Rock & Reilly's USC - Restaurant and Bar

This is a very nice restaurant across the street from the USC campus where the USC fans get to watch the live sports. They serve good yummy food like sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Fight on, Trojans!

Came impromptu and was nicely surprised. Online ordering was nice and easy, happy hour pricing was great for Sunday football service was fast prompt polite and they checked in frequently,, very nice very happy and we will be back Oh and the cheeseburger was FANTASTIC!! Juicy medium gooey perrrrrfect

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I only popped in to try to catch the start of my 25th Reunion meet-up, and had little to no intention of staying because my 2 young kids were already showing signs of losing it. From the moment we walked in, the Security Guard, Eddie, was so kind and welcoming. It was hard not to stay. He even went the extra mile to find out where we needed to go and pointed us to an available table. Our waitress, Tiffany, was stunning, kind, and oh so helpful. The gorgeous manager, Gabi, was an absolute highlight. I was a bit self-conscious about having 2 young kids in a bar, but she calmed my nerves almost instantly. She went above and beyond the call of duty to emphasize that Rock & Riley's was a family restaurant. I likely wouldn't have come in being solo with 2 young kids, but I will definitely make an effort to come back with (or without!!) kids next time! Thanks for showing me and my whānau (Family) some amazing hometown hospitality, Rock & Riley's....you have won a fan for life ❤️ Fight on!

This place was pretty good. The food was actually really delicious, but the service is weird. My waitress was awesome, but you have to scan a QR code to order and pay, and then proof your food comes out. Idk, it just doesn't feel personal or like a dining experience?

Super fun college atmosphere, for people of all ages. Had the BLT with garlic and avacado and it was amazing. During a huge sporting event and big crowd, the staff was so helpful and plesant. A+

Fun atmosphere. We tailgated here. Service was prompt even though they were slammed. Food was delicious… strong margarita and great selection of beer. Overall a great time!

Fantastic place and I’m glad this location is close to our place! Great service and happy and friendly wait staff. The Burger and sweet potato fries were great. The nachos with chicken were insane! We devoured them. Montana whiskey mule drink is amazing! The outdoor patio is dog friendly and very comfortable

We enjoyed our food a lot. We ordered lots of appetizers and they didn't disappoint. The Buffalo Cauliflower was spicy but tasty. Loved the tater tots too. Cheeseburger was good as well.

This is a go to spot anytime we have an event on campus. Usually parking is easy with meter parking on the street. It is self seating with plenty of seating indoors, at the bar and on their patio. Their happy hour seems reasonable and their selection of beer plenty. I was surprised at how delicious and flavorful their wings were. Pizza seemed to be a popular choice among the people eating. Service was quick. Overall, I did enjoy their food I just don't feel like it's memorable, but it's great for a quick bite. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

I've come in at different times throughout the day/week and service is always so slow. Parking- pretty rough. Street parking is bad, they have an underground parking lot but it's across the way and always packed. Drinks- good, only thing that comes out pretty quickly. Food- stick with appetizers, the chicken is watery and food isn't very flavorful. Service- they do the best they can and are very friendly. Don't come if you are in a time crunch or really hungry.

Study hard and party smart collide at this bar. From what I observed, this place is a spot for the students on campus to sip on a craft beer while cramming for finals, a nice balance. We stop by anytime we have a show or sports event on campus since it's conveniently across the street. Service is easy with the self seating, QR code ordering and checkout. Not sure how it works for folks who aren't so in tune with tech. This man over here may not do keg stands like the college kids anymore but I can still shotgun a beer and place my order. Not to be a curmudgeon, but here is my share of honest truths, and I share it with wisdom having experienced bars in various college towns. Food isn't memorable but this is a good place to check out at least once. Preferably outside of a heatwave considering the ac is non existent. Their wings were flavorful. Nachos were ok. Pizza seemed to be the favorite among the Trojan students I observed. HH is more like regular priced hour and cocktails are inconsistent, perhaps why they have a larger selection of beer. But again, worth a try.

Went after USC VS Notre Dame so the place was packed which I am sure impacted the everything. Ordered Nashville chicken sandwich. Received a plain chicken sandwich which was ok. Got the truffle fries that were very good. They let way too many people in so we had people standing all around our table and people constantly kicking our chairs as they tried to squeeze by. Service was not horrible despite the crowd.... Go on a non game day.

Seat yourself, order on QR code, food brought to table. Good food, good vibes. We came to watch some Monday Night Football and Tiffany was so helpful to our table! Would come again. The Nashville chicken sandwich was great, I should have ordered with a side of fries. I tried some of my friends tater tots and they were amazing! The pizza was also good.

Perfect game day bite! Staff is friendly! Beer is cold! Food is on point. Nice pub feel in the middle of USC campus. Parking is a little hectic but hey , it's LA. Happy hour had great deals on food and drinks. Definitely be back soon.

Located in the newer USC Village across the street from the main University of Southern California's campus, Rock and Reilly's serves good bar food and drinks. There is a large underground parking garage that usually has space, which is complementary with a 2-hour validated ticket from a vendor (like Rock). We've been here before as a family when my daughter was a student, but haven't been back for a while. It will forever be ingrained in my memory as the place where the three of us watched the infamous double-doink Bears-Eagles playoff game...I was so sad after that game. A lot of the restaurants in the University village have a hard time making it, so the lineup seems to always be different when we visit the campus. But Rock and Reilly's is a mainstay, and with their outdoor patio that SEEMED to allow small dogs, it was an obvious choice for dinner with my wife, our future-in-laws, my daughter and finance, and their new dog. It was Tuesday, so taco specials were in effect. It is seat yourself, and you order/pay through toasttab on your phone. As you order, somebody will deliver the food to your table. We left the menu up to the kids, but of course I had to gather the important information for my review. Pint of Dos XX (Taco tuesday price of $8.50) - nice and cold, plenty of carbonation. A classic cerveza, perfect with tacos, though LA prices (I wonder what the non-special price is?) Shredded beef taco ($2) - this is a deal. Plenty of really good shredded beef, tender, served on two corn street taco size shells. Comes with a little onion and cilantro. Shredded Chicken taco ($2) - good, large pieces of dark meat chicken, topped with lettuce, crema, cilantro, cheese, and salsa verde. Parmesan Truffle Fries ($9) - very crispy shoestring fries with ketchup, using very clean frying oil. The serving was generous...two orders were more than enough for the 6 of us. Americana Burger ($15) - classic cheeseburger. My wife ordered it plain, and it really didn't look like much, but she said it was good. Favorite Salad ($14) - spinach salad with blue cheese and candied walnuts. I got to sample this a little, and it was very good. It can get a bit chilly (with the breezes) after sunset in LA, even in the middle of the city. I didn't see any gas heaters around, but because the patio is open year round, thinking they do have them but just put away for the season. So yeah, we were all chilly (especially the dog). But everybody had good humour. As I've experienced many times, a restaurant experience can often be more about the people you dine with, rather than the food itself. This was definitely one of those times.

We've had R&R delivered a couple times for work functions and people absolutely love the food, even when it's day old leftovers. I have yet to get down to enjoy the food and atmosphere of the the restaurant, but I can attest to the flavorful and very filling food!

Love the ordering/payment process - no waiting for the check! The food was delicious and the drinks were good too. Perfect place for pre-show dinner before going to the Shrine.

Food: blah. Very basic. Drinks: same Service: can't customize your order, it's all done online. Not a fan Very difficult to get someone's attention, but the couple we did interact with were really sweet. Serve time was loooong. Took prob 45 minutes to get our food. Smart business model, but they really need the ability to customize the order.

We came in with a big group of people and were happily surprised that there was space for us. We ordered right from the table via QR code. We got wings and they were good! Even sauced they were crispy under, which is always the problem you run in to. Service was okay, but it's a busy sports bar, so I didn't expect much more.

ABC was in town for a free concert at USC. We needed something to eat beforehand. Let me tell you, a well made burger at a restaurant is a beautiful thing. The Americana Burger here was seasoned well and cooked to a perfect medium. The burger patty was a good size and had a nice charred flavor to it. I had the truffle fries to go along with the burger. They were crispy and the truffle flavor was good without being overpowering. I think a steak fry cut for the potatoes would have been a better pairing with the truffle and Parmesan cheese topping but these were good, too. It was busy and loud inside the restaurant but service was quick and easy with the QR code ordering system. The outside seating area is less chaotic. The food came out fairly fast for a busy restaurant. I like the ordering and pay system because you can leave when the meal is finished and not have to wait for a check. All in all, definitely worthy of a return trip if I am in the area.

If you're not in a hurry, this place is pretty good. The food was normal bar food, drinks are pretty average price for LA. There is a lot of energy inside, I prefer the patio, especially during the warmer evenings. The service leaves much to be desired in terms of getting your items brought to your table, but the staff are really nice.

came to watch the lafc game last night and this bar was one closest to us showing, had so much fun. the environment was chill, the tv wasn't hooked to the speakers so it was just playlist music instead which was disappointing but we still appreciated the huge tv screen lol there's a QR code in the middle of the table for us to go through the menu to order without waiting for service or feeling rushed and overwhelmed lol that was my favorite part. the food was AMAZING and the drinks were delicious. i will be back again to try other things in the menu since they all sounded delicious! thank you rock & reilly's!

Food was okay (got it like way after we ordered) Service ---who? Sorry they were understaffed for the night but there was an event and graduation happening. Ambiance - smells like raid (yeah the stuff they kill cockroaches with :)

Great pub/ hangover food. Amazing on USC game day. Music pumping. Great vibe. The only issue is that it can get too crowded.

Food here is good just pricey! Kitchen burger has a thin patty for the price (almost $16) but the flavor is good, I added some salt tho. Sweet potato fries were pretty standard, also added salt lol. Nachos were okay, way too much onion for my personal liking. I also got a Sierra Mist and it was so watered down Also their service is pretty slow so just be prepared to ask for anything you need all at once. You order through your phone with a QR code on each table and they just bring it out to you. if you're visiting USC/the village this is really the only sit down bar vibe option close to campus, but if you're willing to drive even a little there's better spots around the area.

I tried to order their half dozen chocolate chip cookies ($7.50) only for a staff member to tell me they don't serve them anymore (but somehow they're still on the menu). Instead, they told me they had a cookie skillet ($9.50), which I opted for since I was craving some chocolate chip cookies. I received my "skillet," a SINGLE cookie cut into quarters. Also, I had to wait over 30 minutes for it to be ready. Truly disappointing. What a rip-off.

Great experience holding a small alumni gathering here on a Saturday evening. We had a long table on the patio reserved and ready for us. Everything was smooth and our party was happy. Our server Tiffany was the best.

Came here for a quick drink and beer here is pretty great. They have a great draft selection and with it being pretty packed bartenders are quick on getting everyone their drinks. It's very lively and they have a lot of big screens to watch the games. Food prices seemed reasonable too. Next time I go to a usc tailgate I'll be sure stop here for some food pre or post tailgate

I've always seen Rock and Reilly's as a USC student passing through the village but I never tried it until today. There was no wait today - Thursday at 7pm - and everything is self service. You order via QR code and it charges each person individually. It's perfect for college students and I think this was pretty smart. As for the food itself, I would say it's pretty average but still good. I got 5 chicken wings for $9.95 - a little steep but normal for the USC area. I got 1/2 bbq and 1/2 honey habanero bbq and I would definitely get the honey habanero next time, it's the perfect spice and sweet flavor. I would try other foods and come during Happy Hour next time. The ambiance is pretty nice since everyone was cheering for the game and made it a fun environment! It was fun getting excited and seeing everyone cheer for the USC teams.

I came on a Tuesday night for trivia. There are also taco Tuesday deals. The deal is worth it. The rest of the food was mediocre bar food. While my chicken sandwich came out piping hot, the fries on the same plate came out cold. The nachos lacked in toppings. 75% of the chips were baked. The house salad promoted black olives but came with kalamata. Face time with a server is very minimal. The host will seat you and provide you with a pitcher of water for the table that's large enough so no one needs to come refill your drinks. You order on your phone and then a runner brings out your food. The biggest ick for me was the lack of attention to serving alcohol. I was next to a table of college students who did not look of drinking age and somehow ordered three pitchers of beer. Not once did any of them get asked to show ID. I understand they are a bar on a college campus, but come on! Not even trivia and the convenience of the location will bring me back here.

This spot is perfect for catching a game or simply hanging out with friends. I've also been here during business hours, and the atmosphere strikes a great balance between lively and productive, making it easy to get some work done. The service is consistently excellent. While it may seem like they cater primarily to USC crowds, they genuinely welcome everyone. Personally not a foodie so I can't be the judge.

Food is just ok. Been eyeing this spot in the village and bit the bullet to try it out. Was not expecting it to be this bad. There was about a 45 minute wait on a Thursday evening. Once we were seated, it took about another 30 minutes for a server to get our order in. Ordered assorted wings and sweet potato fries. There was only one single stalk of celery with our order. Pathetic. 10 pc wings: $18.45 Sweet potato fries: $4.95

One of my favorite places to go to before a concert. The manager already knows us, she's super friendly. Happy hour's great! We've been there for trivia night and it was so fun! We won first prize!! Please don't get discouraged thinking it's only for students. It's a cool spot to have wings or pizza. I definitely enjoyed the grilled cheese and tomato soup.

The food here is bland, disgusting, and overpriced. The pizza especially. Stale old dough. There is also no interaction with waiter since everything is done on your phone.

Stopped in after out son's soccer game. Service was great. We only ordered a couple of appetizers, no complaints. Special shout out to Coach Trey the Security/Bouncer. He went out of his way to make our family feel welcome. And, he helped to pump our son up after a bad game. Great experience.

They allowed my dog! So awesome. I had to kill some time before my ex best friend showed up. Walked here from my hotel. Short walk so this was the place I'm having lunch. I just had some wine and some fries and wings. Fries were good but the chicken wings were starved. Smallest wings ever. Flavor was fine but there wasn't much to eat. You order and pay through your phone. It's easy and fast. I liked the chill atmosphere. Except there were a lot of college kids here. You can just here chatter about the usc school and other liberal subjects that are going on now. That's probably my biggest turn off. The students.

best place ever. food is great and vibes are even better my personal favs are the tater tots, but everything is gas. AND everyone who works here is so nice and fun!

No service here you order by scanner no 1 checks on you to see how food is or if you need anything you order and pay ahead but it has a spot for tip like they will be serving you????? I ordered a burger medium and it was on the raw side drinks were decent but I will not be back

I absolutely love this place. I have been trying to come here every Tuesday for their trivia nights when I have the chance. It's hosted by kingtrivia and the questions are always quite difficult but super fun to do in groups. On a normal weekend the place can be pretty packed but I've never seen a wait more than 30 minutes. The food here is decent. The fried pickles are good and the fries are good but the prices are a little steep for some of the portion sizes. The fried pickles are super crispy and come battered quite well so they can be a really nice appetizer for a small table group. I am a huge fan of the variety with the cocktails, especially the mule variations they offer, where they have 3 separate flavors. The service can be slow. I tried to join the waitlist online and a manager said I couldn't even though it was as I was walking to their place. They said you can only join the waitlist in person, and if the whole party is there which seems a little unreasonable. Other than that, you order on your own time and the bar is open seating so there usually somewhere to sit regardless.

This is the only sports bar within walking distance of USC and has a captive audience. I wish they actually had servers. All ordering is done by a QR code and it is challenging when you have a large group. I took my team out for lunch (8 of us) and I had to write down everyone's order on a piece of napkin before I made my order through the phone. All this place seems to be perpetually warm. Where is the AC? The food and beer is good. I feel bad for the staff who have to work in these hot conditions.

FRIYAY - we came for the sundowners on a Friday because the weather was so beautiful and of course why not ?!! Sat outside and it was contactless ordering ! Then we immediately got our order and all we had to do was to keep ordering if needed! Hubby had the Pilsner abc I had the grapefruit Paloma! Next time we will be back for some food! Customer service was on point and inside is totally beautiful !!

Gabriel has been here for a while and remembered us. We appreciate him and his nice service. Excellent pizzas. Me and the family still come here when we can. Great beers!

The food here was absolutely delicious. I got the cauliflower, soooooooooooo good, with the fresh fries and ranch to match! Whew what an experience.

This place is located within the USC Village. There are outdoor and indoor seats and a lot of TVs. The music is a bit loud when we went there. Also, ordering is contactless so one has to do the QR Code Scanning and you have to pay in advance including the tip without even knowing what kind of service you are going to get. The foods we ordered were good. We had nachos, fried calamari, and fish and chips plus a pitcher of blood orange beer. If you need to unwind within the USC Village, this is a good place to consider.

Just came back from here and this was a "good" pub located on the edge of USC Village. Plenty of outdoor seating and many tv's on the inside showing sports. All ordering was contactless (QR code scanning) and you pay/tip before you get your food which takes getting used to. The food I would say was on the average side. Which is fine. It's a bar! Buffalo wings definition of average (which is good enough for me), fries were bomb and the nachos were mid (lacking cheese and seasoning). Where they excel is having an extensive beer menu and lots of items on happy hour. And while happy hour aint a crazy bargain it still saves a couple dollars nonetheless. Overall this place definitely does the job when you're in the mood to step out and just go to a bar.

I've gone here twice, fish and chips 10/10. The service the first time from the male bartender was horrible so I was hesitant to come back a second time but those fish and chips are just so good so I went again on Tuesday 3/12, the female bartender was awesome I'm glad I gave it a second chance and my fish and chips were delicious as expected! I hope the customer service keeps improving.

Rock and Reilly is located in at USC Village which has free parking for up to 2 hours making it very convenient for the location it's at. The restaurant is located right at the corner and a great view of the campus and as well as the residential/shopping center. There's a great selection of happy hour items like fried pickles, pretzel bites, nachos, etc. They have a wide selection of alcohol for anyone looking for beer, cocktails, or wine. There's an outdoor patio that has shaded umbrellas on sunny days or heat lamps for cool days. If you are sitting inside there's a really nice welcoming vibe. I highly recommend swinging by if you are looking for a bite to eat.

The food here is awful. The Americana burger was hardly edible, but we were so hungry after a long day at USC graduation. The bread is straight cold. The burger seemed like it was sitting. The fish and chips were complete batter. The fries were cold and hard to bite into. The tenders were rubbish. The seasoning was okay but the texture and amount of meat was trash. The crazy part is the food looks so pretty. Everything LOOKS delicious but is gross. However, Abony one of the managers was so nice and was the only one checking in with the outside patio. We had to go up and confront the front desk to get a hold of her to check in with us. Abony was willing to replace one of our items after I requested for just one item. Thank you Abony for having good customer service. However will not be eating here again

Food took over 75 minutes to be brought out because the "kitchen was backed up". Had to pay up front , otherwise we would have left. Way over priced - chicken sandwich with no sides for $14.00. Manager finally came out and agreed to reverse our entire $74 bill.

My Family and I stopped here for a bite. This was Self Service dining, if you wanted a refill on your drinks you had to track down someone who worked there. Place was empty. Food was bland and no flavor. Pizza looked great, but tasted like a frozen pizza heated up. The fries were completely over salted and left untouched after one bite. The burger was the only thing good, cause you can't go wrong with a burger. We were looking forward to this place, but left deeply disappointed. First and last time we will be here. Yeah we should have stuck to the other eating spots at the Village.

Dirty cones on table while you eat, overpriced food, no service, would not recommend, would not return

I can't believe this place is really labeled as a sports bar... the only reason why we decided to come here is because we were in the area and wanted to watch the Lakers game, and obviously Yelp had pretty good reviews for this place. You would think, in LA, out of all cities, and at a place that's labeled as a sports bar, that they will ensure there are different sports and games playing on dozens of TVs they have; BUT that sure wasn't the case. They only had one NBA game playing on ALL their TVs because none of the other channels with other games were working and upon speaking with the manager, she refused to stream the game from my friend's phone that would have allowed us to watch it on at least one of their TVs. Our waitress was really nice, but my drink took entirely too long, about 10-15 minutes, because they didn't have a clean martini glass at the time. Needless to say, manager could care less about this or the fact that we came there to watch the Lakers game and ordered a bunch of food, just to leave once the managers literally said "no" and walked away without any explanation or discussion. Luckily we found another sports bar in the area (901) that had all the games on AND happy hour until 9:01pm (clever!)! Wish we were there from the start...

The fish and chips was a disaster... too much batter and the fish is not fresh either. The burger was okay but still not good. The beer was great that's why I give an extra star

A friend and I met up at Rock and Reilly's last night to grab a drink and bite before a show at the Shrine. I got there first and stood behind 2 empty bar seats with an empty drink and fries on the counter. After standing there looking at the bartenders for over 5 minutes, I asked if the seats were taken, he said no and removed the drink and fries. Unfortunately, he did not wipe down the obvious dirty countertop, so I got a napkin. While it was busy, he didn't say a word to me and I waited another 5 minutes before he asked what I wanted. I ordered a glass of wine and told him a friend would be joining me and we needed two sperate checks, he understood. Another bartender took over for him when my friend arrived and she handed over her card and ordered a drink. We had to flag the bartender to over to order. The food arrived which was edible but nothing to write home about, she had a patty melt and I had a burger, fries were extra $. When we got the bill, he had put the entire food order on her card. Given what I had already seen from the folks working, I gave my friend cash to save time. We went to the Shrine but left early and came back for one final drink. It was not busy and we sat at the end of the bar. Both bartenders were at the other other end chatting away with friends so we had to flag them down for a drink. After 20 minutes we were ready to leave, I saw our bartender and raised my hand and gave the check motion. I know he saw me as he nodded and walked to the register. He then made some drinks and went back to talking with his pals at the end of the bar. Again, we had to flag down the other bartender to get the bill. Needless to say, the service was very bad, but I still gave a %20 tip each time. I get that this is a college bar, and maybe the clientele doesn't care about dirty counters or lousy service, but I do. My suggestion to whomever is running this place is to have a chat with all of your bartending staff and go over a few basics: Acknowledge the customer, clean the counter, pay attention. I can only hope that customers are treated better at their other locations.

I went Thanksgiving weekend and it was pretty slow in the restaurant but all the staff were polite and cheerful. It was also fairly quiet with the exception of the variety of games playing on the tvs. We were quickly seated and we just wanted to orders appetizers. We used the QR ordering system which was simple and convenient. The food came quickly. I ordered the calamari and shrimp, my fiancé ordered the loaded tots. When all the food arrived it looked and tasted great. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is there were small flies/gnats that descended upon the table once the food came. I was really caught off guard by it and there was really no escaping them. I used the electronic fan in my purse and they flew past them. I moved tables and they followed us, not surprisingly. I eventually had to just ask for a box and decided to enjoy my food at home in an environment free of interruption. I don't know what the gnat situation is about but the staff were absolutely clueless as to the fact that it was occurring. I do understand that they can't possibly now everything but someone there needs to get that under control. It really grossed me out. If ever I'm in the area in the future I'll only order takeout.

Came here just to check out the vibe on a Saturday night with my girl friend and her friend but it was very quiet which I didn't mind. I just got a Moscow mule and three blow job shots. The bj shot was like a miniature espresso martini and the Moscow mule was very refreshing. We got hungry so we got their fries and the calamari which were pretty good honestly.
