Rosa Mexicano

Definitely another restaurant on my fav list! My friends and I came to the 51st location on Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed our experience. The portions were generous and the food tasted great. I had the enchiladas. The bartender waited on us and he was wonderful. The drinks were exactly how they should be. (flavorful and not weak.)The atmosphere is cute, quirky and cozy. They have both inside and outside dining. Definitely will be back!

First of all, this was one of the best, if not the best, guacamole I’ve ever had. It was so fresh and flavorful! The tortilla chips it came with were delicious, very crispy and fresh and salted perfectly. They greeted us with the chips and a red sauce that was really good. The drinks were all yummy. I gave 4 starts for the food because mine (the chilaquilles divorciados) was good but super soggy so I only ate the shrimp (an add on) and the eggs. The pieces of avocado it came with was still green. The portions were also a bit small but everyone else enjoyed their meals. Our waitress, Laila, was great. She was very helpful and attentive. We had a liiiitle issue with getting moved to another table because of a reservation but we spoke to the manager and they offered us drinks on the house and were very understanding. Overall the place was great and I’ll happily be back!

Rosa Mexicana is a new York staple- in business for decades. I just had a delivery arrive, it was flawless. Seasonal veggies rice bowl. Oversized portion with 3 kinds of sauces. The restaurants offer the full package, beautiful decor, service and cocktails….

Went for dinner. Great restaurant, busy with all sort of customers and conversations. Good tacos with on the house tortillas Nachos when you sit.

I must say, I moved here from LA and was missing Mexican cuisine, but this is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the country! The service is impeccable and you feel an amazing energy when you step in. Best guacamole I’ve ever had, best sweet corn esquites ever, best fried plantanes ever, best ceviche ever, and best salsa and tortilla chips ever! Definitely coming back here

It’s low-key really expensive. You really don’t expect it to be, but a double guac with crab meat is $43 and it doesn’t last that long. The tuna ceviche with mango habanero is 🔥

Hey folks, we went to Rosa for dinner, and my mom and dad, who frequently visit Mexico this the most authentic Mexican they had. Mary had the chicken enchiladas, I had the brisket enchiladas. Mom the tacos and Dad the fajitas. We stopped in here unplanned and were delighted! it was mouth-watering! Perfect seasoning and char - not too salty. Fresh salsa and the guacamole was out of this world. The margaritas rocked! Nice, trendy atmosphere. Kelly, our server, was the best and very attentive. would definitely visit here again if i could give a 6 stars Iwould. I highly recommend it. Wow!

Good food and great drinks, this company knows how to deliver. It can get a bit pricey but otherwise it's a must stop when your close by!

The host was really well mannered and answered all our questions. He was able to help my family and spoke to them in Spanish. I loved how he gave us the history of the restaurant and told us more about the other locations, including the one that they opened up in Las Vegas. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. On the inside it looked like it was a Mexican restaurant and it surprised me since the outside did not look like that. The food was delicious and the host even prepared out guacamole. One downside of the chilaquiles divorciados was that the red ones had a taste that I was not expecting but it didn't stop me from finishing the plate! My wife had the birria quesatacos but she hoped that the flavor of the birria stood out. They also did sang and celebrated for my mother-in-law's birthday which was the tres leches cake. Overall, I would come back and maybe visit one of the other locations in New York.

I've loved Rosa for many many years. Unfortunately post- Covid, the quality of food has gone downhill. Pros: best table side guacamole and friendly servers, festive and colorful atmosphere, delicious alcoholic drinks Cons: not true authentic Mexican food. Got their version of a Mexican-style grilled steak plate "PARRILLADAS" and was extremely disappointed. I asked the server if this was the same as a fajita and he said it was the closest item that Rosa has on their menu. The steak itself was inedible and was served as 1 big chunk of fatty meat. At other locations pre-Covid, they sliced the meat so it was easier to eat / didn't get dried out. I was under the impression that steak cooked medium should have a little pink inside - instead I could barely cut it with a steak knife. Unfortunately the taste of the steak was the quality I'd expect ordering a steak from Olive Garden or McDonalds. Overall very disappointed with the food quality at this location. In a city with tons of amazing Mexican food options, I'd probably go somewhere else next time, especially a place that serves fajitas.

I'd say this place is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but there were enough good things about my visit that makes me mark it as 4 stars. The place itself is pretty big and colorful. We came here after we already had a light dinner so we just ordered the guac sampler and a pitcher of pomegranate margarita. The guac sampler came with three variations: one topped with pico de gallo, another with bacon, and another with crab. I was very impressed that they didn't skimp on the proteins at all. The guac also came with salsa and two pretty big baskets of chips. For $27, this was definitely not bad and fed four people! I also think that the margarita pitcher was pretty good value: $56 for 5 servings. We ordered the pomegranate margarita, which sadly didn't taste like pomegranate, but was decently strong. The bad things: service was on the slower side and the bathrooms really need more maintenance.

Solid offering. I would like to give 3.5 stars. Meats were pretty good. Chicken was a bit dry. Beef and chorizo were good. The stuffed peppers were pretty spicy. The beans had good flavor though perhaps a bit salty for my taste personally. I would eat here again though.

Tried this [nyc?] chain for the first time this week and overall, it did not disappoint: Tried the following: -Chicken Flautas -Spicy Guac (w/ Chips) -Esquites -Cheese Quesadilla -Churros The Chicken flautas were really good and came with a crema, queso fresco, and salsa. The guac is some of the best guac I've had. I think the spicy version could be slightly spicier though. The sweet corn Esquites had some hint of smoke, but was really bland compared to others I've had. I'd skip this. I'd also skip the cheese quesadilla, unless you're going to get a protein in it. Maybe it also doesn't deliver well, but it came with a crema, salsa, and crumbled cotija cheese. I'm not usually a fan of churros, even Costco's churro. The churro's here were amazingly good. Perfect dusting of cinnamon and proper crunchy exterior with uber soft inside. They come with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces, which were the perfect consistency to coat the churros, yet not be too watery. Definitely would order from them again.

I live nearby so I come here often enough, even if I didn't live close, I probably would come for the cheesy tasty Guac (you have to order it as an app, can't order it on the side), Quesadillas, Pomegranate or other flavored margaritas (frozen or on the rocks). The last time I was there I tried the guava, as recommended by the waitstaff, and that was exciting. The service is great, always walking around - asking if we need anything, bringing more water and of course free refillable chips and salsa!! (Yes - you read that right, free chips and salsa) I have sat everywhere, from the outside area on a hot summer day, to the inside covered front patio, to the cozy side booths, and the back area, all are relatively nice, although my preference is always the main inside area with the booths. There is a lively atmosphere (especially in the evenings), I highly recommend making a reservation then since it can get packed.

Food wasn't even good, chicken was chewy. We went on "Margarita Monday" where they supposedly have $5 margaritas on Monday. Well that was a lie. We got 3 strawberry margaritas and didn't tell us only the basic margaritas were $5 until after we got the bill. There's no where on the menu, signs, waitress didn't tell us, etc. that says it's only that margarita. Total rip off. Owner/manager was a complete asshole too, awful customer service and business. Don't eat here unless you want to spent $50 on margaritas without knowing!

This place is very cute inside. Outside is nice too, although I personally find the seating a bit uncomfortable and tables too small. Servers are nice. Last time I came, I forger what I ordered but I liked it. Drinks are always tasty. Tonight, I ordered the chicken tacos and they brought shrimp tacos instead. I like shrimp so I ate it but it was a little salty and not great. Oh well. The chips and salsa were good. Guacamole was fine. They were nice enough to bring water for my parent's pup and were giving out complimentary Mexican hot chocolate which was delicious. Photos are from prior visits.

I took myself out for a solo dinner/drinks. I sat in the corner at the bar to not be in anyways way. The bartender took my food away and I wasn't even done yet, and handed me the check like I was not welcomed.

Disappointed with management. I made a reservation and they never looked at the notes for a specific table. The gave the table I requested to another couple as I was standing there. They need to do better.

Rosa Mexicano never disappoints! We got seated right away downstairs and started off with delicious nachos. They placed the nachos in a way that each one had all the toppings and you weren't left with any chips that were uncovered. And they weren't a mess to pick up and eat! We ordered chicken and fish tacos which were half off because of taco Tuesday. They were both great, especially the fish tacos. We ordered a side of Mac and queso which tasted really unique and was no ordinary Mac and cheese! Lastly we brought a tres leches dessert home for later. The service was a little bit slow but it was a busy night so it's understandable. A bit loud and hard to have a conversation but overall nice ambiance.

First timer dining here for restaurant week dinner and was overall impressed with the portions and flavors. Definitely a good restaurant week deal for $45. I would return to try other things on the menu. Complimentary chips and salsa - They gave me a big bowl of both, even for just one person. The salsa was really good, with a small kick to it, and tortilla chips were crispy. Mexican shrimp cocktail - The appetizer was fresh, delicious, and a great palate awakener. I expected more shrimp (there were three pieces of shrimp cut in half). That was my only gripe, Tampiquena - This was a huge plate (with rice on the side and warm tortillas); I was amazed at the amount of food in front of me. I asked for my steak medium rare and it came out about medium and overcooked for my liking, but the steak was flavorful and not tough at all. When I was done, it looked like I had barely touched my food. I packed it up for leftovers and everything reheated nicely. Churros - A perfect way to cap off dinner. The churros were warm, crispy, and coated with just enough cinnamon sugar. As a person who normally prefers a fruit sauce, I was glad to have the raspberry guajillo sauce (though I didn't taste the chilli at all) but I loved the dark chocolate sauce - it just paired perfectly with the sugary churros. I was planning to eat only two out of the three, but of course caved. It would have been a waste of a perfectly delicious churro. I left full and with leftovers for two meals. I'll come back!

Came here during taco Tuesday when all the tacos were half off. It was a really good deal we ended up getting 4 orders between the two of us. Each order came with 3 tacos but they were a bit on the small side. Not sure if I would pay full price for them. Also the chips and guac were great and so was the salsa. They weirdly took it away before we were done but maybe it was for the best. Service was otherwise good! A little slow outside but not bad.

My party and I had a great experience with the service, food, and fun ambiance at Rosa Mexicano! Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggesting popular menu items. We started with a double guacamole and a single one with the grilled pineapple pico de gallo topping, both of which were crowd pleasers! The pineapple pico de gallo was a sweet and refreshing addition. It came on the side and I actually enjoyed it even more by itself, scooped up with chips. We also had the tuna and salmon ceviches. They were both very flavorful and fresh in their own way. I can't pick a favorite, but I especially loved the mango habanero sauce on the tuna ceviche! For entrees, we shared two chopped salads without tortilla strips and the roasted mushroom huarache. You definitely can't go wrong with the yummy salads, but the huarache left a little to be desired. The presentation was very nice, but it tasted a bit plain and the tortilla with black bean spread underlying it got soggy quickly. However, if you love mushrooms, string beans, and sautéed spinach and are looking for a healthy option, it could be a good choice! I'll definitely keep Rosa Mexicano in my repertoire of reliable spots for a fun time! We left very happy!

This place continues to improve every time I go back!! Their Happy Hour CANNOT be beat and who doesn't love FREE chips and salsa!!?! Currently obsessed with the Frozen Aperol Rita Swirl and Maple Chipotle chicken tenders.

Went to Rosa on a busy Monday evening-- the host was kind and accommodating and was able two seat us (two people) despite there being a 40 minute wait for larger groups. Our waiter was nice enough but service was slow and it took him multiple laps around the room before coming to take our order each time for drinks, apps, and food. Even on a Monday night, the place was crowded. I have no complaints because the ambiance is exactly what you'd want from a Mexican restaurant: colorful walls and decor, good music, and a booming bar. We ordered the frozen pomegranate margaritas (their classic drink) and they were delicious, perhaps slightly overpriced, but strong enough so that I didn't mind. The guac was to die for. I completely understand why people say it's the best and the serving size was huge. However, the complementary salsa was average at best. The duck carnitas tacos were well put together, I loved the fresh pineapple salsa on top. I only wish they had a more saucy salsa to marry the pineapple to the duck. My friend said the enchiladas were good although they were drowned in sauce and the large portion of rice that came with it was perfect. Overall, I'd say come to Rosa Mexicano if you're looking for good drinks and vibes, but it's not necessarily the best or most traditional Mexican food you can find.

Rosa was packed on a weekday night, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. We ordered a few things to share: Ceviche tasting flight: fun way to try the ceviches they have, but not the best quality fish Parilladas for 2: highly recommend this!! there is a great variety and it comes with everything you need - a variety of meats, rice and beans, tortillas, salsa and guacamole. Mexican fried rice: you should probably skip this one, didnt taste like much Tres leches: came with strawberries and it was soaked in milk and not too sweet. The drinks were strong and the food was delicious, I highly recommend the parilladas, it was perfect to try a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is great and a nice place to grab dinner. The food took a long time to come out, but the restaurant was packed which is fair. Overall, the food is great and the tres leches was probably the best I've ever had!

Came here for a medium sized group event. The lower level is a private dining space for parties. We did a buffet style menu which included chips, guacamole, salsa, three different types of enchiladas, two types of tacos and much more. The service was great and so was the food. Drinks are expensive, one corona is $9.

We called and made a reservation. When we arrived, they could not find the reservation. Their space inside was full so they were only able to sit us outside. Sitting outside, the waitstaff was practically nonexistent. We had to go inside to get someone to place our order. The waitstaff's attentiveness never got any better. When we ordered, we specified we needed cheese and any other dairy on the side. When the food arrived, everything had the normal cheese and sauces but with extra cheese and sauce on the side. When we flagged this for the person delivering the food, it took 10+ minutes for our waiter to finally return and ask if we wanted to order anything else. Mediocre food. Horrible service. Will never return.

Have been to Rosa Mexicano several times in the past, but never this location. Seems really small when you walk in, but it actually extends back quite a bit and also has outdoor seating. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated and greeted promptly. We started with the guacamole which is ALWAYS delicious and they keeps the chips topped off. I don't know if they don't do guacamole tableside at this location, or stopped at all locations but the guacamole was brought out already made. For drinks we started with the frozen pomegranate margarita, frozen strawberry margarita and 2 virgin strawberry margaritas (they don't offer a frozen option). All the drinks were very good. Birria quesataco, salmon pipian, chopped cheeseburger alambre taco, and the camarones al mojo de ajo. The Birria quesataco was the stand-out of the meal. The pipian verde on the salmon is spicy- which was fine for me, but overly spicy for the person who ordered it. I had the camarones which was really good but VERY salty (and I usually salt my food). For dessert we had the Tres leches and churros. Overall great meal- and I'll def be back for the guac, margarita's and birria tacos!

My cousin is addicted to the frozen pomegranate margarita, it's a true slushy frozen drink; not like those shredded ice kinds. The spicy guac is good, it is made fresh table side. Everything is always delicious. If you like to try several things at once, I recommend the parrilladas served on a sizzling platter.

I always wrote Rosa Mexicano off as being too boujee and having expensive, fake Mexican food. HOWEVER, my mom and I stumbled in one afternoon in desperate need of a margarita, and were pleasantly surprised to hear of their daily deals. Can't remember the exact days, but one day offers $5 margs, and one has a great taco deal, both all day long. So, my husband and I returned one night for the margs and weren't disappointed! They change their marg style daily, so this one was a spritz marg consisting of frozen marg, prosecco, and aperol. While it might sound like a less than appealing combo, it was absolutely delish and properly boozy. It's a good thing they were boozy, because service that night was incredibly slow. I also took a chance on the overly expensive Chile Relleno, which was not fried, had no cheese, and was stuffed with quinoa. Safe to say, I'll skip that one in the future. Service in the midday with Mom was super pleasant and attentive, though. In summary, I'll be back for the margs.

First time at this location (2nd ave), I wouldn't come back to this location. It is too small/tight and the bathroom situation is odd. Besides that the service was good and so was the food. We weren't a fan of the churros because it was cold lol. I'd prefer Rosa's for brunch, as opposed to dinner.

I've come here a couple of times because it's my friends favorite Mexican place. The service is always a little slow, the food is pretty good but I think it's a little overpriced.

I visited for their bottomless brunch. I was not disappointed. I tried several kinds of drinks, margarita, white sangria, and mimosa. I also had the huevos rancheros. I got in and out in a timely manner. I will definitely be bringing people back for brunch.

First I'll start by saying while Rosa Mexicano can be on the pricer side I think the quality, presentation and atmosphere makes it worthwhile. We appreciated that they had 8 tables for 2 technically outside but completely enclosed with heaters so we could feel like we were outside without being freezing. The chips and salsa come after you order and the two of us gobbled it down, our server was nice enough to replenish our batch while we waited. To start we shared the guacamole. My only gripe was we said mild and there wad quite a kick of spice to it. The two of us split the beef and chicken enchiladas which come 2 to an order, rice on the side and we added a side of beans. The enchiladas were so flavorful we couldn't decide which we liked more. There was more than enough food that we had leftovers after. Tax/tip it ended up being 45 per person. I realize drinks would have hiked the price up but isn't that always the case in NY?

Food, ambience, and drinks were all on point, as was the friendly service. My favorite item was the chicken flautas/taquitos, it was marinated and cooked impeccably well. All the tacos were good too, including the steak and mushroom ones. The guacamole was freshly made and paired well with everything. The churros for dessert are also a must.

The space available in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. You walk into a small box size bar with a crowded dining space and then you are led to this underground space with plenty space. Great vibe. We ordered the margarita pitchers of mango and guava and it was pretty disappointing. The guacamole and their salsa was amazing! Ordered a pork taco for myself which was also pretty disappointing with no flavors at all. The staff were very courteous and prompt at service. Would not mind going there for their guac salsa and chips.

This has been one of my favorite chain restaurants for years, but they have seen better days. The service was hit or miss and the menu has removed a lot of old favorites, especially Thor including seafood. Stopped in for an early lunch and got to partake in the weekend bottomless brunch. It's actually a pretty good deal, all you can drink selected cocktails for $28 with an entree purchase. I chose the loaded nachos which were delicious and huge. The guacamole no longer gets made table side (assuming it's a COVID precaution), but it's still excellent. I tried 3 frozen margaritas, my favorite being the guava (perfect combination of sweet and tart and actually better than the signature pomegranate I've had for years).

High quality ingredients and very fresh. The menu is expensive but you are getting fine ingredients, great flavor, and fresh food. The three tacos were very filling. I was surprised they even brought out free chips and salsa (sadly they didn't refill) but in today's economy that's surprising. We ordered margs by the pitcher and those were solid. I definitely want to try the ceviche next time I come back!

I always love Rosa Mexicano but this location is not as great as the one in Lincoln center. Service was slow (we were told they were understaffed). So everything took a long time to get to us. Food was okay but nothing special. Their flavored margaritas were also just not hitting like the other location. Also they really should try to spruce up their outdoor seating area.

The food and service were absolutely amazing. I absolutely love when a restaurant takes pride in their customer service just as much as they do their food. We ordered chips and guacamole, the steak and the enchiladas. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The chips were warm and the guacamole was made fresh at the table! The drinks were a 10/10, you definitely get your moneys worth! I can for sure say I'll be back.

Popped in pre-show with my daughter. Had looked at the menu earlier and happily ordered the guacamole with roasted pineapple salsa on top. So amazing that I left no room for dinner. Staff was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back & try an actual meal!

I miss the table side guacamole but otherwise Rosa is its old self. The chips are very good and they will bring out guacamole. The enchilada meals are quite large so it can be a calorie fest. Some meals some with mole others the more common sauce. Server staff were friendly. Overall a good experience.

I've been to Rosa Mexicano before but this is my first time at this location. I came here on, The Day of the Dead, for their tasting menu. This was a five course tasting with a tequila drink for each course. Everything was good. Started with a pineapple guacamole, then the salmon ceviche which was delicious. The mole duck enchiladas was good but you have to like mole sauce because dish is covered in it. If you don't care for mole this one might be difficult to eat. The short rib was perfect. Very tender and juicy. The dessert was flan. I'm not a fan of flan so I can't really judge but it fine.

Came to Rosa Mexicano for dinner. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and chips and salsa. A quick note that as of this writing, the restaurant does not have its liquor license, even though they have an extensive liquor menu. Overall, the food seems to be overpriced-- $20-30 items for small portions, and the menu is relatively small, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The chicken quesadilla seemed to be the best value. While the food was tasty, there were large gaps in the quesadilla that lacked any cheese or chicken, and some parts were largely just the tortilla. While our waiter was friendly, he only came twice-- to take our order and to give us the bill. He never checked on us to see if our food was good or if we needed anything, and only refilled the water once. Mind you, it was a relatively quiet Tuesday night.

They opened in September and today was their last night! They will reopen again in 3- 6 months. I love how convenient this location is/ was; was so happy I didn't have to trek to Lincoln Center. They are closing due for renovations to be able to get their liquor license. This space use to house Bareburger. Does anyone know what happened to Bareburger? Are they still in the city? Anyways, Rosa Mexicano food is freshly daily made and this location had such a neighborhood good feel. I can't wait until they reopen.

We ended up here for lunch after our original plans did not work out, we came in & were seated right. Once seated we got the Fire & Ice cocktail this was very good, nice taste & decent amount of alcohol we had quite the nice buzz by the time we left. They start u off with Chips & salsa, it was good.. Appetizers we went with the Chicken flautas, very good nice & crispy, good tasting chicken very good w the avocado & queso fresco. Main dishes we tried the Pork carnitas de cazuela, I must say the pork was very tasty good flavor to the meat add a little bit of everything on top of the corn tortillas & it totally hit the spot. The Camarones al mojo de ajo, was another tasty dish nice size shrimp great tasting sauce very good chorizo. Next time, we sat at the bar, drinks tried the Guava margaritas good nice amount of alcohol. The Empanadas, very good with a bit of a spicy kick & The chopped salad was great, good mixture with the cojita ranch dressing. Typically I am not a fan of over price food/drinks because let's face it certain foods just aren't tailored that way but this was a last minute option & everything we tried was very good which is why I gave it the high rating. It's been a while since I've visited a Rosa's for that fact, this location is the smallest one I've noticed, since it was lunch time they were not crowded, service was good & yes prices are on the high side. Nice décor, good music playing we enjoyed our lunch.

Great neighborhood Mexican spot with street dining and a lovely dining room. Came at 2 PM and plenty of tables open inside. This is a favorite of my GF and she recommended it to me. Pricing was kind of all over the place..... the lunch plates were maybe slightly higher than what I expect home in CT but drinks and desserts were 2x price. Example, one Pacifico beer (bottle) $9 and a Mezcalrita (which was delicious) was $17. Grilled NY strip tacos at $22 were very good but I preferred the rich and spicy flavors of the Chopped Cheese Alambre tacos, $14. The Tres Leches dessert at $15 was a bit of a let down...... good, but not $15 good. It all added up to $83.83 BEFORE tip, and the service was excellent. Yes I (or her, or we) will be back.

pretty good food for an everyday meal but nothing special. Started our meal with the spicy cucumber margarita, it was just the right amount of spice while also being refreshing. You do get complimentary chips and salsa to the table which are both very yummy but for 5 people we got one small basket of chips so a little stingy when they don't refill. We got guacamole to share for the table with mild spice, it was good but no spice at all. For my main I got the ahi tune taco's this would probably be better as an appetizer. Its 4 mini tacos with a hard shell and doesn't come with anything else. As a main this is pretty light compared to the size of the other mains. Really should of some with a side of rice a beans maybe if the main part of the meal was going to be so small.

Great Mexican fare in NYC. Speedy service. Nice bar area as well as table space in the back. Best flautas we've found!

I was excited to see that a Rosa Mexico had opened near me, and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately the experience fell short and was underwhelming. The best part of our night was our sever. He was the sweetest server I've ever met. Super kind and friendly, but other than that the food was average. For appetizers we ordered their house special guacamole and octopus ceviche. They were good but not as good as I remember from when I ate in Panama. For our entrees we ordered a quesadilla, a shrimp skewer entree and the mole enchilada. The worst dish out of the three main dishes we ordered was the quesadilla. It was tiny and there was barely any meat on the plate. Overall all the food portions were tiny and tasted average. The sauces were the best part of the enchiladas and the shrimp dish that we had ordered. Our entrees also took forever to arrive. Not sure if their kitchen was backed up or whether they are just generally slow. They also do not have a liquor license yet so we ended up ordering sodas. For the amount of food we ordered, the bill was extremely high. Average food at a very high price. I suppose that's expected in Midtown. I would probably only go back for appetizers if I decide to go back again, which I prob won't as I already have my go to Mexican spot in the neighborhood. But since they opened not to long ago, I'm willing to give them another shot.

The food was really good, the drinks were not very authentic though. Their fried rice was amazing.

Let's start with the food -- it's INCREDIBLE. I had the queso with chorizo and the egg and chorizo quesadilla and they were SO good I also ordered a side of esquites. Rice and beans came with my entree. I can't eat either of those because they didn't give us cutlery. We're at the restaurant now. It's been about 25 minutes since we asked for cutlery. At the same time my mom asked for iced tea. Just went to ask the hostess and she said we have to wait until the server can get to us. Update - server just came by, but with no cutlery and no iced tea. It's a shame because the food is out of this world but the service is awful. Terrible.

I never give out 5 stars but this place deserved it. I'm from texas so I have pretty high standards for Mexican food and this place beat them. If you're vegetarian, so many good options! I started off with the table side guacamole which is normal guacamole but can be dressed up depending on what toppings you get. I loved the presentation of it in the lava rock bowl. Entree wise I got the mushroom enchiladas with red sauce, that's a must. The sweet corn as a side, also a must. For drinks I got the hibiscus margarita and guava colada (non alcoholic) they were pretty average drinks. Dessert is the tres leches which was good after I hacked the system, which was I took it to go, kept it in the fridge overnight and let the cake soak all the sauce. It was heavenly!

Everything was great! Our server was very kind and knew the menu well, the food tasted amazing, and the vibes were great! I would definitely go back to try something new. My favorite part was the FREE chips and salsa and the guacamole (which wasn't free - but still amazing)!!!!

I love Mexican food. So much. But this wasn't it. The pork carnitas tacos were interesting but there were so many super hard pieces in the pork that it wasn't super enjoyable. The Mexican rice could have been good if it was cooked all the way through. My friend had the white rice with the same issue. We also ran out of water and didn't get offered more? Thank goodness there was a CVS nearby so we went after.

Food was amazing. Best carnitas I've ever had. Table side guacamole and chips were out of this world. Not only would I eat the food again , I would recommend to all I know.

So so so so disappointed. Horrid food - gag worthy - and EVEN WORSE SERVICE AND DELIVERY. It started on a high: I ordered nachos with steak and a margarita for delivery. It was just after 6 pm at my office. I was starving. Two hours later... nothing. I called. Some gal said .. oh the door dash man came 20 minutes after you ordered. The food was out in 3 minutes but he didn't wait. It's still sitting here. I asked why she did t get him back, or call me? They organized delivery not me. She said she'd have it reordered and get them back to deliver. I said no margarita. ONE AND A HALF HOURS after that, a delivery guy comes to my office -- throws the food at the night security guy and doesn't wait for me. It was the 3 and a half hour one -- stone cold, congealed cheese and no steak. Smelled foul. Disgusting. Threw it out. This cost $50!!!! Appalling on every level. The second bad experience I've had with the restaurant in 9 months. Never again. Contesting bill. And by the way, they took their phone off the hook! Don't go there.
