S H Donuts

Bought a good ol glaze. Lightest, airy-est donut I've ever eaten. But still doesn't top my favorite place in South Austin: KC donuts. Definitely beat Shipley's and Dunkin though. If I lived close, I'd frequent this place.

Not only is the food here really good but the customer service is amazing. Such friendly people with positive attitudes who genuinely seem happy to be there. These donuts and breakfast sandwiches beat so many other place I have been to. I would definitely recommend!

SH Donuts is literally my number one breakfast/donut spot. Not only is it more affordable than majority of other breakfast spots in austin, but the customer service is amazing which is rare to see nowadays. The food is great and the lady (i’m not sure if she’s the owner or not) has always been so sweet to us and other customers:) definable would recommend to everyone!

Ahhh. Light, fluffy, delicious pastries. Coming here is like an early morning oasis. The service is so friendly and welcoming they need to teach classes on customer service to the rest of Austin. The atmosphere is homey. This is a real shop with real people. When I'm at the end of the line, I'll know this shop will be with me in my darkest of times.

So, I recently moved to Austin and to find a solid basic donut place is hard. If you want those donuts from your childhood where there is nothing crazy just basic solid donuts this is it. It's not a huge place but it's perfect for your donut cravings. The owners are nice and friendly even when it's busy. Definitely a new donut staple for my family.

Very nice family who work there make it a very pleasurable start to the day. Fresh soft and tasty donuts and kolaches. However, the ABSOLUTE must have is their apple fritter. that glaze and the freshness and semi-crispy texter are perfection in the form of a pastry.

I loved that they are a bit crispy and fresh! Plain cake and cream filled were good but vanilla icing yeast donut and chocolate glazed cake donut taste weird, also had smell like old oil

My boyfriend and I were looking for a simple breakfast, and we decided to stop by S-H Donuts. He had been here for donuts before, but this was my first time. The parking lot was packed (S-H shares a lot with a barber shop, a coffee truck, and 2 food trucks), but we luckily snagged a spot just as someone was leaving. There were a few people ordering inside, which gave us time to look over the displays of food and the menu. My boyfriend ended up getting an apple fritter and a cinnamon roll (he said they were fantastic!) and I got a croissant breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese (it was delicious!). The employees taking our order were very nice, and they worked quickly. There is also some booths inside if you want to sit and eat there, although we took everything to go. I look forward to coming back! Hopefully they'll have apple cider donuts in the fall!

This place was great and all of the staff were SO friendly! They were busy on a Sunday morning but people move through quickly. I had the sausage and cheese kolache and it was delicious. The bread was so soft! All of their other products looked great as well. I wish I would have been able to try more items!

My bus goes there every morning to pick up bera claw for him and long John for me. The long John is what I have always called éclairs. They are the best of we have eaten in Texas. The only better we have had were in Santa Ana California at a tiny French bakery where the menu is only written in French and the prices are outrageous but the pastries were worth every cent and we kept going back. It was by Torrey Pines golf club.

This business is right on busy Manor Road and when you pull into the lot, there's less than a dozen spaces to choose from. The donut shop shares the same building as the smoke shop next-door. There's also two food trucks right next-door. Once inside, you'll notice they have four tables to sit at and lots of drink choices to go with your pastry selection. I arrived after the noon hour on a Sunday, and they still had lots of kolache and croissant choices left, but the donuts were pretty much depleted. The folks behind the counter were very pleasant and they will warm up any of your choices. If you pay by credit card, you will see the tip screen or you can drop some cash in the jar next to it. They do open at 6 AM in case you're an early commuter looking for a quick breakfast choice, but keep in mind they do not have a drive up window.

Best neighborhood donut shop ever! I needed to bring treats for after chapel at the State Supported Living Center, and did I get lucky stumbling here! The variety of sweets donuts and fritters was amazing...and another entire case of savory options! The family went out of their way to be welcoming, and they made sure I got enough of the sprinkled iced donuts to satisfy the residents! And a yummy time was had by all! Thank y'all!

This family owned business is a beautiful hidden gem. There is a handsome worker here that is very friendly. The food is also fresh and quickly served. 10/10 would recommend because the worker is so handsome.

This is my go to donut shop! They give you such a warm greeting even on an icy cold day, and they always give service with a smile. You may miss it if you're not looking for it because it doesn't stand out but it's worth the stop. There is plenty of sitting inside to grab a snack and enjoy there.

There's no donut experience like the real one. This place is classic and perfect. They are so friendly and have the best tasting donuts and kolaches. It feels just like it did when I was getting donuts with my dad when I was a kid. Gotta love a tried and true. You can eat here too, and it's a very clean setting. Good coffee to boot. I've actually done large orders for my kiddos school events and you can show up same day and get large amounts. Kids loved. Obviously.

The best donut shop. Their kolache sandwich is my favorite. The owners are lovely - very friendly and remember us (particularly my child).

So lucky that this spot is on my way to work. They have a great pastry selection and decent tacos and kolaches. The staff is very sweet and will often load up extras into my order when it's later in the day. My favorite is the apple fritter.

YUMMMYYYYY. Light fluffy bread and tasty tasty breakfast options. Kolaches were the highlight. A very non-assuming building run by a local family. LOVE! There's something for everyone here. Will be returning and telling more people about this place!

S-H Donuts never misses. Although I haven't been in a while, walking in and being greeted by the S-H Queen is a great way to start the day. The variety is excellent, but my soul always craves the original glaze and the chocolate glaze. I swear I bought them to share with the office, but 3 donuts later, I realized I would have to be selective about who got one. Love S-H Donuts

Excellent donuts and tacos. Store owner is sooooo nice and hospitable. Cinnamon roll was divine! Old fashioned donuts were also very good. Tacos were not anything unique but were fresh.

A cozy mom and pop shop that sells a variety of donuts, kolaches, croissant sandwiches, breakfast tacos, and other breakfast items. The glazed donuts were one of the best I've had, firm but not crunchy on the outside and soft and slightly chewy on the inside, with a light layer of glaze to provide just the right amount of sweetness. The staff were super friendly and would greet all of the customers and ask about their day, many of whom seemed to be regulars. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

There's no better spot for breakfast or a little treat in town than S-H Donuts. The lady running the show is amazing - great service and your classic donut shop ambiance. Treat yourself and go get some donuts!!!!

Donut sleep on SH donuts! It is a one stop shop for all your breakfast cravings: donuts, donut holes, croissant sandwiches, kolaches, and bfast tacos. It is a local family run business in East Austin. It is very affordable and way better than Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme.

This was an sheer coincidence and what I consider a strike of luck. This was my first time here and so I decided to get a few different items to try out. I enjoyed all of the ones I picked but the chocolate eclair is questionably the best I've ever had in my life. It was fresh, warm and crispy from being fried. Astounding is what came to mind. The apple fritter was legit as well. Highly recommend.

My friend brought a big box of donuts & pastries over and everything we had was so yummy! The croissant sandwiches/kolaches were so soft & flakey (better than a Dunkin or Starbucks breakfast), the breakfast tacos were great, and the donuts were also good. A great quick breakfast!

We dropped in here on a whim and were very happy we did so. We tried several items: the chocolate filled, orange cream, apple fritter, sausage japaleno kolache, and the turkey jalapeno croissant. The fritter and the croissant were the standouts but everything was delicious! Will certainly be returning often.

This is the best doughnut shop in Austin! Hands down the softest glazed you'll ever have the most savory kolaches I couldn't even take a picture of my own food because of how good it was forget round rock doughnuts this place is the best ever you won't regret it. Great service all around!

This was by far the best donuts I have ever had. It was so good it had made me dance! I loved the the cute worker named Darian. He was the sweetest boy I have met in a while and just made my morning well.

This is a hidden spot to get some cheap yet yummy donuts. The staff is always sweet and helpful. They have a good selection of donuts to choose from. It's a little out of my way but I'd definitely visit again.

Freshly made, family owned, best donuts in Austin, nicest family, they make you feel welcomed and appreciated. The chocolate eclair was delicious and tasted like the filling was homemade, what a pleasant surprise to realize that the filling did not taste like it came out of a bucket like all the other donut shops ... what a gem ! We have visited Austin a few times and wanted to try this shop. The kolachi we has were some of the best we have ever had. We enjoyed the sausage and cheese and the sausage egg and cheese. The owner warmed them up for us and the were very flavorful. We also picked up a custard filled donut very delicious. Will definitely return

Wanted to try these donuts from reading all the reviews. They were delicious and fresh! Especially the simple glazed donuts! The staff here is extremely friendly and these prices are very affordable. Try and bring cash if you can. I didn't have any on me, but I understand businesses are now being charged a lot for credit card charges. I will bring next time.

Friendly, fast service. I got some kolaches and donuts- the kolaches were very good and satisfying. Donuts weren't thaaat great- but were enjoyable and tasted fresh. Good tasty simple breakfast!

Good north donut spot if you ever find yourself in the area, but I'm partial to KC donuts in southwest Austin, and a warm original glazed from Krispy Kreme. The donuts at S-H were fresh, and still hit the spot. I ordered a dozen to take to my coworkers on a Saturday - half chocolate and half original glazed. They offer an orange glazed donut that I had to try, which was decent. I was expecting the tang of a Pillsbury orange cinnamon roll, and it didn't quite hit it on the head for me - still good overall.

the owner was super sweet and very talkative! this is my first time here and she gave me a free extra donut!! i got the jumbo jalapeño and cheese pig and it was delicious, definitely will be coming back!

When I first pulled up to this place in my neighborhood, I had just one recurring thought, "please be good, oh PLEASE be good!!" They did not disappoint then, and haven't in the years since! Literally a mom and pop business, it is run by the friendliest group of people. It is small, with only few tables, but no matter. I don't really want an audience when I gorge myself on the treats I pick up! Oh yes, oh yes, the donuts!! Always made fresh, from the chocolate glazed to jelly-filled, long John's to fritters, these scrumptious babies always hit the spot! Need something more substantial? They've got you covered with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and kolaches!

Hours of Service arent Updates everywhere. Actual hours as posted on front door are Tues-Sun 6 am - 1 pm. A Little sad they weren't open when I got there, but I also understand having a closed day. Looking forward to coming back when they're actually open

Lived a block from this place when it opened and since then they been consistent with their donuts! Really delicious! Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome. If you happen to be around the area in the am definitely stop by! Love the family and they always remember me when i stop by
