"Rreal Tacos reports that since July 2022, they’ve opened “one location almost every 120 days.” They have seven locations in Atlanta with two more announced." - Su-Jit Lin
"The dining area at this Midtown taco spot is dark and stuffed with so many tables it’s hard to navigate through the maze of people, especially after a few drinks. A huge margarita menu (passionfruit is our go-to) and the massive wall of liquor behind the bar send all the signals that tacos aren’t the priority here. But the tacos are actually good—even if you’re sober. Go for the superior specialty tacos like a crispy avocado for vegetarians or the picanha steak topped with pickled red onions and a fresh chimichurri sauce. It's a noisy drinking scene that’s almost always packed with Midtown residents born after the internet was invented, but if you want a taco spot that can serve as your pre- and endgame headquarters, Rreal is, well, for real. "There are six locations of this beloved taqueria all over Atlanta, with a Buckhead location coming soon. This is the joint for the college kids, the football pregame crowd, and those who want a quick bite with a side of booze, without the fuss. Try the Birria Barbacoa on a corn tortilla, or order a taco feast with four protein options and taco fixins." - Eater Staff
"Rreal Tacos, originally opened by chef Adrian Villarreal, features tacos and flavors inspired by Villarreal’s hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. Otero and Hernandez took over ownership in 2022 and are expanding the restaurant to multiple locations around Atlanta." - Beth McKibben
"Even though it's a Tex-Mex restaurant, Rreal Tacos has the same atmosphere as a trendy bar on a Friday night—it’s a little bit of a party. Exhibit A: Titanics are on the menu (10 shots of tequila for anyone unaware). The floor-to-ceiling bar is stocked with enough liquor to fill a tank at the Georgia Aquarium. And we dare you to find a table without a margarita on it. If you can’t commit to one margarita flavor, get the tasting flight. And for a turn-up spot in Midtown, the tacos are surprisingly good. They’ve got all the usual suspects (asada, carnitas, al pastor, chicken, etc.) served on corn tortillas. They top ‘em with onions, cilantro, and two tableside salsas. But their specialty tacos take it up a notch with a crispy avocado option for vegetarians and a picanha steak with pickled red onions and a fresh chimichurri sauce. photo credit: Amy Sinclair" - Juli Horsford
