Ernest Tubb Record Shop - Review - Downtown - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The rebirth of Broadway’s Ernest Tubb Record Shop looks a bit different from its original iteration, but you can still score some vinyl to take home on the second floor. The first floor, though, is where the honky-tonk action is at, with Ernest Tubb’s original cowboy boots on display and a bar slinging Narragansetts and easy-sipping cocktails. The grill is also up and ready with cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chili cheese fries, and fried green beans." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Country Star Garth Brooks to Open ‘Classic Honky-Tonk’ on Lower Broadway | Eater Nashville

"A Nashville country music institution for more than 70 years, the Ernest Tubb Record Shop's downtown location sits next door to 411 Broadway and is reportedly soon to close; it was purchased two years ago by Robert’s Western World owner Jesse Lee Jones, who has now decided to sell the building." - Clair Lorell

"The Ernest Tubb Record Shop, with its vast array of bluegrass and classic country music, also hosts a live WSM-AM radio show each Saturday night after the Grand Ole Opry. It airs from the Texas Troubadour Theatre in Music Valley and was established in 1947. "

Great, newly reopened spot for live traditional country music, bar eats, drinks, and even vinyl records. Lots of historical photos to check out and a very pleasant rooftop bar. Pro tip - there's an elevator all the way in the back. Grab a drink at the bar then walk all the way to the back and catch a quick ride up to whatever floor you're headed to.

I was looking for less rock and more iconic Nashville. In 3 days I visited here about 5 times and the music never disappointed. Bartenders were great. The vibe was exciting without the manic Vegas feel. Even stopped in a couple of times before noon and the singers were great. Cant wait for my next time.

Late night magic at Ernest Tubb Record Shop with Mix Hawk 🎶 He played a killer set of favorites and kept the real Nashville sound alive. There’s nothing like hearing these songs sung by a voice this good in a room with this much history. A perfect, intimate Monday night. 🤠🎸

Cool place to visit if you’re down on Broadway. This is basically a honky tonk bar with a small record shop nestled on the second floor. All of the used records were $5. None of them were pristine, so I thought that was fair. I took home several that had some cover wear but were in very playable condition. There’s not a huge selection but it’s worth a look.

First time here and this place rules! Good ol country music like it was meant to be.

Best honky tonk bar on Broadway - hands down! Bringing Broadway back its roots.

A slight disappointment if you were a fan of the old shop. Its not a shop anymore, just a bar. Im sure the bar is fine though if you like that, just don't go expecting what it used to be.
