"Roost is one of our favorite spots in Chicago for fried chicken sandwiches, and we’re happy there’s an outpost in Wrigleyville. It’s a small counter-service operation, and the menu here has the same fantastic fried chicken sandwiches and biscuits that you’ll find in other locations. They have four varieties, including the house style (with pickles, coleslaw, and chipotle ranch) and the sunrise (with egg, bacon, and cheddar). You’ll get a choice of brioche or biscuit, and you should go with a biscuit - unless you get one of each. photo credit: Christina Slaton" - Adrian Kane

"The Roost Carolina Kitchen is opening a Wrigleyville location at 3474 N. Clark Street, taking over the former Bar Celona space. This will be their fourth location, joining others in Lakeview, River West, and South Loop. The new location plans to stay open late and serve beer, featuring classic Roost fare such as Nashville hot fried chicken, biscuits, and sandwiches. They aim for a late fall opening." - Ashok Selvam

Highly customizable chicken sandwiches with a southern touch. Absolutely love everything on their menu. The Hillbilly tacos are unique and impressive cross between Mexican and southern American flavors. This place has a cozy feel and a little bit of country vibe. Everything tastes fresh and the staff is super amicable and welcoming. They also serve beer and cocktails but the Boozy Shakes set the menu apart. Don't miss.

Absolutely amazing food accompanied by the peak of customer service and satisfaction. The chicken is the perfect balance of tender, juicy, and crispy with an abundance of flavor. The spice levels ranging from normal, spicy, Nashville, and xx have something to offer for palates of all kind. Fries can be a bit on the salty, nevertheless, delicious. Their home-made biscuits and sauces are simply to die for. Their deserts are simple recipes crafted to masterfully compliment the meals or to enjoy on their own. Sebastian the gm and the night clerk Tori, have never failed to send me off with a smile on my face. Definitely recommended, and proud to say that this among my top 5 in the city.

YOU MUST GO HERE!!! GREAT CHICKEN!!! This is now my go to chicken place in Chicago. Super relaxed and cool employees. My wife and I loved the 'chick&ched' sandwich. She thought the biscuit was great. The fries are awesome and there are a lot! The mac and cheese was ok, just not my thing. My nephew loved the tenders with XXX heat. He also loved the coleslaw. The peach cobbler was the bomb. I love the sweet tea. It reminds me of the South! For the people staying across at the street at the Wheelhouse Hotel, just walk over! The Roost is the place to go! My family and I will go back. Every one must go here!!

One of the best chicken sandwiches you will ever have. I highly recommend the spicy version. Biscuits are buttery and not dry at all. Fries are crispy and well seasoned. Mac and cheese is heavenly. Green beans are great. Do yourself a favor and dine-in and get a beer on tap. Roost is unbeatable.

THIS is a chicken sandwich worth tracking down! I love the original but there’s several spice levels to please everyone. It’s great either on the biscuit or brioche bun. Served with coleslaw, pickles and chipotle ranch. It’s a hearty sandwich BUT GET THE SIDES! The peppery Mac and cheese is delicious but the chocolate chip bread pudding....OH. MY. GAWD. It’s worth going just for that! Great food made to order (expect a little bit of a wait depending on the crowd) and worth every penny.

Stopped into this recently opened hot chicken spot for a quick lunch. The staff was friendly and service was good. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries, Nashville Hot, it was definitely spicy and I was sweating, they had a XXX sauce which I want try next time. Dining room was fairly big so I recommend for big groups. They also deliver through online I believe, so call ahead as it's all made to order.

Love this place! Their chicken is simply delicious. I love the chicken tenders and my husband always gets one of the sandwiches. Decent prices, good comes out quickly and is cooked to order. They have a couple of beer options, which is a nice touch! Definitely recommend!

After looking at some of the pictures, I knew it had to be good. Happy to report my assumptions were correct. I smiled while eating it. Got a House on Biscuit, Spicy. Won't be going to Shake Shack for chicken anymore.
