One of my favorite spots and a must go at the beach! Hard to choose between the fish tacos or the black bean cheese and sweet plantain, both SO good. And the guacamole is fresh and delicious. Add a guava margarita and your good to go.

Fantastic place. The fish tacos are incredible and the Elote was so tasty. Bar is cash for some reason even though the kitchen is all ordered online. Plenty of tables but they do get cramped fast. Food and drinks are great though so it’s worth it for the outdoor space.

Great little hidden germ… Tacos are amazing ( fish and chorizo my favorite) guacamole fresh and chips made in house… Only Cash at the Bar! You order over Instagram which I found kinda interesting… Everything was clean and enough space to let your childs run around. Prices are more than fair… we would come back and recommend this place to everyone. Thanks for the great Hospitality and lunch

Had the fish tacos, elote, and pineapple mint drink, everything was fine/good. You can order online when you arrive. Taco order was ready when they texted the order was complete. Elote and drink on the other hand they make it when you come up to the window and you end up waiting if there is a line there.

I had a great time at this place on a Friday afternoon! Definitely a hidden gem. Tacoway Beach tacos are right next door/attached! The chorizo tacos were great! They have two drafts: Hanalei Island IPA ($7-awesome) and Mahou ($6-Madrid crisp beer, like Stella). Friendly surfer dude bartenders. Did the right thing when some chick asked for a lid to her margarita for her Vespa ride. Ha!! Great place.

This place had such great authentic tacos its ridiculous! Super service too, the guy at the door welcoming and explaining everything was great!

Perfect place to go after spending the day at the beach! I went here on a Saturday with my husband and sister. It was a bit of a walk from the beach... maybe 15-20 minutes. Once you get there, they ask that you leave your coolers, etc by the door. The place was pretty full when we arrived. We sat at a big table with another group. My husband ordered the food (cash only... they do have an ATM there). Food didn't take too long. The fish tacos were delicious and stuffed! I think we have 7 tacos and an order of chips and guac for the 3 of us and we were all satisfied at the end... We also got a couple rounds of drinks. Not much of a line at the bar inside. There wasn't a DJ when we went but they had good music. It was a nice night to be outside. Good food, good vibes. Definitely recommend!

I Always have fun at this place. The local events are awesome and amount of space complements that aspect of this location. I enjoyed both the drinks and food here. Great place to go with friends especially in summer

First time going here today. This cute vibey spot It was a nice cool vibe. Close by the beach and close to the train. The service was good and fast. I signed up for text messages to get a notification when my tacos were ready. You have to order online, they also have QR CODES to scan to get their menu if you get lost looking for it online. Takes you right there to the correct website. They also are connected to the business ROCKAWAY SURF BEACH CLUB. They sell beer and MARGARITAS!!!! lol. So you know I had to get one. Taco and alcohol. Please sign me up. The taste of the tacos were nice. wasn't spicy like how I personally like it but nice where a wide range of people can enjoy it without worrying. The only thing not too sure of to confirm is that I heard that they only open up in the summer. But overall great place by the beach to surf up some waves then finish it off with some tacos and beer.

We always love stopping here after a day at Rockaway beach. They have the best summer beach food! And you can order ahead online so it's way more convenient and less waiting. The fish tacos are a must! You get two per order and they are packed with fried fish filets, cabbage, guacamole, radishes, and cilantro. Super filling and freshly made!

Super busy - they forgot my order and there was a brief momentary argument (civil) about where my god dang food was. I was hangry coming off the surf--sorry. All was good in the end. My incident was a freak accident--but they were so busy and pretty efficient. The place is cool to hang and catch some brew. The place is marginally expensive. Any more expensive (e.g., a price hike of a dollar on any item or brew) would make me consider finding another chill spots in the Rockaways. But overall, pretty sweet place. Take it from me--I'm from Los Angeles, California.

Cool vibe. The manger was kind and welcoming. They have live music in the evenings and kind staff.

The menu here is a little chaotic and confusing, as is the ambiance. The service is hit or miss as well. Sometimes they are amazing, sometimes you'll wait forever for your drink and the guy will act like he's doing you a massive favor to do his job.

Yup they are open!!! The website is a bit misleading. As they are limiting in person interactions, you need to order online (see picture below) or you can place the online order when you show up in person. The wait was relatively short on a beautiful Sunday lunch time. Please note that they only offer to go box option - it is pricey but does come with a lot of food (2 tacos, cucumbers, nachos and guacamole) Plenty of outdoor seating!

I returned here on Saturday for the first time in years and must say, I did not want to leave! My roommate and I arrived after a long day at Rockaway beach and were in the mood to socialize while at the same time, continuing the beachy vibes. As soon as you walk in, you just feel "cool". I used to live by the beach down in Jacksonville Florida and I felt like I was instantly transported back there. There are surf boards hung on the walls and everyone there seemed to be in a great mood, including the staff. We got ourselves a couple of beers then stepped outside to order some tacos and chips/guac. We snagged ourselves one of the few seats remaining outside and enjoyed the vibes. One group even brought their own old school boombox (bonus nostalgia points!). This summer, do yourself a favor: take the A-train to the last stop then transfer to the beach shuttle.. catch some waves.. then walk on over the the Rockaway Beach Surf Club.

My first experience at Tacoaway Beach was back in 2017 when I moved to RB from Brooklyn. Forward to 2021 and I am proud to say that the Rockaway Beach Surf Club is an absolute favorite for a quick bite and a refreshing drink. I do appreciate that their staff is kind and patient. It can get really hectic there over the summer weekends (and some week days). They take your name with your order, and call you out when your order is ready. All their tacos are worth a try. The past two years, they changed their fish taco formula. Its still tasty, but I prefer the classic recipe. I love bringing family and friends to Tacoaway beach. Bravo to them for surviving the pandemic in such a small area.

Lots of fun at this outdoor beach shack. What to expect: lines are long but move quickly. Parking is not easy. Prepare to circle around and avoid parking where you shouldn't out of desperation. We saw cars ticketed and others towed for doing so. The food is great! Loved the fish, plantain & cheese and pork tacos. As other reviewers have noted the alcoholic drinks are meh. At $15a pop you are better off with a beer or drinking elsewhere. The watermelon and pineapple mint non-alcoholic options are better. Also, the guac and chips are tasty. I do not think I would go so far as to say the best fish tacos in NY, but this a fun spot to hang with friends and gulf down some tasty eats outdoors. Caution: seating is limited so large groups should expect to break up at different tables.

Skunky smell as soon as you walk in not skunky weed but stale stink like from a garbage truck. Way overpriced drinks and regular food at insane prices. Nothing authentic at this money hungry dump.

Rockaway Beach Surf Club is adjoined to Tacoway. They feel like one business / operation. We grabbed a couple drinks from the surf club including a draft beer and a margarita slushee. They only accept cash.

Honestly I used to love this place but haven't been at all this year and don't think I will - it's always FILLED to the max with hipsters, no locals at all. I don't have any friends who go anymore - the long wait is getting really tired, and it's just a bunch of kooks, I'm glad they're successful though. Maybe I'll go to an evening event here and there when the kids go back home. I'll always support Rippers on the boardwalk, they're great and everything moves fast, amazing burgers.

This is the best California tacos in NYC. Hands down the place to be this summer. The vibe is awesome and the food is delicious and fresh. I'm fortunate to live in the area but even if I didn't I'd still make the trek to go here! It's packed in the summer time so expect to wait. But the wait is well worth it. Close to the beach but in a residential neighborhood this is a hole in the wall place you want to come back to. Fish tacos are on point here. You won't find better in the 5 boroughs. Made to order the fish is lightly fried, wrapped in a fresh tortilla, garnished with cabbage, radish slices, sauce and a lime wedge. Order at least two because you won't want to stand in line a second time.

This place is great for group outings. I met up with a group of friends, and we had a great time; perfect place to chat and catch up, where the music isn't too loud. The beach is literally a 5 min walk from this place which is cool. The drinks were not my favorite, super strong, literally one was enough. The food was okay (it very much gives vegan/pescatarian vibes... and Dominican vibes, which makes sense because when I went to pick up my food I noticed a lot of my people and bachata playing in the kitchen lol). The bar only takes cash, so come prepared or get ready to pay an ATM fee. The food is ordered through the website, and they text you when it's ready for you to come by the pick up window and grab your plate, which I thought was cool given that there are no waitresses. The only negative feedback that I have is that seating kind of sucks... Basically it's come first come first serve. When we got there, we literally had to stand around for about 20 minutes and wait for a table to clear up so that we can grab it (you have to be alert!). To make matters worse, once we sat down at a table... Because our entire party of about 10 had not arrived yet, strangers started to sit at our table and we couldn't tell them not to. This place is basically do it all yourself... hunt for a table & sit yourself, get up and get your drink yourself, get up and get your food yourself.

This taco spot is absolutely amazing! Ambiance- eating here is a different experience but qualifies for my quality street eats criterion- quality quick and delicious food for under $10. Located on the outskirts of rockaway beach- sits a taco stand/ surf board locker/ beach boys vibe experience. No waiters! You order and hope to get a spot to sit. It's hard to place a label on this cool experience but The establishment has a free art gallery/ hipster/ beer garden feel to it. You gotta go to really understand this review. Cash only! There's a smaller indoor seating area to eat bs outdoor. The outdoor is big- despite that it is very busy. Food- amazing! We ordered 4 tacos and a pineapple mint drink. Very satisfying and inspired us to try and replicate this at home- very hard to replicate. The tacos were tasty- evenly stuffed- consistent flavors and texture through each bite. A very pleasant surprise! Bathroom- yes Cleanliness- it's a public area so we take care of ourselves Parking- street- you may have to circle a few times Love it or dump it- LOVE IT! Will return and highly recommended!

I want to love this place. Seriously. Anything beachy, surfy, nautical is up my alley given how enthusiastic (i.e. obsessed) I am with all things sea-related. This is probably why the fish tacos here were the best part of my trip here...I mean, they're outstanding. Things that made me want to rethink coming back? The crowds maaaaaaaan. My friend and I sauntered in here on a Saturday afternoon after a fun early beach day. It was super packed and lines were rampant for both food and booze - both outside and at their more modestly sized interior bar. Fortunately for them, this is more of an underdeveloped part of Queens and there isn't a lot of food/booze competition nearby. There didn't seem to be any drink specials and beers were mostly $8+ with cocktails being around the $10 mark. Although they looked good, given the long lines and the "war" to maintain a seating are, my friend and I decided to save our money for food...no regrets there tho. I had their fish taco and their beans and fried cheese taco, both were fantastic and even though more costly than your average/authentic taco they were at least above average in flavor and you pay for your ambience right? Speaking of ambience, kitschy beachy/surf n' turf theme aside, there was a DJ outside playing some drum n' bass/house/EDM beats with varying crescendos, lots of thumping bass, occasional auto-tunes/robotic vocals and beat drops galore. People were either doing "the I don't know how to dance shuffle", actually raving, half-twerking, or making drunken fools out of themselves by pretending that they know how to execute complicated rave hand movements. It was like a tiny Burning Man playa in my own borough. All of this made for insanely fascinating people watching. I was mesmerized during much of my time here. The inside bar was blasting more grungy rock music - when I walked (i.e. squeezed my way through a bunch of sweaty people) in they were blasting Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" - this was MUCH more up my alley, but alas there was no real space with which to settle inside with our tacos and beach bags so we stayed outside where I had secured seating/bag space. I might give this place another shot this summer and just come at an earlier time...

Very nice spot after an afternoon on the boardwalk. Got the fish tacos and the black bean, cheese and sweet plantain tacos- all of which were great. We ordered margaritas next store at the bar and ate them with the food. Very surferish localish crowd the day we went, which was pre beach season yet a beautiful day. Very chill environment. CASH only.

Lovely Cali inspired bar in the heart of Far Rock; equipped with picnic table seating, a taco truck with more than just tacos, beachy decor, a full bar, and chill tunes playing in the background. It's without a doubt a great addition to Rockaway! I had the chorizo taco, fish taco, and the chips w/guac to start off. The chorizo taco was good, but the fish taco was better, I was super impressed. The chips were freshly fried and the guac was a bit tasteless, it needed it bit more lime and salt. The watermelon marg is so good, I had myself a few of those. The bartender was great, the vibe is chill, there's street parking, and an atm machine, since they don't take cash-total bummer! I'll be adding this to my Rockaway rotation this summer.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. We sat outside on a beautiful summer day and the vibe was super laid back - service was great. I had the snapper and he had the fish sandwich, both were good. The chicken wings app with Thai sauce was really good too. Our drinks were wack - sangria watered down and margarita unflavorful (good grade of tequila though). We'll be back.

What a great find this is! When the rain is pouring in the Rockaways or you're just looking for a good taco and a place to watch the World Cup, this should be your go-to destination. They have a really laid back atmosphere, great drinks, and an awesome open-air patio for the hotter summer evenings. Tacoway Beach, the taco shop located under the patio roof, offers a great little menu of tacos and sides. Personally, I recommend the elote and chorizo tacos; both were absolutely outstanding. They even have a few refreshing drinks that you can add booze to at the bar, if you don't want the virgin versions they sell at the shop (although they are killer as-is). I don't come out this way often, but I know I'll stop by again the next time I do.

Gave this place a shot after hearing so much hype about it. Also, who doesn't love a summer beach themed outdoor bar on a brilliant sunny day at the end of the summer after hitting the Rockaway Beach for a bit?! It's off the beaten path though. You walk down a series of deserted roads from the beach or if you are smart you'll just hop down over here after getting off the nearest train before going over to the boardwalk. My issues with the place mainly were LINES LINES EVERYWHERE. NEVER ENDING LINES! Oh lord what did I get myself into?! Steph and I first set our beach bags down on some benches when we finally discovered some people leaving. Great, we have seats! No one is going to steal a bag with a beach towel and sunblock in it and if they do, I won't cry over it. Though, when we came back our bags were pushed to the side and some girlies decided to plant themselves there. Lovely. We both wandered off in our separate directions. She went in the taco line and I went in the bathroom line. Both were long but the food line was significantly longer. Bathroom was overall - decent. But there was no toilet paper inside and it was getting to a grimey stage. I love the vibe of the place. Very surfer California. Surf boards everywhere with palm leaves and tiki torches, strung up lights and bright colors. Its groovy. We saw one guy that looked like a darker more beer gutted version of Ruggy was jamming with his beer can and swaying side to side by himself in the middle of a dance patio and this other deuche was trying to draw in attention by dancing with wagging his finger at the ladies. It was some pretty epic dancing. I took a ton of pictures. It was great entertainments for people watching. The tacos! This was the one redeeming quality of the place. That fish taco is a must. Pretty decent portion size, mayonnaise, slaw, radish, wedge of lime, fresh battered fish. It was a true delight. Their quesadillas were less so. That was the other thing I had. It was more like a taco with just white cheese and black beans. Open faced quesadilla? Though, Steph pointed out there wasn't even a char on the bottom of the tortilla and it was just a flat and soggy cheesy taco. The pickled carrots and onions on the side with the green sauce, not the brown (that was gross) were great accompaniments. Drinks? I didn't try them. I heard the cocktails were $9-10ish and I didn't want to find out how much a can of tecate was so I passed. It was the end of the night anyway. I imagine this place is probably better on a weekend that is not Labor Day, but my experience here was a little rough. Come early as soon as you get off the train and then hit that beach.

Let me tell you, Rockaway Beach Surf Club was actually mind-blowing. Gets a little too crowded, but has great ambiance and service. Every single thing was fresh, flavorsome, and really yummy. The crew is really friendly. I really valued that. Yum!

Overall, come to this bar for the cool atmosphere and good music. it's cash only and drinks can be on the steep end. not the biggest selection of wine or craft beer. however, its chill and has plenty of seats. while youre here grab some food from tacoway beach, which is where it's at. worth coming to after a day the beach for some light bites and drinks before hopping back on the A train home.

Spent an enjoyable Friday night here. Thomas is the hardest working man in the business. I liked that he sat people together.'it got people talking. The drinks are expensive but the food is very good, especially the elote. I will come back but avoid the margaritas.

Perfect place to grab tacos after surfing at Rockaway -- feels like mini hidden San Diego tucked away in a somewhat sketchy hood. This place is SUPER busy. The taco line will take at least 30 mins to get through, but they have drink bars set up separately, so you can grab a cocktail and ease the pain of the wait. Tofu taco was pretty good, needs more flavor and seasoning though. The black bean and cheese quesadilla was also pretty good, but again, wasn't blown away. Still much better than most other Mexicali places in NY, and an extra star for cool ambiance. The people that work here are SUPER NICE and very efficient! They move the line quickly and won't give you attitude. Chill, California vibes~~ #happy

O......m......g....... this turned out to be exactly what I expected and then some. They open at 11 so we were there about 1115 and there was only one other couple there. I went with my mother who actually told me about the place and I'm so excited. This is definitely going to be my new spot for spring and summer of 2017 So I got an ice coffee, with a tofu taco and a fish taco both with guacamole. My mother got a mint and pineapple juice, with a fish taco and a chorizo taco. Oh my God the tofu taco was to die for. I should've gotten more. LOL. The fish I didn't like, but that's partially because I don't like fish. I don't really know what inspired me to order it. My mother loved the chorizo. Super flavorful and cooked to perfection. She also loved her fish taco. We really wanted to try other things but honestly the tacos were so stuffed that we were both stuffed afterwards LOL.

I felt I just walked into an authentic taco stand in Baja, Mexico, but I haven't really left NYC. It's a true gem for the Rockaways. The decor of the bar, from the inside/outside eating areas to the actual taco stand, were all on point. The fish taco is fried tilapia. I was a bit skeptical since grilled fish would be more of an authentic take on fish tacos, but it did not disappoint & I was beyond satisfied with my choice. The pineapple mint drink compliments the tacos & is a must try. I didn't try the watermelon drink, but it looked refreshing as well. I would go here again & make it a thing when I visit the Rockaways.

Amazingly busy venue on Labor Day weekend serving tasty tacos (fish, tofu, beans and cheese) and chips and salsa. Bottled and draft beers mostly $5-7. Definitely worth the wait and challenge to obtain seating. Lively music and predominantly 20-30's crowd. A bit of a walk from the beach. We will return during the week.

WOW! Amazing tacos for $3 and GREAT elote. The black bean and plantain taco was my favorite, but the fish was also really good! It's a fun spot, great way to end a day at the beach.

Best tacos around, better than most nyc places. The guac is awesome and I love the daikon garnish. Brings a bit of the asian fusion. There's also watermelon juice. Cons: a bit far from the beach where we were!

Been hearing about this place for a while. Finally had the chance to go. And then I went again the following day, and then one more time on the weekend. Long story short, best taco in NY.

You can't go to Rockaway Beach without visiting the Surf Club - end of story. Honestly the best Mexican food I have ever had, and sadly dream about it in the cold winter months when I am unable to get it! The club is decorated with tons of surf boards everywhere, and then local finds that were scooped up by the owner after the hurricane - the place is really about community and a haven for local surfers, or people trekking from the city looking for a great escape in the summer. From the plantain chips and guacamole, to the fish tacos and fresh coconut + rum drinks, this place serves up the absolute most fresh and delicious of food and drinks. The line for the tacoway truck is always long, but I promise it goes extremely fast and is well more than worth the wait. The fish tacos here are my favorite and the best of any that I have had anywhere and although the guacamole portion seems small, its definitely enough and the plantain chips are delicious enough to keep you full! For drinks I love to get the fresh coconuts - from there you can either just drink the fresh coconut water, or take it to the bar and ask the bartender to add rum of your choice for a refreshing drink. This goes the same for the fresh watermelon juice you can get where its great to make a fresh watermelon margarita; you honestly can't beat it. The place gets extremely packed during the summer for people coming to and from the beach for a snack, or after beach hours to eat and drink. They also screen movies on a large projector screen which often shows surfing films and other vintage screenings throughout the day and night. I can't wait for it to be summer to head back here - a summer and Rockaway Beach staple for sure!

A must-go if you're stopping by Rockaway beach! The bar is very spacious, with lots of standing room and some high tables along the walls. They serve up great cocktails (loved the watermelon margarita) and have fresh juices if you're looking for something non-alcoholic. The patio outback has a nice backyard feel to it, with lots of picnic tables to offer seating. The downside is that it's not particularly shaded, which can be a little much on a hot summer day. The food line can get pretty long, but definitely worth it. The tacos are cheap ($3) and delicious, and the other food they sell looks amazing (looking at you, Elote). One last thing to keep in mind - CASH ONLY

Nice ambiance, great fish tacos for just $3 (extra charge for guacamole). But this place is really crowded on weekends. It's a hipster invasion! Almost like an outdoor L subway train, so unless you enjoy spending a long time in lines, go during a weekday.

Robertas by the Sea. Hipster Paradise - with the ambiance to boot. Kidding aside, this is a really cool spot to check out when in Rockaway. Sure the lines can be long grabbing fish tacos and drinks. But both are worth it. And because this establishment is unlike anything out here. You'll get over having to walk far from the train or putting up with no parking. More of a day drinking destination (before going to beach). But I'm sure at Night they have live music and local bands. RBSC gives the neighborhood a lot of character.

Came here during this past summer. Ambience: Very Cali vibe. Food: Fish and chicken tacos were amazing and their guacamole was pretty good. Drinks: Frozen Margarita hit the spot. If you go to Far Rockaway beach, this place is a must. I wish this place was closer to Harlem I would come here all the time!

Great spot for tacos! I'm a pescatarian and there were four of five options for me to choose from. The elote had roasted pine nuts...GENIUS! To drink I had the pineapple mint beverage- refreshing, healthy option. Laid back ambience with surfer vibes and lockers to store your gear! Definitely a great choice when visiting the beach.

Well, what an awesome place to have tacos. We were pleasantly surprised to see the new location more ample and full of life. We've had tacos here before but never sat down because of the lack of space. This time we split up one person secured a seat while the other tried to find the end of the line. It was sooo packed (on a Sunday) when we got there. But its the summer time and totally understandable. The line wraps around the entire seating area into the back. But staff are super friendly, Justin was super helpful to us and helped us find the end of that line even when was in the middle of relocating some heavy boxes in the back. We enjoyed fish tacos, "quesadilla" which was more like a taco with grilled cheese, beans and sweet plantains and guacamole and chips. We can't wait to visit again! KEEP IN MIND CASH ONLY they have convenient ATM's and bike parking out front!

A visit to Rockaway Beach Surf Club was a mini vacation. Plants galore, fresh-squeezed juice, and friendly crowd make for a really fun time. You feel like you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life despite the passing elevated train. The margaritas are worth trying, and at $9 a pop they're a decent deal and fairly strong to boot. The beer selection is limited, but that's not a big deal since a can of Modelo makes a lot more sense in this setting than a pint of stout. We didn't get to try too many of the food selections beyond the tacos, but what we got was decent. The fish and chorizo tacos were fine but nothing exceptional or unique. I would definitely like to check out more options to see if they're a bit more outstanding. The fresh-squeezed pineapple and watermelon juices were the real stars of the show, and having the option to drop in $2 shots of rum or vodka made them all that much better. Decor and ambiance here can either be charming or kitschy depending on your mood, and I definitely fall into the first camp. Considering you're a few hundred yards from the water, the surf shop makes total sense even within such an urban setting. The atmosphere is certainly casual and feels like a backyard hangout at a friend's place. I can't wait to go back throughout the summer. The Surf Club is a nice escape to the frozen tropics of New York without the hassle of TSA, crying babies, and other madness of travel to a beach resort.

I must say I felt a bit discouraged because this place was away from everything but to my surprise it's a hidden gem. The tacos were very good and flavorful. It had toppings you usually font find in tacos which once you take a bite it explodes in your mouth and please dont even let me get started on the green sauce !!!! I cant stress it enough when I say YOU HAVE TO TRY IT !!! I had the fish taco and papa con chorizo taco. I also had the elote which was again very flavorful

Great atmosphere. Good service. Nice selection of drinks and reasonable prices. I'd definitely like to go back; didn't try the taco pop-up outside. It is a relatively large place, but popular too, so I am betting they end up with a line to get in on busy days.

If you're lookin for somewhere to go and get tacos and a few drinks after spending some time at Rockaway Beach, this is a pretty decent place to go! They have a pretty big outdoor seating area which is perfect for the summer night with a huge awning too. Perfect because the day we went it was pouring, too bad it was already packed. The inside has a couple small tables against the wall and a bar. The fish tacos ($3.50) were decently yummy. Not a lot of fish but still good. If you want to add guac to anything, you have to add a dollar which is meh They have frozen margaritas for $10 and other beer for $5. The frozen margaritas are pretty strong so beware! Only thing that sucks is that the place is cash only. They have a little ATM near the front where you can withdraw. Fee was $2.50. Overall a chill place to go and hang out with friends after a relaxing day at the beach!

I would say I am a fan because soooo many surf film/art events are held here and it truly is a great spot. Tacoway Beach has great fish tacos... I have a slight resentment towards them moving to this locale from their original Rockaway Taco Shack Location in the 90's because the quality and menu was a tad better... but eh, what can you do? This place does get extremely crowded though, so, if you aren't into the wanna-be surfer scene mixed with the actual-surfer scene then probably best to avoid this spot or grab a delicious frozen marg or two and bolt. Don't try to bring your longboard into RBSC after surfing on a Sunday in the summer.. because before you know it, you won't be able to get the board out without putting it on your head and crowd surfing it out the back gate!
