27 Thrilling Thai Restaurants in New York City

"Don’t miss tum strawberry, a salad of strawberries and husk cherries seasoned with lime juice, chile paste, fish sauce, bird’s eye chiles, and Vietnamese mint, for a delightful multivalent wallop of flavor. This East Village newcomer offers a broad array of invented and long-ago historic dishes. The crab omelet is a luncheon dish chock full of crustacean, while a southern duck curry is served Malaysian style, with a peanut-enriched sauce, and rotis instead rice." - Robert Sietsema

Sietsema’s Best Dishes of 2023 - Eater NY

"The omelet at Rynn Thai ($20) arrives heaped with crab, but there’s also crab inside. The dish is pleasing to look at in its puffy brownness, and the touch of fish sauce makes it taste distinctively Thai." - Robert Sietsema

One of the best Thai foods I have ever ate in NYC! Small spot, very intimate and cozy! Foods were amazing! There were four of us and all four foods came out delicious! Appetizer and dessert were delicious!! The drinks were aromatic and tasty!!

Google
The duck curry w roti was excellent. I had a strawberry salad (similar to a green papaya salad but with strawberries and cape gooseberries instead) that rocked my world. The boo choy side was fresh and steamed perfectly. I wish i also had time to try the crab fried rice, but had to head to a show. There is an extensive cocktail list with a lot of thai offerings. I had a drink with fresh pandan in it that was straight out of bangkok. This is well thought out thai, the menu was extensive, presentation excellent. The waiter was extremely enthusiastic and passionate about the menu and drink menu and also welcoming. If you feel like thai beyond the standard takeout fare this is a good choice. Good for date night, eating alone, or friends. Make many reasons to go there!

As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I fell in love with the cozy vibe and warm lighting. For drinks, we ordered Thai iced tea and Tum Strawberry, and for the main courses, we tried Kra Prao Ribeye and Kee Mao. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Tum Strawberry was a delightful surprise, especially when paired with the spicy sauce and topped with nuts. It was a good combo that really whetted the appetite. The Kee Mao was another highlight; I loved its flavorful sauce. The calamari and shrimp were perfectly seasoned, complementing the noodles with just the right amount of spice. My friend ordered the ribeye, which came with rice, and it was equally impressive. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and the portion was just right. Good enough to fill you up. The only downside of this place is the price. With what we ordered, it came to over $50 per person after tips and tax :/ Overall, this dining experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend it—just be prepared for the cost!

Google
Such a beautiful space, the murals on the wall are gorgeous. The menus are beautiful as well. The lunch deal is probably one of the best in the city. $20 for a an entree and drink is amazing, especially in the east village. the portions were big and so tasty. The staff was super kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend!!

Really good food! I like the menu, it’s classic Thai but has a few add ons that make it special. The price point is fair as well. Interior is really nice and staff are very attentive. Wish they left water pitcher on the table because ours had to be refilled 4 times. But it was nice to have ye staff coming over to re-fill.

Exceptional service that felt like coming home. Our waitress took her time walking us through the flavors and creation behind every dish and cocktail--it made the whole experience feel personal and intentional. This East Village gem has a beautiful, intimate design and was surprisingly easy to get a table for lunch. Cocktails that impressed: * Sodalite: Unexpectedly delicious--unique, perfectly sweet, and refreshing. * Not a Mango Season: I'm not a bourbon fan... but this changed my mind. Every sip was magic. * Morning Dew: A thoughtful homage to My Neighbor Totoro-nostalgic, creative, and absolutely loved it. * Thai Iced Tea: Hands down the BEST I've ever had-rich, creamy, and balanced without being overly sweet. Must-try dishes: * Braised Pork Belly: Melts in your mouth. Juicy and bursting with flavor. * Nua Yang Jaew: Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and seared. I'd crave this any day. The ambiance made the whole experience even more special. I'd definitely come back to try more--very excited to try more cocktails and see what the creator dreams up next!

Google
Super cute Thai place in the East Village with very visually appealing dishes. The La Tiang was very intriguing from the photos, and the flavor didn’t disappoint. The soft shell crab curry was delicious, savory, and gave a very generous portion of meat. Our waitress was very kind and attentive towards us despite being the only server. Definitely want to come back and try some of their other dishes!

Google
Overall rating: 4.5 Price: $92 Super cute & cozy spot in East Village. A tad more expensive than I was hoping but I guess that’s life. The restaurant is only.for a date or catchup with friends. It does not seat will for groups of 3 or more. I also strongly dislike the way the couches seat against the table. It is not a comfortable position. Items I ordered: - Toasty Gimlet Cocktail - 6/5 sooo good, I ordered twice! - Braised Pork Belly - 3/5 eh. I know, I know pork belly is naturally fatting. But it’s not all fat. Very hard to eat & very spicy! The broth and veggies were very good though. - Thai Tea Creme Brulee - 4/5 pretty good. Tastes like the description..

Yelp
RYNN is an absolute nugget! Fabulous friendly service, great interior ambiance and delicious food. A must visit Thai gem.

Yelp
I'm right around the corner from this Thai restaurant and have been missing out! The food, service, and decor are all top notch - real authentic Thai dishes and service that isn't too overbearing. My favorites were the crab omelet $22 and the soft shell fried crab in curry $32. The omelet has a hearty portion in the center and is well complemented by the sweet sauce. The soft shell crab comes in a tumeric curry and is so good on top of rice - the flavor is not too spicy and super flavorful. The pork belly $26 is a really good size and comes with rice as well, tender and tasty but not a stand out dish to me. The steak $28 is beautiful and a bit well done, it needs the spicy sauce it comes with to soften it up a bit. The fried calamari $13 is tasty and the other app is a shrimp and minced pork egg wrap egg $15 is good as well, and pretty unique but not as much flavor as one would expect. My friend really enjoyed the cocktails and hopefully we'll be back, I'd come back for the soft shell crab curry alone!

Yelp
The perfect spot to enjoy authentic Thai food and crafted cocktails. Their dishes are the perfect blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors of traditional Thai with a modern twist. MUST-TRY their iconic PU KAREE! It's crispy soft-shell crabs in a flavorful turmeric curry sauce. The plating totally elevated it to an exquisite dish! We love their PANANG PED as well. Juicy duck meat in Panang curry served with crispy Roti. It's a multi-textural delight in a dish! Don't sleep on the dessert. This Thai créme brulée is something I've never had before! If you love Thai tea and Créme Brûlée, then this is a MUST-TRY! Everything we had was incredibly delicious! Presentations look amazing and totally Instagram-worthy! Adding this to my favorite Thai restaurant's list!

Yelp
This Thai restaurant in East Village is such a great find! They have a full bar with some amazing cocktails and mocktails. We tried some of their most popular main dishes and my favorite was definitely the crispy soft-shell crab. We also tried: - La Tiang (shrimp and pork in egg net wrapped) - Calamari (crispy fried calamari with house aioli) - Pu Ka Ree (crispy soft-shell crabs with turmeric crabmeat curry) - Nua Yang Jaew (grilled ribeye steak Northeastern style) - Braised Pork Belly (5 hours slow cooked pork belly in five spices shiitake mushroom and baby bokchoy) - Crabmeat Omelet (Thai style fluffy crabmeat omelet)

Yelp
Great brunch spot! Came here with a couple other friends on a Saturday right around opening time so the place had plenty of tables open when we were there. I ordered the Chu Chee Curry Shrimp Omelet which was fantastic! Would definitely recommend. I normally would try something new, but I would definitely consider ordering the same thing again cause it was that memorably delicious.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Exceptional service will make you feel at home at this inventive Thai restaurant in the middle of the East Village. We went on a Saturday at lunch and the place had plenty of seats. I'd still make a reservation, though, as we went on a holiday weekend. La Tiang: beautiful to the eye and yummy to the tastebuds. Peek gai: it was good, but next time I'd skip it to make space for something more interesting. Tim strawberry: so simple and yet sooo good! Beware... it's spicy! Kra prao ribeye with basil sauce: this is the spicier of the two ribeye dishes and, in my opinion, the better one. The marination is delicious and the meat as tender as you'd expect. Don't miss this dish! Nua yang jaew ribeye: also very good, but it loses a few points due to the sauce which I didn't find to match the flavor of the meat and comes cold, taking something away from the succulence of the ribeye. Mango sticky rice: good, but I've had better ones. Seasonal. Thai tea crème brûlée: decadent and a must-order. Overall, we had a great meal and loved the quiet ambiance. I'd definitely return to try other dishes I didn't get to taste, such as the pork belly and any of the noodle options. Keep in mind that portions are not big and dishes will quickly add up to you tab. Recommended.

Yelp
Stellar! So good that I went back again in the same week! First I met up with a friend on a Tuesday night, they take reservations though we didn't make any. Only a handful of tables occupied in the restaurant at 7pm. The space looks pretty new, a mix of traditional and modern--deep marine blue walls painted with traditional Thai figures offset by the caramel wood tones of the table and seats. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Pad Thai $20 and Pad See Ew $18 to share. So I normally don't order pad thai because it can be mediocre at some Thai restaurants, but boy this one punched the flavor bell and then some! The rice noodles really stood out, bouncy and slightly chewy in a good way (QQ for those who know the term), the shrimp were plentiful and plump, the bean sprouts crisp and fresh, the tamarind sauce was delicious and brought the authentic slight tang of SE Asian cooking. Sooo good that I kept thinking about it all week and had to order it again. The Pad See Ew was solid with slippery noodles, plenty of pork and slightly crunchy Chinese broccoli, a pleasant sweet soy sauce. Less standout than the Pad Thai but still good. Convinced another friend to come on Saturday and reservations are recommended on weekends, the restaurant was packed and we got lucky to snag two seats at the bar. Ordered the Pad Thai (again very good and my friend agreed), La Tiang $15, and the Pu Karee $32 based on other Yelp reviews. The La Tiang were 3 pockets of marinated mince meat and shrimp with greens wrapped in a delicate netting of egg. A tinge of Birds Eye chili added a spicy kick. Fun to eat and loved the balance flavor that wasn't too salty. Augh, WOW, that soft shell crab was something special ~drooling~ now it's been a minute since I last ate soft shell crab and I didn't know what to expect, sometimes the thing with thin-shelled crustaceans is that not all the shell is light and crispy. But that wasn't a problem here! They included TWO full crabs perfectly crispy swimming in an tumeric egg curry pool of deliciousness. Yummmmmmm. Certainly will be back! Thanks for two tasty meals in the past week!

Yelp
Cute quaint women own Thai place. I tried their mocktail which was delicious. I also had the crab fried rice and soft crab dish

Yelp
We were able to make a reservation online for the same week and they had a lot of availabilities. The restaurant is small and the tables were close together in the back where we sat. We ordered the Yum Geaw (Spicy Crispy Chicken wonton toss with spicy dressing), the Braised Pork Belly (5 hours slow cooked pork belly in five spices Shiitake mushroom and baby bokchoy), and Pad See iw (Pork with wide rice noodle in sweet soy sauce). The wontons did not have a lot of filling, but I'm glad that they were able to adjust the spice level for us to make it less spicy. The pork belly was very tender and flavorful. The noodles were good, but nothing special. The portion size was on the smaller end for the price, but everything tasted good. The service was attentive, and everything came out in a timely manner. We did feel a bit rushed towards the end because they tried to take the food away, and then they let us know that the next party was here. There is one spacious bathroom in the back of the restaurant.

Yelp
My friend and I tried Rynn on a random Tuesday afternoon and the restaurant was completely empty. The restaurant was clean very vibrant. They also had a bar that had that flavor inspired drinks, but we opted out of them. The server was nice and attentive and the food was delicious. We both ordered items of the lunch menu and the portions were perfect for lunch. I ordered the Grilled Ribeye which was tender and cooked perfectly. It also paired really well with the savory tangy sauce that came with it. My friend ordered the fried Branzino which she loved. It came with a variety of mix-in's like fried shallots, chili peppers, cucumber, red onions, etc for the bed of rice. She asked for more sauce and the server had it out in seconds. Lunch specials came with a same salad appetizer that was spicy, savory and refreshing. I highly recommend and I definitely will be coming back with more friends.

Yelp
A cute Thai spot tucked away in Astor place. Perfect for a little date with friends or with your boo. What we ordered: Nuer Yang Jaew La-Tiang Kat Jiew Pu Kee Mao Bok Choy
google avatar

Luna C.

Yelp
The curry is spicy but is different from what you usually get in the city. It has a more of spice / herb taste. Every dish I tried is delicious, just that the roasted duck is a bit too dry. Attentive service. Definitely will be returning.

Yelp
Food was okay most Thai spots in Manhattan are pretty average. Small spot, but wasn't very busy seems like it's easy to walk in! Service was great and they had great music playing. Good for a quick dinner

Yelp
My best friend and I saw this place on our instagram and immediately placed it as a spot we wanted to try. We made a reservation for 6:30 on a Thursday and the place wasn't super crowded. The decor is amazing. They have both food and drink menu and the staff was so friendly. We decided to get the pad see ew - delicious, the noodles were super flavorful and the meat was so tender. The crab meat omelette - I would pass on this (not sure if it's because I don't really enjoy breakfast food at dinner but it was just alright nothing special). We also got Nua Yang Jaew which was delicious - very good flavors and also super tender. For dessert we got the banana roti - this was not what we expected and it also came with ice cream. But also very delicious. Overall - recommend checking this place out! Good food and good vibes.

Yelp
Two words, golden prawns- thank me later. The place had excellent range of dishes all with unique flavors. Top dishes to me were the golden prawns and the pork belly. Recommend going with a group and splitting multiple dishes. Seating is challenging but once you have a table, the great food will be worth it! Recommend.

Yelp
Wow, we've been sleeping on Rynn! The space might be small, but there's absolutely nothing diminutive about the flavor of the food, the creativity of their cocktails, nor the effervescence of the staff. From start to finish, we were surprised and delighted by every aspect of our meal here. I'd been under the mistaken impression that Rynn was still waiting on a liquor license up until very recently. I remember coming across their listing on Yelp ages ago, but figured I'd wait until they were able to serve drinks. I clearly missed the memo, because they've been licensed now for nearly a year (if I remember correctly). And, boy, am I glad they are, because their drinks are outstanding. High marks for the Yakult-clarified negroni. I don't quite understand the alchemy behind this chemical reaction, but the product is superb. You still get plenty of herbal and astringent tones, but it's all rounded out into a refreshing, palatable concoction that's dangerously easy to down. Also, tasting negroni on the tongue, but seeing dirty martini with the eyes is a trippy experience, to boot. The eats are no less appealing. Our server talked us into the spicy strawberry salad starter. I was kind of skeptical about it, and it wildly exceeded my expectations. We asked for ours medium spicy (being wary of proper Thai spicy) and it was right at the edge of our tolerance. Definitely brought some beads of sweat to my nose, but wasn't pain-inducing to the point of having to stop. Just be careful of the chopped-up chilies in the dish -- avoid those unless you really want to experience this dish coming in and going out later. We also enjoyed the curry-infused mushroom croquettes, but the star of our meal was hands down the pu karee. Get you some flawlessly fried soft-shelled crab in a rich curry sauce, slop it over some steamed rice, and go to town. What stood out most to me about each dish was how robust, yet distinct the flavors were. They all worked together in symphony, but every single plate offered novel textures, tastes, and aromas. Lastly, don't forget to snag a mango sticky rice to close out your meal. The butterfly pea rice is both beautiful and tasty, and I need a hookup on wherever Rynn's getting their mango, because it was the sweetest, juiciest fruit I can recall eating in recent memory. I'm so glad this is a new fantastic Thai option in the neighborhood (although, I'm also spoiled with the likes of Pranakhon, Soothr, and Thai Villa, so there's already plenty of competition). Rynn easy holds its own and offers a novel, creative twist on the cuisine. And I might even go so far as to suggest that their cocktail program exceeds those of its peers. Regardless of how it fits in the stack rank, Rynn's undeniably a return-worthy resto.

Yelp
I had RYNN on my list since it first opened, especially since it's women owned! And let me tell you, RYNN did not disappoint! When you first walk in, you're greeted by beautiful aesthetics - deep blue turquoise walls adorned with old gold fixings, florals and large murals painted on the restaurant walls. Service is quick - you'll be greeted by the barista and drinks are as beautiful and crisp as the restaurant. Food was 100% on par and my party was surely NOT disappointed! Everything was flavorful with not being too sweet or spicy. RYNN is an absolute must - do not miss out on this hidden gem!

Yelp
(Overall: B) - I was very impressed by the innovative menu that elevates Thai cuisine offered by Rynn, with all of the ones I've tried all hitting the mark in presentation and flavor development. The staff are also quite nice and friendly. My one noticeable complaint though is that it appears the kitchen does not know how to coordinate timing for serving mains, leaving one dish to be served at least 10 minutes before the other. This seems like a resolvable issue though, and I definitely look forward to perhaps returning in the future. (La Tiang: A) - This small delicate omelette is beautifully assembled, elevating what would otherwise be just some ground meat filling. I was also impressed by the flavor development of that sauce as it packs a strong punch. (Pad Thai: A) - A very reasonable priced Pad Thai with a plentiful amount of tender shrimp. The raw bean sprouts adds a pleasant freshness and I love the bold flavors that hit the acidic, sweet, spicy, and salty profiles from the sauce. (Banana Roti: A) - Love this elegant and elevated take on a banana roti, almost turned into a spring roll but with more developed layering. The ice cream was a beautiful pairing that was not too sweet and the crispy mung bean (?) was a subtle yet smart play. -- Food: +1 Presentation: +1 Price: E Atmosphere: E Service: -1 Menu: +2 Overall: +3 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Yelp
Love love RYNN!! Hands down delicious Thai spot. Great for a date night or a chill girls night since it's pretty intimate and drinks were delicious too Here's what we got: Appetizer: -La Tiang (shrimp & pork egg wrap) 4/5: everyone got this so I was so excited to try it but it was a little underwhelming because it was soooo tiny - it's a bite sized wrap but taste is good tho -Larb peek gai tod (crispy chicken wings) 4.5/5: perf crisped wings and the sauce taste like Tom yum which paired really well with the chicken Main: -Pu Ka ree (soft shell crab) 6/5: this was hands down the best thing here!! The curry with rice was chefs kiss and love love the soft shell crab -Ped yang with roti (duck with flatbread) 3/5: we were also rly excited to try this but was disappointed from this dish b/c it was wayyyyy too salty -Kee mao goong pia muk (shrimp & calamari with flat noodle) 5/5: this seafood flat noodle was great! Taste was perf! -Pad see ew moo (pork with flat noodle) 4.5/5: it's good but slightly below rated compared to the kee mao Drinks: -Thai ice tea 6/5: one of the best Thai ice tea I've ever had! They also make their own cream that goes so well with it -Morning glory 4.5/5: its mezcal, aloe and lychee pair. The mezcal def overpowers the others but still taste good -Singha beer 4/5: your standard beer :)

Yelp
I can't believe there would be a restaurant having happy hour and lunch special on weekends in the city! Their lunch special comes with a soup and side salad. Their entrees serves appropriate portion for a person. Their roast duck is tender, which I like a lot. Their cocktails surprisingly tasted delicious even though the amount looks a bit less than the regular cocktails . If you like peanut flavors, just go with Satay, which has a rich smell/taste of peanut butter. Royal Sky is more fruity and sweep side, which is more like a juice-based cocktail. I visited here at Saturday lunchtime, and there weren't many people here, which makes it very cozy to dine here. They still charged us regular prices for cocktails even though we came during happy hour time, but kinda our fault too cuz we didn't double check the bill. Overall, I had a good experience and will come back again! Follow more on my Instagram @whatsuprosienyc

Yelp
Rynn is a gorgeous Thai restaurant that opened not too long ago in the East Village. I loved the Thai paintings on the wall and the teal color scheme. While it is a tiny restaurant, it made for a cozy celebratory lunch with my group of girls. We ordered the La Tiang, which is an appetizer of egg wrapped pockets of shrimp and pork. These were exploding with flavor! For my main dish, I ordered the crab fried rice. I thought it was done well, with its big chunks of crab meat, and chili pepper sauce to add a kick of spice. Portions were fair and food was great. While this isn't my favorite Thai food in the city, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rynn to a friend!

Yelp
I went to this Thai restaurant a good while ago as per most of my recent reviews. At that point, it hadn't been open for that long and they were going through an early cocktail menu. Also, I presume the prices were a little bit cheaper back then but I'll be using the current prices listed on their website. Anyway this is a small Thai spot with nice service. I believe the owner was our waitress if I recall correctly. The drink I had if I recall correctly had I believe a house aged gin (lemongrass very likely) and the only thing I remember about it which is why I think it was gin was that it had a nice herbal/floral flavor and it wasn't too sweet. We only ordered one appetizer which was the unique La Tiang. This consisted of sautéed shrimp and pork wrapped with egg nest and it was $15. It also came with a pickled cucumber sauce you commonly find with curry puffs. This dish had a pleasant texture with some plumpness and there's a little bit of sweetness to the dish even without the sauce. It was very tasty and I would order it again. While it is part of the main dishes, we also got the Kai Jiaw Pu or Crabmeat Omelets for $20 as an early dish. I've never been a huge fan of this dish but this was still pretty solid with the plump crab meat put on top also being a nice touch. It came with the usual sweet chili sauce and it was fine with a particularly good texture but it was a bit pricey for the size. My favorite of the main dishes was the Nua Yang Jaew which is listed as grilled rib eye north eastern style and it is $28. The ribeye is sliced and there was plenty of it with it being very tender. Jaew refers to the sauce on the side and contains among other things roasted rice powder, plenty of chili, and a variety of herbs. Places that offer this sauce do different versions of this and I liked theirs as it wasn't overly sweet and the chili was balanced. This was outstanding. Also ordered with ribeye was the Kra Prao for $30. Kra Prao is a spicy basil sauce and this was also excellent. I'm used to spots toning down the heat for this dish with this place did not and there was a good mix of sweetness and spiciness and of course plenty of holy basil which was cooked down long enough to munch on. The steak again was tender and tasty. Different but tasty was the Khao Soi Gai Tod listed as sautéed curry noodle and crispy chicken for $24. Most spots serve this as a soup but this place instead infuses the curry into the noodles themselves. The curry was well flavored and the noodles were tender. It came with the usual extras i.e. pickled mustard greens, fried noodles, and onions. Probably the weakest of the main dishes but still pretty good was the Ped Yang Roti or roasted duck Panang curry with flatbread. The duck had a good crisp and it was tender. I've had better Panang/Phaenang from other spots but this one was still pretty good with a good mix of sweet and spiciness. The bread/roti on the side was flaky but perhaps a bit oily for my liking. As we liked the food enough, we decided to order the Mango Sticky Rice for $13. The presentation was nicer than expected as they used blue butterfly pea flower to color the rice. There was a bit of coconut milk on top and the mango was pretty juicy. I've again had better versions but it's perfectly fine but they should probably make this dessert seasonal in case the mangoes aren't good enough. The ratings of this place are accurate. I'm surprised they're so few reviews at this point though this is probably because they're between 1st and 2nd instead of 2nd and 3rd. Mid 4 for the very consistent proteins and excellent sauces.

Yelp
I walked in on a Friday night to grab a drink while waiting for a dinner reservation, and was so glad I did! After taking a cursory glance at the menu, I spoke with the bartender who had mentioned a few specials - I ended up getting one of the specials, which was a yummy lychee mezcal cocktail. It was strong and very well-balanced, definitely worth the price tag. The service itself was super friendly too! As I sat and enjoyed my drink, I saw plenty of amazing looking dishes that was making me regret the reservation I had afterwards. Will be sure to return to try some of the food!

Yelp
A small restaurant in east village, Rynn is a good choice if you're craving Thai food! The wings were my favorite, crispy but still moist and had a good kick! The kee mao and pad see ew were flavorful and noodles had a nice chew. We also got the green chicken curry and it was good but didn't stand out. The service was great and the staff was kind as well as attentive.

Yelp
Amazing!!! If you seek to have some delicious, tasty Thai food, this is the spot! I recently was visiting NYC and a friend made reservations at this place. It's a small place so I suggest making reservations as this place was quite popular. We had 6 in our group and were able to be accommodated. First l, we started with cocktails. Which they have some unique ones. They were delicious! We asked for some suggestions for starters and main dishes and the food just started coming out. For our main dishes we did do family style and shared. I'm going to apologise for not remembering the names of the dishes we ordered, but I've attached pictures. First I want to say the food was very tasty, flavourful and fresh tasting! Everything we ordered was amazing! Some dishes were spicy (which I love) the seafood was fresh tasting and vegetables crisp. The ambiance was great, a little loud but expected in small spaces. The place was lively and nicely decorated. The service by the staff was impeccable. Super attentive staff and friendly. They ensured our water glasses were always full, checking in constantly to see if everything was good. Nice people who loved to carry conversation. The price was reasonable for the place and amount of food and drinks . If you're in the area, I sighed r you go here and give it a try!

Before anything, PLEASE get the thai iced tea. It is the BEST thai iced tea I ever had. They have little chocolate shavings on top of the cream and we thought it was the best thing we had here. I got a resy for a Tuesday night dinner at 6pm, but there was no other party joining us until like 7/7:30pm. The staff was super friendly here and I liked the vibe! The portion sizes are bigger than you think and all the dishes were good, but I didn't find anything too special about them. But once again, I would come back for the thai iced tea here. So. GOOD!!

Yelp
this is a cozy spot hidden away in the east village serving authentic thai cuisine. their specialty dishes are not to be missed! the rib-eye was so tender and so yummy paired with their chili sauce. and the soft shell crab?? what we ate: - thai iced tea - mushroom croquette - pu ka-rhee (soft shell crab curry) - pad thai - nuer yang jaew (rib-eye steak) - bok choy - mango sticky rice we were not prepared for those portions. genuinely don't think you could go wrong with any of the dishes here!! my favorite part is that this is a woman owned restaurant! both owners were super sweet and would constantly check-up to make sure everything tasted to our standards.

Yelp
The crab fried rice was simple and average, but the La Tiang appetizer was very yummy! The duck and roti curry dish was super unique and creative, and the curry almost felt like there was Indian kick to it. The roti was super oily, but super flaky. The duck meat pieces were perfectly crispy and soft at the same time. Loved the concept of that dish. The mango sticky rice dessert was average and a little lacking in flavor - could have been better. All the dishes were pretty small in size. The waiters were constantly filling our waters which was nice. The restaurant itself is small, but cute and vibey. There's also only one restroom.

Yelp
The good: Excellent service and beautifully decorated interior. I came with a large group on a Saturday, but my friend made a reservation ahead of time (highly recommend as there's not a lot of seating inside). The food was very good and had a pleasant kick. The steak was well seasoned, loved the spices and basil that was used. The rice was fluffy and super fresh. My bf said his duck curry dish was excellent and the roti was the highlight of the meal - crispy and delicate. My friends also said that their food was great. The not so good: I'm docking one star because the automatic tip that was added was applied to the total (after tax) instead of the subtotal, the toilet wasn't working, and I and some others were still hungry after finishing our entrees. I would recommend ordering appetizers as the portions aren't large. I still highly recommend paying a visit though. 4/5

Yelp
This is a must visit in my book! Everything I tried was amazing and truly unique! I neeed to go again to explore the rest of the menu. The strawberry salad was super spicy and really wakes you up, while the La-Tiang was comforting and meaty. The pork belly was fatty and flavored so well. It paired perfectly with the mushrooms and bok choy. This is such a nice restaurant to go to as a date or a group if you want to try everything on the menu

Yelp
One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to.. Nua Yang Jaew was cooked perfectly and I loved the dipping sauce. Khao Soi had the crispiest chicken and most flavorful curry noodles. They really know how to utilize Thai flavors to their fullest potential!

Yelp
Make sure to get a reservation (you can do directly on yelp). It's a smaller shop but super friendly. There's definitely a good chatter going on and a comfortable environment since people definitely came here to catch up and chat. I want to talk first about the service. They're so kind and we were running late and I called and they were very flexible with us. We also had to get somewhere right after and they were so kind and accommodating! Now, for the food. Everything was terrific - thai tea: they have their own homemade milk cream concoction and it's amazing!!! best thai tea i've had - spicy chicken wings: the spices and flavors were incredibly rich with a tinge of sour notes. it is a bit spicy but so dang good - rib eye with egg: the dipping sauce was great and the meat was so tender! love the fried rice underneath too - massaman tofu: saw a lot of reviews for this and got it! the tofu was silken and loved all the colors of the veggies! the curry sauce was great! 10/10!

Yelp
Stopped on a random weeknight for a casual date night. I LOVED the food. Everything was the perfect spice, not bland or boring. This is my number one favorite Thai restaurant in NYC so far... and I've tried a lot. My favorite was the Yum Gaew aka the Chicken Spicy wontons... these are a must get in my opinion. Pad see ew was not the best I've had but definitely unique compared to other places...really reminded me of Bangkok Street food! I could not recommend this place more!

Yelp
Good food, good service, good ambiance. I do find that it does not stand out amongst all the good Thai restaurants in the city. But it definitely is still very good.

Yelp
Delicious food, cute ambiance, fast service. Highly recommend for any occasion if you're looking for awesome Thai cuisine. Favorite dishes were the super flavorful Calamari and the soft shell crab curry dish.

Yelp
The staff went above and beyond to make it special, and the cleanliness throughout the establishment, including the bathroom, was commendable. However, it's worth noting that the seating arrangements can be a bit tight. In terms of the food, the dishes were generally delightful. The only minor hiccup was that the noodles were slightly on the salty side, but it was still enjoyable. The rest of the dishes left little to complain about - they were quite satisfying. The one exception was the Thai tea, which didn't quite align with my personal taste; I found its flavor to be somewhat unusual. In summary, my dining experience at the Thai restaurant was enjoyable, with excellent service and delectable dishes.

Yelp
RYNN experience was pleasant. They covered most bases to having a good experience. The food was well flavored, space is used really well. The location is very small but they've used it really well. Service was on top of it. Very fast and efficient. She was also very friendly. I did however not find the pork belly enjoyable. It was mushy and flavor was weird. The pad see ew was very good along with the wings. The space is very aesthetically pleasing but not exactly my vibe. Had very quiet music and overall can hear yourself talk. RYNN is in a corner street and I found them through an online influencer. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but it was worth the visit. Pricing was fair for the location and food. 4.2 star experience!

Yelp
Nice cozy Thai Eatery in the city! Didn't take any pics of the food or drinks but everything was good! Yelp
I wasn't sure if some of the reviews were artificial/paid for, but decided to take a gamble after struggling to find any place without a wait on Friday nigh in the East Village. The ambiance here is great, staff is helpful and attentive. The chicken wings seemed a bit undercooked and honestly am pleasantly surprised that I didn't get sick after eating them. I wasn't a fan of the curry fried chicken dish, I would have preferred more curry on the dish and something to dip the fried chicken with than what it was served in. As for the Pad Thai and the shrimp appetizer, I thought these were both above par.

Yelp
Great service and Thai food! I enjoyed the off-menu appetizer which were curry croquettes. The crab legs curry was delicious too in which the legs were like calamari texture. The ped yang curry was a duck curry with roti which i also liked since the duck was crunchy. The tables were close together so i opted to sit at the bar on a Friday night.

Yelp
Small intimate space that is beautifully decorated. Servers are very attentive and helpful, so I assumed the 20% gratuity was included because we were a party of 8. My crab fried rice was flavorful and full of crab, I wish I had more! Friends ordered various dishes and all seemed pleased. Fiancée enjoyed two Thai ice teas and the chocolate shavings are a nice touch. If we split the bill evenly it was about $50 a person but we tried to modify and no one seemed upset paying what they owed for the more expensive dishes and drinks. Nice to have steak for $28! Would recommend this place and come back!

Yelp
Five stars for the service and two for the food. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and this review is not meant to diminish their effort! In a competitive Thai food environment, the prices were eye-opening for dishes that unfortunately lacked flavor. My Tom Yum soup was almost $30 and I was still up charged $4 for a side of rice

Yelp
This is one of the most intensely flavored Thai food I ever had in the city. I would also say it is not classically traditional but definitely a good meal.

Yelp
We made a reservation for a group of 8 on a rainy day and the table and decor was so cute. The food was good. Dish size was average to a smaller than other Thai portions I'm used to. We ordered pad Thai, ra wang gai, kee mao, sautéed basil, ka-prow ribeye, and a ped yang with roti. Beware of the red pepper - it does get spicy!! There is also one bathroom. This place is cozy. Service was good and would definitely recommend this place for smaller lunch/dinner dates with friends.

Yelp
THIS IS A FABULOUS RESTAURANT! Creative dishes based on solid Thai traditions and ingredients! Superb curries (softshell and lump crab with rice noodles), ribeye with incredible sauces, shrimp and calamari noodle dishes, seasoned amazingly! A true cuisine discovery experience! Clever drink creations unique to RYNN! I shared an amazing dining experience with my daughters, and I LOVED IT!

Yelp
Recently stumbled upon this charming Thai eatery in the East Village. The ambiance is delightful, the service is excellent, and needless to say, the food is incredibly delicious! LA TIANG LARB PEEK GAI TOD RAK BUA NUM YA PU NUA YANG IEW MANGO STICKY RICE

Yelp
This place is definitely going to blow up soon. Great flavors in each dish and unique menu compared to other Thai restaurants. Only consideration is that the portions are on the smaller end, had 6 dishes for 4 people, but it was great to try everything. Apparently they're getting a bartender soon and were hyping up their future cocktails. Something to look forward to.

Yelp
This is a relatively new spot that just opened up, so it's still super easy to get a res but I can see this place getting really crowded and popular once more people find out about this spot! This place has easily made itself at home in one of my top 3 thai spots in the city. While the restaurant doesn't seat a ton of people, it's actually very spacey inside and your tables aren't jammed against someone else's. The ambiance is super cute and cozy - I've definitely paid much more for something similar before! Be careful when you order anything on the menu that has a red hot chili pepper sign next to it...they mean it! We ordered the crispy chicken wings with spicy roasted rice dressing (comes with 6 pieces) and it came doused in fish sauce and seemed innocuously unspicy..I had to ask for a refill of water and had to chase with some rice/sauce from the other dishes in between each bite. But the texture of the chicken wing was perfectly crispy and the flavors, albeit spicy, were very good! We also ordered the pad see ew, the duck roti, pad thai and their special (soft shell crab with curry). Everything was delicious and the servings were very generous! I loved that you could eat the soft shell crab whole (no messy de-shelling involved) and the roti was so light and flakey. The pad see ew was perfectly chewy and the paid thai was all around a very solid dish. Everything was relatively affordable - it came out to around ~35 per person, which is really good for the ambiance that you're getting. They also serve you super fast! My only complaint was that the water cups were so tiny, and it felt like we were constantly asking for more...which is dangerous when you're consuming such spicy cuisine.
