Delicious ribs and brisket. The BBQ sauces are the bomb. We loved the ribs sooo much that we bought them back to our home in the west coast. Oh the service is fantastic. All the staff is friendly. 10 10 10

My husband and I both got the 3 meat special, my husband got atomic coleslaw (IF YOU LOVE HEAT ONLY!) and bbq beans, I got the Mac and cheese , okra both sides were very good, juicy meat, and big portions, our starter was the firecrackers which is battered jalapeño slices, could use a little more salt or just something but again was good, service was great and everyone was friendly, we will be back..

Megan was a wonderful hostess/server. I sincerely thank you for guiding our party to a great meal decision and your hospitality which made it an exceptional experience!! The moment we walked in the aroma of smoked gifts offered an abundance of assurance we were in the right place! The meat was tender, flavorful, and complimented by excellent sides. I recommend taking the offer for pickled jalapenos because that allows you to make the most fantastic bomber you'll ever eat! I stuffed mine with pulled pork, some chopped brisket, a sliver of sausage and topped it all with a dot of cool creamy potato salad. The atomic slaw in our order was very appreciated. I love okra; which means an additional order was made for it. All portion sizes are great, hearty, and a fine experience. Thank you to everyone for a great meal and again sincere thanks to Megan for leading the way.

This place is great! Rustic looking with delicious food! A blue collar workers dream! It has all the hits. Brisket pulled pork chicken breast and bologna make up the bulk of the menu. I want to try the BBQ eggrolls! We got the family pack that's supposed to serve three to four people but the two of us scarfed it down The bathrooms are a little run down and the seats are kind of uncomfortable. Other than that we will be back for sure.

Food is great. Service is excellent! Enjoyed the pulled pork, mac n cheese and potato salad. All were exceptional. "Head Country" is the traditional sauce.

My wife and I stopped at smokies for the first time today. The restaurant looked and smelled great. The ladies was nice taking my orders. Slab of ribs, pound of Bologna and sides baked beans, potato salad, and fried okra. They sacked it up fast and said 71 dollars. I normally look at my food but I didn't this time. I thought the price was pretty high. So I paid and went home and got ready to eat. Boy was I dissatisfied. Over cooked dry ribs. Bologna was cut up into little strips and over cooked and dry. Like the meat been sitting in a warmer too long. The potato salad is missing sugar or something because it tasted different. I couldn't believe we paid over 70 dollars for barbeque that was dry and overcooked. The best part of our dinner was the barbeque sauce. If I didn't live 8 miles from there and tired from running around all day I would have asked for my money back. Not saying everyone have experienced this, but I have.

Great little BBQ joint. Neat look to the building, smelled AWESOME inside. Has a tiny eating area, maybe 12 tables? But plenty of room for this big guy. Service was fast, greeted us in the door and took our order quick. Super nice and friendly! The food was great! Beans were recommended as the side, and it was good choice. The onion rights were the thick kind, but they were great. I got the ribs...because you have to try ribs at a new bbq joint. They were solid. Super tender, looked great. Meaty, smoky, delicious. Over all, I will return!

Service and atmosphere was great, but I expected much more with the food since we were told lots of good things about the place. Ribs were a little salty (dryness is for people to choose their barbecue sauce of choice, which they have 4-5 for you to choose from), and pulled pork was too dry. Brisket was good!! No sauce needed for that!!! Hot links were good as well. Potato salad was yum, and coleslaw was different in a good way like it was pickled or something.

We were on a road trip to drop my son off at his dorm room near St. Louis from California. We decided to stop in the Tulsa area and rest a bit. The very nice lady at our hotel recommended Smokies, and it didn't disappoint. I always feel like being from California, people from other states would treat us differently. Not here. The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding and the portions were much more than we could eat in one sitting. This is a down home, locals place which is EXACTLY what we were looking for. We will definitely be going back to smokes next time we find ourselves in that neck of the woods!

The ribs were fine with a mild smoky flavor, sides were decent, overall a simple average meal. Service was polite and quick, nothing stood out but nothing was wrong.

The ribs were fine tender enough with a smoky sauce but nothing really stood out the mashed potatoes and salad were simple sides that balanced the meal but felt basic overall it was filling and decent but not something I'd rush back for

The last several years this place has really gone down. Their brisket is dry, bologna is burnt (how do you ruin bologna?), and to top it off they have shaved meat, like from a deli. I think they were busy because of its location and the convenience but since Hooligan bros moved in next door, it's very clear who has better food and all they do is fry everything. ‍ Time for a face lift on food and ambiance.

We're from Naples, Florida visiting friends for a few days in Broken Arrow. They live nearby and asked if we'd like BBQ Chicken etc. We love it. The four of us walked onto the patio outside of SMOKIES as it was warmer. Inside was too cool for our bones. then was greeted by our server, MELISSA H. and she was the sweetest! She was helpful with the menu choices as it was our first time here. (Thank you again MELISSA, for your patience with us and you were the best) We ordered: THREE BAD BACK RIB DINNER One Half rack and Two Full racks of Smokies St. Louis cut spare ribs with two sides and Texas toast. My sides were the BBQ Baked Beans and Cole Slaw with my half rack at $19.99. They were great, falling off the bone, flavorful. Cooked perfectly. The four containers of sauces in the table were great additions to the entrees. Liked them all, especially the spicy one. Got a "complimentary sample" of the Atomic Cole Slaw. That was enough for me. Had never heard of it but had to try. Very spicy but DELICIOUS. Finished it with the meal. We also ordered the ONE LOADED SPUD. Wait till you see this. Took home the other half. It was loaded ok. It was a slow smoked potato covered with the one selected meat choice, had the pulled pork with melted butter, then piled high with peppered bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and sour cream. (we had the jalapeño's on the side) Was very good. They were out of the sour cream but that was ok. Had the complimentary pickles, onions, banana peppers and jalapeño peppers on a dish. Had some and again, very good! Next visit here we will definitely be back for another Full order of those ribs. A memorable meal with the sweetest server. Can't beat that!

Everything was fantastic--from the amazing aromas as I walked up to the restaurant, to the delicious food, incredible sauces (I had to try them all and still couldn't pick a favorite), and top-notch service. A truly outstanding experience from start to finish! Definitely will be back...when I can!

A small unassuming cabin on the outskirts or BA, Smokies packs a punch in the world of BBQ. This hidden gem specializes in low and slow, imbuing all of their meats with a moist Smokey flavor that almost makes adding sauce sacrilege...although theirs is pretty good. We had a healthy sampling of their meats with one of the family platters, trying their pulled pork, chopped brisket, sausage and chicken for a whopping three pounds of meat. Add to it the platter came with an entire plate of Texas toast/buns and 4 sides...let's just say no one left hungry. Of the sides, nothing disappointed. The beans were in a thick bbq sauce full of chunks or pork, the Mac and cheese was fresh made (and a special so good they rub out early) and the sidewinders are next level for fries. The service was equally as amazing as the food. Friendly, attentive and efficient, it's all you could ask for. On a beautiful day their back patio is a lovely place to sit...unlike so many places in town, you don't feel like you're in the middle of a parking lot. The space is even complete with a little space for live music.

Tonight was my first time going to Smokies and I was VERY impressed! I'm a smoked bologna fan and too many BBQ joints I've tried have failed on their smoked bologna, NOT SMOKIES! It was the best I had in a long time. Try a slab! Only $4 for the best smoked bologna in a long time. Staff was great! Portions were large! Enjoyed the sauces, highly recommend!

An authentic smokehouse! A rustic stone cabin set apart from the busier area. Terrific service, good portions, classic plate including white bread slices. I had chopped brisket. Mixed slaw and fries. Slaw was wet and sweet. Brisket was oily but not fatty. I love me some fatty brisket and this was not it. There was no flavor to the meat other than smoke/char. And the sauces are sweet ketchup type with no vinegar/wet type. Maybe that's regional. Love the place! Not so much the food. I will go back and try another meat..

Found this little gem close to the golf course. Husband had the special bbq sandwich with onion rings. I had the hot ham and cheese with fries. We were impressed with the food and the service. I suggest you go here. The pickles are to die for.

2-ish on a Saturday afternoon, only one other booth was taken. Ambiance - We were seated at a booth with an empty beer bottle on the table. The table and menus were sticky and left our hands sticky as well. They server came and took our order, brought our drinks, then food, then never returned. We had to go to counter for drink refills and a take home container. We've been here before and the food was stellar; not so much this time, kind a meh. One of the items brought to the table was not incorrect. Other barbecue places have better food without the stickiness from tables or menus. Next time we'll do take out and hope the food is better.

We just moved from OKC to Broken Arrow and we were looking for a good BBQ place - we've found it! This place has great food and service. Brisket and ribs were great!!

Great family owned BBQ joint doing it right. The brisket was perfect with a huge smoke ring and perfectly seasoned bark. Both servers were fast, friendly and super attentive. We came in looking for a snack and left stuffed. Great prices compared to chains with high quality bbq and great side dishes. The Resturant itself is old school with a divey atmosphere.

Amazing little road side find we found a few years back. Now it's a yearly stop when we come out.

Small place nothing fancy but very good @ what they do. I reminds of a plc I grew up w/in my hometown. We got a combo plate. Great pickles, baked beans, pulled pork, ribs & sliced brisket. Definitely coming back

So I only ordered the ribs and some sliced brisket so that's all I'm basing the review on for what it's worth. The ribs had a nice smoke flavor but weren't really tender or well rendered. That said, they weren't bad and I could see some people enjoying them. But I had my reservations about the brisket as soon as I saw how thin it was sliced. This is typically done to make up for meat that isn't tender enough. It was dry and the only way I think I'd enjoy it is with sauce as a sandwich. It was closer to something you might get from Arby's than a top BBQ place. Service was friendly and the restaurant was in line with other BBQ joints I enjoy but the food just was disappointing. Food is subjective though and based on the reviews that initially made me want to try it, plenty of people like it so it's worth trying at least once to see how you feel about it.

This place is great. Excellent brisket and the May Special (Nachos) are the bomb. The chicken is phenomenal also. We hit this place up about every week. Yes, that's how good it is.

This is a hometown mom and Pop barbecue joint located in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. A coworker that lives nearby recommended this place so I was all about it. As we pulled up, I got the mom & pop divvy barbecue joint vibe which is what I was hoping for. They greet you as you walk in and allow you to sit at any open table. They come right over with menus and ask if you want anything to drink which I love. They have a pretty good menu with many options including several BBQ meat options. They had the typical sides for a barbecue joint such as potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, okra, etc. I ordered the chicken barbecue sandwich with potato salad and a side of coleslaw. Although the chicken sandwich was very good I think I would order the BBQ brisket next time. The potato salad was very good and the coleslaw was decent. I also ordered a sweet tea which was good. There was plenty of parking around the restaurant. There is a decent amount of seating inside as well as outdoors in the back on the patio. The food came out really fast which is nice when you have a limited amount of time at lunch during the work week. I'd go here again next time I'm in the area to try the barbecue brisket and I recommend you give them a try if you're ever in the area.

I have been going to Smokies BBQ for a long time, around 10 years or so now. Although I don't visit them too often, their quality of food is always "GREAT". As you know, maintaining a good consistency in food quality is one of the hardest things to achieve in any restaurant and they somehow got it right like clockwork. One of the first things, you notice is that they don't call themselves smokies if you can't smell their hickory smoke in the parking lot. It makes your mouth watery instantly. Their dine-in area isn't big, very crowded at times. They do have an outdoor patio for overflowing crowds now. But it's not shaded and can get pretty hot on summer days. Let's talk about the BBQ. Everything is darn tasty but we are always drawn to the Smokies Fat Boy Platter because it has a nice variety of food. It has brisket, pork, hotlinks, sausage, ribs, chicken bologna, ham, and a few sides such as potato salad, slaw, and Texas toast. I think their ham, bologna, chicken, and hotlinks are particularly special because I don't think anyone in town can top that so far. The ribs are solid (not the completely fall-off-the-bone type and are flavorful). However, the brisket is a bit dry for me. By the way, their sides are all very good, my favorites are the Atomic slaw & BBQ beans.

The food here is solid! Meat is nice and tender and has a good flavor to it, they have good BBQ Sauce options, the sidewinders are absolutely amazing. One individual at my tables onion rings got a little over cooked however the server did offer to replace them to fix the mistake which is good service! Our server did an absolutely wonderful job at taking care of our party of 15, to include all the other guests that came in while we were present that caused them to have a full house. The environment of the restaurant is nice, however the place was pretty cold as well as the place is small so as a result it can be crowded as well as noisy very fast. This is can be specific to me, but it is a downfall in my opinion so if a compact restaurant isn't a problem then the place overall is great!

Date of Check in 4/19/23 Smokies has the best brisket and slaw I have had in the Tulsa area. The fried okra, beans, and fries are all decent, but the slaw is my favorite. It has an ominous name, "Atomic Slaw." Don't be frightened. It is a delicious slaw recipe that is pleasantly spiked with hot peppers. It is the absolutely perfect layer of flavor to pile on top of a large stacked pile of brisket then cover with the top bun to make a mouthwatering sandwich. The tender brisket and the slaw complement each other. An impeccable BBQ sandwich. This is what to eat at Smokies. Even though I know what is the best, I like to test the menu. Today ribs; Atomic Slaw mandatory, add fried okra. The basket was full with four lean meaty ribs, enough fried okra for both me and my wife and a cup of slaw. The server delivered a small plate of essential BBQ condiments (peppers, pickles and onions) to accompany the meal. The ribs were meaty, tender and lean. For my taste, a little too much garlic in the rub, but good with a little sauce to tone down the garlic. Smokies has the Oklahoma standard BBQ sauce "Head Country" and "Ranger Creek." I hate both. Too sweet. There were a couple of other sauces offered that I had not heard of, Ja-Ru and Sa-Mokin. The waiter said that they were made locally. I tried them both. Not bad. Eat Brisket and Atomic Slaw at Smokies!

Enjoyed some smokies BBQ with some friends. I have been here several times in the past with all good experiences. Smokies is a local small BBQ joint located in Broken Arrow that brings the feel of a small town restaurant to a big town. I ended up with the triple combo that consisted of the ribs, sliced brisket, and spicy sausage. My combo came with two sides which I picked the coleslaw and fried okra. The meal also came with buttered toast. The overall meal was good but not great in my opinion. The sliced brisket was sliced very thin and I was unable to get that bark on the sides that I was hoping for. The spicy sausage was good and the ribs had a good smoked flavor, but were a little dry. The coleslaw was good and the fried okra was par. This place offers a variety of BBQ sauces which I think was a nice touch for the tastebuds, but I was hoping for that smoke flavor that didn't need sauce to complete it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great experience and would go back. Atmosphere:6/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 Food: 6.5/10

I walked in to place an order for the following day. When asked what I would like, I explained that I was ordering for a family event and wasn't sure what the best option was. One of the nice young ladies sat me down and explained their options to me, which really made the process easy. Evert staff member I encountered was friendly and professional. When I arrived the following day to pick up my order, they were busily building my order, on time. They even offered to help me take it to my car. All of the food was packed very well, and tasted amazing. The family was not disappointed. Well done, Smokies! We will be back!

Food was good. Restaurant floor and tables were dirty Service was adequate but by no means outstanding. The staff acts as though they would rather be anywhere but there working. Loved the "sidewinders".

We tried Smokies for some July 5th barbecue and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is genuine country barbecue. The ribs were tender if cooked a little less than I prefer. The beans were just spicy enough with a hint of tomato undertone. The brisket was mild but tender. The pulled pork was tender and delicious. The sausage was firm if a little greasy on the outside. The potato salad was smoke house standard with an accent on the mustard. Smokies offers a variety of sauce accompany your Que. I discovered a new favored sauce in Ranger Creek but the Head country and Head Country hot was on offer. A 4th sauce on offer is called Sa-Mokin. I sampled three of the 4 ( I do not do spicy bbq sauce) all 3 I tried were good with Ranger creek being the sweetest and my favorite of the three and Sa-Smokin being a good alternative and Head Country being Head country. I recommend Smokies for a genuine Bbq experience.

Smokie's is one of my favorite places ever! We don't do bbq often, but when we do we eat at Smokie's! We went for my mom's birthday and enjoyed every minute of it. When you pull up you will see the little bbq shacks and smell the smoked and you know you are about to be in hog heaven. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Tonight we sat out back on the patio and it was perfect! Our waitress was amazing. She was friendly, funny and provided great services. We started the meal with fried pickles and firecrackers (fried jalapeños) which were crispy and fresh. I got the Smokies Sandwich Plate with the Smoke Stack, sidewinders (a MUST), and the best fried okra ever. Portions are large and I barely ate half. My son got a side of sidewinders and ate the entire plate. I will say if you are going for your first time and there are two (or more) you need to get the Fat Boy Platter! It has 8 meats, 3 sides and toast. Meats include ribs, bologna, shaved chicken, pulled pork, brisket and more! This is our normal go to but tonight I tried something different.

Good size portions of sliced brisket, a little dry, The sides are nothing to jump up about. A so-so recommendation.

We were looking for some great brisket and unfortunately this place fell short of that. The service was friendly, the food was tasty but the amount of oiliness was truly off putting for us. I am sure there are loads of people who can eat like that but we aren't those people. Also, we ordered sliced brisket and were so surprised when it came to the table sliced like deli meat. There was also a lot of fat in with the pulled pork. That said, the okra was delicious, but even that needed to be removed from the container it was served in because it was sitting in a lake of oil. There are so many BBQ places to choose from, so please do better. For now we will stick with Leon's BBQ in Tulsa. THAT is amazing BBQ.

My boyfriend loves this place! I'm vegetarian, so it's not my typical place. The fried okra is pretty good. The potato salad okay, high priced for the little scoop. Southwest salad was good! They have a few different sauces to use at the tables. My boyfriend loved the smokestack sandwich.

This is NOT good BBQ! Friends took me to Smokies while I was visiting Tulsa this weekend., We shared a Fat Boy Platter andFire Crackers (fried jalapeño's) as an appetizer. The restaurant was filled with, but we were seated promptly. Our waitress Ray tried to be cleverly playful. However, just came across as insulting and obnoxious. Although, she did get our drink order quickly, kept us sufficiently hydrated and took our order quickly. We quickly got our Fatboy Platter and had to remind Ray about our Fire Cracker order, which she admittedly forgot to turn into the kitchen and said that they would be in the house. The Fatboy platter was a generous serving of BbQ. However, one could immediately realize that the food had been out of the smoker for some time. The Texas bread, was not toasted. Just soggy white bread. The potato salad was warm. The pulled pork was a ball of greased pork fat. Its appearance would lead one to believe it had been pulled from its container by the hand full, or weighed out into a bowl and just slapped onto the tray in one fatty glop. There were two kinds of sausages that were over smoked to crinkled point of dehydration. Sliced, the cross section of the sausages would further support their over cooking or suggest they had been sliced for some time. Being from Texas we had ask how the brisket was served or if we could get it thick cut. The waitress told us the brisket had already been "sliced" before it was ordered. To which it had been. It had been sliced paper thin, sometime before our arrival, allowing every bit of moisture to escape it. Served it was cold, dry and flavorless. The smoked ham was dry and flavorless. The smoked poultry was not off the bird, but more like lunch meat or roll. It too was dry. The smoked bologna, which should have been shaved (imo) was cut thick, with very little flavor other than warm bologna. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. Did have a nice flavor, but also cut some time before our arrival, dry and overcooked. Smokies also has no signature sauce and offer Over the counter Head Country. Which is what I use at home, but would hope for more going out. We were compt our tardy Fire Crackers, which were good and possibly the only thing freshly prepared on our order. However, Smokies was a major disappointment, and a poor reflection of the BBQ in the Tulsa area. 4 of us, hungry men, shared the platter and over 1/3 was uneaten. Yuk!

So we are traveling from out of state to Tulsa. We looked for places to eat locally as we headed to Tulsa. This place came up. We ordered the Smokies Fat Boy platter to split between us. It was Fabulous! Katlyn and Heidi were most helpful, very friendly, good suggestions for food. Clean restroom.

Before walking through the door of this perfectly decorated BBQ shack, I was awakened to one of the most incredible hickory aromas I have ever experienced. To say the smell was delightful is a gross understatement... it is the best smelling barbecue joint I have entered. Those reading this are probably wondering if the food matched the smell, and my answer is sort of. I ordered the ribs and sliced beef, and the ribs were exceptional, maybe the second best in Tulsa. Those prefer tender ribs, might even rate them as the best, but I prefer a little tougher, naw on the bone, spicy chew, like BurnCo - my #1 for ribs. The sliced beef is a different story. It is very thinly sliced and more reminiscent of roast beef than sliced brisket. I didn't love it, but If this place had brisket that matched the deep hickory smoked deliciousness of the ribs, it would really be an incredible barbecue experience. I will return for the bbq shack atmosphere, incredible smoke fragrance, and the ribs.

this is truly our number one favorite barbecue restaurant seriously you get the most for your money. The smell is amazing in the room and it's real barbecue. Super nice people very clean. I've tried a lot of barbecue restaurants but it's the best.

Waitress very rude when suggested they put a sign on the door to let patrons know that they are out of ribs we stood in line for 20 minutes. We came here for ribs. Most people come here for ribs and they are out of ribs. They wait till you get seated and order a drink before they tell you that they are out of ribs. They should notice this on the door that they are out of ribs. She stated they never know when they're out of ribs. Well, she knows they're out of ribs now and there's no sign on the door stating that they are out of ribs.

Quite a busy place! The smoker gave a great aroma whilst walking in from the parking lot, and most every table was full when we got inside. Good crowd for a Thursday. Didn't want a huge amount of food, so hubby and I chose to share the Triple Combo, and got hot links for him, sliced brisket for me, and chicken that we both enjoy. For sides, we got potato salad and onion rings. The stars of the Plate were the potato salad, the hot BBQ sauce, and the chicken, when soaked in the juices in the cup. The sliced brisket was unfortunately dry, probably because it was sliced wayyyy too thin. It had a good taste, but...almost took on a Jerky quality the way it was sliced. The hot BBQ sauce sort of rescued it. I tasted a small piece of the hot links, which was pre-sliced as well, and it was spicy. The best meat on the plate was chicken, also sliced super thin, but, it was served in a cup, with some juice in the bottom. Yum! The potato salad was fantastic, and must be ordered with every plate, by every customer! Overall, I think I'd go with a sandwich if I ever ordered the brisket again, and ask for slaw on top and definitely add the Hot BBQ sauce!

All I can say is WOW!! From the second you walk in you know you're at an outstanding BBQ joint!! The smell alone was enough to make me want more. Then our killer server Sara, said it was all good. I asked about the brisket, she said it was amazing and she was correct not only was she a greater server, but she has excellent taste as well! This place was outstanding!!! If you're with in 30-50 miles of this place, go!!

The food was just OK. You can find better BBQ in Tulsa. Most of what we ate was too salty.

Sat outside for lunch on 5/9/24. Nice patio. Mary was our server and she was great! The chicken club sandwich was good and so was the onion rings and unsweetened tea! We had our dog with us and they welcomed the dog on the patio!

Great ambiance and great food. Service was really good as well. Nice little place to go eat for a change.

My husband and I went there for the first time tonight. Ashlynn, our server was great. She suggested the Fat Boy platter. It had some of all the meats, beans, potato salad, coleslaw , and Texas toast. It was delicious. We had plenty leftover for another meal. Good food and good service. We will definitely go back!

Best BBQ in the entire area. If you're looking for fresh smoked, tender, July BBQ with just the right blend of smokiness and flavor, do yourself a huge favor and take the short drive out to East Broken Arrow and treat yourself. You won't regret it!
