"Restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias’s Rosewater Kitchen + Bar serves a globally-inspired brunch in its garden-like North Raleigh location each Sunday. There’s a roasted chicken sandwich with chimmichurri, a chicken fried pork chop with smoked bone marrow red-eye gravy, and a series of tartines and grain bowls, among other offerings. A separate brunch cocktail menu also offers mocktails for those not in the day-drinking mood." - Matt Lardie

I had the pleasure of being the photographer for a wedding reception at Rosewater Kitchen & Bar in Raleigh, and I can't say enough about how wonderful this venue is! The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, with a charming and elegant decor that made for stunning photos. The staff was incredibly attentive and professional, ensuring that every detail was taken care of seamlessly. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that delighted all the guests. The presentation was beautiful, adding an extra touch of elegance to the event. The outdoor patio area provided a lovely backdrop for photos, and the lighting both inside and out was ideal for capturing the magic of the evening. Overall, Rosewater Kitchen & Bar exceeded all expectations and contributed to a truly unforgettable wedding reception. Highly recommend this venue for any special event!

Wonderful brunch! We started with mimosas and the biscuits and honey. We were warned that the biscuits are big and they totally were! Entrees were the waffles and crab cakes Benedict. Both were wonderful. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Sitting outside was a good call, it was quiet and a beautiful day. We will be back!

This was the first time me and my boyfriend have ever been we deuces it would be a nice spot for Valentine’s Day. I have to say this most definitely is a place you have to get a reservation. If you don’t have a reservation, you will be turned down most likely because this place is so popular, and for the best reason. The atmosphere and inside is so beautiful it’s dark yet. You are able to see your food and everyone and everything around you. not only that, but the waiters and owner are so sweet and Very attentive, but not overly! Most definitely will come back! Highly recommend getting valet parking, which was only five dollars

Super disappointed. We had the valentine’s day dinner for 100$ per person. Our reservation was at 8:45pm but we had to wait 20 mins to get a seat. Once seated, we waited 10 more mins for a server to come and take our order, after which we lost our patience and told a lady staff to please have a server come to us. After all that wait and for a 100$ menu, once would expect some bread, but nothing. The oyster appetizer was sadly salty with soggy potatoes. This was followed by she-crab soup. The soup was good although it was a very tiny quantity. The service was extremely slow and we had to once again ask to please check on our entrees. Mind you, by the time we got the entree, it was 10:05 pm (again, for a 8:45 pm reservation). We were starving. The entrees were yum though - both my sword fish and my girlfriend’s steak were really tasty. This was followed by desserts that were hard and not enjoyable. The candles were definitely a nice touch and created a cozy romantic vibe, but the wooden chairs were not comfortable at all. For a tiny fixed menu, we never understood why the service was so slow and food not great.

Very cute place, intimate, but extremely loud due to close quarters. We felt like we were sitting in a school cafeteria trying to talk to each other across the table. Our server was amazing and everything came out on time and correctly. There were 5 of us, and the shareable apps are 100% the way to go! Everything is very good, but also on the decadent side, but are the perfect size for sharing. The Pipe Rigate was absolutely amazing, and the Potato Fritters were just the right amount of both crispy outside and soft, velvety inside. The salads are a great size for one, not too much and not too little. For desert, our table unanimously voted the Espresso Crème Brûlée was to die for. The Chocolate Cobbler was loved by one of us, however the rest of us felt it tasted too much like flour. Overall, great food, service, and atmosphere. I would definitely go again!

Google
Aesthetically, this restaurant is one of the best in Raleigh. The menu lacks variety but the food is seasoned and presented well. The seasonal sangria is run of the mill. I had the mahi mahi and the baked brie and recommend both. They have a rotating menu that changes every 3 months. The chocolate cobbler is more like a molten brownie but it's still a fabulous way to end the meal. This place is ideal for birthdays and parties. I recommend getting a reservation.

Came here for brunch with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a really beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. The service was impeccable and fast. Food came out promptly and was amazing. The pics will not do any justice to the taste of it. Definitely will be back again!

Yelp
Nestled in the charming North Hills village, Rosewater Kitchen & Bar at 110 Park at N Hills St, Raleigh, was a delightful find for our pre-Father's Day dinner. From the moment we stepped in, the cozy and relaxing ambiance made us feel right at home. Seated in the beautiful Garden Room, our experience began with the house-made bread, baked fresh daily, and the decadent Pipe Rigate - a mac & cheese dish featuring Fontina, Smoked Gouda, Sharp Cheddar, and Pancetta. It was simply delicious! For the main course, we savored the Short Rib with Calasparra Rice, Garlic, Thyme, and a delightful Apple and Sweet Pepper Relish. The Whole Branzino, adorned with Salsa Verde, Charred Lemon, and Calabrian Chili, and the Mahi-Mahi, accompanied by Carrot Risotto, Green Pea, Pancetta, and Asiago, were both prepared to perfection. Each dish was an explosion of flavors, with toppings and garnishes that elevated the culinary experience. The highlight of our evening was the impeccable service from Alysha M. Her friendly demeanor, menu knowledge, and warm spirit made our dining experience unforgettable. We will definitely return and hope to be served by Alysha again. Rosewater Kitchen & Bar is a must-visit for an awesome dining experience. Giorgios Group has done it again! Of the 10 we've visited thus far, not a hint of disappointment.

Yelp
Came here for my sister's birthday celebration on a Friday evening. Pros: -They were able to accommodate 11 guest on the patio. -The decor and feel of the restaurant is nice. I can't say my food met or exceeded that. Cons: I started off with a miniature rosewater (mocktail). The drink was cute but extremely syrupy and sweet. My lamb was nicely cooked but it lack flavor. This was a miss considering the amount of toppings it came with. Those with me ordered Mac n cheese- some enjoyed, some didn't. Chicken was 50/50 on liking as well. Overall, I love the concept but I don't think I'll be running back here for dinner. Maybe coffee as they offered espresso. It's a nice place to people watch in north hills.

Yelp
We tried Rosewater today for brunch. This was a first time visit having made a reservation. Anyone traveling here by car should know going in, parking is horrendous. Imagine NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago or Los Angeles downtown areas. Scant parking and half of what exists is reserved for residents of nearby apartments or shoppers of a specific store/retailer. High police presence suggests getting towed is not a threat but an eventuality for parking where you shouldn't. I located a free parking structure 10 minutes walk away, caveat; it had a level 1 EV charger I used. Rosewater's design is a cross between French and English, pleasing on the eye and very welcoming. Our server, Emily, straddled rude and restrained like a pro. Not someone I would want handling my food. I had asked for my cappuccino to arrive with my breakfast, to which she replied "she'd try. The bar doesn't follow the same schedule as the kitchen". To her credit, it was only 5 minutes after the food arrived that she brought the luke warm cappuccino. The primary motivator in making this request was to avoid having a coffee that had cooled before the food arrived. So much for that. My wife had an espresso. It arrived 20 minutes after ordering it. The person dropped it off and in a flash, was gone. Before we could ask for sugar or a spoon. It was another 8 minutes before I could flag our server to request them. By the time my wife put the sugar in, the coffee was room temperature. I ordered the French toast for $17. It is listed as "Texas Toast, Maple Syrup, Mango Coulis, Whipped Cream and Powered Sugar". What arrived was bread that was shaped, sliced and appeared for all practical purpose to be Wonder bread. The mango coulis was cautiously drizzled on as if it was $400 a gram. This was fortuitous for me as I forgot to ask that it was on the side. Let me reiterate, $4.25 per HALF slice of something akin to Wonderbread baked and drizzled with a 1/4 teaspoon of mango coulis. Three of us ordered this so the only other entree was the Belgian waffle described as "Belgian Waffles, Cinnamon Frosting, Bourbon Dulce De Leche, Orange, Maple Syrup, Powdered Sugar" This was NOT a Belgian waffle. Having had Belgian waffles in Belgum, I can say this with impunity. It wasn't even Belgian waffle adjacent. It was American waffle. Like you'd have ANYWHERE. Nothing special and not worth $17. The Bourbon Dulce De Leche consisted of a few dollops on the plate. One positive, they have real maple. Not that HFCS crap so many others push as maple syrup from a maple tree. I know of no maple tree with corn syrup flowing through it. We will not be back. Lesson learned.

Yelp
Cozy, ambient, and tastefully decorated space with a covered patio. A little pricey, but perfect for a nice date or occasion w friends. Service was great. The cocktails are sooo good and presented gorgeously. For food, we got bread, salmon, filet, and fingerling potatoes. Overall curated ingredients, cooked really well, and tasted great. Would come back just to sit at the bar for a drink and app. Lovely!

Yelp
Enjoyed an incredible holiday meal here with my family. Coming in from the West Coast and selecting a place to dine always raises concerns for me as I want the experience to be second to none. This place did not disappoint. Started with perfectly crafted martinis and eventually moved to a beautiful California red. Ok, I'm slightly biased on the wine. I could go on and on about each dish from the baked Brie to the short ribs to the lamb chops and the Angus strip but at the end of the day you simply have to experience this place for yourself. Plan for a truly special occasion because that's exactly what it will be. One of most exceptional meals I've ever had. Coupled with impeccable service, this place is a true gem on so many fronts. Thank you for bringing this level of culinary expertise to the table. We are fortunate to have you in our arsenal of unforgettable food.

Yelp
Good food. Average size portions. Good service and overall good value. Just wouldn't say it's great.

Ginna W.

Yelp
Great vibes and good food. Lots of options so that was nice. We tried as much food as we can. My favorite has to be the MAHI-MAHI risotto! We tried ALL the mocktails and it was DELICIOUS. Service was great as well - it was busy and packed on a Saturday weekend and they allowed us to sit outside to avoid the wait. We will be back to try other items!

Kelli R.

Yelp
Food - 5/5 (see photo. Recommend ordering various things to try!) Service- 10/5 (Immanuel is great!) Ambiance - 5/5

Falan E.

Yelp
Very cute chic decor. Great for brunch or after-work dinner. Kate was my waitress. Kate was great with recommendations. I ordered the beet hummus. I'm not a huge fan of this hummus or the crackers it was served with. I also had the ribeye. My steak was cooked medium rare exactly as requested and very flavorful. I took the Keylime dessert to go and I enjoyed that later in the evening. Rose Water is a Yes for me and highly recommend it.

DAVID C.

Yelp
I have eaten here three times, and never left without a comp. The service is amateurish as the Waffle House and management just likes to give away food instead of addressing the poor training. The food is good, but the service is so bad that you can't really enjoy it. I am not into free food. I like good service in a fine dining restaurant.

Lisa S.

Yelp
I always love this place. Fresh, seasonal ingredients. I've hade their lamb and Mahi Mahi. Both were fantastic. Forgot the pics.

Craig F.

Yelp
I had heard great things about this place. I have to say that I was very happy with my entree but still have some reservations overall. First- the good. The half chicken dish- AMAZING. Phenomenal flavors going on there. Tender juicy and incredibly flavorful chicken. I relished very single bite. The cosmo I ordered was masterfully shaken. Perfect. Our server was amiable and kind. Second- what should improve and was rather annoying. I felt rushed and "on the clock" from the second we were seated (and I was not thrilled about where we were seated...more to come). I definitely felt a "get them in and out vibe"-- not through any specific action but it definitely permeated. We got pre meal drinks, appetizer, entree and dessert and were out the door in 50 minutes. The problem was we were not in any hurry. We would have liked some breathing room between courses to relax and enjoy the experience. We enjoyed the meal but not the overall experience and the fact our chairs/seating were uncomfortable and our table was literally right by where the servers were getting their food. It felt intrusive on us and I felt like it was intrusive to the hard working staff who were hustling. The portions on the appetizer (bread) and the family style mashed potatoes were rather skimpy too (but both were good). Overall, high marks on the food. Not so much on the experience.

Stephen X.

Yelp
Amazing. Had the branzino and the pulpo both perfectly seasoned. Left very happy and can't wait to return. Great price, awesome portion, great atmosphere

Yelp
Arrived here for Sunday Brunch at 1130am and the place was already packed with guests. Reservation is recommended. We were promptly shown to our table. Server immediately offered a high chair upon seeing the baby. Lots of people but people didn't mind other people's business. Guests were talking to one another immersed in conversation, phones were tuck away - which was wonderful to see. Great for a group of friends, family and business. Timing of everything - drinks, appetizers, entree, bill - was spot on. Not a long wait and not rushed. Food tasted great as expected. We requested a fruit and goat cheese bowl for the child (not on the menu) but server happily accommodated request. Wonderful! Ambience, decor and atmosphere were great. Spaces between tables were ample. There were three sectioned areas: atrium and dining room with bar and outdoor dining area. We were sat inside the dining room. Table light was cute and battery-operated (no wires). Temperature in the room was unnoticeable - comfortable and just right. Servers were attentive to their customers. All pleasant and cheerful. There were only two restrooms. No baby-changing table.

Yelp
Rosewater is a very good restaurant in the North Hills development of Raleigh. The service was top-notch, very attentive and quick. The (patio) ambiance was pleasant enough, although the music was really loud; not really worth complaining about. I found the food was Ok-plus: I was pleased with my meal, but wasn't floored but how *amazing* it was. I'll definitely return to Rosewater, but perhaps order differently to put the kitchen through their paces.

Taja W.

Yelp
Host was extremely unwelcoming and had a smart mouth, when asked if they were serving brunch he responded with "we only have brunch on Sundays" for context it was Sunday. also his demeanor went from extremely peppy to annoyed. We get sat and everyone but us have cold water. when asked for it we were told "they were out" upon further inspection a table with a different waitress had cold water and they came in after us. The waitress offered to bring us ice and the container the ice was in was absolutely filthy. When asked for straws we were brought exactly ONE and there's three of us. the wait time is extremely long and tables around us who were seated prior were already served their entres before we even got our appetizers. something else you might want to note: were black. All our waitresses other tables were not of color and got very friendly welcoming service. Another thing. Our server kept turning and walking away in the middle of us talking to her. Eventually the manager did come back and comp all of our entrees but if youre a person of color don't expect a lot from the young blonde server.

Yelp
Finally decided to check out Rosewater in North Hills and wasnt disappointed. The vibe is cute and nice and servers were nice and attentive . So tried out the Smoked bone marrow topped with beef tartare, roma tomato, calabrian chili, crispy shallots, and served with grilled sourdough slices served on a bed of rock salt ... it was nice and smoky and and flavorful... wish there was more marrow in the bone.. Next up on appz was the Burrata topped with persimmon, Pomegranate, Pepitas, and Extra virgin olive oil.. the burrata was fresh and creamy and nice and soft ... the flavors and textures of all the ingredients went well together. We decided for our entree to order a Whole chicken with roasted garlic, oregano, sumac, and side of forbidden black rice The chicken was very moist and flavorful and went well with the forbidden black rice which had a nice earthy flavor. Decided on the Sweet potato with a sage, maple gastrique, clove, and kumquats slices in addition to the chicken as a side and it was awesome ... the sweet potato had a nice flavor a candied flavor to it and kumquats gave it a nice citrus flavor to break up the sweetness which was good .. Overall a good visit to rosewater.

Yelp
Loved this place the first couple times my wife and I went there. Then it started going downhill. The service started lacking, the food stopped being so impressive. Last time there the prices were noticeably higher across the board, including the "focaccia" bread which was really just a few thin slices of what looked like baguette bread. Far from the thick focaccia bread slices one would expect.

Crystal B.

Yelp
The baked brie is super! So is the Rosewater Martini and the Mahi Mahi! Can't wait to go back!

Carrie D.

Yelp
Ambience was nice. Service was fair. Had the steak, absolutely the WORST cut of meat. Appetizers were good.

Tina C.

Yelp
Recommended by a friend. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated since we had reservation. The server was friendly and recommended the Prosecco rose. We ordered the mussels, prawns and strip loin and Brussel sprouts. Mussels were okay. A bit too sour for my taste but my husband enjoyed it. Prawns: a bit sad...the description said with plantains...they were plantain chips. The dish came with 5 prawns. For $27...they were not big prawns either. Flavor wise it was good, it had a little spice to it. This dish came with the head and tail attached. Strip loin: NY strip. Very flavorful. Amount of steak given was worth the price and it came with some fingerling potatoes on the side. I would visit again but no prawns next time.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Beautiful place to eat incredible brunch food! The ambiance is stunning and relaxing even in a busy town. I recommend eating brunch and trying everything. Hey Alicia as your server because she knows how to make feel good.

Brittana T.

Yelp
Espresso Martini!!! Omg so good. Jason the GM is such a great guy!! There is a bubble port type wine that would be great for dessert if you don't do the espresso martini. Definitely my new Monday vibe!

Pedro M.

Yelp
Annoyingly loud place where you must nearly yell to have a conversation with someone two feet away. Decor is nice but the tables are tiny and the chairs are not comfortable. Food is just OK. For the price, it should be better. I can't recommend this place due to the poor acoustics and the high cost for mediocre cuisine.

Nayo M.

Yelp
We came in and stood waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes although 8 people made eye contact with us and never once offered us to be seated. Than we made it to the table and it took another 38 minutes to be ask about what we wanted to eat and yes many people available to help besides restaurant being empty. Food was ok but not worth 89.00 for 4 appetizers. Absolutely over priced and bad service.... Never again.

Shay M.

Yelp
Absolutely love Rosewater Kitchen! I have been several times and never been disappointed. Tonight was probably the best meal yet. Their beet and ricotta hummus is a favorite, and the salmon is always perfectly prepared. Cocktail selection is also stellar!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I remember eating here the first week it opened. Great atmosphere great food and service for dinner. Have done the weekend brunch a few times always great choices. April 28, 2024 everything fell downhill. service was great no complaints this goes directly at management and kitchen. My husband was served an omelette in a small bowl. Of course it didn't fit it should have been plate. Who serves an omelette in a small bowl? it had no garnish I really did not recognize it was an omelette. My daughter chicken was so over fried it was dark and crumbly. Did the kitchen clean the grease lately or was it left in the fryer too long? My son was served 2 filet medallions that were thrown on top of each other. They looked liked they were coated in red ketchup with 2 sunny side eggs and frozen French fries thrown on top of everything...no garnish!! I ordered crabs cakes which were burnt around all the edges topped with hollandaise that was all cracked bc it got hard sitting in the window. Also was served a salad that they prepared with dressing at 10am bc when I took a bite at 2pm it was so soggy . Wow!! Manager helped deliver are food bc it took almost an hour for the kitchen to make it. the restaurant remained less than half full the whole time we were there. So presentation was not existent and a manager served us those embarrassing plates. Of course he offered to redo the meals, but he also served us those plates we waited almost an hour for....did you really think now I am verbally expressing my disapproval you want to make things right? so many brunches in Raleigh will not ever eat there again they lost their flare what a shame. Kitchen Management if you lost your passion walk away!!

Yelp
One of my bosses recommended Rosewater in North Hills as a Friday night date spot. The ambience especially during Christmas season did not disappoint. While appetizers and sides like the brussel sprouts and pumpkin crème brûlée did not disappoint, I was a liiittle underwhelmed with the quality of the entrees (thus not a 5-star rating). The snapper was a bit over-cooked and dry, and the ratio of sauce to meat was a bit low. Not a big deal, but the devil is in the details for an upscale and pricey restaurant in this part of town. Nonetheless, I would return to sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard for brunch before a shopping spree.

Cade B.

Yelp
TLDR: Amazing food and drink, good portions, friendly staff, and exceptional ambiance and decor. A must stop!! We came in on a very busy Friday night ~ 8pm and were greeted kindly by the hostess, and seated immediately at the end of the bar closest to the kitchen. The bar was full, but we were approached almost immediately by a server and provided menus and waters. We ordered 2 of their craft cocktails ($12-15) and the octopus appetizer. The cocktails came out in 2 minutes and were exceptional! The appetizer came out shortly after, and despite it being a frequent dish for us it was THE BEST octopus dish we've ever had... $23 for a very full plate, cooked and sauced to perfection. The pickled fresno peppers were a unique and delicious addition that we especially enjoyed. For entrees I had the short rib over black rice, with glazed carrots and my counterpart the teres major over orzo with preserved lemon. Both were mid $30 and portions were sufficient for those of us with big appetites! These aren't fancy petite dishes, they are fancy, inspired and HEARTY. We shared a few bites of each, and again it was some of the best food I'd ever had. We finished with the chocolate cobbler and a beautiful espresso martini. Dining, drinks and service were all 10/10. We will be returning on our next visit to Raleigh. Thank you Rosewater for such a divine dining experience

Sheldon T.

Yelp
I just looked at my review from the opening days... what can I say ? These folks "get it"... Keep the food quality high and pair it with stellar service and you win every time!!! Rita at the bar is a gem but even as servers change/evolve clearly the training and expectations of the management maintains a high quality outcome! Well done Rosewater! Cannot wait to enjoy the new openings as the restaurant group expands their footprint!!!

Jackie A.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I had the Short Rib and my friend had the Lamb, both recommended by our server. We shared the Asparagus with plum chutney and toasted walnuts. Absolutely delicious, repeat visit is on tap. Service was on point despite the busyness of the facility. Ambiance was great. Nicely decorated for the Holidays. Noise level was acceptable for table conversations.

Vida O.

Yelp
I've been to rosewater for both lunch and brunch and I'm always blown away each time I try a new menu item. Such a cute indoor and outdoor space- with lots of patio seating. The octopus is probably my favorite appetizer and filling enough to enjoy as an entree since it's served over fingerling potatoes. The branzino is SO SO GOOD but do keep in mind that it's not served with any sides. I ordered a side of pesto orzo which was large enough to share between 2 people. Brunch menu: I tried the yogurt and granola, avocado toast and Nutella toast. All portions were pretty sizable and can easily be share. The rosewater wine spritzer was so refreshing and heavy on the wine! :-) I honestly haven't tried anything I didn't like at Rosewater. I'm definitely going back!

Taylor S.

Yelp
My favorite bite: The steak and eggs! I ordered mine with a side salad instead of root vegetable hash. The steak was more like a prime rib. No complaints here! What to know for next time: Online menu differed from the in-restaurant menu. I had my eye on the rotisserie ribeye cheesesteak. Was a little disappointed to see it wasn't being served. The burger made me feel better! Pro tip: Make reservations online! Brunch ends at 2 p.m. What gave me pause: The chimichurri on the steak and eggs -- I'll order it without next time!

Chantelle H.

Yelp
Rosewater is my go to spot for brunch! Very cute outdoor garden that definitely creates a vibe. I enjoyed the crab cakes which were accompanied by eggs cooked to your liking as well as a side salad. I really wanted to try the scones and muffins but they were out of both. Make sure to try their signature cocktail, the perfect refresher on a hot Sunday.

Lori R.

Yelp
Quality food and gorgeous ambiance! Having had a sudden change in brunch plans, we decided to venture to North Hills, parked in one of the decks and asked if they had room for us and they did. A beautiful spot on the "inside" garden patio. We were given paper menus (strange to say that, I know, but in these covid days, it's more common to have to scan and find the menu with our phones.) Service was nicely quick and we were ready to order unsweetened tea for me (yum peach!) and excellent coffee for Husband. Croque Madame for me and Steak & Eggs for Husband. Our food came out very quickly! And very visually appealing. We were asked if we wanted salt & pepper or hot sauce and we asked for all, and I will say we were halfway through before they appeared, but even better, when steak knives were finally offered it really helped both of us. The bread for my dish is obviously artisan and made in house. It is served super thick with the edges hard enough that once the steak knife appeared, I was in a much better place to enjoy it. Same with Husband who was having problems cutting his steak until he got the good knife. But the flavors and quality of ingredients were all on point. Perfectly prepared. If I could make a slight suggestion for my egg dish, it would be for a bit of acid in the salad that accompanied it. Vinegar or lemon juice would have taken it over the top. For dessert we were offered a chocolate chess pie or lemon bar. We chose the pie and it was extra special in that it was topped with raspberry gelato and a raspberry gel. Plus some little round chocolate crispy delights. Very nice!

Anna P.

Yelp
I'm so happy I finally got to check out Rosewater. I stopped here for cocktails with a few friends on a Friday night after we had dinner at Yardhouse. We sat at the bar and our bartender was so nice! The cocktails were so good, especially the Fine and Sandy. The blueberry lychee mule was also good but I would have preferred a stronger lychee flavor. I definitely want to come back to try their food after looking at their menu!

Andrea M.

Yelp
We had a 6pm reservation (definitely recommend) and were promptly seated inside near the outside glass doors. Very pretty restaurant and all of the staff seamed friendly. Our waitress was Katie and she was very attentive. Medium noise level but it was still light out. Even though the restaurant was busy, the food came out at a good time. I had the short rib and it was "ok". I wish it had more of the pineapple chutney; It came with six tiny pieces on top. My husband ordered the pork chops and he said they were ok. If you're hungry, definitely order more sides. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and the mashed potatoes, as our sides. Brussel sprouts were great and the potatoes were Just potatoes. I look forward to eating there again.

Amy W.

Yelp
Wow - I was very impressed with my recent visit to Rosewater! I had been one time previously (maybe in 2019) and enjoyed it, but honestly think they have leveled up since then. First, the ambiance and decor is a whole vibe, and a very, very good one. The outdoor garden patio is stunning, and stepping inside transports you from the hustle of North Hills, Raleigh to a charming Parisian bistro. The romance, intimacy, and buzz was palpable and reverberated through every touch and detail from the hostess, wait staff, to the chef and kitchen, and even the playlist. I'm big on ambiance and Rosewater gets an easy A from me in that category. However, I'm a bit of a tougher sell when it comes to service and the freshness, flavor, and also the quality of the food. You gotta have it all going just right if I will vouch a 5 star on Yelp, and y'all...this is absolutely 5 stars hands down! I'm still over the moon about my experience on Friday evening. Our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, bubbly, with just a little spunk that we just adored. She was absolutely fantastic and gave great recommendations (order the French 75 in her honor, you won't regret it!). The cherry on top was the very thoughtful and rare gesture of a table visit from the GM. *chefs kiss* I can't wait to return and will be bringing friends!

Yelp
Food is decent, atmosphere definitely top notch and the servers were attentive. Great for a girlfriend's brunch if looking for something different.

Yelp
From start to finish Rosewater met our expectations and more. The ambiance was beautiful. Great place for date night, but also a nice place for a group dinner. Rosewater has outdoor seating and inside. Either setting will be beautiful. We sat inside. Nicole was our server. She was so nice and attentive. Not sure of the gentleman name, but I think he was the manager. He gave us great recommendations and also checked on us mid-dinner. We started with the octopus. Delicious. Omg mouth watering. I've never had octopus that tasted soooo so good. It's a must try. We both had the salmon, which was super good. My husband noted the broth was a bit salty but other than that it was great. Our daughter had the mac and cheese without bacon bites. Another good meal. She really enjoyed her time. She even had the rosewater martini as a mock tail. Of course I had the alcoholic version and it was delicious. For desert we had chocolate chess pie. Now friends, this was super yummy and the best desert I had in a while at a restaurant. Overall, we had an amazing time. So glad we came and we will be back. Hoping we will be outside next time. Thanks for having us!

Yelp
Solid meal, but not worth the price tag. My gf and I walked by this beautiful place on our way to STIR one night and told ourselves we had to come back and try this place out. We finally went, and while not underwhelmed, definitely wouldn't be returning. Service was a little slow, but nothing to work ourselves up over. We're there to take in the ambience after all. I ordered wine and Whole Branzino (salsa verde, charred lemon, Calabrian, chili, and zest). I was very pleased with the taste and can say the food was delicious. I was a little disappointed with the bill since both my gf and I were still hungry after finishing our meals. I paid $32 for the branzino alone and while tasty, I can't eat the fish whole. I understand it's Raleigh and you virtually overpay for every meal in the city, but this one did stick out as not being worth a $150 date night I believe we would've scored this place higher if it wasn't directly next to STIR, which definitely does both portion and flavor better. As we walked away, we both agreed how we wished STIR's food could be served at Rosewater's location for the perfect restaurant. We're glad we tried the restaurant out, but think we'll stick with STIR for our North Hills visits going forward

Yelp
Came on a Friday evening with a party of 2. We got the tuna tartare, pork chop, strip loin, fingerling potatoes and lemon zest. Ambiance: 5/5 This is one of the best aspects of the restaurant. I would love to come for a morning brunch and eat outdoor! Service: 5/5 Friendly and food came fast Food: 4/5 The tartare was ok. The pork chop that came out was over cooked but they replaced it with a new one which was much better. I loved the berry sauce that came with it. The strip loin reminded me of a prime rib. The fingerling potatoes were probably the best ones I've had as the lemon zest really elevated them! And the lemon bar was decent. Price: 4.5/5

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance but that's it. The menu didn't look appealing so I got the mac and cheese which also disappointed me. This would be a cute place for drinks with the girls though!

Yelp
The best thing is the atmosphere, very nice, both inside and out. Service was good and the manager stopped by our table to check in which was a nice touch. Food - I had the half chicken. Really nothing special there at all. A bit on the dry side and not overly flavorful. My housemate had the steak and she said it was full of gristle and would expect a better cut for $45. I had a glass of Sangria which was nice although very light on the alcohol. Prices - on the high side, expect at least $50 - $75 a person. Value for money - plus on the atmosphere and service, minus on the food prices and quality. Overall, below average for value. A few pieces of bread were $5. The restaurant could throw that in for a nice touch. On the other hand, it is in an expensive area, and there not too many places you can wander outside and enjoy the location. Plenty of parking in the parking decks as well so no worries there.

Yelp
A little piece of paradise in North Hills. Sexy cocktails at the bar while eating one of the delicious appetizers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Absolute 10/10 experience. Went on a date to this location and had a great time. The place was very busy so I recommend getting a reservation a couple days ahead. Really enjoyed the environment, minus it being a little loud at times. I ordered the salmon and it was really tasty. As for service, waiter was very diligent and fun to talk to. Will be back.

Yelp
We chose this place as somewhere new to try on date night. My girlfriend is a bit of a foodie and I myself would say im a fairly practiced chef. We were both incredibly happy with the service and the wait staff at Rosewater. The ambiance was fantastic and cute, and we sat outside on the lit terrace during a nice cool evening. We both ordered for cocktails: - Thyme after thyme: a gin and st germain cocktail that was 10/10 full satisfied and would recommend. Not too sweeet. Very herbaceous. We ordered the following appetizers: - Pipe rigate (mac and cheese): 10/10 very solid Mac and cheese - Fresh made bread: quite bland. Good texture but missing herbs and SALT. We asked for extra balsamic but ultimately probably wouldn't recommend. We had seen other reviews warning about the lack of flavor but we wanted to try for ourselves. We agreed. - Tuna poke: very good, would recommend as well. For main entrees we got: - Short rib: the short rib dish was served over a black earthy textured rice that was seasoned with almost honey and some spices that was absolutely phenomenal. Great attention to additional mix ins like pickled carrots and we both loved it. The short rib itself was seasoned well, but for a meat that's slow cooked at low temperature, it was one of the driest short ribs I've ever had. Not sure what happened there. - Teres major: again had a base of Orzo pasta with shaved garlic and other assorted additives that was the highlight of the dish. Similar to the short rib dish we felt the meat aspect fell short of expectations. The meat in this dish is a beef tenderloin which we ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfect. However, it was lacking flavor and seasoning. With a tenderloins (lean beef) it needed more seasoning and an aggressive crust / sear. But it was kind of bland and again, needed SALT. (To be clear were not big salt people but some salt is necessary lol). But this dish was very good but we'd probably order something else next time. Overall: we were glad that we gave it a shot, the place looked amazing and service was great but there are a lot of other competitive Mediterranean options in the area.

Yelp
Rosewater kitchen and bar was popping on a Friday night! We had just come from out of town so we wanted some thing light and quick to eat. While there were other restaurants around us I have been to rosewater before. We had to wait a little bit to get a seat at the bar, but it was worth it. We had several their cocktails and the espresso martini was my favorite! I didn't get a picture of the bone marrow that we had and that was probably my favorite thing we had on the appetizer menu. I would recommend making a reservation a few weeks in advance. We tried to make a reservation a week in advance but there were a lot of times that were not available.

Yelp
Made a reservation 1 week in advance for Sunday brunch at 10 AM. Only option for seating was "Standard" I didn't think anything of it because it's my first time here. I get there a few minutes early and walk in, host tells me to go outside because they're not open yet. My mistake, I should've checked the time first. No more than 60 seconds later, host comes outside and asks for whoever arrived first to please come in, and for everyone else to wait. This caused confusion, because the majority of folks waiting outside were reservations. He then changed his mind and said reservations first. I hear folks in front of me chatting about where they'd like to sit. When my time comes around, host doesn't ask, but tells us we are sitting outside. I am puzzled because I don't routinely make outdoor reservations (I feel service is generally slower). He tells me there's no room for my party inside. I say okay and am seated, and this is when I check opentable to confirm outdoor vs indoor reservations, and confirm option was only standard. If you can't select an indoor reservation, how was there no room for my party? We were the third party seated, but there was no room for us inside. The host seemed like he hated his job. Waitress was nice but we waited a while for everything. I ordered a Tajin Sunrise, which the menu states comes with a Tajin rim, though there was no Tajin rim. Biscuits came and were delicious, but we were given no small plates. Needed to request from different waitress. We got the crab cake eggs Benedict and I got the shakshuka. Eggs Benedict was good, shakshuka had great flavor. We saw another couple outside leave after being seated for a while with no greeting.

Yelp
Not impressed! Beside the fact that it's overpriced, couldn't believe that I had to ask for a free glass of water ( rather then pay for their "charged" bottle of water) or that it was such a big deal to get 1 more slice of bread for the $16 Brie appetizer. Ordered the basic salad ... honestly it tasted like I was eating grass. Atmosphere was great but won't be returning.
