The Football Fans' Guide to Cleveland Food

"Cleveland sports fans thrive on nostalgia, cherishing memories of past victories and beloved moments. That sentiment comes alive at The Rowley Inn, located in the Tremont neighborhood, adjacent to the famous house from the movie “A Christmas Story.” Owners Jon Oberman and Raphael Rivilla infuse every comforting dish with Cleveland pride, honoring the city’s working-class roots. “The pierogi-and-kielbasa dinner is our specialty,” says Oberman. They stuff the pierogi with potato and cheese and serve them alongside two spicy Hungarian sausages, with peppers, onions, and house slaw. With roots going back to 1906, The Rowley Inn caters to fans seeking comforting, familiar flavors before or after a big game." - Wendy Pramik

The 20 Best Restaurants In Cleveland

"This Cleveland institution opens every day at 7am, and cooks up comfort food for third-shift steel mill workers and tourists visiting the famed A Christmas Story House and Museum across the street. The breakfast bangers include avocado toast, bacon-wrapped tater tots, and an omelet stuffed with pierogi and Hungarian kielbasa. There are great latkes (which also happen to be vegan), and the smokehouse mac with pulled pork and peach-bourbon BBQ might just be the highlight of your week. The dining area is small, and the kitchen is even smaller, so enjoy a movie-themed cocktail at the bar while you wait for a table. " - kate bigam kaput

Nice smaller Bar & Grill. It doesn't have all the fancy lighting, wall art, furniture to make you think you're dining in a shmoozie place. But what it does have is originality that's paying respect to its roots and many years as a Bar & Grill in a Blue Collar, Ship Yard Town .. CLE! We were kindly greeted and were seated at a table that I'm sure has had many Beers knocked over while stories and laughter were being told. The menu was interesting and food choices unique.. everything read so deliciously it was hard to pick just one. So I decided on the CLE Shrimp & Grits. I was in Heaven after that Grits. I was in Heaven after that first bite! The smoothness and cheesiness of the Grits, the subtle crunch of the fresh thinly cut strips of Red/Green Peppers, the sweetness of onion, the slight earthiness of the mushrooms, and the spicy but flavorful small bite of Hungarian sausage slices, that were all married together in a wonderful sauce and topped with perfectly cooked tail on shrimps and crispy bacon. It was a Kaleidoscope of flavors in my mouth that brought me to my comfort place. Oh was that good! I could only eat half and brought the other half home.

Google
Yummy place for pierogies and kielbasa!! Burgers are delicious as well. Small bar area with tables arranged through out. You are not on top of each other but it’s not a huge place so if you go during peak dinner hours you may have to wait for a table. Right across the street from “a Christmas story house” which makes it a nice place to stop in to eat at if going on the Christmas story tour.

Jonathan Lorine

Google
A bit squished in there but this was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Burgers and mac n cheese were some of the best I have had. Also, it is right across from the house from a Christmas Story, so that helped the experience even further.

Rob Wilson

Google
This is very close to the Christmas Story house and museum. It plays a part in the movie as well as it helped cement the location for the movie. Ok, what is the place like today? It is a tight-fitting restaurant/bar with more space for people than expected. They have something for everyone. Gf, vegetarian vegan? You are covered. Need a drink? They have local and bigger brands as well. The food is great with large serving sizes. Dessert is cheesecake (probably other stuff, but we were full). Check it out

Google
Great place for brunch! There is a huge variety of dishes and everything appears to be hand made! Delicious Poutine and breakfast tacos. The salad is large and so fresh!

The Punisher

Google
Amazing hidden gem. Out of this world food. Every dish was unique and delicious at great prices. The staff was laid back and friendly, but always on there game by removing used dishes and always ready to refill my wife and kids drinks. Small but cozy restaurant. No ramps for wheelchairs, but if you can get up those fews steps I recommend it, I did it and no regrets. Only street parking.

Google
Food was as advertised. We had the DDD Food Network tried and liked Bacon Wrapped tator tots and the Loco Moski. We also hsd the Pierogi dinner plate which was lively, peppery and with spicy kielbasa. The Great Lakes beer was cold and paired well with the tots. The Pineapple Cider was cool and refreshing. Service was spotty and late at times. Although generally friendly. The atmosphere is old tavern with the metal and wooden chairs with hard top tables and plank floors.

Google
Went to Rowley Inn based on reviews. The experience was everything we hoped for. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a nice selection of food and beverages. Plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite events. Just an FYI, this isn’t the place for a meal with quiet conversation. (I loved the energy in the place) Service with a smile and food brought to your table in a reasonable amount of time. Our table had the Rowley burger-prepared just right, the Mac and Cheese and the Kielbasa with pierogis. All tasted great. My kielbasa and pierogis were outstanding. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails!

Yelp
Small Bar and Grill in a corner house, we were seated quickly by a friendly staff. Ordered the bacon wrapped tots, schnitzel sammy. Tots were delicious, bacon was crispy and the potatos were well salted and the ranch was great. Ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich, which was large! Ordered it without tomato and it came with, no big deal picked it off; the sandwhich had mustard but needed more to be present- sandwhich ate a little dry otherwise was good. Food came a bit slow and it was getting busy long after we came in. Drinks stayed topped off and staff was friendly. This was on DDD and we ended up seated near the signed picture, cool bonus in addition to the location across the street.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Tables are very close together, so why I am bringing it down a star. It is in an old building , so I get you have to make do but just saying! Also the music was super loud for 8:25 on a Friday morning! Food- was all ever good and I might have had the best potato latke ever! Fried nice and crispy! Husband really enjoyed his schnitzel waffle breakfast sandwich. The pancake was also very good! Service was great and coffee was never empty! Would go back!

Yelp
We love the food at the Rowley Inn, especially the vegan options. It allows our entire family a chance to eat breakfast out together. We always call ahead and it takes about 20 minutes to drive to the Rowley Inn. We still had a short wait upon arrival but it wasn't bad. It was Father's Day and it was very busy. We were seated in the back directly over a vent and it was very cold during our entire meal. I asked to move but was told the empty tables were for reservations and there were no moving tables. I was not aware we could make reservations. It seems they take reservations on Mother's Day and Father's Day. Now we know. We were happy with the meal.

Yelp
We were recommended this place for breakfast and was so happy we tried it out. It's directly across from the Christmas Story house so that was cool we got to see that! Their menu is polish themed and the flavors were delicious. I ordered the Loco Moski and my fiancé ordered the Rowley Breakfast. Both were delicious and served hot. Great menu, quick service and delicious food.

Yelp
The bartender/server was amazing. I love it when I get an employee that not only knows the food but knows the city and can talk about some of its history. I changed my itinerary to go to the Lakeview Cemetery after he mentioned it and spent three hours there. The food was exceptional. I ordered a lot so that I could taste a few things. The pierogis were the best thing I had on my trip. I would love to have this corner bar in my area!

Yelp
Such a great little dive bar with amazing food and service. Joey is amazing and we are so glad we stopped in for brunch! Decadent food with great flavors and everything was priced right too - huge portions. My husband got sausage, bacon and pepperjack cheese in his omelette and was obsessed with every bite. The fried green tomatoes were a huge hit as well. The ranch was delicious and I loved dipping my fries in the leftover. They have a lot of gluten free options for a pub grub kind of place which is super refreshing to see! Definitely will be back for happy hour and dinner before the next game we go to.

Yelp
I found this place on Reddit and I must say, this was probably the best brunch that I've ever had. As soon as I wanted into the place, I knew I had found the right place. It's a beautiful neighborhood bar that is large and very clean, yet feels very inviting. The staff was super friendly and made excellent recommendations. Everyone that came into the place was greeted with genuine enthusiasm and hospitality. The food was absolutely amazing! They had one crabcake left and asked if I wanted it as a sandwich or as an appetizer. It was probably one of the best crabcakes I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, plenty of crab meat, and served with a delicious remoulade. The poutine breakfast dish was equally was amazing. The portion size was extremely generous, it was piping hot, all of the flavors culminated in one of my favorite breakfast dishes ever. This is a MUST visit if you are in the Cleveland area!

Yelp
Wife and I stopped by for a bite while checking out the area. This came from a recommendation from DDD. We ordered the bacon wrap tots, and they were GREAT. I had the loaded rogi and it was pretty good. There was a spice that I could not place that was a little strong for me, but the pierogis were some of the best I have had since visiting Poland. The sausage was also delicious. I would recommend coming here and checking out the food. The staff was also very friendly.

Yelp
Went to brunch in the past couple weeks. Was told 45 minutes for a table. Sure. It was a nice Sunday. Walked around outside. Checked out the Christmas Story museum. They call you when your table is ready. I had the Rowleyquiles described as: Chicken, chorizo, peppers, onions, beans, corn, spicy sofrita sauce topped w/cheddar & pepper jack, 2 over easy eggs, served over home fries, tortilla strips This is the first time I've had pieces of chorizo at a restaurant. It's usually the consistency of ground beef taco meat. Not this. Pieces of chorizo. Large hand cut pieces of everything else in the bowl. It had spice and flavor. Portion was massive and I couldn't finish it. Such a great menu I'll be back. So many other items to try.

Yelp
Having frequented Rowley Inn for dinner service and drinks on a number of occasions in the past, I was brought back this weekend after hearing about how good their brunch menu was. I am glad I did--as although I have always found the dinner menu to be fine enough, the dive's brunch is really where the small Tremont location shines. The restaurant itself is slightly cramped and doesn't have much personality, but the quality of the meal more than made up for it. I tried the location's famous bacon-wrapped tots, and "A Rare and Different Muffin." The muffin specifically was freshly baked from Terrapin Bakery, which elevated this classic sausage-egg-and-cheese to one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Cleveland.

Ailin J.

Yelp
Top brunch in cleveland. I love when I get to come back because breakfast options here are large and more than just classic basic breakfast options. They can get crowded during the weekends but service is so fast and the food comes out quick, it's always a joy to eat here! FYI you can make it a cute day date and walk the towpath around Tremont or even to Ohio city after brunch.

Yelp
First time here. Not sure what took me so long. Great service, great selection of food. Plentiful too. Yum. Come hungry. Hit the Christmas Story House & gift shop B4 or after. What a fun afternoon.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is h e a v y but very good. We got the classic meal of the loko moski. It was just a lot. We also split some special Asian inspired kielbasa sandwich which tbh I don't recommend. It was fine but not Asian or American or German (?) enough to be anything. So long as you stick to the classics you can't really go wrong though. The beer is cold and the service is friendly. I would 100% go back.

Yelp
I was craving a burger and google told me this was the place to go. It's a nice place with very traditional fare. Service was pretty slow. Although my burger was good, I wouldn't say it's the best. The Perogi's were very nice. Meatloaf was also pretty standard.

Amy G.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food!! Wonderful service from very friendly staff. Open and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I have been here a few times - meals are always pretty solid. My fav the Avocado Toast. Seems pricey for one piece of toast. But I was happily stuffed. The only downside is - the acoustics. It is just so loud. We had slightly yelling conversations. Parking can be a challenge. But none of this will deter me from returning.
google avatar

Yelp
The food: always on point, I dont care what it is, its good. Bartenders and servers are always there when you need them. Good service is difficult to find these days. Right across the street is the ever famous, A Christmas Story House. Cant ask for more..
google avatar

Yelp
After our visit of the Christmas Story House, museum & all we saw a bar and had to stop. Love corner bars. I had no idea triple D's was there until we sat & the bar and looked up then saw on the menu. So many drink options! I got the pear cider which is hard to find. Hubby got a millet lite. Best pierogis in my life!!! They were fully stuffed with sautéed onions and sauerkraut. Even my husband who tasted them had to agree. Sell them in the grocery store! I would drive from central PA to visit this place again. Great bartender too. He was very busy but had great communication.
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for a corner bar with great food and drinks? You found it, Rowley Inn. While visiting Cleveland we took a tour of the Christmas Story house and this quaint bar sits at the corner. We sat at the bar and bartenders were amazing. It's not a huge place but it's outdone by the food and ambiance. Delicious. I had the Loco Moski and it was amazing. The pierogi with the medium beef patty and eggs blend perfectly for only $19. Would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
The chicken schnitzel was excellent and a huge portion! The garlic mashed potatoes had so much garlic they were inedible and I let my husband try them and he also couldn't eat them. My 3 stars is for the wait staff, I didn't find them to be very friendly to me as a tourist but they were friendly to people that were obvious regulars. I asked if they served coke or Pepsi and the waiter said cola and looked at me like I asked the most dumb question ever. Coke and pepsi has different products so I feel that was a valid question. Maybe I just visited on a bad day but I probably wouldn't come back whenever I'm in the Cleveland area again. Update: Thank you to the owner for replying and explaining the cola situation! I would definitely give the place a second chance now that I know, maybe I would try a different side dish! Thank you so much for replying!
google avatar

Janice J.

Yelp
Fun place to stop by for whenever you're visiting the Christmas story house or just want some good food. I enjoyed the pierogi meal. With five nice size pierogies and some homemade sauerkraut, it was the perfect size meal for me. You can't beat homemade pierogies in Cleveland. They also have a good beer, selection of draft and can. My friend liked the spicy chicken sandwich. Good service good food.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Food, incredible. Service and employees are great. Be prepared to wait and drive around the block a time or two for parking but that's par for the neighborhood. The only issue here might be the acoustics for people sensitive to noise.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this gem while in town for my daughter's treatment at the Cleveland Clinic. Local joint with plenty of options! My wife and I were in the mood for a burger. My wife is a little bit of a burger snob.....lol but she said it was "good". I give the chili burger a 6.5 outta 10. Flavorful, cooked to perfection but didn't seem like grass fed beef like my wife likes. Overall very nice restaurant and if town check it out! Very good service and friendly staff.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Brunch, lunch and dinner...oh my! Great staff and service on top of an amazing menu for any time of year. Love the brunch and great place to stop anytime you are in the tremont area!

Yelp
Incredible place tucked into a small neighborhood! Stopped in before a play in theater district. Went with sharing a plate of bacon wrapped tater tots - homemade, not frozen- tasted great. Then shared an everything but bagel breakfast. ,2 eggs- 3 delicious potato pierogis, bunch of spicy sausage- with bit of gravy . HUGE pour of champagne- into mimosa. Well worth going to!
google avatar

Yelp
Five Stars all the way! Supreme Service, Delicious food, Wonderful experience! The food here is top notch--it's clear people care about what they are serving. The coffee is hot and they keep your cup full. PERFECTION!

Yelp
Great dive bar type restaurant with delicious food and plentiful drink options. Rowley Inn is located at a great spot, right near the Christmas Story House tourist spot. We came on a Saturday night and were able to grab a table right away. It is only street parking around this area but we had no trouble finding a spot up the street. I could see parking being an issue if you went at a super busy time or during nicer weather. Their menu is huge and they have a lot of great polish options. They even have vegan pierogis! I got the spicy kielbasa and pierogi plate and it was literally so good. It really hit the spot. I loved the subtle kick of the kielbasa and the sour cream was perfect with it. The pierogis were delicious also. They had several TVs with March madness games going which was nice! Food came out quick and prices were great. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to others.
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I took a short trip to Cleveland, and made a stop at the Rowley Inn for dinner. It's a cozy place with kind of a sports bar vibe, and great food inside! Our group of three came here around 7:30pm on a Saturday, and to our surprise, we were seated immediately without a reservation (I don't think they take reservations here). For food, I went with the kielbasa and pierogi plate. It was incredible! So much food for a decent price, and it was delicious. I loved the pierogis and the spice of the kielbasa. The sour kraut wasn't the best I've ever had, but I didn't mind it much. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their menu. My friend with a dairy allergy was able to eat the vegan pierogis here, which she was very excited about! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. P.S. the house from the "A Christmas Story" movie is right across the street, which is a fun photo-op when you're in the area

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place forever, and I'm glad I got the chance to finally do so recently. We were able to find bar seating and were greeted right away once we sat down. They have a good selection of beers to choose from, and a full bar as well. For starters, we ordered the fried pickles and Reuben rolls- both were amazing. We ended up boxing up half of the appetizers because the portions were pretty big, and we wanted to save room for entrees. For the main event, we ordered the stuffed poblano pepper and the fried green tomato blt-they were both extremely good. The pepper was stuffed with smoked beef burnt ends, a mixture of cheeses, and green chilies and it was served over cheesy grits, finished off with a rojo sauce and fresh cilantro. It was flavorful, hearty, and savory. The blt had fried green tomatoes, perfectly crisp bacon, arugula, pineapple salsa, and pepper jack cheese on a grilled sourdough bread. It was a classic blt but elevated, the flavors worked perfectly together. Of course, the portions for the entrees were very large so we boxed up most of those too. We ordered a slice of key lime cheesecake to go, which was devoured around 1am as a delicious late-night snack. The food was so good that I actually woke up craving it, so I had a fried pickle and a Reuben roll for breakfast. The leftover blt was lunch/dinner, and even then, it was still amazing. I was very impressed with my first experience here, can't wait to try their brunch next.

Yelp
The bacon wrapped tater tots are something to behold, as is the sauce that comes with it. Absolutely amazing, see why Guy Fieri recommends it. I had the chicken schnitzel, and it was nice and thin and crispy. It was a huge portion that came with mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. I went for the broccoli first and it tasted amazing, it was nice and tender. Love the local pub atmosphere.

sam

Yelp
Went to Rowley's Inn because I saw they had gluten free bread and I have celiacs. They did not disappoint! Waitress assured me that they take great precaution and that the home fries are in a dedicated fryer. I got the Rowley's Breakfast Sandwich and it was amazing only thing I would change is I think I got skimmed out on the homefries

Yelp
One of the oldest and still one of the best places to hang out and grab some great food
google avatar

Colin S.

Yelp
This certified hood classic has gotten a lot of exposure to suburbanites due to its proximity to the Christmas Story house. You can look out the front window of the bar and look at it. This place serves iconic Cleveland favorites like brats and paprikash. Of which, the paprikash is as good as Mom's. (Sorry Mom) They also have the typical bar food fare which never disappoints. The service is pretty good. It's a hang out for the working class and the hipsters. They do a good job getting people in and out during Christmas House season.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the service was as well. This is an old restaurant with a rich history. It opened in 1906. It isn't fancy but it very friendly I went around noon on New Year's Eve and it was filled with people who seemed like "the locals," and those from out of town. There's a bar there and just lots of old-fashioned brown tables and chairs. People sit very close together, as it looks like they have done all they can to accommodate people who visit. There is. Digital jukebox where it looks like an old fashioned one might have been- and there are several televisions so folks at the bar can see sports programs. You have to park on the street but there seemed to be lots of street space available. Loved this place. I had shrimp and grits that were to die for! And I forgot that it's right across the street from the Christmas Story House.

chloe c.

Yelp
We were really excited to try Rowley's after hearing so many great things. The food was excellent, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our first server seemed bothered by us and walked away when we asked a simple question. I definitely get that it was a busy lunch rush, but it was disappointing after looking forward to trying Rowley Inn for so long. A different server later helped and was much nicer, but overall the staff didn't seem to communicate much -- we even saw a family leave after waiting too long to be seated. Amazing food, but the service needs work. Definitely recommend the pierogis they were awesome!!!
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
A good little restaurant/bar. The staff was friendly enough, and the food was quite good. It's rather loud inside and I feel like it's because the staff, which was numerous, is loud. If you're checking out the Christmas Story House across the street this is a good spot for lunch or dinner. I don't think I'd bring small children though.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Everything about this place gives you a five star experience! Delicious food and large portions! I sat at the bar. Mike was not working but Samantha was and she gave me the best service and was so sweet! I chose the shrimp and grits. The shrimps tasted fresh and they were jumbo size. I don't remember how many came in the bowl, but it was a lot! The sauce that it came in was so delicious. It had a spice to it, but not crazy spicy. The grits were in the middle and I have to say they almost tasted like soft rice consistency m. It wasn't as creamy as I thought it was going to be but the sauce that surrounded it was creamy. It was a very large portion I could not finish it all. I had coffee to drink, and it was good.
google avatar

Courtni B.

Yelp
Enjoyed our trip to Rowley Inn. They offer call ahead seating - it gets busy. The tots were executed well but didn't like the sauce they came with, it needed more ranch. Happy hour menu was well proved but main menu felt expensive... that is, it felt expensive until i saw the portion sizes and then it made sense. Didn't snap a picture of the sandwich francisco melt but it was good, absolutely huge

Yelp
I noticed this place when looking to visit the Christmas Story House. I did not realize from the map that it was literally across the street from the place! (More on that later) Parking is a challenge, but there is a lot for the museum. Not sure if it is proper to use that if you are visiting both places. I'll leave that one up to you. The place is a dive bar. The place was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I didn't look that up until after ordering and if I knew in advance I probably would have tried the bacon-wrapped tots! Instead, I went for Cleveland's Best Grilled Cheese - Grilled sourdough, cheddar, mozzarella/provolone blend, smoked gouda, mild jalapeño cream cheese, remoulade. I really enjoyed that! It was cheese overload, the good kind, and something a place like this should be good at. Service was mixed at best. I had a beer that came in a can for lunch. Hey, I have no problem with a can. If something is not on draft I prefer the can comes to the table, so I can verify it is what I think I ordered. I don't even mind a glass coming to the table with it. However, a hot glass out of the dishwasher? Nope, that's not going to work. I was comfortable drinking out of the can, so I didn't care, but I wish the service cared a little more. Especially for a BAR! Oh, about it being across the street from the Christmas Story house. Turns out that location came together by accident. When they were out in the area looking for some B reel of the steel mill in the background they noticed the house that was still decorated from the 50s. They knocked on the door hoping to ask the owner if they could shoot there. With no one home they walked across the street to the bar where the bar tender had no idea who owned the house. However, the only other person in the place at that time was the owner and the rest is now history.

Yelp
Perfectly Cleveland. Great service. Helpful friendly staff. Amazing comfort food classics in a fitting environment. It was hard to choose from the menu! I had the chicken paprikash and it was outstanding. My friend and I also shared the very very delicious bananas foster bread pudding. We rounded out the meal with some Great Lakes Oktoberfest. I live out of town and this meal was a delight for this transplanted Clevelander.

Yelp
Enjoyed an afternoon at The Christmas Story house and lunch at Rowley Inn. Everyone was so nice and there was a jukebox. Drinks were well made and the food was very good. Fries were crispy. Chicken Sammy was simple but 10/10 on all gears.

Yelp
Great dive bar with terrific food! The service was rather slow on a Thursday night, but the food more than made up for the lack of speed!

It is just so loud. We had slightly yelling conversations. Parking can be a challenge. But none of this will deter me from returning.

Yelp
Where has this place been my whole life?!! Seriously. It's a lovely place located within walking distance from where we were staying. We bellied up to the bar. Love the whole vibe of the place. It has that whole come sit in our home feel that I just love of local places. We ordered some drinks and they were perfection. They were out of some of the things we wanted to try but honestly, the menu was so full of interesting selections, we were plenty fine ordering other things. We were told they were busy the last few days and ran out of things, super excited for them in this post-Covid rebuild. I got the Loco Moski which is a meal I will dream about. If you are unaware of how amazing pierogis are, just come here. The mix of the egg, beef patty and peppered gravy with the pierogis...it is what we call in the South.."smack your momma good!" The hubby got the Banh CLE and was equally pleased with his meal. The other winner of the the night was their dessert drink, Be Sure to Drink Your Ovaltine. They were so good, we got two each. We'll be back and hopefully sooner than later. Service was amazing throughout our whole visit.

Yelp
Tremont classic. They have a large menu and the Christmas House is across the street, what's not to like.

Yelp
Rowley's Inn was a fantastic bar/grill type of place that we found on our recent trip to Cleveland. It was not in downtown Cleveland but rather on the outskirts in an almost residential looking neighborhood. It was a rather small and very busy place even mid week when we were there. They have a very large menu but they seemed to specialize in pierogies which is a Cleveland staple. We started off with an appetizer of Poutine which is a Canadian dish . It comes with a bed of fries topped with cheddar cheese curds and peppered gravy. That was a delicious starter as the fries themselves had great seasoning and the gravy was outstanding and who doesn't like cheese curds? For my main course I tried the "Clevander" Burger. It was an 8 ounce burger patty topped with kielbasa, a pierogi, saurkraut, beer cheese, stadium mustard, all on a seeded bun. This was a very busy burger with all the best Cleveland staples on it. Their pierogies were as good as advertised and even with all those different ingredients on there it all worked well together and made for a delicious burger. The beer cheese was probably my favourite thing on there but honestly it was all delicious. My wife enjoyed her plate of pierogies as well. This was definitely a worthy stop for a tourist in Cleveland. If I ever find myself back in Cleveland I definitely would stop by again.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal and the service makes you feel at home. The bloody Mary's are so good as are the lemon cello mimosas.

Yelp
Stopped for dinner at Rowley Inn on Saturday and had a fantastic chicken schnitzel and potato latke (pancake) dinner. We always forget to venture out to Rowley Inn, which is located across the street from the famous Christmas Story House in the Tremont area. We've visited the Christmas House before and love to see it's still open for tours. Parking is a little difficult with the narrow streets and had to park in the street. Inside the restaurant we were greeted immediately and seated near the bar. Service was quick and friendly. The menu had a lot of choices with a "Cleveland Twist" from burgers and sandwiches to meatloaf and schnitzel. Everything we had was served hot and delicious. Can't wait to visit them again soon.
