast sandwich and coffee pretty quick despite the line. The biscuit sausage sandwich is decent but could use more flavor. Inside the cafe is nice and didn't have to wait too long to snag a table.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Exploring different neighborhoods in Denver is best done by visiting their recommended coffee shops. Today I went to @riversandroadscoffee which was a delight. I tried their Winter Spice iced latte and smoked salmon toast. They're definitely busy so you want to get there before the 10 AM rush.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
All gluten free everything?! I'm in! Everything was great. We got the avocado toast, sweet potato fries, and a blueberry muffin. The butter coffee and iced honey latte was CHEFS KISS. So freaking good. I would come here every day if I lived here.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Delicious gluten free breakfast sandwich. My friend isn't Gf and even he liked it! Super nice people working here too.
google avatar

Sean W.

Yelp
I love this place. It's like 3 blocks from my house, which is super convenient. Everyone here is always SO friendly. Try the breakfast sandwich - it's a religious experience. Seriously. Most of their baked goods are gluten free and you would have NO IDEA - it's all insanely good. Today I tried the vanilla rose latte, and it's unlike anything I've ever had. In a really good way. Stop in and check it out!
google avatar

Brenna C.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this coffee shop, and I was excited to see that they had a great breakfast and lunch menu! Everything is gluten free, which is nice for GF folks. They place has a industrial-chic aesthetic and there are a lot of tables with a lot of outlets. This is a great place to study/get work done. My salmon breakfast toast was loaded with delicious toppings (smoked salmon, pickled onions, cream cheese, and micro greens). The toast was also pretty tasty for GF bread. I can't wait to stop by this place again to study and to try one of their tasty pastries

Yelp
I stopped here on my road trip while heading out of Denver. I have to eat a gluten-free diet so when I heard there were lots of options here I knew I needed to visit! The staff was very friendly and service was pretty quick. The seating wasn't super comfortable so I don't know if I could see myself staying to work. I had a book with me but decided to leave after a few minutes. There's a lot of hard surfaces so lots of noise, not a great reading or study environment for me personally. I got a few baked goods for the road since I had a long drive ahead of me. My favorite by far were the doughnut holes. It's been years since I've had freshly made gluten free donuts! Those who have celiac like me will agree that the freezer ones at the grocery store just aren't the same as the real deal. I'll definitely stop by on my next time in Denver, and hopefully hang out on the patio and pet some cute dogs!
google avatar

Cam B.

Yelp
100% gluten free and you'd never know. No compromise in food quality and the portions are good. The breakfast sandwiches and breakfast fries are amazing. Quiche is okay and the mochas has are a bit sweet. Overall, a great experience, service, and menu.

Yelp
GF dream for those of us restricted! Get there early, for they sometimes get big last minute orders to fill and can run out of favorites.

Yelp
"No gluten in the building". ... "What? I can have anything in this case, even the blueberry muffins the size of my face?" "Yes. You heard me. There is no gluten in this building. You can have anything in this case." I was ECSTATIC. The latte was perfection and the gluten free blueberry muffin literally made my whole trip and made me long for St. Louis to get on board with this type of place... we have plenty of coffee houses but nothing like this comes even close. The muffin was warm, fluffy, and just comfort food to the soul of someone who can't office find "Bready" treats that are safe to eat these days... The yard had a play area with tables - kids, dogs, etc. Recommended by a friend and thank goodness - otherwise I may have overlooked unintentionally since it was a bit out of the way from my AirBnB. Worth it.

Yelp
Very close to work and with outdoor seating options, Rivers and Roads is sure to become more of a staple in my life. They've adapted well to COVID and offer outdoor dining and take out. Their seating area is socially distanced and there is a table with napkins, sanitizer for spraying your table and chairs down before leaving and placadards for safety. For a coffee house with great meal options and no table side service, this worked out well and still keeps everyone safe. Every meal is packaged to go and utensils are available, if requested, when you pick up your food. The process was quite smooth and they've knocked the food outta the park each time I've been there. Staff are super helpful, friendly and laid back. The inside is fairly large but with COVID, all the tables and chairs have been moved either outside or to the side. I'd love to return sans the pandemic and enjoy the indoor space also. My meal this trip included the avocado toast - amazing and so tasty. In the past I shared the sweet potato breakfast fries with my partner and loved that too! Can't wait to return and enjoy another new option from their menu :)

Yelp
Such a great cafe! Lots of tables, easily accessible outlets, and good food and drink. It does get pretty busy so it's a little loud if you're trying to do some studying without headphones. But it's got a lot of space do its good to do a meeting with friends! They've got sandwiches and other quick bites to eat and I'm surprised they have so many gluten free options! Definitely makes it an easy option for meeting up with my gluten-free friends. Overall I really love this place!

Yelp
Holy gluten free heaven however, I guarantee your gluten eating friends will have zero idea nor cares that this place is a GF heaven. After my first bite of the breakfast sammich (which comes on a cheesy biscuit BTW) I just kept repeating "oh holy sh*t" over and over because it was so so so good. I also got an iced latte and that was so good I grabbed another one on my way out with some donut holes. DELISH!! Can't wait to come back here and eat my celiac disease heart out. So flipping good!

Yelp
I love it here!! Everything was gluten free, but I'll 100% be bringing my non gluten free friends here too because I'm confident they'll love it! For starters- the veggie breakfast sandwich is mind blowing! The biscuit it's on tastes like the cheese biscuits from red lobster- if you know, you know. The pesto was so fresh and flavorful! All in all I think it's my favorite breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I also tried one of the rotating pastries- the banana cream pie pudding bread, and it was delectable. So moist and flavorful, it tasted just like a pudding dish but with the texture of bread. The staff here was so friendly and kind!! Everybody I interacted with was so nice and eager to help and answer questions! The ambiance inside was good with chill music playing (maybe a bit loud for intense studying, but a good level for casual work) and strong wifi! There's an outdoor patio with multiple shaded options as well. This was such a wonderful find, it's undoubtedly my new go to coffee shop in Denver!
