"Before catching a show downstairs, first catch the show upstairs, which is to say the unbeatable panoramic city views from Roof Deck. Open seasonally from April to October and weather permitting, this sunny, open-air spot serves burgers, pan-style pizza, beer, cocktails, and other easy, tasty food and drink options from Show Bar downstairs. The scenic outlook is one of the best in the central Buckman neighborhood, with a grand view of downtown and the hills to the west, the striking profile of Mount Tabor to the east, and Portland’s lush, woodsy neighborhoods all around." - Zoe Baillargeon

"Atop Revolution Hall in the historic Washington School is the appropriately named Roof Deck at Revolution Hall. Open seasonally and dependent on the weather, The Roof Deck offers a knockout views on the east side, and even with the constant construction in Southeast Portland, visitors will still be able to watch the fireworks with a drink in hand." - Alex Frane

Attended a show at show bar but stopped at the rooftop bar ahead of time for drinks and to check out the amazing view. It's absolutely gorgeous up there both day and night. Staff members were so sweet and lovely to interact with. They were happy to make modifications to their special to suit my taste. The drink was great. Specialty cocktails are going to cost you a little more but that is to be expected. If you want something a little cheaper you can get a whiskey coke for $8-9. There is also a very large beer selection downstairs if you prefer that and you can bring it upstairs. The view is stunning. I will definitely be coming back and I'm glad that our friend from out of town was able to see such an amazing view of the city.

I posted basically the same review on revolution Hall as I wasn't sure if they were split up in terms of the review pages on Google. Definitely a very very cool spot and when my boss recommended to meet here, I wasn't sure what to expect. What we got was some great beers in hand while overlooking the city, which was such a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. The staff was beyond friendly and easy to talk to. Definitely will be returning the next time I'm in the Portland area. Thanks again guys for the great experience.

You are coming here for the view - and the view is worth it!! This place has a fantastic overlook of Portland and when we came for a drink the sun was out and the rooftop patio setting was wonderful. The drinks are fine and served in plastic cups. I do enjoy drinks served in glass better, I think it compliments the overall experience and flavor. The vibe is casual, and we did not try the food. When looking at what food was being served, it seemed to be basic bar food - nothing exceptional. I got a glass of chilled Chardonnay, it was pretty good and refreshing for a hot summer afternoon. I will mention that the staff was not particularly friendly compared to the other restaurants and cafes we went into within the city of Portland. This did make the overall experience a little less nice - our waiter just seemed like he really did not want to be there. I would not come to this place for the food, drinks, or staff. I would absolutely come here to experience the rooftop patio setting and get some photos with the epic view of Portland as your backdrop. Come here for a pre-dinner drink and photo session, then head to another restaurant for your main meal.

This was my favorite place. I came here on my birthday today because I love it so much. Ordered a margarita and did not like it (normally wouldn't ever send a drink back, but it's my birthday and I wanted to enjoy the drink). The bartender said to me, "What's wrong with it?" When I couldn't answer quick enough, he said,"It's a batch made in house margarita, I know it's good." At that point, I said I'm sorry. I was just hoping to try something else. And he said "well what do you even want?" He was so rude and talking down to me. I kept my drink and walked away (never drank it as it was not to my taste.) I was a server for years - I understand this business, but I've never been so disrespected. I'm never coming back to one of my favorite places, which is so sad. Highly do not recommend. And no he never made any effort to apologize. Really ruined my day.

Great rooftop and bar, with beautiful views back to Portland city, especially at sunset! Service is ordered by yourself at the bar, paying as you go, with plenty of seating areas on the roof terrace. Staff are friendly too - definitely worth a visit in the evening, the sunset was really beautiful from the roof!

Giving 5 stars for the roof view alone, drinks are pricey and you have to come a little early to snag a table (first come first serve) but overall a great little spot for drinks and good conversation. The food selection on the rooftop is limited, but you can go downstairs and order food at the Show Bar and take up to the rooftop. This is built from an old renovated high school, so the outside is a little unassuming, but cool refurbished interiors gives some old school nostalgia.

Neat deck and cool concept, a bit overly Instagram'y though. Food is fryer food from the first floor bar that you get yourself and drink service is slow. You are basically there for the scene and it shows. Lot of groups dressed up wanting to look good. No huge views of the city or anything but in the Summer it's hard to beat being in the warm breeze with patio lights at night. Love how they saved the old school and turned it into something refurbished yet unique feeling.

Great view and cool space- beer and wine served up there, but you can also bring cocktails and food from the restaurant /bar on the first floor.
