MOZZ Sourdough Pizza

We were excited to try this place. I’ve had brick oven pizza all over Europe and know what to look for as far as char on and under the crust. This place disappointed big time. The first photo is the $8 garlic bread. Not only was it burnt but looks to have soot on the top. I can’t believe they served this to me. I should have opened the box before I left the restaurant. The garlic all pooled into the crevices. I wanted to toss it, but didn’t want to waste food. Then the meat pizza was on ozempic as my daughter commented. I should have taken a photo. For a 12 inch pizza, there were like five slices of pepperoni and a sprinkle of sausage. The bottom of the crust did not have the nice char but a dark soot like layer as well. The second pizza, a chicken one, had a little bit more toppings, but the bottom crust had the same issue. The toppings tasted fresh and delicious, but that was it. We have a small wood-burning pizza oven at home that goes up to 900°. I make two extra crusts because I know the first two will be covered in a layer of soot as it is being cooked, so those are tossed. I wonder if my order suffered the same fate since we were the first customer at opening hour. All in all I paid $45 for three items that had burnt crusts and minimal toppings.

The standard unit of measurement for an Italian style pizza is the Margherita. Mozz does a fantastic job! No complications, nothing fancy that would distract from the simplicity of a great pizza. Just plain a plain old fashioned Italian pizza. Absolute home run.

Delicious food, pretty atmosphere and chill vibes! We got the Meat Pizza, it was filling and tasty. The Speck was so yummy too w/arugula. Cheese bread and the Caesar salad were delicious! Will def be back soon!

I ate the chicken sourdough pizza. Awesome flavors, added more red pepper, and with little hints of honey drizzled wasamazing.

I came to Provo for a work convention on a Sunday and found this restaurant in a quick search with great reviews. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a hello from Abby who gave me stellar recommendations as it was so hard to choose just one pizza! And don’t get me started on the side of ranch which delighted this Midwesterner (and made me feel like I was at home). I left with a very satisfied appetite, a thank you for coming in from Abby, and a delicious cookie that I’ll devour later. Thanks for being such a memorable start to my work trip and if I’m ever back, this will definitely be my first stop again!

Was so excited to come back after a while. They were very busy but it took 30 minutes to get our pizza. The pizzas were decent but both pizzas were pretty dang burnt on the bottom. We were bummed because it hurts to pay a premium and have them be burned pretty bad :/

I have been here twice and the pizza has been amazing each time! I have been to Italy many times and this pizza is the most authentic I have tasted in Provo! The cheese bread is also delicious! It's a must try for sure!

Artisan pizza craving satisfied!!! Saw the good reviews on Yelp and stopped by for dinner and was not disappointed. Beautiful interior with fancy lights and hardwood floors. Bathroom was even super cute! Ordered a margarita pizza and a mushroom and sausage pizza. Both were delicious! Wife ordered a half mixed salad and really enjoyed it. This location is on a busy street with no parking and the EDGES of the pizza crust were TOO THICK. That was my only complaint. Great spot for quality pizza!

All I had was the cheese bread but it was amazing. Pieces of whole roasted garlic, deliciously salty and balanced cheese, and the dough was perfection- chewy and soft, just enough char. My only criticism is they were stingy on the sauce cup- it was so good but about 1/5 of the cup full. It was very clean in there, vibes were perfect, and my food came out quick. The cashier was super friendly, the drink selection and deserts looked awesome. I'll definitely be back when I can afford a whole pie. Thank you guys for doing it the sourdough way.

MOZZ Artisan Pizza in Provo offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with distinctive decor. Their pizza crust is quite chewy, which isn't my preference, but the toppings were flavorful. I found the Tractor Sodas to have unusual tastes, and after sampling several flavors, I didn't find one I enjoyed. The real highlight for me was their sea salt chocolate chip cookies - which were tasty! Service was friendly, and the wait for our pizzas was reasonable.

The cutest and best pizza in Utah County! They are all about local ingredients and whole food when possible. We popped into the restaurant at an odd hour and it was completely empty, service was polite and fast. The chicken pizza on the sourdough crust was phenomenal! Toppings ratio could use some work because a couple slices didn't have as much veggies and chicken but minor critique. Worth checking out!

This place looks like a fancy old time spot, rustic hardwood floors the seating looked amazing and was comfortable. We visited on Sunday around 5pm completely dead which is sad for a local spot. THE PIZZA WAS GREAT! Great crust, wood fire flavors, great combination option with some great ingredient pairings. The cheese bread was fantastic herby, and soft! Service was great with one person working very accommodating and nice, he had some great recommendations. The tractor soda was okay I'm not a fan but they don't make that so that's not on them haha, I believe is a "better for you" type of soda.

Thursday. June 5, 2025. Dinner. I was in Provo, Utah, for a work conference. Decided on MOZZ since I viewed a lot of favorable Yelp reviews for them. Ordered the bacon pizza online, which came with bacon, tomato sauce, calabrese salame, mozzarella, and pepperoncini for $17. I added mushrooms and Italian sausage to this ($3.50 upcharge). I walked to their establishment since my hotel was nearby. They have a great selection of organic soft drinks. The restaurant had lots of customers and I waited about 5 minutes for my pizza since I was early. I really enjoyed the sourdough crust with the charring. However, they really skimped on toppings. I barely had any bacon or Italian sausage. The 12" pizza left me wanting more since I was still hungry. Wish they had a larger size. For me, overall, just an average pie that I wish had more toppings!

I had wanted to try this place for a while. The pizza was very good. My husband ordered the meat pizza and I ordered the Margherita pizza. We loved them. We came on a Friday night and it was busy. It's a smaller place with not as many tables. We ended up waiting about 50 minutes for our 2 pizzas. They weren't understaffed or anything. They had a lot of employees. It was frustrating waiting for that long because we had our 2 year old and she is very active and she was running around and had a hard time waiting. I get it was a Friday night and busy but 50 or so minutes is ridiculous for 2 pizzas. They would bring out a pizza to a table and then it would be a good while until they brought out another. It was ridiculous. We enjoyed the food but our first experience wasn't that great because of the wait.

I loved this pizza! It does taste more high-end than a normal pizza place. You walk up to the cash register, order what you want, and choose your seat. They have a fun selection of drinks and the pizzas come out quickly. The service was excellent! Although this is not a traditional restaurant where they take your order at the table, the server still checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambience is definitely more casual, targeting a college age group. While families can come here, I anticipate at this place will get crowded in the evening. Can also accommodate multiple sized parties because you can push tables together.

MOZZ is delicious! First time here tonight and now we know what we have been missing out on! The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and the service is great. The Caesar salad was light and refreshing. The garlic cheese bread was absolutely delicious and a must try. It had so much flavor and the marinara dipping sauce was perfect. The quality of the dough is some of the best I've had in Utah. The Sopressa pizza was light and flavorful. The flavors complemented each other perfectly! The quality is something you can taste in every single bite. I look forward to my next visit. I was very impressed.

Oh man, this might be the best wood-fired pizza in Utah. Dough is spot on, and the topping/cheese ratio is pure. Great job, guys! Service was outstanding! My only "critique" is they were slightly slightly over fired. I love char, and that is what makes it what it is...but it was a just little heavy.

Legitimately one of the best pizza spots in Utah. Back in 2020, it made the "top 100 places to try" list. For a reason! I got the Serrano pizza. Excellent mixture of cheese, garlic, sause, and salami. It was so freaking incredible I wanted another one for a midnight snack. I took my dad here and he couldn't believe how tasty it was. He's one of those dudes who just sticks to your basic papa johns/murphys/dominos, etc. haha. He was floored. I will DEFINITELY be coming back more. And I will continue to recommend this place to everyone who comes to Utah. It's right up there with Settebellos!

We only got the leek pizza which was good! The crust was thin and cooked well, and the leek flavor was yummy! The pizza was a good size to share with a second person for a quick meal. It was a bit pricey for the amount of pizza you get though. Service was fast. Inside was a bit crowded and hot. I'll definitely take advantage of the student night (25% off), although I imagine it's pretty busy too!

This is a staple for 10 days every year when I head to Provo for the FILMQUEST movie festival. Here's the deal - this is by far THE BEST non gluten crust pizza in the west. And I have tried them all! Seriously fresh, local sourced ingredients and superb flavors. I eat there at least 3-4 times during my trip as it's next door to The Velour (convenient) and delicious!

Abby was absolutely incredible! She was nonstop running back and forth helping customers, managing orders, restocking, and keeping everything running smoothly. You're so lucky to have someone who works as hard and efficiently as she does!

Everything about this place is great. We were driving through Provo on a Sunday and they happen to be open! The service was kind and fast. Pizza was delicious, 12" size with thin crust you can tell was hand made. Caesar salad homemade dressing not creamy bottled. And the fountain drinks were our favorite...organic craft soft drinks! Cherry cream and blood orange . Atmosphere was clean and eclectic. Overall a top 10star!

This pizza was DELICIOUS! Not only was the food 5 STARS, but so was the staff, and just everything about this place! We had a lot of questions while ordering, and Kayla & Hannah were super helpful, nice, friendly & great at helping us order just what we wanted! Then we were also helped by Jason & Brady from the back to get more info about making pizza at home and being able to buy some of their products to do so... loved our experience & we will definitely be regulars here! Sooo Yummm

Absolutely outstanding!!! Try their corn pizza!! I don't even like corn! I don't even like cilantro! It is LEGENDARY!!!!! Great crust- only 4 ingredients. Some of the best wood fired pizza around PS- the cookies are above and beyond your normal chocolate chip cookie! Give those a go too!!

Mozz pizza is top of the line gourmet thin crust pizza. We loved everything we tried. They have seasonal options + dairy free options which tells me that they're keeping up with the times. The drink options are delicious and unique - we tried every flavor of the specialty soda they offer and we enjoyed them all! The ambiance is eclectic, warm, and fun. This is a great spot for a date night or a meal with friends. The wait on the food was reasonable with the place being packed and the cashier was kind and informative. Look up parking before you go, it can be difficult to find a spot in this area.

Mozz is absolutely supreme, few can even be compared. We've been back a handful of times after first trying their food stuffs a few months back. The Garlic Bread. OH DEAR LORD, PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN. If you eat this phenomenally seasoned and herbed butter smothered atop one of the best hot breads I've tasted, you will undoubtedly be unable to remove the experience from your mind. The bread is nicely crispy on the outside while soft and lusciously chewy inside. 10/10 would recommend. The Spicy Honey is fantastic, not overly spicy, but not without some bite. Serrano peppers are used here, sliced delightfully thin - providing incredible pepper flavor with some added heat. Their pepperoni is also lovely, and a favorite here for sure. The Margarita is also wonderful. Basil, instead of being GIGANTIC whole leaves you will find far more enjoyable smaller bits, spaced with awareness in creating as many perfect bites in a single pie as humanly possible... The Leek provides an awesomely aromatic experience for any onion lover, and also adds additional points for such a unique slice. Farfetch'd is BEYOND proud. Do yourself a favor and go check out Mozz ASAP - it's undoubtedly my current go to for a pie in Provo, SLC OR SoJo/Daybreak.

A wood-fired, artisanal sourdough crust. An artisanal bread flour rather than a Neopolitan 00 making the cornicione less light and airy but with a nice chew. Highly salted dough with nice leopard spotting. 8.5/10. Still prefer Firehouse in Casper. Excellent quick service. Pizzas are 12 inch and bake about 90 seconds.

I live in New York and this beats out a lot of pizza spots there. The ranch is freshly made and delicious. The margarita pizza and meat calzone were fantastic as well. Staff was as kind as can be. Everything was impeccably clean as well.

We stumbled in here by accident. We tried to get into a few restaurants close by but they were full, but we were SO glad we came here because this pizza is so good!! We ordered, Serrano and honey pizza - this was our favorite, such a yummy balance of the spicy and sweet combo, get it! Meat pizza - very good, the boys especially loved this one! Sweet corn pizza - to all of our surprise we loved this one, the sweet corn with the goat cheese, so delicious! Suprema pizza - another great one with that house made sausage!! Cauliflower- probably our least favorite, but still good, it just needed a little more depth of flavor, a little bland. You should absolutely try this pizza, and I will absolutely be back for more!

Incredible and authentic Italian Pizza in Provo! Impressed with how fresh every ingredient was. Their sodas are by tractor beverage company and are also incredible and really add to the experience. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I'll definitely be back if I am in the Provo area again.

I almost drove away when I couldn't find parking but then finally found something around the block and I'm glad I didn't give up! The restaurant was warm and inviting and clean. I even took a pic of the bathroom bc it was so cute. I ordered a gluten free white pizza. I was bummed when I saw it ring up as cauliflower crust but it was actually amazing. I was so impressed with the softness and it even had bubbles in it! And who knew ricotta and lemon zest went together in a savory dish so well. Also shout out to the blonde order taker. I'd just dropped my kids with their grandparents and was feeling lonely and she not only talked to me at the register but asked a follow up question later when I was sitting alone in the corner with my book. It was touching! Thank you!

At MOZZ you can find friendly service and yummy pizza with a good menu. The crust was good and it tasted like the pizza was made with quality ingredients. The pizza was prepared well with generous toppings. Great place for lunch or even casual date.

They appear to have a lot going for them, beautiful place inside and seemingly spectacular ingredients, however the execution left a lot to be desired. The pizza was burnt, and what wasn't burnt was average to the taste. The chocolate chip cookie was pure salt. The Caesar salad was enjoyable. Amiable service.

I had never been to Mozz until last week and I've lived in Utah county for so long. I feel ashamed. The restaurant has very laid back vibe, with an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. I didn't expect it to be fast casual but it was great. I went here for my wedding lunch and the staff was so nice. I was having a bit of a day with adrenaline and they were so kind. The pizza was fantastic I loved all of them, the Asparagus to me was a stand out for sure and I am definitely going back for it. The combo was also amazing anything with green olives is my favorite! My family raves about the pizza a week later and also the cheese bread which I didn't get any of (rude but they loved it so much they at all of it!) The Caesar salad was outstanding as well. When I have my big celebration I may or may not ask for a gift card to here since I'm obsessed! Thank you for making a Bride's day even better Mozz!

The Leek pizza was to die for!!! So delicious. Wonderfully casual ambience, and the staff here are so incredibly kind and gracious!!! I had my two Aussies with me in the car and I asked if I could get some water from the soda fountain for them, and they replied, "if they are well behaved and can sit under your table just bring them in! It's so warm out." I was so grateful! They even brought them two pieces of salami and gave me extra water. Best dinner I could have hoped for after a long day of driving through Utah! Thank you!

Tried this spot while in town based on Yelp reviews. I am glad I did! Ambience and service were good, the pizza was great. Definitely recommend the cheese bread and tried a variety of pizzas...they were all fresh with great taste! Was too full to try desserts but saw a couple of them come out and they looked delicious as well.

We ordered to go and both pizzas were so delicious! We had it fresh for lunch and reheated in a pan for dinner and it was still soo good! I also got the chocolate chip sea salt cookie and it completed the meal.

I was debating between 3-4 stars but decided on 4. Selection of pizzas is pretty good, with some for the adventurous and not-so-adventurous. The sodas are also pretty interesting, there was one that was cucumber or something and it was amazing. The pizza comes out quick and hot. The crust is really good, the toppings are very complimentary as well. The decorations inside are really cool and has a great ambience.

I went here with a friend one evening for something fast before we went to dry bar comedy show that was nearby. The location is pretty lovely. It's modern, clean with some local charm. There was a picture of Brigham Young with a pizza beard if I remember correctly. It was pretty packed on a Friday evening, so we ordered to go. It took some time to get our order through the system but while everyone else had table numbers we didn't so we were a little anxious about receiving our order. Luckily enough they brought the boxes directly to us. The pizzas themselves were good with unique flavors and thinner crust. It's definitely more bougie ($$$) than any other pizza in the area. While I enjoyed it, I don't think I'll be back since I'm not a Provo local.

This is a great pizza place in the heart of downtown Provo. Unique pizza flavors and a nice, modern interior make for an always enjoyable experience. The front of house staff are welcoming and friendly. The pizza itself is some of the best in Utah. Their dough recipe is outstanding. The flavor is perfect and the texture has a nice chew to it. I recommend trying the Margherita or the Serrano honey.

Amazing food and service. I had the pepperoni with the hot honey sauce, Cesar salad and the Mint Blackberry soda. Amazing. Definitely going back.

If you're in the mood for thin-crust, high-quality, better-than-brick-oven-and-definitely-better-than-little-caesar's pizza, then you've found the right place! I LOVE MOZZ! My favorite has to be the Serrano honey. I've never had such a uniquely flavored pizza that works so well. Sweet, spicy, and cheesy. Mmm. Suprema is a close second. The home-made sodas on tap are a nice touch. I'd recommend the cherry cream, kinda tastes like a sweeter Dr Pepper. And make sure to check out the art gallery in the back! Lots of cool local art on display and for sale. Also, if you're looking for dessert, you can walk about 1 block south for some ice cream at Rockwell!

Some of the best pizza around! I love that they use sourdough for their crust, make their mozzarella in house and use local produce. We ordered cheese bread and a pepperoni pizza. My favorite was definitely the pepperoni pizza. We visited on a Friday afternoon and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The staff were all very friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. It's super cute inside and I appreciated the high chairs for babies.

Food was fantastic. They have fun soda options. Almost took off a star as the service could have been more helpful, but it didn't ruin my experience.

The place is in an older Building but the decor and way they have remodeled looks fresh and modern. The cashier was so helpful and friendly and happy to be there. She suggest led things for us and checked on us every time she walked by. LOVe this place. I'll go back for sure.

Provo is a hot spot for good food and this place does not disappoint. The pizza vibe is thumping with the music next door. My personal fav was the Serrano honey was the perfect blend of sweet spicy and classic pepperoni flavors. The crust was firm enough to hold its shape. Soft enough for great texture. And cooked enough from the gorgeous fire oven that the flavor just tied all the elements of a great tasting pizza. Order at counter and wait for the deliciousness to come to you. Delivered by one of their pizza pros. Keep it up. I would definitely be back when in the area and I have that pizza crave.

I love Mozz. My wife and I have been eating here for a couple of years now. The White pizza at Mozz is the only white pizza I trust in the state of Utah. I have yet to find a place the serves one as good as the one at Mozz. Also, their Mediterranean salad is out of this world. So good. I love everything I have tried from their menu.

MOZZ continues to impress. If you want a pizza with fresh simple clean ingredients, this is your place. The Honey Serrano pizza is my ATF. They have a good thing going and have kept it going. Well played MOZZ.

Being from New Jersey my pizza expectations were high, but Mozz did not disappoint. I went with a group of friends and we decided to split a bunch of different pizzas. The corn pizza was really interesting and different. I definitely enjoyed it but it didn't satisfy my pizza craving. The hot honey pizza was amazing as well but you have to like spicy to enjoy it. The margherita pizza was really good and an easy fan favorite. The soppressa pizza we got was okay, but not as good as the others. I recommend skipping the meat lovers pizza it wasn't that great. One of my friends also ordered the half Caesar salad that was really yummy and a decent sized portion.

Stopped in for a quick lunch based upon reviews. This pizza eatery, prides itself on simple ingredients and unique food. There are about 40 to 50 seats, half stools and half tables/booths. I asked for a recommendation, and I went with the white pizza. The 4-ingredient crust has a nice texture, and the pizza was good. My colleague had the ham and cheese Panini, which was a good size. The fountain drinks are sourced from a local business...And had some interesting flavors, such as, coconut and cucumber, besides cola. Slightly expensive at $16-18 for a personal pie Definitely worth a stop.
