The Best Sports Bars In NYC - New York - The Infatuation
"There are sports bars, and then there are sports bars where you can order an orange pet-nat. That’s Rounders. This polished Greenpoint spot is essentially the opposite of a dive, with stylish dark wood accents and comfy barstools with backs. But the best thing about Rounders is the covered patio out back, with a massive screen of its own. Second-best is the menu of fancified bar food, like crunchy, pesto-striped pepperoni pizza wontons, or a wonderfully moist and garlicky chicken milanese sandwich. The third-best thing is the NBA Jam machine." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, bryan kim
New Restaurant Openings NYC: April 2025 | Eater NY
"A new Greenpoint sports bar opened April 10 by co-owners Noah Goldman and Vinny Milburn (a fish buyer for Greenpoint Fish and Lobster) in the former Esme space, offering beers, games, and bar food like chicken wings." - Emma Orlow
Rounders - Review - Greenpoint - New York - The Infatuation
"Rounders, from the Greenpoint Fish and Lobster folks, is a sports bar in Greenpoint that looks like it has the potential to be North Brooklyn’s answer to Rocco’s. The zhuzhed-up bar food is from someone who used to work at Cozy Royale, and includes things like black garlic caesar, tuna melt croquettes, and wings.
We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman
New Burger Restaurant HighLife Opens in NYC’s East Village | Eater NY
"The shuttered Greenpoint restaurant Esme (which opened in 2014 and closed in 2024) at 999 Manhattan Avenue near Huron Street is being converted into a new sports bar, tentatively opening Wednesday, March 12. Co-owners Noah Goldman and Greenpoint Fish and Lobster’s fish buyer Vinny Milburn are leading the project; Goldman recounts that he frequented Esme often but thought the neighborhood needed a sports bar. Expect beer offered tapped, by the glass, pitcher, or bucket, plus cocktails. Chef Matt Dickhaut, who had been cooking at Greenpoint Fish’s pop-up at Threes Brewing, will oversee a food menu including burgers, chicken wings, and sandwiches." - Nadia Chaudhury
Love this place! I came here for NBA playoffs and it was packed with a great group of people who wanted to have fun and watch the game. Tons of screens, the sound is good and the bathrooms are super clear (always a plus in my book). Drinks were awesome, I had both the Guinness Espresso Martini which was great for $13, but the The Quencher made with yellow Gatorade was my fave- and the staff was kind enough to swap out the mezcal for vodka. I didn't get the chance to eat, but saw the food going around and will def be back to try it out!

My favorite new bar in town. 🫶🏻 Great wings, yummy cocktails, and kind staff. Patio is covered so it works if it’s sunny or rainy!

A well thought out (beautiful) sports bar with no dirtbags and no sticky floors! A dream!!
The staff -nice and welcoming, and not fake nice, like actually nice! A neighborhood staple that we needed- that’s not another wine bar (love all of them but nice to switch it up)
I never foresaw myself spending so much time at a sport bar with my girlfriends but alas we can’t stop going! The wings are 🤌🏼💋and the mezcal quencher is the best.
You can tell the owners really care about the neighborhood & the good people that come in.

We loved our first visit here! Came to watch the WNBA on a Sunday and it wasn’t overly crowded. They take requests for what to play on the TVs and they had at least 7 screens. Drinks were good and we had an order of wings that hit the spot. Didn’t feel too bro-ey which is important. We’ll be back.

Rounders is the perfect mix of chill vibes and great energy. Super friendly staff, fun crowd, and TVs everywhere for game day. The food goes way beyond your typical bar menu (get the chicken Milanese sandwich!), and the drinks are solid. Love the back patio too. It’s quickly becoming my go-to in Greenpoint.

Finally, a great spot to watch sports in the neighborhood—Rounders nails it. The brew selection is solid, with fair prices that keep you coming back. Food’s tasty enough to hold its own, not just an afterthought. Bonus: it’s an awesome crowd for Mets games—lively, loyal, and loud in all the right ways.

Rounders is a refreshing addition to the neighborhood — just what we needed! It’s a classy joint where locals can catch a game and enjoy some tasty bar food. Big bonus: they have outdoor seating.
