We just returned home from our first dining experience at Roko, and WOW, what a dinner it was!
As we entered Roko, a beautifully decorated elegant Christmas tree greeted us. Additionally, Vojka was very welcoming when we arrived, and throughout our entire visit. Crystal, our server, was friendly, attentive and magically appeared at the right times throughout our meal - perfect!
Started off with mussels marinara (very tasty!), octopus salad (tender and delicious!), and a bowl of lobster bisque soup. Yum!
We each ordered the grouper piccata special - one with angel hair pasta (which was the standard), and the second, substituting risotto for the angel hair pasta. Risotto was absolutely the best I’ve had in a very long time, as it is usually very salty at other establishments - not the case at Roko! Deeeeelish!
Dessert was a ‘must’. In-house made vanilla bean crème brûlée and limoncello cake (my fave of the evening) were the perfect choices to conclude our time at Roko.
Thanks so much for a wonderful dining experience in Wilmington!
Note: During our dinner, we noticed that although each table was occupied, and with low-volume soothing music playing in the background, we never felt the dining room was loud, or that you could not hear the conversation at your table. A welcome change, and nice atmosphere.
