"See that line down the blocks of Halsted? Condragulations, you’ve found Roscoe’s Tavern, which is one of the most popular places to go if you’re queer and love Drag Race. The large front area is a great place to grab a few drinks while watching the latest cast members lip sync for their lives. After the episode ends in its usual dramatic fashion, head to the dance floor in the back accompanied by wonderful DJs and sometimes old cast members from the show. The clientele tends to be mixed when it comes to gender identity, and it’s an open, inclusive space for all." - abby keller

"Drag superstar and nightlife icon Kevin Aviance is making a Chicago stop on their own CVNTY Ball tour — Beyoncé recently sampled them on her track “Pure/Honey” — with an all-night set at Roscoe’s on Saturday, July 22 after the show ends at Soldier Field. Aviance is a prominent member of the House of Aviance, one of the most well-known vogue-ball houses in the U.S. Kevin Aviance’s CVNTY Ball, 11 p.m. Saturday, July 22." - Naomi Waxman
"For the first time in 15 months, dancing (that’s right, dancing) is back at Roscoe’s in Northalsted. And this Sunday is the return of Britney Sunday, where they play (you guessed it) Britney all night long. It starts at 8pm, and you need to show proof of vaccination. You also might like to know that dancing is back at Hydrate and Scarlet too - as long as you have proof of vaccination." - adrian kane
"“I’m so happy to see them thriving. They’ve been really innovative and creative in how to keep their business going. They just opened up a show called Eggs-Y-Z. They perform music from the ’90s to the 2000s, and it’s really fun. I used to do it before the pandemic. I haven’t done it recently, but I know they always have a great rotating cast. And it’s always a diverse group of queens. There’s always a little bit of something for everybody. They have great food, too. I don’t know how they do it, but they really turn it out in that little kitchen of theirs. You don’t have high expectations with bar food, but I can vouch for their tenders.”" - adrian kane
